Palace.
Princess Evelyn smiled the moment her maid told her about the arrival of Prince Charles, her Fiance. They’ve being together for almost a year now and it’s really working greatly between them. They love each other a lot and they will soon get married.
” How do I look Zara??” She asked her personal maid
” You are the most beautiful lady I’ve ever seen my Princess ” Zara replied and Evelyn laughed
” You sure knows how to make me feel good,,but that’s not true. Am not that beautiful you know? ” Princess Evelyn said with a smile
” Hmm,My Princess?? Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. You have a very beautiful heart,,, but you’re even more luckier that the God of Beauty blessed you with this face my Princess ” Zara said
” Oh Zara,,what do I do with you?? ” Evelyn held her cheeks which was red alre-ady
” My Princess,, we nee-d to go. Prince Charles is waiting,,am sure tonight’s dinner will be the best ” Zara said with a cute smile
” Yeah I guess,,but what do you think father want to talk about?? ” Evelyn asked standing up
” Who knows,,until you get there ” Zara replied
Evelyn nodded and walked out of the room with Zara behind her,,her dress was almost tou-ching the floor. Well life of a princess.
” Wow my love,,you look amazingly beautiful ” Charles said taking her hand
” You are not looking bad either ” Evelyn replied and he leaned closer before placing a k!sson herl-ips
After the short k!ss,,they both started their walk to the royal dining room. It was almost getting dark at that time.
Getting to the royal dining room,,they joined the king and the queen,Evelyn is their only daughter, the crowned Prince live in the states.
” Your Highness ” Evelyn and Charles both bowed
” You two are late ” The queen said
” We are sorry mother,it was my fault, taking too long to dress up ” Evelyn said and the king smiled
” You look so beautiful my Princess ” King Albert said
” Thank you father ” Princess Evelyn said and they both sat down.

” I will see you in the morning Princess” Charles said as they st©pped right in front of Evelyn’s room.
” Thanks” She smiled shyly
” Goodnight my love ” Charles said and gave her a pe-ck on herl-ips before heading toward the guest room with one of the palace guards behind him.

Princess Evelyn fell on the be-d trying ha-rd to keep the happiness she was feeling at that moment,,,
” Why is my lady so happy?” Zara asked behind her helping her with the lace of her dress
” You won’t believe it,,father want us to get married as soon as possible. Am I not the luckiest person in the whole world?” Evelyn sighed happily
” Of course you are,,getting married to the person you love and love you in return is really a great thing my lady ” Zara replied
” Thanks Zara,I just can’t wait. ” Evelyn said getting out of her dress
They walked into the bathroom together
” I don’t want to stress you too much Zara,at least let me do this myself,for tonight” She said getting into the bathtub
” If I leave,that means am leaving my responsibility my lady. You don’t have to worry about me,maybe I love being stressed ” Zara replied and Evelyn laughed
” Can’t get enough of your talks Zara”. Evelyn said
After taking her bath and helping her with her night wear and robe,Zara bid her a goodnight and walked out of the room.
Sighing out,Evelyn gr-ab one of the book on her re-ading table. She love re-ading,,mostly about different creatures which she doesn’t seem to believe exists in the real world.
Still she love re-ading about them,,
She la-id on the be-d and started re-ading the book,
” Gosh I wish I can st©p this wicked vampire,,how can he kill so ruthlessly? It’s a good thing it always happen only in novels ” Evelyn commented as she re-ad
She doesn’t know how long she re-ad until she sle-pt off.

Inside a large castle which look odd compared to a normal castle any normal person will think of,,
Alessandro rushed down the stairs and checked another room but still it was empty,,
” Not again” He muttered and immediately left the room going back Upstairs. He walked for few seconds and finally st©pped in front of a room,,he knocked on the door as gentle as he could.
“Alessandro ,come in ” A Tiny voice said and he entered
” Any problem??” Amber ,a woman who look like she’s ha-rd ly twenty years of age even though she’s an Ancillae( 50_300 in the vampire age rank )
” We have a problem” Alessandro muttered
” Tell me ”
” His Highness,,,disappeared again ” He answered
” What?!!!” Amber shouted

As Princess Evelyn la-id on the be-d feeling so comfortable,she suddenly felt cold,the wild breeze keep on b!owing all over her b©dy that she was about to freeze.
She opened her eyes and was shocked to see the window opened wi-dely,and besides the power was off.
” Zara closed this window last night,,how did it open?” She got out of be-d and walked toward the door
She closed the window gently as the cold midnight breeze hit her
” Damn,,it’s so cold”
After closing it up,she turned back toward her be-d but then she hit her head on something. It wasn’t ha-rd ,
“What’s happening to me?” She t©uçhed her head
But then the last moment she looked up,a red eyes like a flaming fire opened and she let out a scream
” Ahh!!!!!!!!!!!” She screamed and fell on her bu-tt
She rushed toward the lamp and put it on,,she covered her mouth with her palms in fear as she watched the inhuman in front of her. What should he be called? A monster??
He have very long and sharp fangs,she couldn’t find neither his shadow nor his mirror reflection
‘ Is he a ghost?’ She wondered almost p@n-ting ha-rd
He moved closer to her
” plea-se don’t move closer,,plea-se”
The inhuman re-moved the hood from his head and she g@sped seeing his face,,,even though his eyes were still red,he was looking so perfect and odd at the same time.
And then it reflected perfectly to her,,she have re-ad a lot of books.
‘ It’s a vampire ‘ She said inwardly as her eyes caught with his canine tooth
” plea-se don’t hurt me,,plea-se” She pleaded in tears
And then he st©pped walking toward her which took her by surprise,his red eyes bec@m£ grey,his fangs disappeared and he was looking like a human.
He turned his back on her and she watched as he left the room throu-gh the wall,,she breathe out and pas-sed out almost immediately.

As Zara helped Evelyn the next morning,she noticed her unusual quietness which made her worried,she was also looking so pale,she decided to bring on a conversation.
” My princess,guess what was reported to the king this morning,I think your novel fantasies are coming to pas-s ” Zara smiled and Evelyn looked up
” What?”
” Two Town guards c@m£ to the king this morning with a report of about ten people found dead in their different houses” Zara said
” What? What happened to them??” She immediately asked
” I couldn’t really un-derstand what was going on,,but according to what I heard,their blood was su-cked dry by an animal,obviously a vampire ” Zara explained
Evelyn stood up and fell back on the couch again
” A,,a,,,vampire??”

••Evelyn’s POV••
” A Vampire?” I chattered crazily before sitting my as-s down
Zara looked at me suspiciously and I looked away,,
No,,it can’t be the same vampire who c@m£ to my room right? It can’t be,,no it can’t,,
” My lady? What are you thinking about?” Zara asked and I cleared my throat
” Zara,,you can leave. I am going to talk to dad,,I nee-d to confirm some things” I said and stood up,,Zara watched me leave the room but I couldn’t say anything.
If it was the same one who c@m£ to me,,then why did he leave without hurting me? Does that mean I would have been dead now??
Oh gosh,,this is not happening. What if he comes back??
I tried not to look uncalm as i got to father’s suit,,the two guards immediately made way for me and I went in.
Dad was standing,obviously in a de-ep thought when I entered,he looked back and smiled
” Father ” I called and hvgged him
” What is it princess? Is everything okay?” He asked and rou-ghed my hair
” Zara told me what happened,,,did a vampire really attacked people in their house?” I asked wishing it’s not a vampire
” Yes Evelyn,,that’s true ” He let out a gr0@nand my heart skipped numerous beats at the same time
” But you don’t have to worry,,you’re safe. He wouldn’t dare coming here,,we have enough guards to take care of him ” Father said
Even though I knew the numerous palace guards wouldn’t be able to save us,I didn’t object. I only nodded.
” But father,,what about others? Maybe we really have guards to protect us,but what about other people?? What will happen to them??” I asked
He sighed and t©uçhed my hair again
” I am going to take care of it,,but firstly I have to make sure my families are fine. So don’t worry about anything as long as you’re safe” He said
But I am not safe!! Last night was only a coincidence,,if he come back again,He’s definitely going to kill me.
I nodded slowly
” Okay father,,I will leave now ” I bowed and walked out even before I could talk
A tear dropped from my eyes and I quic-kly wipe it off,,,
What am I going to do now??
I walked back to my room and locked the door,,damn I am so scared right now.
My phone suddenly rang out,like it something bad I flin-ched.
Okay now I am going crazy,,I sighed and took the phone. It’s my friend Kadence
” Hey little princess,,,are you home?” She asked immediately i picked the call
I rolled my eyes,,that’s just my silly friend
” Yeah,why?” I asked hoping she’s not trying to tell me she’s on her way alre-ady,I am not in the mood
” Can I come over plea-se?? I am so lonely ” She said
” No you can’t,,I have lot of things to do. ” I immediately hanged up
If I don’t,she’s going to succeed in convincing me. I shoved the phone somewhere and la-id on the be-d thinking about the vampire again.
I don’t think I was able to think for a long time when I sle-pt off,,
Minutes Later?

I was woken up by a call,,I let out a gr0@nand checked only to see that it’s Kadence calling,what does she want this time?
” Yes Kadence?” I gro-an ed
” Did you lock your door,,,oh okay I got it “. And the door opened
I sighed and shook my head
” I told you not to come ” I said
” Sorry I disobeyed you” She win-ked
” You have nothing to do,,let’s take a walk to the market” She grinned
I have no choice anyway,I immediately got up and changed my dress. After dressing up,we Left the palace not without two guards walking behind us.

••Writer’s POV••
As Lamia wandered round the market,,no one noticed anything strange about him. He was looking round and watching every moves un-der his hood.
He entered a place which was filled up with people,,it’s an apple sto-re,he watched as they go in and take whatever they want.
Even though he doesn’t know what it is,he took one just like others. He looked at the apple in his hand and checked what other people do with it. He saw them eating it and he took a bite from it
Yack!
He immediately spit it out and return the apple where he took it and turned to leave,, but the man who owns the apple sto-re gr@bb£d him. Lamia turned back staring at the man’s hand,,
” How dare you think you can just come here and eat my apple without paying?? Pay for the apple” The man demanded
Lamia didn’t say anything,he was only staring at the man’s hand that was still on him.
The man pu-ll-ed him more closer and gr@bb£d his shoulder,,some people were gathering to watch them alre-ady.
” Are you deaf and dumb at the same time?!!! Give me my money now!!!” The apple seller yelled angrily as Lamia wasn’t saying a word
Lamia’s fangs was coming out alre-ady even though he was trying ha-rd not to show himself to the multitudes around but he couldn’t help it,,
” Hey,,what is happening here!” A tiny voice spoke up from the back
” It’s princess Evelyn”
” The princess is here”
The people around murmured and Lamia looked up at the person with the voice,,it’s her again.
Almost immediately,his fangs disappeared and he felt weak,,,he nee-ded blood.
” This guy here,,,ate up my apple and refused to pay ” The apple seller answered
” Is that enough reason to handle him r0ûghly?? Let him go,,am gonna pay” Princess Evelyn said and the man let go of Lamia
Evelyn paid and turned to Lamia who haven’t moved an itch
” Hey are you hungry?? Do you want more??” She asked him trying to see his face from the hood
He didn’t reply,,but there c@m£ a cold breeze from nowhere which blew all around,,it was so ha-rd that everyone fell on their knees
Lamia’s hood re-moved from his head and Evelyn g@sped seeing his face and then he disappeared right in front of her before everyone recovered from the breeze.
“Ahh!!!!!!!!!!!!” Evelyn screamed out
” My lady are you okay?”
” What’s wrong?” Kadence asked
But then,,she pas-sed out
” My lady!!!!” The guards shouted and immediately gr@bb£d her before she landed on the ground.
