⟨ CHENG ⟩
Cheng carefully laid Tatiana on the bed, and sits beside her on the bed, watching her beautiful face. She looks fragile and more beautiful when sleeping.
Cheng drew invisible line from her forehead down to her small heart shaped li-ps, caressing it softly.
“Tiana” He called her name as if she could hear him.
“Thank you for bringing light into my dark world. After I was abandoned by my own family, I thought I was going to be a loner for the rest of my life, but you showed up and added meaning to my life”.
“I used to think about dying because I hated my fate, but I finally have a reason to live and is all thanks to you Tiana. I may not have remember our memories from ten years ago, but I promise to treasure the memories I have with you, forever” Cheng said looking at her.
Tatiana pouted her li-ps in her sleep, cuddling herself in his arm, and Cheng smiled handsomely.
“I love you Tiana. I hope I will be able to tell that I have fallen into your charms” Cheng said and pecks her forehead, patting her softly.

⟨ PALACE OF MAELSTROM ⟩
“Waylon is not yet back?” Queen Vanya asked the bodyguard in charge of protecting Waylon’s room.
“No he is not yet back, my queen” One of them answers.
“Where the hell would he have gone to? He is not the type to leave the palace for days” Queen Vanya mumbled to herself.
She was about leaving for her room, when she sees Waylon staggering as he walks towards his room.
“Waylon” She called his name, rushing to where he was.
“Mother” Waylon said with a crying voice, and Queen Vanya could see the visible tears in his eyes.
“What happened to you Waylon? Why are you crying?” Queen Vanya asked.
“It hurts so much mother” Waylon said.
“What are you standing there for? Come and help me take him to his room” Queen Vanya orders.
The bodyguards helped Waylon to his room and they laid him on the bed.
“You all can leave” She said.
The bodyguard nodded their heads and leaves the room. Queen Anjali snuggle close to Waylon, caressing his hair.
“What happened to you son? Is unlike you to get drunk?” Queen Vanya asked.
“I love her mother. I love her so much” Waylon said. His eyes were closed, but it kept producing tears.
“Who?”
“Tatiana. I fell in love with her from the very first day I saw her. When she came to the palace to work as a maid, I thought it was fate that brou-ght her to me, but little did I know that she came here just to see Cheng”
“She is the very first girl my heart beats for, but sadly she became the very first one to break my heart. I want to forget about my feelings for her, but it’s hurting my heart so badly. I love her a lot, I really do” Waylon said crying in his sleep.
Queen Vanya said nothing. All she did was clean Waylon’s tears that kept coming out from his eyes.

⟨ THE FOLLOWING DAY ⟩
Kira opens the door, when she heard a knock on the door.
“What are you doing here Zelda?” Kira asked.
“Is Tatiana in? I want to speak to her” Zelda said smiling.
“Tatiana is not here”.
“What do you by she’s not here?” He asked.
“Tatiana hasn’t come back to the palace ever since Prince Cheng saved her when she was almost killed”.
“She is still with him? Why is the King not ordering her to come back? She is a palace maid” Zelda said.
“Yes she is, but there is nothing to be done about it. Cheng already claimed Tatiana. I’m sure you heard what he did to both Prince Thiago, Princess Supriya and Lady Harlow, right? Is no doubt that the King is afraid of his son, and beside who won’t be afraid of a demon that can make the entire palace collapse if he wants to” Kira said.
“But still, is dangerous for Tatiana to live with him. He’s possessed with the powers of a demon which means he gets controlled from time to time, what if he is controlled to kill Tatiana?” Zelda said with a worried face.
“I doubt if he is going to hurt Tatiana. You were present the day he saved her, right? I think Prince Cheng has feelings for Tatiana”.
“That’s impossible, he is a demon” Zelda said jealously.
“Even so, demons do fall in love too. Prince Cheng is a human, the only thing that makes him different from is, is the demon inside of him, which means he knows what love means and how it feels” Kira said.
Zelda clenched his fists secretly, angry by the thought that Tatiana is with Cheng, and that Cheng is in love with her.

⟨ OUTSIDE THE PALACE ≈ HARLOW’S HOUSE ⟩
A slap landed on Harlow’s face and she falls to the ground.
“Narmada” She muttered, touching her cheek.
“That’s not enough for trying to poison me Harlow” Narmada said.
“Narmada, I’m sorry, I only did it because I was jealous. Waylon feels something for Tatiana and not me” Harlow said.
She was back to her normal self. The pains were gone, but her swollen bodies hasn’t healed up yet.
“Even if you are in love with my brother, that doesn’t give you the right to poison me just because you want Tatiana gone. And with what you did, do you possibly think Waylon is ever going to fall in love with you!!” Narmada yells at Harlow.
Harlow tries yo touch Narmada, but Narmada snuggle backward.
“I’m sorry Narmada, is never going to happen again. Please talk to your brother and your father to give me another chance. I have being banned from coming to the palace, please talk to them and I’ll be good from now on” Harlow begged.
“I’ll be the most stupid person on earth if I begged my brother and father to allow you come to the palace like you please, and for the record, I don’t want my brother to end up with a heartless being like you. I’d choose a courtesan to end up with my brother than you Harlow!!” Narmada shouted at Harlow.
“Narmada, I sorry” Harlow said crying.
“Sorry for your stupid self Harlow” Narmada said and leaves Harlow’s house.
She walks around Maelstrom, trying to calm herself down, and her anger disappeared when she saw Zain, checking out some kimono fabrics.
She briskly walked up to him, with her smile not leaving her face.
“Zain”
Zain let out a happy smile, when he saw her. “Narmada. Where have you been?” He asked.
Narmada takes in her li-ps before talking.
“I wasn’t in Maelstrom for a while because my Master’s daughter got married, and we had to escort her to her husband’s house, since he lives in the next kingdom” Narmada lied.
“I see. It must have been so stressful, right?” He said patting her head softly and Narmada smiles.
“Yes it was, but I was able to knuckle it” She said, and Zain smiled lightly, and resumes looking at the kimono fabric
“Are you getting a kimono fabric for someone?” Narmada asked.
“Yes is for Anisha” He answers smiling, and Narmada frowns.
“Anisha?” She asked with a sullen face.
Zain noticed her sullen face and said. “Anisha is my ten years old sister, I’m buying a fabric for her, to make her kimono” Zain said, and Narmada’s brighten up.
“Oh really? Then I should help you select the best fabric for her” Narmada said checking out the kimono fabrics, Zain looks at her and smiled.

“Thanks for helping me get a good fabric for my sister Narmada, she would have killed me if I didn’t get a fabric that meets with her taste” Zain said as they walked around the woods.
“Then I guess she is a ha-rd nut to crack”.
“Yes she is Narmada. Oftentimes, I wonder if she is ten years old or twenty years old”.
Narmada smiles.
“My brother is like that too, he is the same age as your sister”.
“You have a brother?” Zain asked and Narmada takes in her li-ps.
*You talked too much Narmada, you can’t tell him Jai is your brother, he might find out you are a princess* Narmada thought, and clears her throat
“Yes I do. But he is living with my mother in Rhema’s kingdom”.
“Rhema’s kingdom? I thought you are from Maelstrom?” He asked looking at her.
“Yes I am, but the man she got married to lives in Rhema’s kingdom, so that’s why she is staying there with my brother” Narmada said.
Zain smiles and held her hand, while Narmada looks at him.
“Since you helped me out in a selecting a good kimono fabric for Anisha, I will treat you out with chicken wings and liquor” Zain said, and Narmada happily went with him.

⟨ BACK IN THE PALACE ≈ JAI’S STUDY ROOM ⟩
“You mean I was born in the year of the rabbit” Jai asked.
“Yes you were Prince Jai” Marcellus answers.
“Is it a good thing if you are born in the year of the rabbit?” Little Jai asked again.
“Of course, because people who are born in the year of the rabbit are always peaceful and calm”.
“Now I see why I’m so calm and peaceful, and different from my brother Thiago” Jai said and Marcellus smiles.
“What about you Scholar Marcellus, what year were you born?” Jai asked.
“I was born in the year of the snake” He answers.
“What does it mean?” Jai asked.
“People born in the year of the snake are thoughtful, and intuitive. They tend to act according to their own judgement, hates to fail and they’re mysterious and wise” Marcellus said.
“Now I see why you are very wise and was able to read the Stars” Jai said and Marcellus smiles.
“Have you heard news about Tatiana, the maiden your brother rescued?” Marcellus asked.
“I don’t know Scholar Marcellus, but I heard from my maids that she is staying in the cottage with my brother” Jai answers.
“Is she okay staying there with him?” Marcellus asked.
“I think she is. If she is not comfortable living in the cottage with him, she would have been back in the palace. But why are you asking about her? Are you interested in Tatiana?”
“Of course not Prince Jai. I have my reasons for asking, but it doesn’t mean I’m interested in her” Marcellus said.
“Can you keep telling me about the meaning of the year one was born in?” Jai asked smiling.
“Sure”
“What does it mean if you are born in the year of the king’s star” Jai asked.
“It means rightful heir to the throne, and I think that’s the year Cheng was born”.

⟨ ISHA’S CAVE ≈ NIGHT ⟩
“You want me to control Cheng’s demon?” Isha asked the person on the veil.
“Yes”
“But I told you we have to lay low in order to know the connection between them and what kind of powers she possessed” Isha said.
“Haven’t you been able to find out anything about her?” The person in veil asked.
“No I haven’t, there’s a great power preventing me from foreseeing what she really is. But why do you want me to control Cheng’s power”.
“I want to teach that girl a lesson”.
“You mean Tatiana?” Isha asked.
“Yes. My son cried because of her, she chose to love Cheng instead of him. I want her to know what it feels like to be hurt by the person you love so much” The person on the veil said.
“Your wishes will be done” Isha said and the person wearing the veil smirked wickedly.

⟨ SAME NIGHT ≈ COTTAGE ⟩
“Why do you love Yellow tea so much?” Tatiana asked smiling as Cheng drank the tea. Her head was in his chest, and they were both sitting outside, watching the moon.
Cheng smiles stro-king her hair. “I don’t know, I just became obsessed with it, after I found out that my late mother loved it” He said.
“In that case, I will keep making it for you” Tatiana said, and Cheng kis-sed her forehead, and Tatiana giggles.
“Hurt her” Isha’s voice whispered to him, and he quickly separated from Tatiana as he began transforming into a demon.
“What’s going on Cheng, why’re suddenly transforming into a demon?” Tatiana asked.
“Hurt her” Isha said whispering incantation inside his ears, and Cheng held both side of his ears.
“Get out of here Tiana” Cheng said retraining himself from hurting her.
“What going on Cheng?” She asked.
“I don’t want to hurt you, so please get out from here” Cheng said holding his right hand so he won’t use it in hurting her.
“Hurt her right this instant” Isha said performing more incantations.
“I don’t want to hurt, I can’t do it. I can’t hurt Tiana” Cheng said holding his ears as Isha’s incantations keeps echoing in his ears.
“Cheng”
“Don’t come here me Tiana, I am going to hurt you. I’m trying not to hurt you so please leave this place, I’m begging you” Cheng said crying, as he kept retraining himself not to hurt her.
“Sim Sala bin – mojo” Isha whispers her evil magic spells to Cheng.
Cheng’s nails immediately grew the more, his eyes produced fire, and lots of dark magic flames circulated around him.
“Alakazam Hocus pocus” Isha whisper to him, and Sword from no where appeared on the hand, and he began walking towards Tatiana with the sword in his hand.
“Cheng” Tatiana muttered his name, as she walks backwards, looking scared.
“Hurt her” Isha command.
Cheng raise the sword to slit Tatiana with it, and Tatiana screams falling to the ground.
When the sword didn’t touch her, Tatiana raise her head up and sees Cheng struggling with the sword, so he won’t used it on her.
“I can’t do, I can’t hurt her, please stop” Cheng said with a crying voice, as he struggled with the sword, which kept aiming at Tatiana.
And in order not to hurt Tatiana, Cheng manage to raise the sword and stabbed the sword inside his stomach, he fell on his knees, and blood gushed out from his mouth.
“Cheng!!!!” Tatiana screamed out his name as thick balls of tears falls down from her eyes.
