“Why did you disgrace Queen Anjali in such a way Cheng? I understand she is not a good person, but making the first queen of Maelstrom jump like a frog is so cruel” King Osvaldo said.
“Cruel? You think what I did to her was cruel? If I was being cruel to her, she’d have be croaking like a real frog, for raising those filthy hands of hers on my bride” Cheng said.
“Are you trying to say you will kill anyone that dares to lay a finger on Tatiana?” King Osvaldo asked.
“If anyone is satisfied with his or her lives and wants to die, he should try laying a finger on Tiana, and he’s surely going to get what he seeks for” Cheng said with a serious look on his face.
King Osvaldo sighed and asked “Do you love her that much?”
“What is the business if I love Tiana? You obviously don’t care about my life” Cheng said.
“Come-on Cheng, I am trying to fix my mistakes, can’t we be like father and son? We used to be so close years ago, maybe you have forgotten that you were my favorite son”
“But you didn’t hesitate to neglect me when I was possessed with the power of the demon” Cheng said.
“And I am trying to fix it. You have given Waylon a second chance, so why can’t the same be applied to me? Does my present irritates you so much?” The king asked with misty eyes.
“If it does, I won’t be here talking to you” He said and King Osvaldo smiled lightly.
“Waylon told me you and Tatiana are a couple now, is that true?” King Osvaldo asked, and Cheng nod his head, not saying a word.
“I see why you are so protective of her. But you already know the laws of Maelstrom, right?”
“Which is?” Cheng asked.
“Tatiana is a palace maid, and since you are a prince is essential you do the right thing”
“I don’t understand”
“You have to be betrothed to Tatiana for her to be accepted as your bride. If you don’t get betrothed to her, she will still be a palace maid even if she’s your lover” King Osvaldo said.
“Is that all?” Cheng asked.
“Yes Cheng, and to make up for neglecting you for ten years, I am going to accept Tatiana as your bride”.
“Thank… Father” Cheng said and King Osvaldo smiled.
“Thank you for finally calling me father. Talk to Tatiana about it, and I get everything ready for engagement rites”.
Cheng nodded his head and left the king’s chamber. He went to his room and sees Tatiana walking back and front, probably worried.
“Why are you looking worried as if I went to the battlefield to fight?” Cheng asked, and Tatiana briskly walked to him.
“What did the king say? Did he scold you for making Queen Anjali jump like a frog?” Tatiana asked worriedly.
“Have you forgotten who I am? I’m Cheng, the one possessed with the power of a demon” Cheng said smiling.
“Even so, he is your father and the King of Maelstrom, he has every right to scold you” Tatiana said.
“Luckily he didn’t, he dare not scold me because I was protecting my bride”
“I think I am making you do things you shouldn’t do, you are ready to kill someone because of me, and I feel bad about it” Tatiana said and Cheng cupped her face staring at her beautiful blue eyes.
“Don’t be Tatiana.The ones who try to hurt you are the ones looking for trouble. If they want to die, they should try to hurt you, and I won’t hesitate to send them to the world beyond”
“I thought you hated the fact that you were possessed by a demon?” Tatiana asked coiling her arms around his neck.
“I used to hate it, but everything change when I met you, because I can use it in protecting you from those that wants to hurt you” Cheng said and kis-s her lightly.
“But is strange your demon is not getting controlled. You have been in the palace from some days now, and you haven’t used your powers wrongly” Tatiana said.
“I have also thought about that too. I guess the dark witch that possessed me is trying to lay low since Waylon is on the lookout for her”
“Waylon is trying to look for the dark witch that possessed you? Isn’t that dangerous?” Tatiana asked.
“Yes it is, but I won’t let any harm come his way” Cheng said, and Tatiana nod her head.
“I have something to tell you” He said.
“Which is?”
Cheng was about answering her question, when Thiago barged in.
“How could you have made my mother hop like a frog in the market!!” Thiago yelled at him.
The few people who knew and saw Queen Anjali jumping like a frog, spread it around Maelstrom, but they don’t actually know it was Cheng who ordered her to jump like a frog.
Queen Anjali locked herself inside her room crying, and when Thiago couldn’t bear to see his mother crying, he decided to confront Cheng even if he was scared.
“Did your mother tell you what she did to my bride before I made her jump like a frog?” Cheng asked.
“It was just a slap Cheng, you shouldn’t have disgrace her that way” Thiago said.
“Just a slap? Should I slap you and called it just a slap, huh?” Cheng said going close to Thiago, and Thiago quickly snuggle backwards.
“No” He answers with so much trepidation.
“I won’t have done that to your mother, if she didn’t raise her hands on my bride. I don’t want to cause any harmless to you all, but do me a favor and stay thirteen miles away from my bride, else you will be added to the animals in the jungle” Cheng said and diverted his eyes to Tatiana, and held her waist.
“Well the King…” Cheng stopped when he noticed Thiago was still in the room with them.
“Do you want to be added to the animals in the jungle?” He asked and Thiago ran out of the room.
“You didn’t have to scare him like that” Tatiana said.
“What he did to me when I was still a kid was worse” Cheng said.
“Really?”
“Yes Tiana. Before I wasn’t possessed with the power of the demon, Thiago and Queen Anjali used to bully me a lot, I was helpless then, but not anymore. Do you know the funny part of everything” He asked smiling.
“What?”
“I can’t turn them into animals or object” He said smiling.
“Really? But you always threaten to turn them into animals, just like you did just now”
“I am only saying that to scare them. I can do all kinds of magic, except turning a human into an animal or object, I guess only the ones blessed with the powers of the heavens can transform a human being to any kind of animals or objects” Cheng said, and Tatiana hits his chest.
“Ouch, why did you hit me?”
“You are so bad Cheng, I literally believe you can a human into an animal” Tatiana said and Cheng smiles and said
“In order to make people respect you, you have to make them believe you can do something, even if you can’t do it”
“And since when did you become a parable speaker?” Tatiana asked and Cheng laughed.
“What did you wanted to say to me before Prince Thiago barged in?”
“Let’s get engaged” He said.
“Huh? But I’m just a palace maid Cheng, and the only reason why I am not being chased out from the palace for being in a relationship with a prince, is because you have the power to stop the world if you choose to” Tatiana said.
Cheng smiled and caressed her cheeks. “Don’t worry Tiana, the King was the one who suggest we get engaged”
“Really? The King approved of our relationship?”
“Yes he did, and the only way for you to stop being a palace maid is if you are betrothed to me” Cheng said, and Tatiana smiled.
“I never thought it will be easy for the king to accept me” She said.
“I might hate my father for neglecting me ten years ago, but believe me when I say he is a good man. Will you be my betroth?”
“Of course I will Cheng, I love you” Tatiana said smiling.
“So do you have any relative I can send gifts to for our engagement rites” He asked with a happy smile on his face.
“I have only an aunt as a relative. She’s Manisha by name, and I am sure she will be over the moon, since she has always wanted me to get married”
“I will send lots of gifts to her right this instant, so we can get engaged tomorrow” Cheng said.
“Do you want me to stop being a palace maid that badly?” She asked smiling.
“Yes, but that’s not the only reason”
“Then what?” She asked and Cheng’s eyes scanned her body in a nau-ghty way, especially her bre-ast s.
Tatiana notice it, and covers her bre-ast s with her hands.
“Why are you looking at me that way?” She asked stuttering.
“You already know what I mean right?” Cheng asked naughtily, going closer to her.
Tatiana screamed and ran out of the room, and Cheng laughs so hard.

Marcellus shot at the archery range and he got it perfectly.
“Yes” He said with a happy smile.
“How on Earth did you do that? I have been trying to get a perfect hit, but I always failed” Cheng said.
Just like how he promised to practice archery with Marcellus, Cheng is fulfilling his promise, and gracefully, they are bonding so well.
“Even if you have powers you can’t be good at everything” Marcellus said, and Cheng chuckled.
“I heard you and Tatiana will be getting engaged” Marcellus said.
“Yes” Cheng said smiling.
“I am happy for you Cheng, I should be in the special seat on your engagement rite”
“Why? Are we friends?” He asked.
“I thought we were friends already” Marcellus said.
“You want to be friends with a demon?” Cheng asked looking surprised
“Yes Cheng”
“Are you not afraid of what I might to do you?” Cheng asked.
“No, and if you start to act up, I will just pour you hot water, and your demon will quench” Marcellus said, and Cheng laugh.
“You are so funny” He said.
“And I am glad that I made a demon laugh. But do you know you were born on the night the King’s star appeared?” Marcellus asked.
“I was?”
“Yes Cheng. It means you are destined to rule Maelstrom. This might be a hunch, but I think you were possessed with a demon, so you will be hate by many, which will deprived you of fulfilling your destiny” Marcellus said and Cheng looked at him.

⟨ ISHA’S CAVE ≈ NIGHT ⟩
A palanquin was lifted down by four men who were workers from the brothel and Amica came out from the palanquin.
“Don’t move an inch from here, I will be back” Amica said and enters the cave.
Her footsteps was held as she walks towards the room, where Isha always perform her dark magic.
Amica entered the room and sees her incanting some magical spells, probably invoking dark powers.
Isha stopped when she noticed Amica’s present and she turned to look at Amica, and Isha smiled.
“You finally came to see me” Isha said smiling.
“Long time no see… mother”
