EPISODE 12
“Really, Sabrina??” the Governess chuckled.
“An employee? In your own company?” she laughed.
“Normal degree from some random college? Seriously?” she laughed again before closing the docu-ment and concentrating her whole attention on Brina.
“Madam Governess, you might have mistook me with someone. If you excuse… I really nee-d to go” Brina said, standing up.
She was about to reach the door when a voice stopped her.
It was no more authoritative nor it was mocking. In turn, it was emotional and affectionate.
“You might be fooling others, Sabrina. But not me! Do you really think you could fool someone who knows you from the minute you are born?”
“Do you really think your own Godmother couldn’t recognize you..huh??” The Governess said, standing up.
Brina’s shoulders could be clearly seen, shivering. It is too obvious she is on the verge of crying.
She knew Morgana would recognize her.
That was the reason Brina was nervous to come here. She didn’t wanted to face her loved ones!!
But she knew this would happen. Right from the day she found out that the remaining events would be taking place in Alpha Academy, she knew this would happen.
Morgana wouldn’t have actually given permission to continue this event here. It is very rare for such things to happen in the Academy.
However, as a Godmother of Brina, she couldn’t control her urge to see her daughter. It’s been years since she saw her beautiful Godchild.
“Dear, you are really stubborn!” The Governess said, as she placed her hand on Brina’s shoulder and turned her around.
“And you, heartless!” Brina retaliated.
“So, you knew all along that I am alive! Yet..yet..” Brina stopped as she angrily looked at the woman in front of her. A heated tear rolling down her cheeks.
She smacked away Morgana’s hand from her shoulder in anger.
“Really?! Am I really that heartless, Sab? I was the one who warned you about that sabotage, that day! I risked my life to save you and I am still risking my life to hide you from that danger, dammit.” the Governess flared up too.
However, her eyes were filled with love and concern
“Seems like your IQ dropped a lot after that fateful day. Do you really think you didn’t make any mistakes while hiding for all these years? You have indeed made some mistakes and I have always been that person who has been erasing them for you.”
“It has been ha-rd on me too! Not meeting my dearest Godchild and her nephew, it really wrenched my heart. Whenever I used to find out that you were having a mental breakdown and you were feeling lonely, it used to kill me.”
“However, I promised your parents I would take care of you no matter what happens. So, I really had to take this ha-rd decision to stay away from you and protect you”
“Now tell me, my dear, are you still angry at me? Did I do any wrong by not showing up to give you a shoulder to cry? You had enough people who could support you morally but you didn’t have people to protect you physically! So, I and Remus had to take that responsibility” she explained to Brina who was pursuing her li-ps in guilt.
“I didn’t mean to get angry on you, mum. I knew it was you and Remus who were helping me secretly. However, when I just saw you here… I just couldn’t help but flare up. Though I am not angry at you for what you did, I am still angry about the other matter” Brina said.
Before that accident took the lives of Brina’s family, Brina and Morgana were not on talking terms.
They had a fight about something Morgana was hiding back then.
“I know” Morgana sighed.
“So, when are you going to confess to Natalie that you are her birth mother? She really nee-ds to know the truth!” Brina said.
“Moreover, she just married a Prince and the oldie there, is not up to any good. Mum, Natalie is so fragile and sen-sitive. I am afraid that she will get bullied.” she said
“They had to know that Natalie is not any random woman they could play with! They had to know that Natalie is a daughter of legendary Governess of this whole academy so that they would never dare to harm her”
Governess Morgana sighed when she heard Brina’s argument.
“I know that it’s about time, dear. But, I am worried what her father would do if he finds out that his daughter is alive! I don’t want to risk her life. For now, it’s for her own good to not reveal my relationship with her”
“One day, I will surely tell her, but, Sabrina, this is not that day! Before I could tell her, I had to make sure her father won’t be in a position to do any harm to her.”
“Moreover, Ethan is a good man. He really cares about her and I am sure he won’t let anyone from his family harm her. Even her in law’s are good and I am very thankful to God for that.”
“And I am even more glad that you and Natalie will be married into the same family” she said. Her voice jubilant when it came to the last sentence.
“But think about one thing, Sabrina. Ethan might save her from his grandmother and Olivia but I am not sure if he could save her from unknown danger, which is none other than her father. So, it’s better I don’t reveal my relationship to her” Morgana told her.
“I got it, mom. And, you already know about me and Louis!”
“As you know, I want a favor from you, mum” Brina said, smiling wide.
That smile was enough to melt Morgana.
“The devil is back and who am I to dare to not fulfill her favor! Shoot up, little devil” Morgana said, giving her signature eye look.
“Well, could you arrange a joint room for me and Prince Edward?” Brina asked, making Morgana dumbfounded.
Seriously??
Is that a wish??
“love sick…huh?” she asked for which Brina pouted and nodded her head.
“I can’t sleep without him,” she added.
“Young lady! I am still your godmother! So, you better not talk about your bed activities here” Morgana said, shaking her head.
However, there is a gentle smile on her li-ps. She is happy for Brina and she approves Louis.
“But, it’s true, mum! His warm body is my personal body warmer. Without hi-” Brina stopped when Morgana interjected.
“Okay..okay! You made yourself clear! So, no more details, okay? I will make sure you get a joint room” she told, rolling her eyes.
“Thanks mum. You are best!” Brina squealed and hu-gged heron happiness.
Morgana smiled too. She caressed Brina’s hair, affectionately.
“I am glad you found your man. And, dear, do you know that you both are destined. Do you know tha-” Morgana is about to say something but Brina stopped her.
“Yeah..yeah. I know that my first ki-ss is with him and his first ki-ss with me” Brina said. Her cheeks flushed.
“Yes!! So, when are you going to reveal to him that you are Beatrice?” Morgana asked.
Brina chuckled. “Not now. I am thinking of surprising him” she said.
“You are in de-ep love with him, Sab. I never saw you like this with Nickolas. Not even one percent love of what I see in your eyes” Morgana said.
Brina smiled. “What I had with Nickolas was not love, mum. I was just for-ced to think of it as love.”
“However, everything changed when I met Louis. Though I and Louis have spent very little time together, I fell de-eply in love with him….so, de-ep that I couldn’t even stay a day without him” Brina said.
Morgana smiled. “Your love makes me remember your parents dear. I am happy for you. But be careful okay? You just returned to a place from where you just escaped. Be cautious” she warned.
“I know mum. Anyways, I had been thinking about returning after Will recu-perates. I came prepared to face every consequence” Brina told her Godmother.
“You are strong, Brina. I believe in you but it will still be tough on you, dear! After all, Olivia is your potential competitor and her grandfather seems to be up to something” Morgana said.
“Mum, do you know what her grandfather is up to? Will it be dangerous to the Royal family?” Brina asked anxiously.
“Unfortunately, no! Although I have power in the academy, it is still limited when it comes to Kingdom’s and their internal affairs. However, I will try to help you dear. Don’t worry about it” Morgana said.
“Now, go and rest. I as-sume it found out who your best friend Athena is” Morgana chuckled.
“Yeah! I never thought it’s Katherine, mum. She changed so much that I couldn’t recognize her at all!” Brina said.
“Circu-mstances change the people, Sab. Just like how you turned from being Sabrina to Brina, Katherine changed too. However, I hope she still loves you the same way she does” Morgana said, pursing her li-ps.
“That, I had to find out, mum. If she really cares about me the same way she used to do, do you think she will be my ally and supports me?” Brina asked her Godmother.
Morgana smiled.
“I think she will! After all, you helped her a lot back then and really cared for her. However, she never got a chance to show her gratitude and she really owe you a big deal, daughter”
“And, this is the perfect time for her to pay back what she owes for you. So, trust me, dear. She will support you” Morgan said, kidding Brina’s forehead.
“Now, you better go. Your boyfriend might be getting worried why we are taking very long” she chuckled.
Brina laughed.
“Yep. I really had to go. Or else, he will surely get a heart attack” Brina joked.
“However, I am excited to see his expression when he will find out that I am Beatrice” Brina said, giggling.
“But, dear, why did he run away as soon as he ki-ssed? Didn’t you guys actually think of revealing your faces to each other that day?” Morgana asked.
As their faces had to be concealed by a mask, they never saw each other’s faces. Even when they ki-ssed, they actually had their eyes closed.
However, as soon as he ki-ssed, it seemed like he saw something and ran away.
“Why don’t you ask him why he ran away?” Morgana asked.
“Mum, now I un-derstand why you are still single after all these years” Brina teased.
And, Morgana pouted.
“Why? Did I tell anything wrong?” She asked.
“Of course I can’t ask, mum! How can I ask him why he ran away after having his first ki-ss?”
“Moreover I really don’t think it’s good for me to ask. What if..what if he regretted ki-ssing me and ran away? We were not supposed to ki-ss, remember? Me and him were on opposite teams back then. I am not ready to take negative answers.”
“So, I had to find out why he did that. If I couldn’t find why, then I would think about asking him” Brina said.
“Okay dear. Your choice.” Morgana said.
“And, you had to meet the Governor and the head of departments this evening. Everyone of you has to meet them, Sab”
“I suggest you confess to them that you are Beatrice. If they find out by themselves, they might not go easy on you for lying. However, as you are one of their favorite students, they won’t say no if you ask them to keep your identity a secret. Got it?” Morgana asked.
“Yes, mum. I will do that. Thanks for heads up” Brina said, giving her a hu-g.
After that, Brina left the room. And, as soon as she left, Louis was summoned inside.
