EPISODE 74
“If Will is the only reason why that is stopping you, please don’t worry about him. We will protect him with all our life and in these two months nothing much will happen. If we are lucky, his surgery will be successful and he might wake up too.” Harry said.
“If you decided not to go, I have also arranged everything that you might want. But I am sure that path will be more tough and emotionally harsh on you, compared to this. My opinion is better if you go to the Aletros Kingdom and win your love back. See, how have you become just in these four days? I am sure you cannot live without him.”
Brina nodded her head and she was about to talk but a knock on the door cut her off.
Charlotte peeked inside and instantly smiled in relief.
“Girl, you made all of us worry.” she said, almost running to Brina to hu-g her.
However, she stopped remembering that they aren’t actually on good terms right now.. not knowing what to do, she awkwardly combed her hair with her fingers and pursed her li-ps.
Brina chuckled. She un-derstood why Charlotte stopped.
“Come, give me a hu-g like you always do. What’s stopped you?” Brina said as she extended her arms to her, shocking Charlotte.
However, she quickly composed herself and immediately hu-gged Brina, a tear rolled down on both of their cheeks.
The whole room was overwhelmed with an emotional environment but even Harry felt sentimental seeing these two girls.
Within a very short span of time they have actually become good friends.
“I thought you.. ar.. are angry with us.” Charlotte said, her voice slightly stuttering.
She has missed Brina as well.
“Why will I be angry at you or Louis? You guys didn’t ask for this.. I am just upset and shocked…. not angry” Brina said, her voice mirroring Charlotte’s.
“I didn’t know how to respond to this sudden shock and I was not ready to take a decision back then. I nee-ded time and some alone moments to control my unstable emotions.” she added, slightly sobbing.
“You suffered a lot, didn’t you? We are sorry for bringing this on to you, Brina.” Charlotte said, both girls started crying again.
It’s just too sentimental for them.
Especially, when their mental state is more fragile.
Meanwhile, Daniel came inside with a phone in his hand and quietly gestures to Harry that it is Louis in the call and he wanted to talk with Brina.
Harry nodded his head and nudged Charlotte, discreetly.
Getting her cue she excused herself and Daniel stepped in, extending his arm to Brina.
“Sister-in-law, Louis wants to talk to you.” he said. No matter what, he has already decided that Brina is his only sister-in-law.
No one can compliment Louis other than her.. at least not in his eyes.
Brina’s eyelashes shuddered and her eyes got blurred with tears. Her li-ps quivered and she could feel her whole body shivering with unfathomable emotions overwhelming her heart.
Though it had been around four days they had talked, she felt as if month’s had pas-sed.
Meanwhile, others have silently left the room, providing some alone time for the couple to rele-ase their yearning for each other.
On the other side of the call, Louis is facing the same immense feelings as Brina.
He is love sick!!
For a few moments, none of them spoke. All they could hear is their erratic breaths.
A tear rolled down on Brina’s cheek and she pressed her palm against her mouth, so that Louis wouldn’t be able to hear the muffled sobs.
Meanwhile, Louis is no different. His aloof and indifferent facade was long back peeled off, replacing it with longing and sentimental face.
“Brina.” Louis tried to manage not to stutter over his words but miserably failed to do so.
As soon as Brina sensed the heaviness in his voice, even her dam crumbled down, making it difficult for her to control her emotions anymore.
“I missed you so.. so much.” Louis said in a shaky voice.
Brina pursed her li-ps and wiped away her tears. “I missed you very much too.” she said, her voice mixed with sobs and sniffles.
“Baby, come back to me please?” Louis said, almost urging her.
“I will protect you with my life… I promise! And I will not let anyone harm Will either. This is the hu-ge step for us to take and if we back off, we can never be together…. please, don’t leave me”
“And, if that happens I can’t live. I will be nothing but a living dead. Just in these four days, I felt like I was dying without seeing you. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat.. I was not able to do anything. Even when I close my eyes, all I can remember is our moments together.”
“Everytime I hear someone talking, all I could think of is all the promises that I have made to you. I am so sorry that I have caused this trouble to you, baby girl. To be frank, I never thought that this will happen.. not even in my slightest dreams.”
“I would have told you earlier but I thought this won’t be an obstacle.. I am sorry that I let down your trust on me. This time, I don’t even deserve to ask for a second chance and I don’t know if I could persuade you to give me another chance..”
“I totally lost my face to even beg for it.” Louis said, his voice breaking apart at the last sentence.
Brina could listen to his sobs and his de-ep breath.
She could no longer help but to cry along with him.
Till now, she was still in a dilemma, torn between her love for Louis and her responsibility to protect Will.
But, when she heard her lover’s words.. she could no longer as-sure herself that she could manage to live without him.
These four days without him have shown her how real hell feels like. If she is this downcasted and unstable in the first place, how can she protect Will?
On the contrary, she will become the reason for his downfall too.
Louis is like a mental and physical harbour for her, keeping her happy and sane. He is the only person who has the tendency to make her stronger and more ‘Sabrina’.
Without him she will be a failure again.
Louis could just hear her sobs and every time she sniffled, her tears stabbed his heart thousand times.
Getting no response from her, he started to feel anxious. He started losing his hopes..
He almost thought he failed in persuading her.. and, he was almost thinking of a way to beg more, but Brina at last spoke, making him almost hold his breath in anxiety.
“I.. I am not blaming you, Louis. Surprisingly I do un-derstand you.”
“I don’t know why, but I am not angry at you but at our luck… at our fate”
“Your presence back at Aletros is totally uncalled for. I know how much it took you to hide your grief and act normal. Still, you tried your best level to bring everything back to normal in Aletros. I am proud of you for being a good Prince.”
“And, I’m sure I can’t live without you either. But I am afraid.” Brina sobbed.
“Honey, I will be there with you, always. I will not let anything happen to you till I take my last breath. I am not asking you for what you are afraid of, and I will not let that fear even touch you…. no matter what it is or how big it is. But….please give me a chance?” Louis asked.
“There is no other chance to give after this. If I don’t be cautious enough and even if you fail to hide my identity, the next thing that awaits me and Will is the direct clash with our enemies.” Brina said, sobbing.
Louis felt his heart stop.
Is.. is.. she indirectly te.. telling me that she ca.. can’t come?
After hearing those words, how can he even ask her again? She totally cornered him, his words got stuck in his throat and he un-derstood the intensity of her words.
“Louis, are you sure you can protect my identity well? More than me, I am worried more about Will.” Brina asked Louis.
“Yes.. yes.. I promise Brina.. with all my heart.” Louis immediately said, happy tears rolling down on his cheeks.
Does.. does that mean she agreed??
“Is.. is it means, yes?” Louis asked, his voice full of joy.
Brina chuckled a bit. “It is. I am left with no choice because you made me fall for you so de-ep that I couldn’t even think of my life without you.”
“Neither can I, baby. I fell for you more than anyone could imagine. I have ba-rely been human these past four days..” Louis said.
“Likewise. I think it’s my time to risk this.” Brina said, sighing.
“For love we have to risk somethings, baby. But, I am not going to let you do so. I will not let anything or anyone harm you Brina. I give you my word.” Louis told.
“Louis, you don’t have to stress out this much as well. I can take care of myself most of the time.. all you have to do is just stay in my sight. Believe me, trust in me no matter what happens. That alone will give me more courage.” Brina said.
As she decided to go there and take the risk, she must change her mindset too. Being overcautious and keeping her innocent facade won’t help her.. especially if she is going to compete against those girls.
“My baby is back.” Louis chuckled. Relieved slightly.
At least she is not coming here by for-ce.
“I can’t let you get snatched away, right?” Brina asked, joking.
It’s still a wonder for her how Louis can make miracles to her heart with just a simple talking.
Just with this little conversation, he actually managed to brighten up her mood.
How good it will be if they can stay together forever..
“Of course! I am yours to begin with. No one can snatch me away from you.. except for yourself, baby.” Louis said, smiling.
Even he felt much better after listening to Brina’s usual voice.. sweet and playful.
“I love you, Brina.” Louis said, not being able to control his joy anymore.
“I love you too, Louis.” Brina chuckled, wiping away her tears.
She is now so sure that she made the right choice by deciding to go.
Only one thing she is now worried about is Will.
And, she knows exactly the right person who could keep Will safe in her absence. Even if something goes wrong in Aletros, with that person taking care of Will, she is confident that her nephew will be safe.
Though she hates to ask the favor, she is not really left with any choice.
That person is none other than Remus.
Her ex-old friend with whom she isn’t talking from years.
He is as close as Harry and Rhianna to her but due to some things, Brina don’t talk with him anymore.
However, he often tried to contact her and Brina is also aware that Remus talks with Rhianna and Harry.
Meanwhile, Charlotte is almost on the verge of tears. She heard every single word the couple spoke and she was glad that Louis and Brina patched up.
And, on first thought, they hadn’t even broken up to get patched up. They are inseparable but some hurdles were keeping them apart.
“Let’s go in. Let’s try to go back as soon as possible, Char. We must prepare Brina for the ball.. I heard every contestant has come except for Brina” Daniel said.
Charlotte nodded her head and they immediately went inside. And, everyone followed them inside.
…
“I nee-d to go back to the city first. After I visit my nephew, we can go to the Kingdom of Aletros.” Brina said, when Charlotte and Daniel came inside along with Harry.
Charlotte nodded her head, un-derstandingly. She is also going to stay away for almost two months and this might have been the longest time she is going away. For someone like Brina who visits her nephew at least once a week, this is going to be a lot difficult.
After staying in hospital for a half day more, doctors have let Brina discharge. Though she is weak, she insisted on going and all they could warn her is to eat nutritious food.
