“What do you mean by I am fading away Cheng?” Tatiana asked.
Cheng blinked his eyes, he touch Tatiana’s face, and she was back to normal.
“I saw this part of your face fading Tiana, it was like you were slowly turning invisible” Cheng said.
“Really?” Tatiana asked touching her face.
“Yes Tiana, you became transparent all of a sudden” Cheng said, she was back to be a human, but he couldn’t washed off what he just said.
Tatiana got up from the bed, and went to the mirror, looking at herself.
“But I am okay Cheng, I don’t see myself fading away” Tatiana said still looking at herself in the mirror.
“I saw you fading away Tiana” Cheng mumbled.
“Maybe you are just seeing things Cheng. I guess the thought of you losing me made you think I am becoming invisible or fading away” Tatiana said.
“You think so?” Cheng asked standing up from the bed, and walked closer to her.
“Yes Cheng. Why will I fade away when I am a human? Only Angels who has the powers of the heavens fades away after the human body they inherited leaves them” Tatiana said.
“How did you know that?” Cheng asked, removing the strand of her hair.
“I don’t know Cheng, I just find myself saying so” She said and Cheng looked at her.
“But I know what I saw Tiana, you….”
“Shhhh, I told you were being delusional. C’mon Cheng, if I was fading away earlier, while haven’t I turn into a small tiny creature” She asked smiling.
“Small tiny creature, what does that mean?” Cheng asked.
“When an angel with the powers of the heavens takes over a human body, their powers leaves them, and if they go back to being an angel, their powers will be given back to them, and they will return back to the tiny creature they used to be” Tatiana said smiling.
“Really?” He asked, and Tatiana’s smiles disappeared.
“Huh?” She mumbled.
“So the angels with the powers of the heavens are small tiny creatures?” Cheng asked.
“Where did you hear that from?” She asked.
“But you just say it just now, that angels with the power of the heavens do return back to being a small tiny creature after they leave the human body they inherited” Cheng said.
“Did I say that?” She asked
“Yes you did” Cheng said looking at her with a puzzle face.
“I didn’t say anything like that Cheng. I know angels with the powers of the heavens exist, but I don’t know if they’re small tiny creatures. Why will I say that when I haven’t seen angels with the powers of the heavens before?” Tatiana asked.
“You’re behaving strange Tiana, and is getting me confused” Cheng said, looking at Tatiana.
Tatiana smiled and held his hand.
“Do you want to go out?” She asked smiling.
“Where?”
“Hmm, let’s just walk around Maelstrom, I want to feel the cold night breeze” She said.
“Are you sure? Aren’t you in pains down there?” Cheng asked.
“I am fine, I don’t feel pains anymore” She said smiling.
“Are you sure?” He asked again and Tatiana nodded her head.
“Let’s go” She said trying to leave the room with Cheng, but Cheng stood still.
“What’s wrong Cheng?” She asked.
Cheng smiled at her and said. “Your hair looks messy, let’s get it fixed”
“Will you be able to do it?” She asked smiling, and Cheng nodded, and made her sit on the chair inside his room.
He helped her combed her hair, and weaved it in a pigtail. He also used ribbon to tie her hair, making butterfly shape with it.
“Wow, how were you able to do that?” Tatiana asked smiling.
“While growing up, I have seen the maids style Narmada’s hair like this, I don’t know I still have it stuck in my brain”
“That because you are good at what you do” Tatiana said smiling.
Cheng took her hand, caressing it softly.
“Don’t ever leave me Tiana, I will go crazy if you do”
“I won’t leave you Cheng. I am betrothed to you, so where can I possibly go if not being by your side?” She asked.
“I don’t know Tiana, the thought of seeing you fading away earlier is making me scared” Cheng said, and Tatiana cupped his face, looking de-ep into his charming eyes.
“What you saw was nothing Cheng. You are the one who created that image of I fading away, I am human like you Cheng, so I can’t possibly fade away” Tatiana said.
Cheng sniffs and nodded his head.
“You are right Tiana. You are human and you will always stay by side, until death do us apart” He said and Tatiana smiled.
“Let’s take a walk together” She said taking his hand, and both left the palace.

It was late into the night, but it doesn’t look like it in the kingdom of Maelstrom, because a lot of people were having so much fun.
Somewhere singing and dancing, while some were busy selling their goods, somewhere making fires throu-ghtheir mouths and playing with it.
The rest of the people who weren’t doing anything was busy cheering from them and little children were seen running around, playing with one another.
“I didn’t know Maelstrom was this lively” Cheng said with his locked on Tatiana’s hand.
“Yes it is. Is usually quite during the day because they’re all working, but when it nightfalls they always gathered together, and a-ssociate with another” Tatiana explained, and Cheng nodded his head.
He smiled when he saw how people where making fires out of their mouths, but his smiling face disappeared, when he saw a little kid kid playing with fire near a house.
The entire houses in Maelstrom, were all made with woods, blocks and cement weren’t available in their era.
Cheng looked at the house, and just by looking at the house from where he was standing, he could see some children playing together inside.
Nobody owns the house, it’s just a house where children gather together and play different kinds of traditional games.
“He might set the house on fire” He said.
Cheng let go of Tatiana’s hand and tries to go to the little boy who was still playing with the fire near the house, but Isha who have been watching him stopped him.
“Don’t stop him, let’s the children inside the house die” Isha whispers to him.
“Cheng are you all right?” Tatiana asked.
But before Cheng could answer, the house has already started burning. The fire the little kid was playing with flew to the roof and entrance of the house, and began burning.
????Fire!!
???? The house is on fire!!
???? Someone please save the children inside
???? My child!!
The people screamed crying and half of the people who came for the entertainment show, their children were inside the burning house, and they could hear the crying voices of the children.
???? Someone please save our children
Came the wailing cry of some mothers.
Cheng tried to walk towards the burning house again, but Isha whispered to him, making incantations.
“Don’t save the children Cheng, they think you are evil, so show them how evil you are” Isha said laughing like a witch which indeed she is.
Cheng held both sides of his ears, as Isha’s words and laughter kept penetrating inside his ear.
“What are you doing Cheng? Please save the children” Tatiana said, but Cheng kept holding both sides of his ears.
“I am done. I am done listening to you!!!” He screamed out loudly, and Isha who was still performing dark magic flew and landed her back on the wall, after Cheng screamed at her.
She lost consciousness, bleeding from her mouth.
As for Cheng after he screamed out loudly, he transformed into a demon, with sharped long tails, red eyes, and dark smokes circulating around him.
???? He’s a demon!!

The people screamed running, but they stopped running when they saw Cheng walking towards the burning house, and he entered the burning house and began bringing out the children one of the other.
The fire didn’t penet-rate inside his body, because it kept quenching any time the fire touch his body.
Cheng eventually brou-ght out the entire children from the fire, and the children who were hurt from the fire, he healed them with his dark powers, and the people of Maelstrom had their mouths opens in shock, as Cheng heals their children.
???? He saved our children!
???? The third prince saved our children!
And the drummers began meeting the Tanggu and Ruan ( Traditional ways of saying musical instruments)
???? Prince Cheng save our children
???? He’s not a dangerous demon like we thought
???? Long live the future king of Maelstrom

The people kept saying as they dance to the beating of the Tanguu and Ruan.
Cheng was speechless, this was the first time people acknowledge him of being a demon, in fact this was the first time he has has done something good with his powers.
He slowly transformed back to his human self, and he fainted.
“Cheng!” Tatiana screamed his name running to where he was.

⟨ PALACE OF MAELSTROM ⟩
“Is the hearsays true, Cheng saved a lot of children from the fire?” Waylon asked looking at Cheng who was still sleeping.
Tatiana smiled, caressing Cheng’s head.
“Yes he did, for the first time in ten years he used his power to do something good, I am sure he will be over the moon when he wakes up” Tatiana said.
“The dark witch that possessed him with the power of the demon always control him to do evil, right? How was he able to overcome it, and saved the children?” Waylon asked.
“I don’t know Waylon, I think he’s begining to know how to control his powers without being controlled” Tatiana said.
“But how did that happen, I thought the dark witch was powerful?”
“I don’t know either Waylon. I guess something must have triggered him to not listen to the the dark witch” Tatiana said.
“If that’s the case then I am happy. At least the whole of Maelstrom are talking good about Cheng” Waylon said smiling, and Tatiana returned the smile, holding Cheng’s hand.
“I will be back, the ministers of Maelstrom are here to talk to my father” Waylon said.
“Alright Waylon” Tatiana said and Waylon leaves, Tatiana resumes caressing Cheng’s hair.
“I wonder why you were able to control yourself” She mumble, and she began seeing images that weren’t clear, it was more like a lost memories that was returning back to her.
“If you save that child, you will lose your powers”
“Is our duty to save lives Farris”
“Your powers aren’t meant to save lives”
“I don’t care, I am going to save this child”
“Stop being stubborn Gretchen!”
Tatiana gasps after hearing the name Gretchen. The images of the people in what she remembered weren’t clear, only their voices was clear to her.
“Who are these people and why can’t I see their faces? And who is Gretchen, and Farris or the child they were talking about?” Tatiana asked holding her forehead.

⟨ THE KING’S CHAMBER ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
“What nonsense are you all saying? You want Cheng to take over the throne after the king steps down!!!” Queen Anjali yells at the minsters.
“Yes Queen Anjali, you must have heard what he did right, Prince Cheng has the power of saving the people of Maelstrom anytime we are in danger” One of the ministers of Maelstrom said.
“Really? Weren’t y’all the same people who wanted him dead or exiled, huh!!” Queen Anjali shouted.
“Yes, but we came to realize that he will be able to save us with his powers. So he should be king”
“And what about my son, he’s the first prince of Maelstrom!!!”
“But everyone knows he’s a useless prince. If he becomes king, he won’t be able to take care of this kingdom” Another minister said.
“What do you have to stay about this, your Majesty?” Queen Vanya asked.
“I myself have always wanted Cheng to be king” King Osvaldo said in a calm voice and Queen Anjali clenched her fists looking so angry.

⟨ ISHA’S CAVE ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
The footsteps of the veiled person could be held as it’s enters Isha’s cave.
“What happened to you?” The veiled person asked looking at Isha who was injured.
“I tried stopping Cheng for saving the children, but he disobey and this happened to me” Isha said.
“But how did that happen? You always control Cheng and he listens”
“Is all because of Tatiana?”
“Meaning?”
“She is slowly regaining her powers, in no time she is going to have her powers back. Tatiana isn’t human, she’s the guidance of the forest and seven seas”
“But how did she become human and came into Cheng’s life”
“I have no idea, but one thing is for sure, Tatiana’s powers are no jokes”
“Is that why you can’t control Cheng earlier?” The veiled person asked.
“I think it’s has something to do with them mating together”
“What should I do? The reason why I told you to possessed Cheng with the power of the demon is because I want him to be hated and feared by lots of people, which will preventing him in fulfilling his destiny of being king. But now that he saved children from a burning house, they are willing to accept him as King even if he has the power of the demon” The veiled person stopped and continue.
“And now that you can’t control him, what if my son Waylon, never gets the chance to be king”
“There’s one way out” Isha said
“Which is?” The person in the veil asked.
“I can only be able to control Cheng’s demon again, throu-ghblood rites and sacrifice. Once it’s done, he will become more wild, and it will be difficult for Tatiana to free from my clutches” Isha said.
“What kind of rites and sacrifice?”
“Human sacrifice. The blood of a pure soul is what will need to make sure Cheng never gets the chance to be king, and always listens to me” Isha said.
“Who is this human we will be sacrificing?” The veiled person asked.
“Your one and only daughter Narmada,” Isha said, and the veil fell off from the person’s face, revealing the face of the person to be
