“Wow Bella I saw what I shouldn’t have seen” Ann said to her sister.
“What is that?” Bella asked curiously.
“I caught Max having se-x in the office when I went to remind him that he is supposed to take me out for lunch” she bubbled.
“When did you guys start going out for lunch?” Her sister asked.
“Here’s is the deal, he promised to let me try out some local dish this afternoon,so we agreed he’s gonna take me during lunch break but when i realized that he’s not yet out,I decided to go remind him, I swear I knocked only for me to open the door and found him having se-x with a bitc-h like that” she fumed while saying the last part..
“Woah you sounding jealous” Bella accused.
“How can I be jealous” she scoffed “I don’t even like him”.
“Like who?” A masculine voice asked.
“Mr Max what are you doing here?” She asked.
“Am here to fulfill my part of the bargain”he replied.
“Am taking you out for the lost lunch” .
“Ok can my sister tag along”.
“No” Bella said sharply “I want to meet dave”.
“Dave? Who in God’s name is Dave?” Ann asked .
“Ann don’t be difficult” Bella replied rolling her eyes “Dave is my friend”.
“When did you start having boyfriend that I don’t know” she glared.
“You ask too much question,can you just go with him already” she snapped.
“Sorry sir Bella can be annoying” she gro-aned.
“No, you are the annoying one”he grinned.
“Whatever” she replied with eye roll.

Some minutes after.
“Woah this is too much I don’t even know what to order” Ann exclaimed.
“Let me help you” Max offered “Give us two plates of pounded yam and Egusi soup with bush meat” he told the waiter.
“Wow” Ann exclaimed excitedly “this is all new to me”.
“Ann am so sorry you have to see that,am not the type of guy that have se-x in the office, Celia is just a seductress” Max said awkwardly.
“Why are you telling me sir, it’s non of my business” Ann shrugged.
“Ann listen to me am sorry you have to see that anyways how about your dreams?” he asked.
“It’s still the same thing but it’s not as frequent as the other ones, thanks for your concern” she replied.
“You are welcome” he stated.
” Permit me to ask this sir, is that lady your girlfriend?” She asked.
“What?” He exclaimed “God forbid, she is not my girlfriend, far from it she’s just after my Money and se-x”.
“Woah why are you getting defensive” she smiled.
“I can never date someone like her, she’s just one of my flings” he replied looking intently at her.
A waitress bought their meal to them.
“Well how am I suppose to eat this? ” She asked blankly.
“It is so simple” he replied “use your fingers to cut the pounded yam then you dip it inside the soup and you put it in your mouth like this” he demonstrated.
Ann did as she told and the soup spilled on her mouth and cloth.
Max bend across the table using tissue to wipe her mouth and the one on her cloth just on top of her b**St , during the process the duo held eye contact.
Although it was a reflex action but she couldn’t believe he was actually touching her bre-ast , she didn’t know what to do as she locked eyes with him before he finally regain his composture .
He started coughing hardly .
Ann quickly hand him water.
“Am sorry” he apologized looking at anywhere else but her.
“No problem, let continue eating”.
*Few hours later.*
“Woah I had the best time of my life today, I will surely tell mum to let us try out this local dish” she stated excitedly.
Max smiled at her, she seems so facinated with the whole thing, he was so happy he made her happy.
“What is the name again?” She asked
“Pounded yam and Egusi” he replied.
“Egu what?” She asked blankly, she’s not able to pronounce the name.
“Egusi” he corrected.
“Ok I’ll put that at the bott-om of my heart” she laughed.

“Mama good afternoon” Patricia greeted her mother inlaw.
“My children you don’t tell me you are coming, how about my child” she asked cheerfully.
“Mama children” Richa-rd corrected.
“Children?” Mama asked confused.
” Yes mama, we had another child Anabelle” Patricia replied.
“Well you are both correcting me, how would I know when you guys left for the past twenty years without looking back” she accused.
“Mama bikonu, we are sorry” they both apologized.
“We came to spend few days with you” Patricia informed.
“Heee” mama exclaimed happily ” but you didn’t bring the children along” she added.
They are both busy with their work but I promise you they will both come the next time we are coming here” Richa-rd promised.

*The following day*
“Mama we specifically came here to tell you about our second child Annabelle” Richa-rd informed his mother.
“What about her?” Mama asked.
“She had been having this strange dreams since eight years ago and it’s the same dream often and often infact it grew more worse since we came back to Nigeria” Patricia explained.
“What is the content of the dream” Mama asked.
“I think the child is in the better position to explain the dream” she replied.
“If not for my health,I would have followed you back, but when ever you are coming down here make sure you bring her” she says.
“Sure”

“Mum” Ann squeaked.
“What? Ann are you a baby” her mum exclaimed.
“Yes mum am a baby, the baby of the house” she replied.
”Baby of the house indeed, am pregnant” her mum stated.
“Huh?” Ann asked shocked with her eyes almost popping out of the socket.
“Ann chill,is pregnancy a disease” her mum laughed.
“No mum” she yelled ” you can’t be pregnant, you are joking an old lady like you pregnant! No”.
“I got you Baby, where’s your sister” her mum asked.
“She is out with her imaginary boyfriend”.
“Anne you are so engrossed with your mom that you didn’t know I was standing here” Richa-rd exclaimed.
“Dad” she screamed and jumped on him.
“Woah easy,am not twenty seven, you don’t jump on me like that,am getting old” he laughed.
“No dad you are strong, wait till I start having children, you will know that you are strong” she stated.
“Says the girl who doesn’t have a boyfriend” Patricia replied.
“Mum what did you bring for me?” She whinned.
“At least let me sit down first” Patricia exclaimed.
“Oh am sorry ma, sit down I will get you a gla-ss of juice, oh no you are old,I will get you a cu-p of water” she stated dramatically.
“Anna is just too much” Patricia stated.
“You can say that again” Richa-rd replied.
“So mum what did you bring for me” she asked.
” Nothing” she replied.
“Mum, you can’t go to what did you call that place and not bring any of the local stuff” she exclaimed.
“Wait Anna what are local stuff?” Patricia asked raising an eye brow.
“I knew it, I ate Egunsi last week with pounded yam it was so delicious” she laughed.
“Who thought you how to eat Egusi”? Patricia asked.
“Mum I went to a restaurant with my boss and he ordered for it” she explained.
“Your boss?”
“Yes”
“What is his name?”.
“Maxwell Anderson”.
“Oh I know him, his father is a chief in Anambra” Patricia stated “least I forget we are all going to Anambra next month”.
“Yeah” Ann jumped up and started dancing.
“Anna, you are twenty four when will you start acting like one”.
Mum am Happy,at least if you don’t prepare local dish for us then granny would,I will really love to see her”.
“Good for you, your granny is also anxious to meet you too”.
“Ok mummy, I think someone is by the door”.
“Who is there?” She calls, “oh Max good afternoon”.
“Can I come in?”he asked.
“Hum, yeah come in” she replied.
“Mum dad this is the famous Maxwell” she introduced.
“Good afternoon son how are you” Richa-rd greeted.
“Am fine sir” he replied.
“How are your parents?” Patricia asked.
“They are so good,thank you ma” he replied.
“Let us leave you guys to yourselves”.
“Mum we haven’t conclude our discussion” Ann whinned.
“Ok baby attend to your guest”.
“Ok ma” she responded
” Good afternoon max how are you doing”
“Am fine Ann, I was pa-ssing throu-ghthe estate,so I decided to stop by and greet you” he said.
“Oh that’s so sweet of you” she cooed.
“I sense that you are in a good mood” he stated.
“Yeah,am just feeling like the last born in the house” she replied happily.
“Why don’t you let me, take you around Lagos as promised, we can go to club” Max offered.
“Yeah” she exclaimed with excitement lacing in her voice ” you are now talking, gwed have missed clubbing, let me change my cloth”.
“Nope you are good like this” he smi-rked.
“Lols what type of girl wear this type of dress to a club, make yourself at home I will be right back” she laughed.

*At the club*
“Woah what type of drink do they sell here” she exclaimed excitedly.
“Vodka, Hennessy” Max replied
“Is there Brandy?” She asked.
“Bar man give us Brandy”.
“Max” a guy Ann couldn’t recognized called him.
“My guy how you dey now” Max asked shaking hands with the guy.
“I dey oo,I no expect say I go see you today naw, watin you con do” the guy asked.
“Crazy guy,I con fetch water” he replied.
” Is this your new chick,she fine o” Nelson said.
“Nelson she be my PA naw she no be my new chick, you hear”.
“Dey deceive yourself” Nelson said.
“Babe how are you naw” Nelson asked moving towards Ann.
“You said what?” Ann asked confused.
‘oh this babe hot gan’ he thought.
“Hello beautiful how are you doing?” He asked again.
“Oh am good,is that what you said before?” She smiled
“Yes, am Nelson, you are” .
“Annabella, Ann,” she replied.
“Wow that’s nice”
“Can we dance?” He offered.
“Dance? to what, have never listened to this type of music all my life” she exclaimed.
“Wait a minute, did you just arrived?” Nelson asked.
“Well I lived all my life abroad and I just arrived to Nigeria few months back” Ann replied taking another shot of her drink.
“Wow so you don’t know anywhere in Lagos” he asked.
“Yep Max offered to take me around Lagos and this is our first step” she replied.
“Well it’s nice can I get your contact, you know I can join you guys in the tour” he proposed.
“No problem”
“Wow this is my favorite song”Ann exclaimed “work work work work”.
She got down from her stand,she started dancing and tweaking,she was dancing in a way that it’s so so stupid, Max couldn’t help laughing.
“Woah Max are you sure this babe is not drunk?” Nelson asked laughing.
“Well she just finished one bottle of Brandy, uh uh maybe she’s not the type that loves taking alcohol” Max said
“Just go and take her away from there before she embarra-ss herself further” Nelson advised.
“Yeah”Ann yelled.
“What?” Max quickly covered her mouth ” shut up you are not in LA, gosh you’re drunk”.
“Shut up idiot am not drunk, yeah yeah” Ann snapped dancing vigorously.
Max had to drive her for-cefully out of the club, he put her into the car and drove to his house.
