Queen Anjali is seen pacing around the room, as the palace physician attend to Thiago who was laying unconscious on the bed.
“Why is my son not waking up!!” She shouted at the palace physician.
“He is going to wake up soon, your highness. Thankfully none of his bone got fractured” The physician said.
“This is all Cheng’s fault!!! How dare him barge inside the palace and cause such an havoc!!” Queen Anjali screamed in a loud voice.
Her whole veins were showing, indicating how mad she was.
“I think he came to the palace because we were about to hurt Tatiana” Supriya said with so much trepidation in her eyes.
“And why we he come to save Tatiana? Do they know each other?” Harlow asked.
“Well I heard Tatiana knows him from childhood, and I think Tatiana has always been going to the cottage to see him” Supriya said.
“You think so?” Queen Anjali asked.
“Cheng has been banned from entering the palace for over ten years now, and there is no way he will just come out from his cottage just to save her, if Tatiana doesn’t go to his cottage to see him. I saw the rage of anger in his eyes, what if he kills me?” Supriya said.
“And why will he kill you, you weren’t the one who ordered her head to be cut off, neither are you the one who poisoned Narmada and pinned the blame on Tatiana, right?”
Supriya gulped ha-rd and looks at Harlow, who quickly looked away, crimping her fingers, how would she have known Tatiana had a connection with a demon.

Screams upon screams filled the whole palace, as the maids and bodyguards paved way for Cheng, who was walking towards the king’s chamber.
He always gets affected anytime people called him a demon and run away from him, but this time he didn’t care if they called him a demon.
He was back to his human self, but the burning anger in his eyes, haven’t left him, he successfully made his way inside the king’s chamber, and walks straight to him.
“Who ever told you that you could hurt my bride!!!” Cheng yells at him, and his voice echoed a thousands times inside the king’s chamber.
This will be the first time he will be speaking to his father after ten years. He has always anticipated their conversation to be a father and son’s conversation, but not anymore, because his father dared to hurt his bride
“She had Narmada poisoned Cheng” King Osvaldo said.
“And what evidence do you have that she is actually the one who poisoned Narmada? Just because she is a maid, you were quick to believe she did it. You people had her whipped, how dare you do that to her!!!” Cheng yells again, and some part of the king’s chamber caught fire immediately.
“Are you trying to show off your demon powers now?” He asked.
“If you don’t want to know what my dark power can do, then I will advise you to shut up, or I’m going to turn you upside down” Cheng said with all seriousness.
“Do you realize you are talking to your father?” King Osvaldo asked.
“From what I can remember, I have no father, neither do I have a family. Tiana is the only one I have, and she is so important to me, if you dare hurt her again, you are going to answer to me” Cheng said and turns to leave.
“Are you mad at me for abandoning you to your fate ten years ago? I only did that to save the people in the palace, you are uncontrollable Cheng, and I’m sorry if I abandoned you and never cared about you” King Osvaldo apologize.
Cheng without saying any words to King Osvaldo, left his chamber completely, and he meets Waylon on his way to search for Harlow and Supriya.
Cheng looks at him, and tries to leave, but Waylon called his name, making him stopped on his track.
“What do you want?” He asked with rage of anger.
“Is that how to talk to your elder brother now?” Waylon asked.
“I have no brother, I was brou-ght into this world alone” Cheng said and tries to leave again, but Waylon blocked his part.
“Since when did you and Tatiana became close?” He asked.
“How we became close is none of your business” Cheng said.
“I should have known that Tatiana went against my order when I told her never to go to that cottage to see you”.
“And who are you to order her around?” Cheng asked.
“I’m the third prince of Maelstrom and I’m just protecting her from you”.
“Protecting her? She almost died, but all you did was watched her getting killed without doing anything to save her!!” Cheng yells at him.
“I tried my best to save her Cheng. She is the woman I love, do you think I would have let her die?” Waylon said.
Cheng grabbed him by the collar and pinned Waylon to wall forcefully, shocking the living daylight out of Waylon.
“If you love your life, don’t even think about going anywhere close to Tiana”.
“You don’t own her Cheng, just because you have some powers and you were able to save her doesn’t mean you can claim her”.
“I already claim her a long time ago Waylon. I made not remember what we shared together as kids ten years ago, but Tiana is my bride, and if you don’t take time, I’m going to dig out your heart and feed it to my demon”.
“Is this what you have become, the Cheng I know back then wasn’t this way” Waylon said.
“The Cheng you knew back then died the day you all saw him as a demon, the only person I can be nice to is Tiana, I don’t joke with her Waylon, stay away from my bride” Cheng said releasing his grip from Waylon.
Waylon watch him as he walks away.
“So Tatiana has been going to Cheng’s cottage and yet she told me she will never go there. I’m going to get her back” He said to himself.

“If you had told me Cheng knows Tatiana, I won’t have agreed to frame her!!!” Supriya shouted at Harlow.
“How should I have known he knows her?” Harlow asked.
“What should we do Harlow? Cheng might come for us, because we are the master mind behind everything that happened” Supriya said with trepidation in her eyes.
“He won’t be able to know we were the one who plotted the whole thing” Harlow said.
“Are you sure?” Supriya asked.
“I’m sure of it. Is not like he has the power of reading the past and the present” Harlow said.
Supriya sighs in relief, and just as they were about to sit down, the door of Supriya’s room broke, and Cheng entered.
Supriya and Harlow’s heart instantly went to heaven when they saw Cheng, they tried to run away from the second door that was closed to them, but before they got to it, Cheng shot the open door closed with his eyes, and both Harlow and Supriya melted like ice.
“You both were the ones who framed my bride, right?” He asked with rage of anger.
“It wasn’t me, it was Harlow, she was the one who came up with the idea of framing Tatiana” Supriya rushingly said, and Cheng turned his gaze to Harlow.
“I wasn’t the one who framed Tatiana, it was my twin sister. I have no idea about what going on” Harlow said already crying.
“I didn’t know a witch could cry. Do you think I won’t find out it was the both of you who plotted the whole scheme, so my bride could be killed?”
Harlow and Supriya looks at him, sweating and crying at the same time.
“This is the very first time I will be happy of having a demon inside of me, because its power will always help me save my bride, and also make the people that hurts her pay dearly for it” Cheng said.
“Tiana won’t be happy that I killed the both of you, so I am just going to make you both pay for hurting the demon’s bride” He added
He looks at both Harlow and Supriya, and within a seconds, they began screaming in pain, as blood gushed out from their ears, mouths and nostrils.
Their bodies began swelling as well, with their inner system aching all over.
Their screaming pains alerted both Thiago and Queen Anjali, and they entered the room, only to see Supriya and Harlow in so much pains, with every part of their bodies swelling like orange, blood never stopped gushing out from their ears, mouths and nostrils.
“What the hell did you do them?” Queen Anjali asked.
“Giving them a taste of their own medicines. Since they want to play with poison so badly, I just gave them one to play with” Cheng said.
“Are you trying to kill them?” Thiago asked.
“They should give all the thanks to Tiana, because if it was up to me, I’d have killed them for framing Tiana” Cheng looks at Thiago, and he instantly went paralyzed, he couldn’t move or talk.
“What did heck did you to my son!!” Queen Anjali yells at Cheng.
“That is the price he has to pay for knowing the truth and refused to talk, but don’t worry Queen Anjali, they be back to normal, if I want them to” Cheng said, leaving.
“You demon!!!!” Queen Anjali shouted.
Cheng stopped walking and face her. “Call me a demon again and I won’t mind showing off what a demon really looks like, do you want me to turn you into a rat or better still a parrot since you know how to talk very well? Go ahead, call me a demon, or a cursed child like you used to call me” Cheng said
Queen Anjali instantly went mute.
Cheng shot her a glare and leaves the room, and meets Queen Vanya.
“Cheng” She said, and Cheng looks at her, somehow he didn’t feel angry when he saw her. At least she was the only one who visited him once, when he was banned from coming to the main palace ten years ago
“How are you Cheng?” She asked smiling.
“Fine” He answers. Queen Anjali tried to touch him, but Cheng snuggle backward.
“Are you mad at me too?” She asked innocently.
“If I was mad at you, I won’t have been here talking to you nicely”.
“Cheng… ”
“I have to go now, my bride needs me” He said and within a seconds, he teleported back to the cottage, and Tatiana was still sleeping.
Cheng sits beside her, and looking at her wounds, made him feel like going back to deal with Supriya and Harlow, including Thiago too.
He sits beside her, caressing her long hair, and as his eyes met with her wounds, they closed up instantly.
“I’m sorry my bride” He muttered kis-sing her forehead.

⟨ NEXT DAY ≈ MARCELLUS’S HOUSE ⟩
Swati barged inside Marcellus’s room when she overheard him talking to physician who came all the way from succie’s kingdom to check up on him.
“Did I heard you correctly?” She asked as tears falls down her eyes.
“About what?” Marcellus asked.
“You said a certain girl named Tatiana who works in the palace was almost killed last night, is that true?” Swati asked again.
“Yes but…”
Before Marcellus could finished his statement, Swati leaves the room.
“I’ll be right back” He said to his physician and went after Swati. He caught up with her, holding her.
“Where do you think you are going?” He asked.
“I have to see if my best friend is okay” Swati said with a crying voice, trying to leave, but Marcellus held her again.
“Let go of me Marcellus!!!”
“I don’t know how that Tatiana girl became your best friend, but you won’t be able to see her if you go to the palace, because she is just a maid there” Marcellus said and Swati broke into tears, making Marcellus furrowed his eyebrows.
“I warned her about the danger of working in the palace, but she didn’t listen, all because of she wants to see Cheng again”.
“Cheng? The one possessed with the power of a demon?” Marcellus asked.
“Yes. She loves him so much, and I’m afraid of what he will do to her” Swati said crying.
“He was actually the one who saved her from dying last night”.
“Really?”
“That what I heard from the maids when I went to tutor Jai early today”.
“Is Tatiana okay” She asked with a worried voice.
“I don’t know, I didn’t asked” Marcellus said.
“Can you help me check if she is okay, she is the only friend I have”.
“Fine. if I go to the palace tomorrow, I’ll ask about her” Marcellus said and Swati started crying again.
“Why are you crying? I thought I just said I was going to help you find out if your best friend is okay”.
“I can’t help it Marcellus, my best friend almost died and I couldn’t do anything to help her” She said increasing the volume of her cry, Marcellus sighs, before pulling her into a hug, consoling her.

⟨ SAME DAY ≈ COTTAGE ⟩
Tatiana slowly opened her eyes, looking around the place she was in, and she discovered she is still in the cottage. She smiles when she saw her wounds were already healed.
Tatiana heard footsteps from outside, and she quickly rushed out, thinking it was Cheng, since Cheng was not inside the cottage, but the smile she has on her face disappeared, when she saw it was Waylon and not Cheng.
“What are you doing here, your highness?” She asked.
Waylon walked up to where she was and grabbed her wrist, forcefully taking her away.
“Let me go! Where are you taking me?”
“Back to the palace Tatiana, because you don’t belong here”.
“I want to stay here with Cheng, so let go of me” Tatiana said trying to take her hand from him, but Waylon held her tightly, dragging her to go with him forcefully.
“Let go of my bride’s hand” Cheng said from behind, and both Tatiana and Waylon turns to look at him.
“Cheng” Tatiana muttered his name, trying to go to him, but Waylon held her tightly.
“She is mine Cheng, and I’m taking her from you” Waylon still holding Tatiana’s wrist tightly.
Cheng looks at Waylon’s hand that were on Tatiana’s, he raised his eyebrows, and Tatiana magically flew to where he was, Cheng caught her, wrapping his hands around her slender waist.
“She is mine and mine alone” Cheng said and kis-sed her, and Tatiana smiles, kis-sing him back, with her hands wrapped around Cheng’s neck.
Waylon’s head spinned as he watched them kis-sing pa-ssionately, he staggered and fell to the ground.
