EPISODE 11
When Brina was about to walk to the other side of the car and Louis was about to get into the driver’s seat, they heard someone coming towards their direction.
And, Brina was so sure that it was Tanya.
She would be coming to ask her for her boyfriend’s name! Or, she would have come to make sure her best friend is not lying about her boyfriend.
But, the point here is Brina doesn’t have one! She can’t ask Louis to interfere in her matters to this extent. He has helped her enough and she didn’t want to rely anymore on him.
Not knowing what to do, she couldn’t help but bite her lower li-p.
Louis, who was watching her every movement, felt his eyes darken. When Brina bit her lower li-p, it turned him on for some reason.
He felt a sudden urge to ki-ss her — ravish her li-ps and su-ck them with all his might.
He felt that he should be the one to bite her li-ps, not Brina herself. With all those crazy thoughts running in his mind, engulfing him in hot imagination, he lost his control and he abruptly pulled her closer to him and hu-gged her.
It is because, in his angle, he wouldn’t be able to see her face anymore, thus, it might cool down his pervy imagination.
He already ki-ssed her once without her conse-nt and he didn’t want to take advantage of her anymore… at least not till he could make sure his advances wouldn’t freak her out.
Meanwhile, Brina who was distracted with Tanya’s arrival couldn’t think straight.
But when she felt his warm bo-dy engulfing her in hot, ti-ght, Brina felt overwhelmed and her heart started turning heavy.
However, she couldn’t help her de-sire either!
Smiling against his che-st, Brina closed her eyes in contentment.
She isn’t sure why she felt his hu-g so intense and heartwarming… her br@in has stopped working properly.
All she could think is how secured and peaceful she felt in his arms. She stopped feeling this way after her father and brother died.
Louis is the only person after them who has made her feel that she could rely on him and stop worrying about what her future holds.
Caught in this moment of bliss, Brina didn’t even notice Tanya who was exclaiming in shock. .
Infact, Brina didn’t notice anything that was happening around her.
Her every thought, every inch of her bo-dy is only filled with warmth Louis is providing her.
She felt as if she was swallowed by heaven, she never experienced in years.Not knowing how or when, their li-ps met…
A sweet and short ki-ss followed later….
And, Brina didn’t even have an idea when their tangled li-ps had pa-rted. Now, they are standing close to each other with their foreheads touching, while they have their eyes closed.
Louis was the first person to recover. When he opened his eyes, the first thing he witnessed was Brina’s smile.
She looked so serene and blissful that it made his heart skip a beat. She looked so beautiful when she had that genuine smile on her face.
And the thought that, that smile has appeared because of him, made him the happiest person alive on earth.
He didn’t want to pa-rt with her, but, reluctantly he moved a little further and talked with his husky tone. “I guess, you are saved for today, Ms. Parker.”
“Your friend ran away after seeing us ki-ss. Quick instincts, I must say.” He chuckled, acting as if he did this just to save her from Tanya.
He has also wanted to call her sweetie, darling, baby…
He wants to tell her how pure and genuine his ki-ss is, but he could only lie for now.
He is aware that this isn’t the right time for that. They nee-d to take this slow so he will not freak her out.
Meanwhile, Brina whose heart is now in a crazy roller coaster ride opened her eyes. At last, coming back to the mortal realm.
It is only when she realized what has happened.
They ki-ssed!
But he did it to save her. She couldn’t blame him for that… that too when she enjoyed the ki-ss.
blus-hing like a ripe, she looked at him and smiled.
“Thanks for saving me today. I owe you,” she said, her voice coming back to a normal state.
She, being someone who observes the persons a lot, could figure out that he enjoyed the ki-ss… in fact, it is evident from his eyes that he wanted more.
His eyes have been constantly drifting to her li-ps and lingering there before he could avert them to control himself.
Their attra-ction is mutual.
“Hmm… We will see what we can do with this ‘I owe you’ thing. But, let’s get out of here, shall we?” Louis asked, coughing a bit. This silence is making his kund go more pervy.
The fas-ter they change the topic, the safer it will be for Brina.
“Yeah… Yeah, sure,” Brina swiftly agreed. She is on the same page as him.
They smiled at each other before they got into the car. This moment is something they couldn’t forget. It almost felt like they were really a couple wanting no more but to spend time with each other.
Even that thought is blissful.
….
“Thank you,” Brina said again as Louis ignited the car. If it isn’t for him, she would surely be in an awkward situation with Tanya.
“I just helped you a little bit, Ms. Parker. Please, don’t thank me again.”
Brina pouted all in sudden and looked at him.
She abruptly pulled him closer using his ne-cktie, shocking Louis.
“You just ki-ssed me. Not once but twice and given with what happened, we are at least eligible to call ourselves friends. So, shall we cut all those formalities ‘Miss Parker’ and everything of that sort?” she asked, totally demanding.
Louis smiled and his eyes traveled all over her face. “You are a sly, little Na-ughty vixen, Brina,” he told and suddenly Brina let go of his tie.
Realizing what she did, she blus-hed ha-rd. Cursing herself for the impulse action she did now, Brina averted her eyes, suddenly interested in the deserted parking lot.
She is so, so confused why her thoughts are running all erratic. She didn’t un-derstand why her heart was taking control of her mind, shadowing her self control and consciousness.
Louis who just saw her cute face getting flustered and red, couldn’t help but laugh out.
‘This woman is full of surprises.’ He thought.
She was never simple and normal as others think of her.
There is something much more in her which he could only see.
For which he might fall in love with her…. perhaps, he already fell in love with her.
“Didn’t Ms. Parker have said that she owes me? Can we discuss what to do with it?” he asked in a teasing tone.
He wanted to continue staring at her blus-hing face, however, he couldn’t help but get afraid that he would lose his self control and freak her out. So, he swiftly changed the topic again..
Brina pouted and looked at him. “Friends don’t owe each other I guess, Mr. Cruz?” she asked, rebuking him with the same teasing tone.
“Of course, Ms. Parker. But the owe is made before we became friends, you owed it to me before confessing our friendship by p-ulling me with my tie like a little cute vixen.” Louis tea-sed back, win-king at her.
Brina’s heart fluttered seeing him fli-rt with her. She knew that their close-ness is a little dee-per than ‘friendship’ and so does he.
But their feelings are still to be sorted out yet. So, they couldn’t confess it aloud that it is not friendship they have between them.
Brina is not able to put her fin-geron how close their relationship exactly is and although Louis is somehow sure, he wants to give her some time. Not to put it rashly and suffocate her like how Chris did.
Rolling her eyes, she asked, “So, what shall Mr. Cruz want me to do with this ‘I owe you’ thing?”
“Take me on a date, Ms. Parker.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me right, Ms. Parker. Take me to dinner… Our first date as ‘friends'” he told, pressing more on the word ‘friends’.
Brina of course se-nsed what he is implying by his words.
She actually owes him not only once but twice.
Treating him with dinner at a good restaurant will not do any harm!
“Sure, Mr. Cruz. Where to?”

“Sure, Mr. Cruz. Where to?” Brina asked, smiling a little devilishly.
She actually enjoyed fli-rting with him. In his prese-nce, she felt the se-nse of familiarity which compelled her to be herself….
“Your choice, Ms. Parker. I am a picky eater; you might not be able to fulfill my wish.” Louis pla-yed along.
“Oh, really? I am ready to pay regardless of the cost. Come on, be a gentleman, and stop eating my br@in.” Brina asked, enjoying the banter.
It is quite fun.
“Sorry, Ms. Parker, I am a pure vegetarian and I don’t eat br@ins.” He joked but Brina didn’t laugh.
“Lame joke, Huh?” He asked, running his hand over his hair, a little cute and adorable.
Brina laughed and nodded her head.
“You must tell me where you want to go to eat,” she said and then looked at him.
He is in the driver’s seat right!
So, technically it is he who should take her.
“It is you who are driving anyway. So, why don’t you just drive to the place where you want to eat?”
“That would be good,” Louis agreed and started driving.
…..
Chris was sitting in the monitoring room, glaring at the screen that showed the front view of Louis’s car.
That face felt familiar but he couldn’t come to the conclusion who that person could be.
As of now, it didn’t matter much because his prime attention is on what he just witnessed now.
Brina was laughing, ki-ssing, and joking with that man.
Though he couldn’t hear a thing, it is obvious that she is enjoying that so-called boyfriend of hers.
Although the image is blurry, with his monitor, he could zoom into the car and manage to see what they were doing…
And, what he witnessed now, made him even more agitated. To be precise, he is walking on barrels on vinegar now.
Brina was even fli-rting with that man. She just pulled his ne-cktie closer to her and whispered something to him.
That was so inti-mate that his eyes darkened with anger.
How can he let a mere employee win!
How can he let a man with no background and power take away his girl?
Never. Not even in his dreams.
“Tell Ben that I am going out on something personal. Tell him that I can’t come to his place to drink.” Chris informed his @$$istant and stood up.
He swaggered arrogantly across the room, took his Audi limited version keys, and stormed out.
Soon, he reached the parking lot and it was fortunately not too late for him to follow Louis’s car.
Meanwhile, Louis whose eyes are like a hawk, obviously noticed Chris following him.
Their car is just a few metres away… and Chris is following them meticulously.
Louis smi-rked as a wonderful idea struck his mind.
“Brina, I wanted to do a quick grocery shopping. You up?” he casually asked.
As Brina badly nee-ded to do the grocery shopping, she nodded her head. As Tanya shifted, there was no one to fill their refrigerator with ice-cream and chocolates.
“Sure. But only if you drop me off at my apa-rtment. I can’t carry all the stuff.”
“Take a taxi.” Louis grinned.
“I prefer a free ride,” Brina answered, making him laugh.
Soon, they reached the parking lot of the grocery sto-re and parked the car.
Meanwhile, Louis, abruptly, extended his hand close to her face taking Brina off guard, but instead of touching her, he tou-ched the headrest and wiped it with his hand.
Brina didn’t un-derstand his abrupt action. More or less, she didn’t care much about it.
This guy here is weird and sometimes too cute.
Brina in fact loves it.
However, on the other side, when Chris saw it from behind, it felt as if Louis ca-ressed Brina’s cheek and she leaned into his palm.
That was enough for Chris to burst out with anger.
‘Hah… I am far better than him. He might be handsome and s-xy… but I am wealthy and powerful. How can Brina accept him but not me?’ Chris comforted himself and as he got out of his car and followed them.
He could see them talking and laughing as they walked inside. Although they were not holding hands, Louis was looking at Brina with full of love and affection.
Even Brina is acting very differently. She is not in her polite and formal attitude like how she is, when she is with the other people.
She seems comfortable and very far from being formal with Louis.
‘Why Brina, why not me? I will show you that I am better than him.’ Chris thought.
“Your favorite wine, Brina. You wanna drink again.” Louis joked as he pointed to the bottle of the same type which he gave to her on the cruise ship a few nights back.
“Yeah… yeah. So that you can ki-ss me again, Huh?” Brina asked as she took some mild wine.
“Not if you don’t want to.” Louis winked, making her laugh.
With their little banter, they completed their shopping. They really looked like a sweet and lovely couple who were shopping together.
Shopping was fun…. But, Louis has ba-rely been to any grocery shopping before. The last time he went was when he was for-ced by his best friend Layla to bring some diapers for her daughter.
Otherwise, everything was taken care of by his @$$istants and house staff. Even when he was in the States, he ba-rely did all this simple work.
He never thought shopping with Brina could be this fun.
‘I wouldn’t regret having this simple life with the woman I love. If this is the thing she wants, I am ready to give this to her.’ Louis thought as they got back into the car and drove.
….
Meanwhile, Chris is fuming in rage.
Seeing all this dog food and sweet side of Brina, he couldn’t help but be jealous of Louis. What made him more agitated is that he couldn’t win over a lowly employee for a girl he loved!
He couldn’t help but call his @$$istant and bark some orders at him. He nee-ds to vent out his anger on someone right??
“I want to know everything about a person named Louis Cruz. I am se-nding you a photo as well and I nee-d the information on my table by tomorrow morning.” Chris ordered.
“And, look into Brina’s employment contract and find loopholes to bring her back to the company.” saying so he continued following them only to get astonished.
They are driving towards Brina’s home!
So, are they living together?
Or, were they having a night together…
Meanwhile, even Brina is surprised that Louis stopped right in front of her house.
Why did he stop here? Aren’t they supposed to go for dinner to some restaurant?
Is he asking her to cook him dinner in her home?? Aren’t they moving too fast??
“Louis?” Brina called, giving him a questioning look.
“Didn’t you ask me to drop you home with grocery bags? I followed your wish, Ms. Parker….you owe me again” Louis told, chuckling.
“Yeah I did. But, what about dinner? You asked me for a treat right?” Brina asked, slightly confused.
“I did. But not now. Maybe later” he answered.
“Anyway, we are going to work un-der the same roof and if I am not wrong, on the same project as well. We will have plenty of lunches and treats together” he said, win-king.
“Moreover, tomorrow is your first day in office, Brina. If we go for dinner it might become late by the time you return back. This might affect your work and also slee-ping schedule. We will think of a day when we can spend more time without any worries to care about” he smiled.
Brina’s heart of course melted. Not everyone will consider these tiny, trivial things.
Louis is un-derstanding and very considerate.
“Thank you. Thanks for your help again, Louis” Brina said, alighting the car.
“Hey! Won’t you call me upstairs, at least for coffee? I helped you a lot and I am exhausted. I nee-d caffeine!” he asked, pla-yfully.
“Sure. But don’t blame me if I don’t keep good coffee. I am not good at cooking” Brina pla-yfully said.
Louis chuckled and alighted the car. They were smiling as he helped her with bags before he followed her to the elevator.
From outside, it looked like they were a normal couple who went shopping and then went back to their little nest.
It looked so natural as if they have been doing this for ages.
Chris gritted his teeth.
He has never been to Brina place.
She never invited anyone and didn’t let Tanya invite others.
She is so secretive!!
But here she is, allowing a man into her house at this time!
Although Chris wanted to follow them more, unfortunately he couldn’t follow her to her home because she will get to know about it and might hate him more.
“fu-ck man!” Chris gritted as he clenched his fists before hitting the window of his car, to vent his anger out.
….
Meanwhile…
As Brina led him to her house, a sudden realization hit her.
How does he know where she is living??
And, how on earth did he phoned her at the right time while she was in a difficult situation with Tanya??
She almost forgot about this!
“Hey, Louis, how did you know where I live, as far as I remember I didn’t tell you about this anytime” she asked.
Louis instantly bit his tongue as he wrecked his mind to come up with a suitable explanation.
Thinking for a few seconds, he looked at her. “Silly, you wrote down your address in application form when you came to interview. Forgot??” he asked in a teasing voice.
Brina narrowed her eyes for being tea-sed. “Yeah, but how did you get your hands on them?? It’s supposed to be with management…not with project manager” she asked.
“Hey, I do have friends!! I always read my team members data to un-derstand them better.” He answered.
“But, it’s not been long since we got recruited and you studied the data of everyone?? And, how come you remember such a trivial matter like the address of an employee” Brina asked back.
“Until unless, you took special interest in me and remembered each and everything about me,” she asked, suddenly turning around to look into his eyes.
They were standing so close that Louis felt like he was in trance as he looked into her de-ep eyes. Involuntarily her held his breath and the time around him froze.
“Louis??” Brina called him again.
However, Louis didn’t respond but his hands did!! He slowly lifted his right hand and tou-ched her hair, which was resting on the left side of her face.
Brina was so shocked that her whole bo-dy froze. His eyes…..those intense feelings emanating from them, it held her like captive. She couldn’t stop looking into those eyes.
They were having a moment…a moment that could initiate the love in them.
However, the elevator reached her floor and the door opened with a faint sound.
But that was enough to bring Brina and Louis from their trance.
Brina averted her eyes and Louis retracted his hand.
That was an awkward situation yet, there is an esse-nce of love lingering in the air around them.
It was an awkward yet sweet and genuine moment they had.
As they reached her house, Brina quietly opened the door and she was about to enter the house when he held her hand, making her turn around.
“You are special, Brina….special to me. I don’t know why or how I feel that way. But yes, I took your data from Charlotte and memorized them. It is how I remember your address” Louis answered with a faint smile on his li-ps.
Brina is taken off guard as she hears his cheesy words. Her heart started beating erratic and her eyes felt hot with tears that were threatening to escape her eyes.
She quickly averted her eyes and discreetly wiped away the tear.
How long has it been since she felt this special?? It made her remember her parents and brother.
Meanwhile, Louis obviously noticed the sudden change in her behaviour.
“Let’s go inside. I am famished” he quickly said, diverting the topic.
Brina pursed her li-ps and nodded her head, giving him a smile.
Louis is not aware of what happened to her in her past nor why she has these sudden mood swings. But, he at least realized that she had a bad past which she wouldn’t like to remember.
….
Soon, they entered her simple 2BHK house, Louis looked around curiously.
Unlike other girls who love fairy and light colors, Brina’s house is decorated with dark colors.
Mostly gloomy colors.
“Your house is….” He didn’t know what to tell.
“Gloomy, dark, sad” Brina smiled , sadness evident in her eyes.
“Tanya tried so ha-rd to change but didn’t succeed. I love dark colours” she casually answered
“And, uhmm..Louis, please make yourself comfortable. I will freshen up and make coffee for both of us” Brina said and quickly escaped to her room.
She is so cute…
Louis chuckled and stood up as he walked to the hu-ge floor to ceiling window.
He took out his mobile and called his @$$istant.
“Did Chris leave?” Louis asked.
“Yes sir. He followed you and madam to the apa-rtment but he left long back.” @$$istant answered.
“And, Chris might check on my background. Cover all the tracks that might connect me to my real name.”
