“Hmm. A day it is, then. If you fail in it, you better pack all your bags and be ready” he warned, before ending the call.
Olivia could feel her head drenched in sweat and her legs buckled as she stood up. Pulling herself together, she sighed.
“Sorry Kiara. It’s time” Olivia said, before making a call to her brother who just went to make a secret appointment with Queen mother Greta.
…..
“Sister in law, It seems like Olivia and Oldie are going to meet. Should I eavesdrop on them?” Eliina asked Brina using the pager she herself designed for secret purposes like these.
“No. Don’t. You took a lot of risk in order to help me, Elle. I don’t want you to get involved anymore. It will be better if you destroy every evidence that might point to you. Pretend as if you don’t know anything, all right” Brina texted, sending short sentences.
As Eliina already got warned by Brina to be extremely cautious while carrying out the task,she has taken all the measures to make it look like a normal checkup.
She created fake reports, to create evidence that she has her horse’s go throu-ghcheck-up on consecutive three days of every month. She made sure everything looked normal and she didn’t do it to sue Olivia’s plan.
At same time she also destroyed all evidence that might trace her relationship with Brina.

“So, what do you want to do now, Lady Olivia? Your grandfather called me again. Haven’t you told me that you prepared a flawless plan? How can you get targeted so easily?” Greta fired up too.
“I didn’t get targeted,your Highness. It was my bad luck and Brina’s fortunate luck. Your granddaughter Eliina seems to be so filial towards all the trivial responsibilities she got alloted to.” Olivia told her.
“It wasn’t any of our mistake to miss such a minute detail that Eliina is serious about taking care of those mere animals.
Who would have thought that she is so adamant to make the horse’s go throu-ghthe intense check-up every month?”
“And, to our bad luck she conducted those check-up’s right before the event and the drug thing got out.” Owen told them.
“My granddaughter doesn’t have any other work to do anyway.” Greta scoffed.
“Instead of learning all the etiquette skills and lady manners, she is more interested in other things. In addition to this, her parents are more inclined to support whatever she wanted to do!!” Greta scoffed.
“Anyway, to our luck, my son asked me to see throu-ghthis. Fortunately, he is reluctant to make Royal guards and detectives get involved in these matters, thinking that it would cause trouble.
So, before he changes his mind we have to divert the issue” Greta said. “Your Highness, I have a back-up plan. But I want your help to implement it” Olivia said to Queen Greta.
“Are you sure, Lady Olivia? If something goes wrong your grandfather will not show mercy on you” she told her. ‘Even I will be doomed’ she thought.

At night…
It is only when the incredible news came out, shocking everyone. Just today, it was found out that Brina’s horse was drugged and it was not an accident but a clear sabotage.
King Edgar has also announced that an investigation is in the process.
But no one thought that this case would be solved this fast. It was truly impressive however, it was so shocking as well.
They clearly didn’t expect this result… not even in the dreams!!
Meanwhile, Louis and Brina are cozily resting on the bed, eating ice cream and fli-rting with each other.
As the night times are only times they could invest in spending with each other, they would totally enjoy it to the extent… be it a make out, movie time or whatever.
However, for Louis, it became very difficult for him to control his urges. Every pas-sing day is making him very desperate to marry her as soon as possible and enter the new phase of their lives.
Sometimes, he even started giving serious thought to marrying her secretly even before the competitions could complete.
Like this no one can stop him from making her his official spouse.
However, he is also aware that Brina would never agree to this idea. She in fact, didn’t even allow him to help her in winning the competitions.
Then how will she agree to this? She doesn’t want to smear his name because of his love for her. She wants it fair and square, so Louis could only keep his thoughts to himself.
To be frank, he even has the rings ready for their marriage and he even has the venue ready.
It’s a church where his mother and father met for the first time during their time in Alpha Academy.
“Babe, your prediction has come true. Have a look” Louis chuckled when his phone vibr@ted with news.
Brina, who was resting her head on his che-st and playing with ice cream, tilted her head, peeking into his phone.
‘Culprit got caught. Lady Kiara of the House Veeinos was the mastermind behind the drugging.’
It was the headlines of all the tabloids and it was all over the news channels, shocking everyone, even Kiara and her House.
The only people who were immune to it were Brina, Louis, Olivia and Queen mother Greta. It is because the couple are already aware of it and Olivia was the one who did it.
“Hmm. All we have to do is wait now” Brina chuckled. Louis hu-gged her and ki-ssed her forehead.
“I will have to go now, baby. As my grandmother and Olivia pushed the blame on Kiara and it is what you have wanted, I have to make sure no mishaps happen.”
“Sleep early, hon” Brina said and ki-ssed his li-ps before sending him away. Later, she took her tablets and slept. As if nothing happened and she is the most innocent of all.
Meanwhile, Kiara was trembling to her core. She crumbled on the floor with her head touching her knees and her arms covering her face.
She couldn’t help but sob. How did she get caught?
How??
Didn’t Olivia say that she will make sure nothing wrong will happen?
A few days back…
After Olivia praised Kiara in front of Owen, Kiara was totally ecstatic. She was totally grateful to Olivia fir backing her up.
Kiara’s main target, fixed by her parents and her House members, is to get close to Owen, the next head of House Lykaios and elder brother of Olivia.
Kiara’s House, House Veinnos, were adamant to make a social alliance with the House Lykaios with a marriage between their children. They wanted to elevate their power and status by making House Lykaios as their in law’s
So, Kiara was constantly for-ced to get close to both Olivia and Owen. However, Owen was not at all interested in her and it made Kirar even more restless.
The increase in pressure from her House made her so desperate. And, Owen started talking to her only after Olivia praised Kiara in front of Owen.
Though Kiara doesn’t like Olivia, it has totally taken an opposite turn when Olivia stood up for her and suggested to Owen that she (Kiara) is a potential candidate.
However, she failed very miserably in seeing throu-ghthe ulterior motives of these cunning siblings.
Totally grateful to Olivia and in order to get close to the siblings, she blindly agreed to do whatever Olivia asked her to do.
‘Kiara, if I rank first and become Queen, you will be one of the people who will get profit. I will make sure you will marry my brother and become the mistress of the almighty House Lykaios. And, in order to achieving all these, I nee-d your help’
It is what Olivia said to Kiara and Kiara who was totally elated and flying in her own dream land, right away agreed.
Without asking questions, she injected the drug while she went riding on the next day.
As Olivia as-sured her that this act won’t be found out and doing these types of risks are must to achieve the goals, Kiara didn’t have any options but to do it.
Even Owen became very close to her after that day of their deal. They even met for dinner on the same day Olivia was supposed to have dinner with Louis.
And… and, Owen ki-ssed her as well. He promised that he would marry her after Olivia became Queen.
Kiara was too happy to even think of consequences!
She was foolish enough….
Foolish enough to blindly believe in someone. However, at the end of the day, she is still a candidate of the competition and her support matters a lot.
That is why she isn’t an insignificant fly to ignore. And, as she is foolish enough and can easily get manipulated, Brina selected her as her first target.
Moreover, foolish people are more loyal to their saviors if they were saved from something dreadful. And, Brina couldn’t think of a suitable situation other than this.
And that was the very reason Kiara was more loyal to Olivia as well. She was grateful to Olivia for helping her with Owen.
Moreover Kiara was confident that Olivia, who was very keen with whatever she did, would never fail.
In her eyes, Olivia is cleverest and incredibly powerful. But little she knew there is someone who is more better than Olivia and relatively kind hearted.

Everything crumbled to ashes.
Kiara is all over the news!
Olivia’s plan was sued and the victim was not Olivia but her!!
She didn’t know what to do and she couldn’t help but shiver, thinking of the consequences.
Will she… will she get kicked out from competition?
Will Olivia abandon her?
And, will Owen disagree to take her into consideration??
What if she fails in marrying Owen? Will her parents abandon her?
Will she be for-ced out of her ‘Lady’ position and sent away abroad like her elder sister who failed to secure the alliance?
All these thoughts made Kiara shiver and cry more.
Meanwhile, all of her House members were in the same tension. Unlike Olivia’s House, Kiara’s House is less powerful but in contrast, they have good unity and support each other throu-ghthin.
Fortunately, this revelation didn’t cause any internet rifts. All of them are in unity, trying to save their House’s prestige.
However, they aren’t very kind to stand with Kiara throu-ghher tough times. They insisted that she should make her way out of this or else she will be for-ced out of her ‘Lady of the House’ position.

After half an hour…
Kiara got a letter from Olivia. Though she wanted to talk throu-ghthe phone, Olivia didn’t want to risk it.
So, she sent a letter. .
‘Kiara, I am sorry for this trouble, dear. I didn’t expect Princess Eliina to keep tabs on her horse’s and the real reports reached the King even before we could figure it out. That is the reason we got caught but don’t worry Kiara, Queen mother Greta said she will help us. I had to beg her so much in helping us and fortunately she said she will make sure you will not get banished from participating in the event.’
‘All you have to do is confess that you did this because of your own personal reasons and you haven’t targeted anyone. Just tell that you wanted to get into top ranks and that was the reason you drugged the horse. Queen mother Greta will take care of everything else. Trust me in this and I will keep my word, sister in law’
Sister in law…
These words were enough for Kiara to forget everything. She isn’t in this competition for Prince Edward but for Owen. So, ultimately she achieved what she wanted.
An hour after…
“Mother, what do you mean?” King Edgar asked furiously.
“How can you let a culprit continue in competitions? It’s totally absurd” he added.
Queen mother Greta sighed and continued to glare at her son.
“Edgar, though she is allowed to continue, I have allocated enough negative points to keep her in bott-om ranks. She can no way get into top and moreover, think about the current situation. Though her House isn’t powerful, we have to be on good terms with them and we can’t just spoil it by banishing the lady of their House.”
“So, let’s just allow her. There is nothing we are losing her. Besides, her house will remain grateful to us” Greta reasoned.
King Edgar couldn’t retaliate back as well.
His mother is right. Especially at this time, they have to stabilize the kingdom and make sure all the Houses will remain loyal to them.
“And, what is the reason for her actions?” King Edgar asked.
“She is greedy to get into top ranks. She didn’t specifically target anyone and no one helped her from inside. As she is last but two she didn’t have much to lose and I made sure she will reflect her actions, all right.” Greta said.
Though King Edgar wanted to do something more, he is helpless. She is his mother and also Queen mother he can’t just retaliate.
“All right mom. I will leave this to you. However, this second event should not be taken into consideration. So, the ranks from first even will be the final ranks as for now” King Edgar said.
That means, Brina is still in the top and she didn’t lose anything but gained.
