EPISODE 78
And, as soon as Louis’s eyes fell on the love of his life, he felt his heart skip a beat.
His eyes teared up and their sweet memories flashed in front of his eyes.
Their R0m-ntic nights, make outs during movie times, sneaking ki-sses in office hours.. everything just danced in front of his eyes. Those times have been so blissful that he couldn’t help but miss those days.
He missed her so badly that it became very difficult for him to control his emotions. Louis couldn’t help but remember the morning on his birthday. She was sleeping so peacefully and blissfully that he didn’t have the heart to wake her up.
And, that was the last time he has seen her till now.
Just that night before that day, Louis was so happy and that was his best birthday ever. But what happened that next morning made it the worst birthday in his life.
He left her to suffer, he abandoned her and became the reason for her turmoils.
If not for the mask hiding his face, one could have seen his emotions clearly. They would have un-derstood how important Brina was to him.
Meanwhile, Brina was on the same page as well.
If this wouldn’t have happened, they would have already done the deed on his birthday night and would have been indulging themselves in love making right now.
They would have been enjoying their lovey dovey moments in their penthouse.
And, this is the least expected situation they have ever thought of.
Introducing herself to her own boyfriend with whom she has shared her bed for many months?
What an irony!!
Meanwhile, composing their emotions, Brina stepped near to Louis and slightly bowed in the style Charlotte taught her.
“I am Brina from House of Landon.” she said, trying very ha-rd not to showcase her overwhelming emotions.
Only she knows how she is feeling now!
Meanwhile, Louis slightly gulped, disregarding his erratic heartbeats. He ki-ssed the back of her palm.
“It’s a plea-sure to have you here, Lady Brina. Have a good time.” he politely told her, before he freed her hand from his grip.
He didn’t forget to give a slight squee-zeto her hand.
How much he wishes to ki-ss her cherry like li-ps and ravish them. More than ki-ssing her hand, he would have preferred to ki-ss his favorite sp-ot on her ne-ck. He would have preferred to squee-zeher wai-st rather than her hand.
…
“Are you fine, Brina?” Hailey worriedly asked when she saw a tear rolling down on Brina’s cheek.
They are now in the private powder room and Brina has removed her mask.
“I got emotional.” Brina said, dabbing the skin around her eyes.
Hailey simply didn’t know what to tell. So, she just hu-gged Brina and patted her back.
“Everything will get normal soon.” she comforted her.
Brina sniffled once and nodded her head. Her eyes returned back to normal.
“Let’s go.” Brina said and they went back to the ballroom.
As it was custom to start the dance with their brothers, Brina and Calvin started to dance.
…
“Baby.” Louis whispered to Brina.
At last Brina got to dance with Louis and as everyone was busy dancing, they just got some time to talk.
Louis has one of his hands holding hers, while the other hand is on her wai-st. Their faces are not too close but they are near enough so that others wouldn’t listen to what they are talking.
“I missed you so much.” he whispered.
“Me too.” Brina said, ti-ghtening her grip on his palms.
“And, you are so beautiful, baby. I love you so much.” Louis said, his voice so cute in Brina’s ears.
“You love me because I am beautiful?” Brina asked.
“Yep. I love you because you are beautiful by your heart.” Louis seriously confessed.
As they are in the public eye, he couldn’t act sentimental.
“Are you trying to flatter me, Prince Edward. Or, is it your silver tongue?” Brina asked.
“Br-” Louis is about to tell something, but they got interrupted when Princess Penelope walked to them.
“I guess it’s our turn now, Prince Edward.” she said, her voice warm and friendly.
Louis nodded his head and looked at Brina with an apologetic look. He wanted to dance more with his girlfriend but..
“Have a good time, Lady Brina.” Louis said and freed her from his hands.
As soon as Louis got ‘dragged’ by another suitor, Calvin who was waiting not too far from them, walked to her and they continued dancing.
Soon the masquerade party got completed and everyone returned back to their respective room.
Tomorrow will be the official introduction and the first public appearance. However, as it is a masquerade theme, Brina is not worried about her identity.
“Lady Brina, do you nee-d my help to get changed?” a maid in Brina’s allocated floor asked as soon as she returned back.
“No. Thank you.” Brina replied. The maid bowed to her and left the suite.
“I didn’t notice but there is a hu-ge difference between Louis’s penthouse and this suite. He might have designed his penthouse so that it would resemble his home.” Brina talked to herself as she looked around.
The penthouse which they have shared is modern and minimalistic but the real penthouse in which Charlotte stayed, resembled this interior design.
Brina went to her bedroom and walked into the closet. Standing in front of the mirror, she closed her eyes and started pulling her zi-p down.
But she almost jumped in fright, when she felt something w£t touching the middle of her back.
Immediately, she opened her eyes and the first thing she saw is the reflection of Louis in the mirror.
He just ki-ssed the middle of her back and shifted his li-ps to her ne-ck, ki-ssing and suc-king his favorite sp-ot, he wrapped an arm around her wai-st, pulling her into his body.
“Lo.. Louis.. you.. you what are you doing here?” Brina asked in shock as she wriggled in his arms.
“Of course to meet with you, baby.” he said, pulling her zi-p up.
“I know that! What if someone saw you? Are you out of your mind, Louis?” Brina worriedly snapped.
“Yep.. I am out of my mind for you, honey. And, don’t worry.. no one saw me. I used the secret chambers and stairs which directly lead me into your bedroom.” he chuckled.
“My bedroom?” Brina asked, shocked.
“Yeah! Every suite in the palace is connected via secret chambers to escape, in case of invasion. If we know the map, we can sneak in too.” he chuckled, pecking all over her nak-ed shoulders and back.
He simply couldn’t control himself!
Brina controlled her M0-n and smacked his hand. She took a step away from him, not letting him ki-ss her or hu-g her.
Louis pouted and looked at her cutely. It’s been six nights he hasn’t tou-ched her!
“Prince Edward, don’t you think this is illegal to sneak into a ‘strangers’ room?” Brina asked.
When their relationship is in question mark, how can she let this continue? What if she doesn’t win and he gets engaged to another woman?
Louis of course un-derstood her intentions. He suddenly pulled her into his arms, letting her crash into his body.
“Listen Brina baby. I am Prince Edward to others.. but for you, I will always be Louis, the employee.” he firmly said.
cu-pping her face, he lightly sque-ezed her chin. “And, I love you, honey.. I love you so much that I wouldn’t be able to marry anyone except you.” he said.
He lifted her face so that she could look into his red and angry eyes. “Did you think that I asked you to come here to compete for me, Brina? I am yours and how can you think that I will let others take me away from you? No matter who wins this bloody competition.. you will be the only woman I will agree to marry.”
“Even if you lose, I have my own way, darling! It’s going to be a lot messy and problematic, but I am not going to back off. I will not let any others control our marriage, got it?” he said.
Seeing the tears in Brina’s eyes it is only when Louis controlled his ragging emotions. He sighed and ki-ssed her forehead.
“I got scared, Louis. I got scared that I will lose you.” Brina said, hu-gging him so ti-ght.
“I know.. I was afraid too.” he said, hu-gging her back. He pec-ked her head and ru-bbed her back.
“But baby, I have full confidence in you that you will easily win over those ladies. These competitions are nothing to you my love. Trust me.” he said, caressing her head.
Brina nodded her head and continued hu-gging Louis.
After a few seconds, Louis whispered “Let’s dance, love. I was not at all satisfied with the short dance we had.”
Brina chuckled and nodded her head. Taking his hand, she placed it on her lower back. Entwining their fingers, she pec-ked his li-ps. “Of course.”
Louis ki-ssed her eyes and he turned on the R0m-ntic music on his phone.
Then they started dancing.. pouring all their emotions, their longing and love for each other.
Time flew by and it was almost twelve in midnight.
Louis and Brina are sitting on the couch horizontally, with her in his arms. Though they aren’t talking, this silence was enough for them to pour all their love.
Lying on his che-st, Brina asked, “Aren’t you going back to your chamber?”
“Nope. From today on, I will stay with you here. After we get officially engaged then we can shift to my quarter.” Louis said, making Brina speechless.
Seriously??!!
What if someone sees them?
This isn’t anymore a CEO-Employee relationship!
“Don’t be kiddish, Louis! What if someone enters my room or yours and finds us sleeping nak-ed? Won’t it be the end of-” Brina got stopped when she felt Louis’s hot gaze on her.
Why is she feeling like something bad is going to happen?
Brina gulped and looked up, only to see his scorching eyes.
“Wh.. what?” She asked but shrieked when he abruptly lifted her and carried her to the bed on his shoulders.
“Hey.. hey.. what are you doing now? Didn’t you just want to just sleep?” Brina asked in a hurried tone.
“I actually wanted to ‘just’ sleep, honey. But you are the one who awoke the sleeping beast.” Louis said, deposition Brina in bed.
“Huh? When have I-” Brina stopped abruptly, when she un-derstood what he meant.
‘Sleeping nak-ed.’
It provoked the beast..
“Got it, honey?” Louis asked, getting on top of her.
“So petty for the future King.” Brina said, shaking her head.
“In front of you, I am always the petty, jealous Louis.. irrespective of whether I am an employee or CEO or Prince or a King.” Louis whispered in her ear as his hands started unbu-ttoning her pajama’s shirt.
“You really know how to flatter a girl, dear boyfriend. It will be helpful for you from tomorrow.” Brina chuckled and her hands involuntarily reached for his t-shirt.
Who can blame them for being desperate? They have indeed suffered so much in these few days and this is the exact way to let out their emotions and bad memories.
“For me, you are the one and only woman, love. Those ladies are nothing in my eyes.” Louis said, pressing her into the bed. He started ki-ssing her ne-ck, shoulders and cleavage..
…..
The next morning…
It was almost five thirty in the morning when Louis woke up. This is the first time he peacefully slept after coming back to Aletros.
His babygirl is in his arms and her head is buried in his che-st. Her steady breathing is warmly lingering on his body and that was enough for Louis to realize that he isn’t dreaming and his Brina has really come for him.
Their clothes are thrown carelessly on the floor while the warm duvet was covering both their bodies.
Their limbs were tangled up in such a way that it was difficult to differentiate.
