Just as he said, he will stĀ©p at nothing until he finds an answer to what he wants.
While others sle-pt that night, Reyhon stayed awake.
He watched as Pamela sle-pt off, now she was sounding like a princess and her eye lashes rested well against each other.
” I’m going to find it out myself, ” he whispered in her ear, before placing a k!sson her cheek.
Leaving the room, Pamela woke up. Her heart beat could be heard and she could feel the pains as it hit ha-rd against her che-st.
She was so scared and wanted if possible she could run to Diana’s room to inform her of what Reyhon was about to do.
She wished she was a wolf, but unfortunately she wasn’t, and neither was Diana. So, they weren’t connected to each other.
She sneaked out of the room and luckily, the first person she saw was May.
” Excuse me, ” she said, stĀ©pping May on her track.
” I know you,” she pointed. ” You’re the lady who c@mĀ£ with alpha Reyhon, right? ”
” Yes. Yes, that’s me. ”
” How may I help you? You know, from the looks on your face, I’d guess you don’t look alright. Is there a problem? ”
” Yes, indeed there is. ”
” So, what is it? ”
” It’s Reyhon, I don’t know but I think he’s heading to Diana’s room. I don’t know what he’s up to, but I doubt it’s a good thing. ”
” Hold on a sec, you think he wants to kill her? ” She asked for the tenth time.
” Not only that, I think he wants to do something worst. Let’s just hope my instincts are wrong. ”
May’s eyes flew open as her br@in just interpreted Pamela’s words to her. Without waiting any second, she ran to Diana’s room.
On getting there, she saw Reyhon sneak into her room. And May hated what she was thinking.
” I suggest you have this reported the alpha. ” Pamela said.
May listened to her and she did as she was instructed. She ran with her hands holding her go-wn high.
She first ran to his office, but was told by a guard that he had returned to his room.
She hurriedly left to his room, offering three knocks on his door.
” Who’s that? ” She heard his voice from the inside.
” Master, it is I, May, Miss’s handmaid. ”
” Come in, ” he instructed her.
May pushed the door open, walking in. He was just taking off his shoes when she entered, and she could still feel her legs shaking.
What is she gonna tell him? How is she gonna say it?
But from the look on her face, one could tell how frightened she was.
” Is there something wrong? ” He asked.
And she wished he could just re-ad her mind and see it all for himself, but Derek wasn’t that kind of person.
He hates to invade the mind of people without their permission, especially when he nee-ded to hear the problem directly from thel-ips.
” Answer me, ” he was getting a little impatient by her delay.
” M.. master, ” a heavy air left her lungs as she spatted each words out of her mouth. ” Alpha Reyhon. ”
” What happened to him? ” He sounded less concerned.
” Alpha Reyhon… inside Diana’s room. ” She couldn’t even put it in words, but at least she had hope that he will be able to un-derstand what she is trying to say.
” Since when?! ” He stormed.
” I c@mĀ£ as soon as I saw him walk into her room. ”
Even before May could count the next second, Derek was out of sight.
She closed the door after her, running to Diana’s room.
Derek ban-ged in only to find Reyhon on Diana’s bĀ©dy. She was de-ep in sleep and she didn’t realize what was going on.
Reyhon stepped out of the be-d, ” One more step and I will kill her, ” he threatened.
” Let her go, ” he pleaded, ” and do whatever you want to me. ”
Reyhon laughed ha-rd , ” You never beg for mercy, but why seeking for it now? Oh, I must have forgotten so soon, she’s your mate. ”
” Just don’t hurt her, okay. Let her go. ”
” You know, I just realized two unique things about her. ” First, she has this purple spirit that makes those gorgeous eyes turn purple. And second, she’s a vir-gin. ” He laughed again.
It was as if Derek’s heart would explode like a bomb, and if it does, the whole world was gonna taste it’s effect.
Reyhon’s last statement pu-ll-ed him down, and for the second time in his life he felt fear.
” Don’t you dare tĀ©uƧh her.” He said in a clenched teeth, ” You don’t wanna regret what I’m gonna do to you. ”
But Reyhon filled the atmosphere with his ugly laughter. ” Do you think that scares me? ” He shooks his head, ” No, it’s just like a parable to me. You don’t realize that you just picked the biggest fish, why then do you del@yto mate her? Are you scared you might hurt her? ” He chuckled. ” Well, I have decided to do it myself then… Just right now. ”
The urge to strangle his nĀ£Ā¢k burnt in him, and he attem-pted to come closer but Reyhon pu-ll-ed Diana out of the be-d, raising her wrist to his mouth.
” I’ll have to mark her as mine. And mind you, if you think of stĀ©pping me, I’ll have no other choice but to do the worst. ” He threatened.
” Try me. ” The word c@mĀ£ out ha-rd .
” We’ll see about that. ” he sm-irked.
Derek dashed to him, but it was alre-ady late as Reyhon had bitten Diana on her wrist. Yet, this didn’t wake Diana up from her slumber.
Derek gr@bbĀ£d Reyhon by the nĀ£Ā¢k and they both tumbled throu-gh the window and out of the building. May ran to hold Diana as she almost made it to the ground.
Pamela on the other side ran to the window, she saw neither Derek nor Reyhon and she hoped Derek would be fine.
Not minding if Reyhon was alive or not. All she cared was for Derek to be safe.
She went Diana’s bĀ©dy, as it la-id on May’s arms. ” Miss. Diana. ” They both called at the same time.
She didn’t respond. The only response she could give to them was a continuous trembling of her bĀ©dy.
” Miss!! Diana!! ” They called again, this time, sounding more terrified.
” What’s going on? ” May asked her.
” I don’t know, I really don’t know. I think you have to call the doctor! ”
She was shivering the more, causing the both ladies a heart attack. May quic-kly ran out of the room, to call the doctor.

Chapter 31:
” Miss!! Diana!! ” They called again, this time, sounding more terrified.
” What’s going on? ” May asked her.
” I don’t know, I really don’t know. I think you have to call the doctor! ”
She was shivering the more, causing the both ladies a heart attack. May quic-kly ran out of the room, to call the doctor.
She almost sli-pped and fell but was held halfway by a hand around her w@!st.
” Be careful, ” Michael’s soft voice sounded in her ear.
She made two steps away from him, adjusting her shifted go-wn. ” Is there a problem? ” He asked, noticing her expression.
” The doctor… The doctor… ” She stuttered.
” What happened to the doctor? ”
” Diana… Diana…”
” What happened to Diana? ” Bella asked as she c@mĀ£ out of nowhere.
May stared at the both of them, not knowing who to answer first. ” Reyhon, he bit Diana and she’s convulsing. ”
Immediately, Bella and Micheal dashed out of sight to Diana’s room.
While May left to call the doctor and when she got to his chamber, she had to offer several knocks before he let her in.
” I’m sorry, May, I was so busy to have heard you knocking. ” studying her look, he asked. ” Did something go wrong? ”
” Yes, doctor. That so-called devil had bitten Diana and she’s in a real state. We really nee-d you in her chamber, she’s convulsing as we speak. ”
Indeed, it was a real state. He gr@bbĀ£d his box, ” I’m right behind you. ”
They made it to Diana’s room, dropping his box to the ground he sat beside her bĀ©dy. The mark of her veins were black and visible on her skin.
He checked her eyes, nodding. ” What’s happening to her? ” Bella asked, worriedly.
” The bite is a poison to her blood and it keeps consuming her inner core. Thankfully it hasn’t gotten to her eyes. ”
” What if it does? ” She questioned.
The doctor stared at her for a while, he answered. ” She’s gonna die. ” He stared around, ” Where is the master? He has to be here. ”

Derek didn’t let go off him even as they fell from the high castle. His hand gr!ppĀ£dhis throat, and they kept exchanging scratches on their faces.
” I alre-ady warned you, you will regret why you had tĀ©uƧhed her. ” He said in a clenched teeth.
Reyhon chuckled, ” You can go ahead killing me, I accept defeat but just know one thing for sure, she’s got only two options to choose. Either she turns to a wolf and joins my pack or she dies. ”
Derek angrily inser-ted his fangs into his belly, de-ep enough, jĀ£rking him high and landing his back on his ankle.
” Never thought you’d be this weak, Reyhon. I’m not finished yet, but I’ve got no time for you either. If I ever l@ymy eyes on you again, I swear, I’m gonna have you dig your grave. ” I dashed back to the castle, straight to Diana’s room.
He ban-ged in, Diana’s bĀ©dy was alre-ady laying on the be-d. ” How is she? ” He asked the doctor.
” I am getting to the bo-ttomof this but we still nee-d one more thing to stĀ©p the poisonous silver from spre-ading. ”
” What is it then? ” He asked, not minding what it could be.
” You have to bite her. ” He said.
Derek paused, ” What?! ”
” That’s the only way, Sire. I discovered that if you bite her, there is a hundred percent chances for her survival. You’re her mate, your’s will be acceptable. ”
” What if it doesn’t work out the way you expect? ” He questioned.
” Trust me, I’ve handled things worster than this. ” Derek went closer to her unconscious bĀ©dy, ” But, ” he paused, ” not only is there a hundred percent chance for her survival, there’s a chance for her to become a werewolf too. ”
Derek stared at her for a while. This wasn’t the life he wanted for her, this wasn’t the fate he chose. But… he has no other choice…

The morning sun rose and the day seemed to be calmer than expected. Diana’s eyes dully opened as she stared around her room.
Her eyes caught with Derek who was slee-ping on the couch beside her be-d. She shifted the duvet aside, gro-an ing at the pains in her joints.
It hurts… Like hell.
She managed to step out of the be-d but fell on his feet. She rose her eyes at him, hoping she didn’t wake him up with that.
He ru-bbe-d his eyes softly, trying to get a glimpse of what it was only to see it was Diana sitting before his feet.
” Diana, ” he called helping her stand to her feet but she fell on him instead.
” I can’t feel my legs, ” she said weakly.
He lifted her up in his arms, dropping her back on the be-d. He looked at her wrist, where Reyhon and he had bitten her but the teeth marks were gone. Only that which he had given her twelve years ago remained.
” Diana… ”
” Why did you have to sleep on the couch? ” She cuts in.
” I felt like spending the night with you. ” He said, shifting the strands of her hair.
” Why on the couch? You know, I would prefer if you had sle-pt on the be-d with me.”
” I didn’t wanna disturb you, that’s why. ”
” That isn’t disturbance, that’s just the right thing. ” She sat up, ” I think I nee-d a cold bath. ”
He carried her to the bathroom, dropping her to her feet. He untied the robes of her nightgo-wn, letting it pool around her feet.
But he quic-kly took off his eyes from her n-kedness. She looked above her shoulder, he wasn’t staring at her. She stepped into the bathtub, sitting in the cold water.
He started ru-bbing her with the sponge, first from her back. ” Why did you take off your eyes? ” She asked, breaking the short silence.
He paused, then continued. ” Are you shy of looking at me? ”
” No, Diana, of course not. ”
She turned to look at him, ” But why? Why did you take your eyes off me? ”
He said nothing.
” Is there something I nee-d to know? ” She questioned.
Even if there is, he can’t just go ahead telling her what happened. Especially the p@rt where she almost died. From the look on his face, it told her that indeed, something really did happen.
But she decided not to ask… at least not now.
She sat back on the tub, facing her back at him to continue. After he was done bathing her, she said to him.
” I will do the rest. ” She said, a hint of disappointment sounded in her voice.
He left the bathroom to her room, searching for a dress. He brou-ght a blue royalty go-wn, dropping it on her be-d.
She stepped out of the bathroom to her room, she was having a towel tied around her che-st. She stared at the go-wn on the be-d.
” I can get you a different colour if you want. ” He said but she rejected.
” I’m cool with blue, it’s my favorite colour. ”
He took the go-wn from the be-d, unZi-pping the Zi-pper. Diana’s eyes were on him and when he noticed her gaze, he couldn’t take his off.
She untied the towel, letting it fall to her feet. Right before him she stood stark n-ked. He swallowed ha-rd , his eyes studying her features.
He swallowed again, trying to take off his gaze from her but she held his face from looking away. ” Don’t resist me… plea-se. ”
His animal was responding to her plea, but he couldn’t. He didn’t want to hurt her, that has always been his fears.
Not that he wasn’t re-ady yet, but… It’s just not the right time for him to.
He kept staring at her until she had put on the dress, and he helped her Zi-p the Zi-pper back up. ” Thank you. ” She said, softly.
There was a knock at the door, she permitted whosoever it was in. The doctor has come to check her again.
” Doctor? ” She called, surprised. Then she looked at Derek.
” I’ll explain later. ” He said, but that wasn’t so convincing to her. ” I promise. But right now, Stanley has to check on you first. ” He turned to the doctor, giving him a nod.
He studied her wrist, ” wow, it’s gone. ”
Diana stared confused at him. ” What’s gone? ” She asked.
” The mark.” He said.
She scoffed, ” I’m sorry but what mark are you talking about? ”
” You haven’t told her yet? ” He asked, referring to Derek.
She looked at Derek, ” What is he talking about, what mark? And what haven’t you tell me? ”
” You have to, Sir. ”
He hesitated for a while, ” You were asleep when Reyhon walked into your room last night, ” he started. ” He bit you and… and you almost died but…” He paused, then continued. ” I had to, I had no choice. That was the only way I could stĀ©p you from losing your life. I couldn’t watch you die,I couldn’t… I wouldn’t want what happened Allison happen to you. ”
Diana was becoming scared. Is it what she is thinking? Does it mean…??
” D… Does it mean… I’m gonna turn to a wolf? A… Am I gonna be p@rt of his… pack?? ” She stuttered, shivering.
