“My……my mom??? How….how???” Marissa stuttered looking shocked and confused
“Turns out she wasn’t really dead when I shot her,but she was really unconscious. And then,I just thought…I wanted Pedro not her. So I told my boys to take care of her” Venom said
“You did that??” Marissa asked again and Venom nodded
“But,why did you take me…..”
“Because he didn’t spare me when my mom was being tortured…..I wanted his daughter to feel the same pain I pa-ssed throu-ghas a minor back then. I just thought….how could he be so cruel even though he’s a father?? That was why,I really wanted to kill you back then,but I just couldn’t……”
“You should have at least told me about my mom,you seriously rescued her even after what my father did?? You spared me also….” Marissa muttered and tears rolled down her eyes
“But still I made you pa-ss throu-ghh*ll,,,I was just blinded by revenge back then. I wouldn’t have done all that if he only killed my father,but…….my mom” Venom sniffs,,his eyes were beginning to get teary
“…..she was like the most innocent and sweetest woman I’ve ever seen……her death was…….” Marissa cut him off with a sudden kis-s as she slammed her li-ps against his own in a de-eper and hungry kis-s.
She held his head softly while their li-ps collided against each other in a fast pace,tears rolling down their eyes together
The kis-s took about ten minutes long before Marissa broke it,her tears still rolling. She suddenly wiped it with the back of her palm and sniffs in.
“I love you Michael….I love you so much and nothing Is ever going to change that,,I promise” She said and also wiped Venom’s tears
“I love you more Marissa,I’m crazy about you” Venom said
Marissa smiled and hug-ged his head to her che-st,kis-sing his hair
“You smell really good” Venom muttered
They broke the hug after a while
“Let’s go see her” Venom said
“Are you sure you want to see her?” Marissa cu-pped his face
Venom smiled and nodded
“Why not? She’s going to be my mother In-law soon” He said and Marissa chuckled
Venom carried her and dropped her back on the floor
“I will get dressed and meet you…”
“No,we are going together to your room. Wait,do you even need to continue staying there?” Venom asked
Marissa laughed
They walked out of the suite together

“How about going out of the clan to have fun at least?” Jinx suggested as she walked with Phoenix
“I wanted to say this when Marissa is here,so where should we go? A club?” Phoenix sm-irked
“Yes!!! I want a different one from our usual party here” Jinx said and Phoenix laughed
“Hey girls” Seth joined them
“Hi Seth” They both said
Seth moved to Jinx’s side
“Hey,do you wanna have a drink with me tonight?” He asked and Jinx looked at him
“Dude,you’re becoming suspicious,you’ve been asking me same thing for two days now” Jinx said and Seth chuckled
“Wait,when I got drunk. Did I do anything silly?? You should tell me rather than teasing me” Jinx poured
“You really can’t remember anything?” Seth asked
“No”
Seth grinned
“You’re laughing again,tell me now!”
“No,,,never..bye” Seth winked at her before walking away
“I can’t believe this” Jinx scoffed
“I guess you two got closer” Phoenix smiled
“Somehow,but I have an idea I did something stupid the last time we drank together” Jinx sighed

ATHENA’S ROOM**
Echo stared at Athena as she pressed her phone with smiles on her face
She sighed and tried to concentrate on what she was doing but couldn’t.
“Hey” She called and Athena looked up
“Yeah?”
“Are you two dating now?” Echo asked
“Who??”
“You know who I’m talking about” Echo said
“Oh Trace?? I told you we are just friends,and don’t worry,we are good now” Athena smiled
Echo roll her eyes
“It’s annoying how you smile while talking about him” She muttered and turned back to her laptop
Athena laughed
“Hey,are you jealous?” She asked and Echo scoffed
Athena got up and went to sit beside her
“Tell me you’re jealous,it’s right on your face that you’re jealous…..”
“Fine!!! I’m jealous!!! Are you happy now?!!!” Echo yelled and Athena moved back
“Why are you so mad about it?? I was just joking……”
“Exactly what I hate so much Athena,you joke with everything…..it’s annoying” Echo said softly and bite her bott-om li-p
“I’m sorry” Athena muttered
“You’re only making it worst if you feel sorry for me” Echo got up and walked out of the room
“What….I didn’t mean to make her angry” Athena muttered and gro-aned

A SAFE HOUSE**
Venom drove into the large compound and stopped the car
Immediately a guard opened the door for them
“You’re welcome boss” They bowed,all holding some dangerous guns in their hands,looking fuc-king hefty
Marissa looked around
“It’s a safe house,not the one godfather knows about. Nobody is aware of this aside me” Venom said and she faced him
He smiled at her and hold her hand before going in,a guard leading the way.
They continue walking,pa-ssing throu-ghnumbers of route until the guard stopped in front of a door.
He opened and urged them to go in
They entered and it’s a suite
They met the Doctor just coming into the living room
“Oh V” he smiled and they shook hands
“Heard she’s awake” Venom said
“She’s perfectly okay now” The doctor said
Venom faced Marissa
“You can go in,I will wait here” He said
Marissa immediately went into the room
She let out a gasp,it was as if what she heard just came throu-gh,maybe she really didn’t believe earlier,but now seeing her mother,who was now staring at her back makes her tear up
“Mom!!!!” She screamed and immediately rushed to hug her
“My baby” Her mom said in tears as she wrapped her arms around Marissa also
“You….you made it mom…..I missed you so much” Marissa cried
They broke the hug and her mom cu-pped her cheek
“How have you been? I see you look really good,I was scared,I was scared I wouldn’t see you again,I was not happy when I woke up,I didn’t know I would see you….baby” she said in tears
“I’m perfectly okay mom….he saved me,,,and took care of me too as you can see” Marissa said,holding her mom’s hand
“I heard he’s Fallon’s child…”
“You know who Fallon is?” Marissa asked in surprise and her mom nodded
“But…..but how…you were never in support of father’s work…”
“I found out somehow..I know about everything your father did to his mom”
Marissa broke into tears
“But you never told me anything mom,anyway I’m glad you’re awake” She hug-ged her again
“I still don’t un-derstand why he saved me,,,why he spared you” Marissa’s mom said
Marissa broke the hug
“Because,he’s not a devil like father. He’s the sweetest guy I’ve ever met” She muttered
“You sound like someone who is in love” Her mom teased
“That’s right mom,I’m in love with him”
“You think he will accept your love?? Your father…….”
“I don’t care about her father,I’m in love with your daughter…mom” Venom entered
Mother and daughter moved away from each other and looked at him
Marissa was surprised,did he just called her mother..mom???
“Let’s forget about the past,,,,and give your daughter to me. I won’t let her get hurt,I promise” Venom said and bowed
Marissa let out a smile
“Who am I to stop you,,,thank you for saving my daughter’s life. And mine too….” She said in tears
Marissa immediately hug-ged her again
“It’s okay mom” she said
Venom’s phone rang and he went out to answer it
Minutes later he came back in
“What’s up?” Marissa asked
“I need to go” He muttered and Marissa immediately stood up
“You mean,we need to go” She said
Venom looked at Marissa’s mom
“You can stay with her if you…..”
“I’m leaving with you” Marissa cut him off and faced her mom
“Mom,here is the safest place you can ever think of. You will be fine,trust me. So please,don’t ever leave this place until everything is okay.” Marissa said and her mom nodded
“Will I see you again??” She asked
“I will make sure to visit sometimes if not often because we have to be careful so you won’t be in danger if any enemy find out about you being here” Marissa said
Her mom hug-ged her
“I love you baby”
“I love you too mom”
Marissa stood up
“Let’s go” She hold Venom’s hand
Venom bowed for Marissa’s mom and she nodded,with a smiling face before waving at them
They both left the room immediately
“What’s going on?” Marissa asked
“Godfather is in the clan” Vebim replied
“What? Isn’t he supposed to be back tomorrow?” Marissa asked
“He love doing things unexpectedly” Venom replied
“Goodbye boss” The guards bowed
“Make sure she’s well taken care of and never allow anyone in except the doctor,follow the maid out whenever she’s going to get something”
“Yes boss!” They chorused
Venom and Marissa entered the car and left the safe house

COBRAS CLAN**
LEX’S APARTMENT**
“The clan seems differently quiet since you arrived godfather” Jubilee smiled as she poured the wine for him
Lex nodded with a fake smile
“It should” He said
“So,how is it going with you and Venom?” He asked
Jubilee chuckled
“By now,I’m sure he’s dating Marissa already” Jubilee said and Lex frowned
“Marissa? Pedro’s daughter?” He asked
“I guess she is” Jubilee muttered
“He wouldn’t do that” Lex laughed dryly
“I’m serious,he wouldn’t even look at me. I’m as good as useless in this clan,I want to leave. I think I should go since I can’t have him…..”
“So you coming here was not because there’s a problem in your clan?? You came here because of Venom?” Blade entered,glaring at Jubilee angrily
“So what??” Lex snapped
“You’ve controlled Venom’s life enough godfather,he can choose any woman for himself. And definitely not her” He pointed at Jubilee who released a scoff before going out
“Blade….”
“It’s true Venom and Marissa are dating,but I don’t think you can do anything about it father” Blade cut him off

Venom parked the car and immediately Drake came to them
“Boss,the godfather would like you to come over to his suite right away….with her” Drake said,referring to Marissa
“Why?” Venom frowned and Marissa held his hand
“Let’s go….don’t worry about me” She said
“You don’t have to….”
“Trust me…please” Marissa said
Venom sighed
They walked to Lex’s apartment and were allowed in,they met Blade there.
“You’re finally here” Lex released a short smile
Venom ignored it and said nothing
Lex turned to Marissa who immediately bowed
“You’re welcome,godfather” She smiled
“It’s a good thing,to see you smile. Marissa” Lex sm-irked
“I guess” Marissa nodded and smiled again
Venom and Blade exchanged meaningful glances
“But then….” They both turned immediately Lex started
“You both know the rules right?” He asked
“You are not allowed to date….”
“Because love is considered a weakness,but I heard you want Jubilee for Venom,godfather” Marissa cut in immediately and Lex raised his brow before laughing out dryly
“Well,it’s true I want Jubilee for him. Because they will look perfect together,definitely not his enemy’s daughter or a weakling” Lex said
Venom tried to move forward but Marissa held him back and moved forward instead
“Enemy’s daughter,accepted. But…what??? A weakling?” Marissa chuckled and looked away
“Oh…..I guess it’s what I’m thinking,Did your boyfriend,perhaps….trained you already?” Lex asked
“Obviously” Marissa smiled
“Oh wow” Lex smiled and began clapping
Venom finally had enough,he grabbed Marissa’s hand and pulled her back
“I know you’re worried about me ending up like father,but you have to trust me at least.” Venom said and Blade roll his eyes
“Yeah I guess I should trust you….but how about…..your sweet girlfriend pa-ss a test first?” Lex asked
“No,there’s no need for a test” Venom snapped
“She should answer that for herself,not you” Lex said and turned to Marissa
“I will approve your relationship with him if you pa-ss my test,are you In or not” Lex asked
“What test?” Marissa asked and Lex sm-irked before dropping a brown envelope on the table
Marissa took it and opened the envelope
She could see a picture of a man in his late forties and then some notes
“What is this?” She asked
“You’re going to kill that man right in the picture and return to the clan with the money he just got from a business partner,every information you will need is right inside that place….That’s your test and you’re going to do it all alone,are you still in or not” Lex sm-irked and puff out the smoke from his pipe
“Father!!!” Blade yelled angrily
“She’s not doing any fuc-king thing” Venom said and tried taking the envelope from Marissa but she ignored him and moved closer to Lex
“I will do it” She said boldly
“What are you saying?? You don’t have to listen to anything he’s saying” Venom said to her but Marissa kept quiet
“You will be going alone,no partner” Lex said
“I said,I will do it” Marissa repeated,more loudly this time around,staring straight into Lex’s eyes who finally let out an evil sm-irk.
