But, Camilla was not like Sabrina and they also have the males in the Royal family, capable of becoming the next successor.
“Think so,” Camilla said.
They are not aware that Diego is in love with Eliina, the princess of Kingdom Aletros.
However, his father is aware. He found out about it when his son secretly made a trip to Kingdom Aletros to visit a carnival there.
It is amusing that Eliina doesn’t know who Diego is and Diego doesn’t know who Eliina is.
Both of them pretended like they are normal people, but rich and wealthy.
….
“My training is done for today. I would be going back guys” Diego said as he sat down to gulp water down.
He was cautious not to implicate his ‘ordinary’ girlfriend into all this mess. Everything is so messy and there are many things happening here which he doesn’t know.
It is too dangerous to call his girlfriend or chat with her. But, he was missing her very much as well.
After his first uncle, aunt (Brina’s parents) and his favorite cousins died, he no longer felt this palace as his home.
When they were there, it used to be so joyous and exciting. However, as soon as they died, everything started falling down.
His big brother, Prince Griffin insisted that he doesn’t want to become the successor. He married his girlfriend and she is his center of the world now.
He drastically changed.
Although he loved his siblings and cared for him like always, something was amiss. He started being distant to their father and his wife is his world now.
Meanwhile, his sister got engaged to that Bastard Nickolas and he still doesn’t un-derstand why she agreed to that.
Nickolas was a killer. Killer of their cousins.
When Diego confronted her, she just waved it off, saying that she loves him.
Later, she moved into his mansion and they mostly went on trips.
His other relatives from noble families and branch families fear his father, so they rarely come to the palace.
The palace became deserted, if not for the guards, bodyguards and maids who are the only people other than them.
Diego felt alone.
His mother is dead. His father is not as good as he thought. For him nothing matters more than his family and power.
So, Diego is afraid of what his father might do when he confesses his love to a ‘normal’ girl from the enemy’s Kingdom.
He wished his father would get defeated and become powerless.
But, he dont want to become the crown prince as well. He hoped his brother Griffin would agree to take over the crown.
All he wants now is to finish his studies and go abroad. With the money he has, he could easily start his own company from scratch and after it stabilises, he wants to marry his girlfriend and live happily with no tensions.
Till then, he wants to hide his relationship.

He returned back to his quarters and when he switched on his phone, the first thing he saw his Eliina’s message.. More like a blackmail.
‘I expected this. She has every right to get mad on me. Today is our anniversary and I should be celebrating this with her. I should be surprising her, taking her for a date. But here I am, not even texting her’ he thought.
And, he couldn’t help but sigh.
His girlfriend is so stubborn just like his cousin sister, Sab. And, just like her, his girlfriend cares a lot about the people she loves.
And, he knows that she will do what she says.
‘Baby, I am busy. I might not be able to meet you’ he texted her back. He actually wanted to not respond but she should have hacked his phone. That message is not at all going away.
It kept on popping up.
‘Fine, if you are that busy, you better forget about me as well. You are so busy that you couldn’t even text me or call me. What if after some years, you forget that you had a fiancée or wife or girlfriend, whatever I am to you then?’
‘I will be heartbroken and I might not come out of it. It’s better to cut our ties here and prevent that pain.

And, when he read the message, he could only ma-ssage his forehead, in helplessness.
He didn’t want to let go of her but at the same time, he couldn’t put her in danger.
He could confess now that he is not the foreign student but the crown prince of the Kingdom Wentris, which was not on good terms with the Kingdom in which she lives.
But he knows very well that it would do more bad. She would completely stop talking to him.
He can’t bear that.
‘Baby, I don’t mean that. I am busy but remember you. I remember that today is our anniversary’ he texted back.
‘Oh! You remember then. So, even though you remember that today is our anniversary, you didn’t even text me. Does that mean I am that inferior to you?
I don’t like people who look down on me. I am, at last, seeing your true colors’ she texted him.
Diego would only slap his forehead.
She loves twisting the words.
‘Baby, I am not looking down at you. I admire you.
un-derstand the situation. I don’t want to risk your life. I am in a dangerous situation’ he texted back.
‘First, don’t call me baby. We are about to break up.
Second, if you admire me, you must not un-derestimate me!
Thirdly, even if you are in a dangerous situation, you should be able to protect your girlfriend, ryt? Or else, how could you be a man?
Are you afraid? Are you a coward?’ she provoked him.
‘My family is facing problems too. Still, my big bro took my sister in law to her fashion show yesterday, to the country Z. My second bro took his pregnant wife for a vacation to the States. My parents had a holiday as well.
I am not asking you to do big things like these. Let’s just meet, have lunch together. If you are not comfortable with it, at least, lhave a toast, praying for your good future. It’s just a matter of minutes. This is our first anniversary and it has to be memorable, at least for me it’s important.
I never asked you anything! This is the first time and would also be the last time, if you don’t meet me today.’ she texted him.
I know that you are in country S. It’s approx two hours journey from my place. I will take a flight from here and we could meet in your friend’s restaurant there. It’s safe’ she told him.
Diego could only sigh.
He couldn’t tell her that his family is different and her’s is different. She would say that it is looking down on her.
He can’t tell her that he is not in country S. When she texted their common friend today, that friend lied to her that he is country S.
And, she never asked him anything. This is the first time and he can’t sit here like a coward, afraid of his dad.
His dad doesn’t know anything and he is ridden to bed now. So, he could sneak out.
Come back in three hours.
‘Fine. Fine. Let’s meet there in three hours. He caved in.
Eliina grinned as soon as their text messages came to an end.
At last, she won and like everyone, she is going to celebrate her first anniversary with her boyfriend!!
She knows she went overboard but she didn’t regret it.
This is her first love and first anniversary. In no way she would sit in her room fearing what might happen if she went out and enjoyed herself.
“Time to doll up, Elle. You should shock Diego with your charms and looks” she spoke to herself, grinning like a lovesick lover.
Jumping off the bed, she ran to her extra big walk in closet to rummage throu-ghher overly numbered branded clothes.
After God knows how many minutes pa-ssed by, she picked out a beautiful off shoulder, black jumpsuit.
She took this jumpsuit trend from her sister in law, Brina who likes these cla-ssy, casual and modern jumpsuits.
After that she selected the accessories, shoes and packed them in her bag.
Later, she dressed up in a boy disguise and fished out her secret, fake IDs she made without her family’s consent.
Using the secret pa-ssages cautiously so that she would not be sp-otted out, she exited the palace.
As of her parents and others, it is very common for her to lock herself up in her room for hours and hours. So, they would not notice her absence.
And, within the next thirty minutes, she is in the airport, already sitting in the economy cla-ss of the next flight to country S.
And, in no time, she reached country S and checked in herself in one of the normal hotels before dolling up for a date.
As for Diego, his circu-mstances are a little different.
After his father Gabriel found out that his son is dating the princess of Kingdom Aletros, he appointed many of his best guards to keep track of his son.
So, unlike Eliina who got herself out of her palace unnoticed, Diego failed to do so.
Although he tried his best and was very, very cautious he is no way near to those people who are pro’s in keeping tabs on targets.
He almost used the same methods like his girlfriend Eliina whom he knows as Luna, her academy name, but he was unaware that his father’s people are aware of his little sneaky act.
Diego hurriedly reached his friend’s restaurant and got ready for his date. As he already asked his friend to book the whole hotel for them and made his level best to decorate it for their first anniversary, all he has left to do is pick up his girlfriend from the hotel.
If the situations aren’t these complicated, he would have made this anniversary the best for his Luna (Eliina), but for now, he has to keep this low key.
So, instead of Limousine he used a low key Audi car.

“Ahh…I missed you baby” Eliina squealed as soon as she saw Diego outside of the hotel.
She immediately jumped into his arms, instantly cooling Diego.
He hug-ged her, supporting her in his arms.
“I missed you too, Luna baby” he said, his voice soft and warm.
“And, happy one year anniversary to my best girl” he said, kis-sing her forehead.
“Scram these manners” she said, crashing her li-ps to his, disregarding the people around them.
It is a busy hotel so almost as soon as she did it, many youngsters squealed as some took the pictures almost instantly.
For a second, Diego was taken back.
But, yeah! Scram the manners!!
He missed her so much.
Holding her nape, he reciprocated his kis-s and instantly, cheers increa-sed by two folds.
“Happy anniversary to us” she giggled as she continued to hug his ne-ck.
“We attra-cted a lot of attention, girlfriend” Deigo said, as he hug-ged her while looking around.
“We can delete the photos from their devices. It’s a matter of minutes if we work together” Eliina said, realising that she acted recklessly.
“Let’s do it in the car,” Deigo said, feeling the same regret.
In the car, he asked the help from his friends and during the journey, they deleted all the pictures, CCTV footage of them.
….
Meanwhile…
In Kingdom Wentris,
Deigos’ father, Gabriel chuckled.
As his people were live streaming to him, he saw what happened in the hotel’s lobby.
“Ahh…my kids are really a great help to me” he laughed.
His daughter Camilla got Nickolas on her side, giving her the best support and right hand man to do all his chores.
It happened when he needed the help.
Now, his younger son got him a bait, the princess of another powerful Kingdom, Kingdom Aletros.
“Let the young couple have their date.” he ordered as he amusingly waited for them to go inside the restaurant which is now surrounded by his people.
He loves his son. It will hurt him if he kidnaps his girlfriend in the middle of Date.
…
“Wow!! You prepared all this in such a short notice?” Eliina asked, as she excitedly looked around.
“I tried my best, baby. Sorry for all the-” he was about to apologise but Eliina stopped him.
“No need to apologise, Diego. I went overboard with all those blackmails but I didn’t want to miss this.” She said, looking into his eyes as they shared a kis-s.
“And, babe, I have many things to confess to you. It’s been almost a year we started dating and I am sure, you are the one with whom I wanted to share the rest of my life with” he said, taking her hand, resting their interlocked fingers on the table.
“I want you to listen to me patiently?” he asked, his eyes pleading to her.
He is scared to confess but, he is aware that this is high time to come clean. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to un-derstand his situation and insist on meeting him like this.
It will risk her life.
Eliina nodded her head and she bit her li-p.
“Actually, me too. Although my secret isn’t big, it still impacts our relationship a little” she said.
According to her, Diego is from country S itself. So, it won’t matter much if she is a princess.
“Let’s talk about all these after our date,” he said, smiling at her.
But he could feel his forehead getting drenched with sweat.
