Episode 7
Jolene was already in the set with her people.
“Oh goddess Jolene you are so beautiful….” the makeup actist teased.
“aww…stop teasing me…” Jolene smiled, one of her worshippers came to whisper something in her ears.
“Hmmm….looks like the little mosquito decided to show up….” Jolene face darkened.
“She brou-ght her bodyguard too” the girl said
“Who said he’ll be her bodyguard for long??……, he’ll be by my side soon….” she said.
Leon was in a lite t-shirt….his muscles where showing…..he was hot….just too hot…I felt my eyes burning with desi-re….
Leon saw how this little girl was busy eyeing his body. He smiled as her fair face began to blus-h.
“Kitten your eyes are burning my body!” he said but Gem was far in her imaginary world. She didn’t hear Leon talking. “Hey….hey….Gem!!!” she finally snap back to reality.
“Hmm….!!!” I said.
“You’re drowling!” he said pointing at my mouth. I quickly cleaned my mouth but there was nothing there
“Hey….there is nothing…..”I yelled. Leon laughed….this girl is so so cute and easy to tease.
“Let’s go….you have a scene today” he said. And hold my hand.
“Hey…hey…you…you can’t just hold my hands…” I said and tried to free my hands from his.
“Why!!!, why can’t I hold you…. remember the contract….I’ll do as I please” he said.
“No you can’t….am still your boss…..look am a celebrity what if people misun-derstood?” I cried and whine to break free.
“Fine…..”he finally let go. Leon smiling face darkened. why was she saying stuffs like that. He look at her and saw he red wrist….he had used too much for-ce…but why?, Leon couldn’t un-derstand himself….why did he suddenly feel bad when she asked him to let go of her.
“Am sorry….does it hurt?” he asked.
“No…it’s fine….am a bit skinny that’s why…it’s red….it’s okay” I said.
“Let’s go then” he said.
When we reach the scene. All eyes where on Leon. I was jealous…..it made me angry. What annoyed me more was when the director ran to us.
“Uhmm Hi Mr Leon” he said.
“Hi director…you know my body…….”
“Who doesn’t know this god himself……look Mr Leon…we have a deal for you” the director cut me off.
“Director I thought I had a scene today……hahaha”
“Sorry Mrs Gem but we don’t nee-d you today….Mr Leon…..we uhmm wanted to make you the male lead of the RMH film …..what do you say…..you’ll get the chance to act with the goddess Jolene….you too will be outstanding” he said. I thought Leon would disagree but I was surprised to hear him say
“I’ll do it…..so when are we starting” he said
“What…no…Leon” I yelled.
“What’s wrong with it….I’d love to act as a male lead” he said.
“But……. director…..then Jolene would be his lover and….and am just a third wheel?” I asked
“Yes that’s how it is” the director said smiling.
“Let’s go sir….we have lots of scene to act with Jolene” the director said.
“Hi Mr Leon….” Jolene came and hook her hands round Leon’s hu-ge arms. They started talking….I couldn’t ba-re anymore as I took a taxi to Ruth.

Ruth opened the time and saw me crying.
“Gem…w..w.what happened?” she asked and I told her everything.
“You won’t leave me too right?” I asked.
“I won’t….how could Leon…..do sure a thing to you…..” she said
I remembered what Leon told me that being near Ruth will only bring harms to her.
“I have to get going now” I said
“Let me drop you up” he said
“No….no am fine….” I left.

Leon was in the set reading the script when he noticed gem was gone. He looked around and decided to asked.
“Hi….you’ve seen kitten?” he asked
“Who is kitten?” the boy asked
“Oh sorry I mean Miss gem?”
“No…she left hours ago….”
“What….I didn’t notice”
“Mr Leon….let’s go on set” the director yelled but Leon too his phone and called Gem. surprisingly her phone was with him. ‘No’.
“I have to explain to her…..” he said and ran into his car….”No Gem you can’t leave my sight…..” he said….the only place she would be is at Ruth’s place. Leon drove to Ruth house and ran inside without knocking.
“Mr Leon….oh so you choose to leave the set?” she said angrily “How could you do this to Gem?”
“Where is she?” he asked.
“And why should I tell you?” Ruth yelled. Leon face darkened.
“She’s not here” he said and left. ‘Wait how did he know?’ she thought……that girl I’ve been calling her but she’s not picking up my calls.
“Gem….. please be safe….let me explain” Leon didn’t know why he’s feeling this way but he didn’t care….he won’t lose his cute kitten…never.

I was walking in the long road….full of people. I don’t know how long I’ve been walking but I know I don’t want to stop.
“She had everything…..why does she still nee-d Leon….dad….mom….where are you…..?, I really like him….God can you just please let him be mine….. even if Jolene is attra-cted to him…….” I started crying. I do have feelings for Leon but I am scared…..
I was still walking when I saw the road became dry and silence. I had a bad feeling about this.
I fastened my step….I could feel someone watching me and following me……I was scared.
‘Leon…..am scared…help me…. please come to me….Leon……leon’ I kept on calling in my head. Suddenly I started running. Looking back two men ran after me.
Before I could turn my eyes my body smash into the arms of strong man.
“No…. please….. please….., don’t hurt me” I cried and close my eyes as the arms grab me……………..

The man push me down….
“What do you want?” I said. But the man smiled….I was scared to death. This is not good. I tried to stand up but he drag my legs back and pulled me to himself.
“Let me go…..help……..help …… please…… somebody…… help me” I cried but he slapped me and punch my stomach….I cried in pains.
“Stupid girl” he whispered.
“Please…… please don’t hurt me…… please I didn’t do anything wrong……I swear…… please sir……” I cried as I drag my painful body on the floor trying to get away from him.
“Shut up…..” he said and grab me….his rou-ghhands hurt my skin as I struggled to break free……
“Let me go…..let me go…..” I yelled. But he but a dirty rag on my nose and mouth as I doze off. I felt him carry me on his shoulders……I felt helpless…..no one would come for me……maybe this is my end.

Leon called his as-sistant.
“rele-ase my special for-ce and find the girl I sent you her pictures” he said
“But sir we can’t…….”
“Just do as I say and make sure you find her….in 15 minutes if you don’t want to lose your head” Leon yelled.
‘Gem please be safe…..hang in there …. am coming’ he thought.
Leon drove to carry Kelvin.
“Dude what’s the faz all about?” he said
“Gem she’s missing I can’t find her and…….”
“I know but why did you rele-ase your special for-ce….. you only send them for people you care about……and…….hold on…..bro don’t tell me you’ve started liking that girl?????” Kelvin said and Leon hold the accelerator causing poor Kelvin who was not wearing his seat belt to crash his nose on the glas-s.
Leon felt uneasy inside.
*Wait…..its true??!!, you’re liking her?!!!” he yelled again
“No…..no way….I….I just pity her…..she not even my type” he said and even after saying that he felt uneasy.
Then his phone rang
“Hello….I’ll be there”
“What???” Kelv asked
“They found her….let’s go” he said and did a U-turn Kelvin hit his head over and over again..
Leon’s car drove with full speed. Kelv what his friend weird behavior…..he knew something was off……it’s either he like her and he doesn’t notice or he likes her and he’s afraid to let it show.
The got to an abandoned car wash. Leon spring out of his car.
“Sir….” the man bowed to Leon.
“Were is she?” he asked
“In the car…your doctor is examining her…..she have lots of injuries on her body just minor injuries but she’s in a de-ep sleep” he said and Leon frown and ran to the car. His doctor was treating her wounds. Her fair smooth body was now covered with injuries and some parts were red. Seeing her like this made Leon heart hurt. He sigh as he looks sad, angry and felt guilty. Kelvin studied his friend…this is unlike him…..there is only in thing here……he’s starting to like Gem….and he won’t let that happen. His cousin is Leon’s fiancee and even though she’s far away he won’t let another girl still Leon away from her.
Leon sat on the car and put her head on his legs.
“She was drugged….it’s a pain killer drugs what will help you not feel anything even when you’re dying….but don’t worry she’ll wake up in a few days” the doctor said.
“I don’t want scares on her body…..threat her well” Leon said and stro-ke her hair. The doctor nodded.

The second day Leon was at his office when he received a call.
“What??, she’s awake??, am on my way” he said
Leon go home in no time.
When he entered Gem room he stood by the door as they both stare at each other.
Tears gather inside my eyes and I felt relief to see Leon. I felt safe.
“Don’t just stand there…come here” I said but he didn’t move…his gaze was soft, worried and full of guilt. “Come here…..” I said and he walked slowly to me. I limp up and hu-g his ne-ck.
“What took you so long….. I thought you said you’d protect me….why didn’t you come immediately when I called your name…..Leon I was so scared…..I thought you wouldn’t come……I thought you said you won’t let harms come my way…..you promised…..but why were you late….I was so so scared……I thought I’d die” I cried and Leon stro-ke my back.
“Yes….it’s all my fault….am sorry….am here now and am never going anywhere…. you’re here in my arms” he said.
I cried for long before letting go of his ne-ck.
“Feeling better?” he asked still stro-king my back.
“My body ache me…it hurts” I said.
“It’s okay……Gem….did you see his face?” he asked…..Leon knew it was too early to asked…I should rest first but he couldn’t bring himself to relax and do nothing…when someone hurt his kitten.
Try to remember the face I shiver in fear.
“It’s too scary I don’t want to remember” I said shaking my head.
“Kitten….I have to catch him….and kill him with my own hands for hurting you….I won’t forgive him…. please tell me” he said
“Ok…..ok …..he…he has a scar on the left side of his mouth…..he….he is very strong…his face is so scary and….and……Leon I can’t” I cried.
“It’s okay you’ve said enough….rest now”he was about to leave but I hold his sleeve.
“Don’t go…..stay please” I said and he lye down close to me and smiled stro-king my cheeks.
After seeing she have gone to sleep Leon slide off the bed and called his as-sistant.
“You guessed right…he is the man…. capture him…..alive….and…..” just then Gem was having a nightmare.
“Uhmm no… please….Leon help me….no Leon……” he ran and hold her hands.
“It’s okay am here……I’ll protect you” he whispered and ki-ssed her forehead. Whoever you are, you dare hurt my kitten…….I’ll surely make you pay..
