“Will you do as i say or do i have to tell Gerald?” John asked, waiting for a response from her.
“I will do as you say” She replied as she stood still.
John took some tissue and began to use it to wipe her face, surprising her by this gesture.
“I can do it myself” She said, as she tried to take the tissue but he stopped her from doing so.
“Just stay still” He said, and she did as he instructed.
“Start explaining”John demanded.
“Must i tell you here? Jenna and Gerald might return and…..”
“Take me somewhere private for this disscussion, cause i won’t leave until have got an explanation. You said you wanted an holiday and i was even feeling bad for having signing you into Gerald company when you were on your holiday but it turns out that you are playing nanny and that happens to be at Gerald home and what’s with your get up. Jenna might have been totally fooled but i don’t buy it one bit” He said.
“Fine then. Come with me” She said, as she left the dinner room, heading out to the garden where she knew it would be private for the both of them.
She told him about Fiona and the reason why she is here.
“So you’re hiding the fact that you are Ara just so Gerald won’t prevent you from meeting your daughter?” John asked and she nodded.
“It’s the only thing i could think of. She’s been separated from me for years. Not once did i stop thinking about her. I know the image you’ve created for Ara and it will all be destroyed if people gets to know about my daughter and that’s why I created another identity. When i get to have my daughter trust and love, i will tell her the truth and i will also come clean to my fans.” Arabella explained.
“But this will affect your contract with Gerald company. You have to go there as Ara and not like this. What will you do?” He asked.
“I will just have to do it. I will be Ara at his company, and as Bella in his home. I can certainly make it work as long as you help me” She said hopefully.
“You know that am just the director of the company. The higher ups won’t like it if they find out” John said.
“But they won’t find out. There’s no way that they will find out unless you say something”
“My li-ps are sealed and am not a blabber mouth and most importantly i admire you for taking this step to be with your daughter” He said suddenly, and that got her staring at him.
“It’s a bold move but also a dangerous one. If Gerald gets to find out the truth, he might cancel the project and prevent you from seeing fiona again” John said to her.
“That’s why am bent on winning fiona’s love and it’s just a two weeks thing with Gerald company. I will be done with that as……”
“And who told you that your signing with Gerald company will just be for two weeks?”John asked interrupting her.
“But that’s what Nina told….when exactly will it end?” She asked looking a bit suspicious.
“You will be working with Gerald company for a year”
“What? I signed the contract thinking that i will only be working with him for two weeks”
“You didn’t read the contract before signing it right?” John asked, and she nodded remembering the quick way she signed the docu-ment without reading them.
“So i have to work with them for a year?” She asked, as she realised her mistake.
“You will have to, that’s how long they get a new model” John replied.
“I think you should just quit here and tell Gerald the truth……”
“No! I won’t lose the chance of being with my daughter. It’s either this or nothing” She replied fiercely.
“Fine then. Stay and do your thing but when it gets tough for you. Just quit it all and remember that am here for you” John supplied.
“Thanks John. I think it’s time for me to go back” She said, as they both went back in.
“Fiona is a spoilt brat. I should have just hit her to make myself feel better”Jenna said talking on the phone, as they both walk into the room.
“Gerald got rid of my anger by promising me that he won’t let the girl have that hideous snake with her. Isn’t he just wonderful??. He will certainly be the perfect husband for me.” Jenna continued, without noticing them by the door way.
“I told her back then not to take in a bástard child. Now she is gone leaving all of the burden on Gerald. The brat acts like the real child, but someday i will let her know how wrong she is in thinking that she is the…….I will call you back mom” Jenna said on seeing Arabella and John.
“You shouldn’t have ended the call” Arabella said feeling angry.
“Having John listening to my conversation, is as different as having the nanny doing that” Jenna scoffed.
“Then i will gladly leave you to continue” Arabella said, as she turned to leave but then she stopped to stare at her.
“A little bit of advise Mrs Jenna. You need to show Fiona more love. She will be the one to determine if you end up with her uncle. She might be a bastard like you’ve said but she is love by him and am sure that he won’t have someone who dislike his niece In his life. Have that in mind before trying to get your hands on him” Arabella said infruiating Jenna.
“Who the héll does she think she is?”Jenna asked, as she watched her walk off.
“Let’s just go. Have seen enough for a night” John said as he pulled Jenna out of the house.

Arabella was heading up to fiona’s room, when she recalled something jenna had said a while ago.
Going back downstairs, she went to gerald’s study where she knew he would be.
“If you are here to talk about fiona, i suggest you leave it until tomo……”
“She didn’t do it on purpose” Arabella began softly.
“And how are you so sure about that?” He asked.
“That’s because i can feel her sincerity. She had taken the bag to give it to Jenna to play a prank on her but she didn’t know the snake was in there. You’ve been with her for a long time now, you should know when she plays a prank or not” Arabella said.
“Lucy was given to her by my sister and ever since then she has treasured the snake using it as all sort just to get rid of her nanny or my girlfriend. Jenna is not her favourite person, so it’s possible that she must have used the snake to scare Jenna away” Gerald said.
“Using the snake was just for other circu-mstance but for this one, she knew nothing about it. I can a-ssure you of that” Arabella persisted.
“I don’t need your a-ssurance. What i want is you to do is to take care of her. Don’t meddle in this. It’s between me and my niece” Gerald said.
“I can’t believe that you chose to take your girlfriend’s side instead of taking your niece” Arabella said without thinking of the consequence.
“Jenna isn’t my girlfriend”
“Really? But she keeps on acting that way and besides you aren’t even stopping her. Seems like you like it too” She said, wanting to upset him and that did work because he stood up from his desk.
“Have you been keeping tabs on me?” He asked as he moved towards her while she stood still.
“You are not the one i am here to take care of sir” She replied, even as he stood right in front of her.
“Are you feeling bothered by my being close to Jenna?” He asked.
“Why would i be bothered? Am only here to ask you to give back…..what are you doing??”She asked, as he pulled her towards him.
“Trying to see if you are as immune to me as you’ve claimed” He said, moving her towards the wall.
“This isn’t right sir” Arabella said, getting a bit flushed due to his nearness.
“You coming in here to demand something from me rudely is right?” He asked, as he bent towards her.
“If you do anything to me. I will scream this house down” She threatened.
“Go ahead and try it” He replied, as he kept moving close to her.
“I mean it. I will scream out loud and…..” She stopped, when he ki-ssed her shut.
She tried moving out of his arms but only ended up moving straight into his arms. She knew he was punishing her for being rude to him, but somehow she found herself enjoying the ki-ss.
She was about to curl her arms around him, when he ended the ki-ss jolting her back to reality.
“Do you still intend to scream the house down?” He asked, and she pushed him away maintaining her distance.
“How dare…..”
“You can quit if you don’t like it but let me tell you that if you are rude to me again. You will be punished like this, and i mean it” He said cutting her off.
“Have no worries sir. I won’t be rude to you again” She replied.
“To avoid me ki-ssing you??” He asked.
“Yes! You might think you are God’s gift to women but to me you are just a cold jérk!” She said infuriating him
“You are going too far Bella” He warned.
“Then punish me again” She dared him, and when he began to walk towards her.
She ran out of the study quickly. She got to fiona’s room, only to see the girl crouched in front of the door, crying.
“Fiona. It’s going to be okay” Arabella said as she crouched in front of her.
“Leave me alone” Fiona replied.
“I spoke to your uncle and he has promised to return lucy to you tomorrow” Arabella lied, and fiona stared at her with a smile on her face.
“Really?” She asked
“I never promised her that” Gerald said behind them.
“Were you just lying to me?” Fiona asked, as she turned angry eyes to Arabella.
“The thing is Fiona i…..”
“She gave you a false promise. I have no intention of giving you the snake, until you realise your mistake” Gerald said interrupting Arabella.
“Stop patronising her. She is still sad about the whole thing” Arabella said, as she went towards him.
“That’s why am here to talk some sense into her” Gerald said, and quickly Arabella stood in front of fiona, hiding her from Gerald.
“Just let her be” Arabella said, but fiona moved away from Arabella.
“You are cruel! I háte you. I háte you both” She yelled at Gerald and also at Arabella, before running downstairs again.
Arabella turned to leave too, and was heading downstairs when her leg sli-pped and she fell down the rest of the stairs.
The last thing she remembered before sli-pping into oblivion, was gerald running towards her with a look of concern on his face.
