“I’m sorry,i really nee-d to go”the masculine voice said and left.
So short,he always kept her hanging,not completing what he started,always giving her short k!sses.She bit her downwardl-ips and sighed.
“Did you guys fight again!”Her best friend Sandra comes into the room she was.Mabel nodded
“Would you guys learn how to take things easy”Sandra complained
“It’s not my fault Sandra”Mabel said raising her brows to her friend. “He keeps talking about work here and there,we were gisting as lovers here and he got a call from work,i tried to st©p him by shouting and fighting,but instead he gives me his usual short k!ss,leaving me to wonder if he actually knows how to k!ss”
“You are lucky he gives you a k!ssto shut you up.Isnt that ro-mantic”Sandra said blinking her eyelashes every second like a cartoon.Mabel smiled and looked towards the direction Tega went.That was her fiancée for you.Always obsessed about work.
She had thought she would really spend time with him today but she has been wrong,something was more important to Tega and that was his job.
“You really look cute in this picture”Sandra took a frame from the be-d placed nearby
“Thanks Sandra”Mabel replied as she collected the frame from Sandra,it was her and Tega in the frame,they had collected best couple of the year about two weeks ago at their prom night.She really looked cute in the picture,but the mist handsome was Tega,an epitome of modern taste.
“Aren’t you gonna pu-ll off that short you’re are wearing and get dressed”Sandra said
“Dressed?”Mabel asked
“Yeah to get your wedding dress at that sto-re.The woman called me yesterday to tell us our appointment has been fixed this evening.I informed you right?”
“Oh.oh.yes you did”She recalled
“Seems a lot have been going throu-gh your mind”
“You can say that again”Mabel said pu-lling off her bu-mper Short off.
“gr-ab me a nice trou-ser there”she said to Sandra who dragged a purple trou-ser from the hanger in the room and threw it to Mabel

“Thanks”Mabel said putting her legs in the trou-ser.

The car drove into the’Maddys bridal sto-re’and Mabel drove to the parking lot.In 3min her car was parked,she and Sandra got down and entered into the building.Few people hanged around,the place was fabulous,so many beautiful bridal go-wns advertised on the projector,so many lights,shimmers and glimmers.They moved to the receptionist
“Hello”Sandra greeted
“Hi.You have an appointment today?”the receptionist asked
“Yeah.Miss Mabel Williams”Sandra said
“Alright let me check”the young lady said and scrolled,checking something on the computer in front of her

“Yes.”Mabel thought someone had called her
“…Bridal dress,4:00clock to 6:00″The receptionist re-ad out.’Oh’Mabel thought,she was only re-ading
“Go to the right,straight down.Hall number 4″the receptionist directed and smiled.
“Thanks”they chorused and made way to where the girl had describe-d.They saw the tag Hall 4 after walking for sometime and opened the door.The two ladies entered into the beautiful hall and looked around.
“Welcome beautiful ladies”a young handsome guy greeted.
“plea-se check the dress of your choice”he said pointing to hundreds of dresses in the Hall
“Are you the one here”Mabel asked him.
“Of course as you can see no one else is”the guy replied with a charming smile
“oow-kay”Mabel said doubting. “can you show us the best dresses here then”she told the guy.He scratched his head for 2seconds
“Sure”he finally said leading the ladies to the dresses
“This….”the guy pointed to a wedding dress,picking at random “..is very perfect for you because it brings out the shape of your h!ps your flat tummy your straight legs….”
Sandra used her palm to cover her chuckling mouth as the guy describe-d Mabel.
Mabel was getting annoyed by the way the guy describe-d her,although he didn’t t©uçh her but he was getting close

“Would you st©p flir-ting with my customers and get out of here Cyrus!”a matured female voice said.Sandra and Mabel turned to look at her.
“I’ve got no as-s mum”the young guy at their front said to the woman.The woman gave him a scorn.
“I wasn’t flir-ting with her…. was I?”he turned to Mabel and asked
Mabel squee-zed her face in disagreement to Cyrus
“Yes you were Cyrus”she said in a more matured voice which made Cyrus laugh
“Nice to meet you”he said and brou-ght out an handshake.Mabel stared at his hand and then at him again with a disgust look.
“Don’t dare to leave me hanging”Cyrus said
“And if I do?”Mabel asked
“I’ll we-t yourl-ips”he said with a charming smile l!çk!ng hisl-ips.Mabel stared at him for about 3second and the f0rç£fully gave him a ha-rd handshake
“Good girl”he said still smiling.Sandra giggled
“Cyrus get out of my sto-re NOW!”his mother shouted
“Mum easy”he said and moved to a chair nearby and sat down. “I still have 1hour break at work”he said.His mother sighed.
“Welcome to’Maddys bridal sto-re’ young ladies”
“Thank you ma”they chorused
“Who among you is the bride”Maddy asked
“She.she is Mabel Williams and I’m her friend Sandra”Sandra introduced
“Nice to meet you girls.i own the Maddy bridal sto-re”
“Nice to meet you ma”Mabel said with a warm smile
“She’s my mum!”Cyrus shouted from where he was sitting.Mabel and Sandra turned to look at him
“Leave my son with his trouble girls.Lets get to business”Maddy said to them and directed them to the go-wns nearby.They talked for some minutes and finally Mabel made her choice
“If you don’t mind ,if you get the chance you could come to my wedding”Mabel said bringing out an invitation card from her purse
“You should be an honoured guest”Mabel said handling over the card to Maddy
“Wow thanks”Maddy said going throu-gh the card. “Oh it’s after summer”she said
“Yeah.Its after summer,would you be able to make it”Sandra asked
“I pray I’m chanced”the woman replied with a warm smile “but if I’m not,my son might come”she replied and looked at Cyrus who was re-ading a magazine
“Might mum!it’s not certain”he said without looking up at his mum
“Okay.he will come then”Maddy said to Mabel.Cyrus looked up
“Mum I’m tired of attending so many weddings”he complained
“Your mother has a bridal sto-re so don’t get too tired when you get so many invites.So many people will come for yours too”
Cyrus shakes his head and looked down at the magazine obviously re-ading nothing
“You can come collect your dress the day I fixed for you”
“Okay ma.your account number?”Mabel asked
“Leave the payment”Cyrus said looking at the magazine
“What?do you know how much a wedding dress cost,especially at your sto-re?”Sandra surprisingly ask
“I said leave the payment”he said again
“Thanks Cyrus.But I don’t like to be a burden on someone.I’ll pay for my dress”Mabel said with an angry smile
“I still insist”Cyrus said standing up and putting his hands in his pocket
“Mabel he’s insisting”Sandra j£rked Mabel with a smile.Mabel maintained a straight face
“I insist Mrs Maddy”Mabel said to the woman

Cyrus checked his wristwatch.”I’ll get going too mum.Bye”he moved to give his mum a k!sson the cheeks

“Sure”he said and left Hall 4.In few seconds Sandra and Mabel also left the way they c@m£
When they got to the reception,they heard some laughter.They saw Cyrus leaning on the Secretary’s desk and the two were laughing
“I’m sure he’s flir-ting again”Mabel said to Sandra
“Well isn’t it ro-mantic”Sandra said blinking her eyes like a cartoon
“I hate when you do that”Mabel said and she laughed.They walked pas-s Cyrus and the receptionist and bur-st outside the mall.They moved to their car and hopped in.
It was a shock for Mabel when she started the car and it refused to start.There was nothing wrong with it before they left their hostel
“Gosh we are stuck”Sandra complained.They got down from the car and Mabel opened the bonnet like she knew what to do.She kept staring at it
“Confused hun?”Sandra said to her and they laughed
“nee-d a ride?”they heard the little familiar voice say as he moved close to their car
“Yeah.sure”Sandra said and Mabel gave her a look of disapproval,but she overlooked it and got into Mabel’s Cr to get their bags.Mabel looked at Cyrus,what was he feeling like?he always poke noses to everyone ones affair
“I bet you nee-d that ride cause you are virtually useless over here”Sandra said and approached them,then walked over to Mabel,closes the bonnet and with one firm hand dragged Mabel towards Cyrus

Sitting among the graduands Mabel eyes wandered around.If only Tega would come,she would be so happy,if only Tega could focus more on her,she would be so delighted,if only Tega would promise her that their marriage would be the best she would be so devoted.
But Tega hasn’t done any of these and their wedding was after summer,anything could happen before then,they could fight or break up,but the invitation cards were alre-ady out,almost everyone had it.
Summer was 3days to come and summer lasts a month,so she’s obviously gonna be married after a month.She closed her eyes and hoped this will be her perfect wedding
“Lonely hun?”Drake whispered in her ear.Mabel ignored
“Where has that fiancée of yours gone to?to sleep with cheap girls?”Drake whispered again.Mabel turned to look at him
“Today might be your last day on earth if you repeat that statement”Mabel whispered to him too with a stern look.Drake smiled
“This is where I know your true beauty..in a convocation go-wn”Drake laughed
“To hell with you Drake”Mabel said ignoring him again
“Best friends of the year….is…Sandra and Mabel..”The M.c announced,Mabel could hear Sandra shout her lungs out,sandra c@m£ to drag her were she was sitting as they walked to the stage where an award was pres£nted to them,they took pictures and Mabel could see her mum smile in the crowd but there was no Tega.After the award,they went back to their seat
Cyrus had just come in time to see them taking pictures he only smiled and he went to sit at the alumni seat has he greeted some old friends.Just like that they announced everything at the p@rty
When D.J Khalid c@m£ up on stage,voices,scream fill the air,it was an honor to see him at their p@rty
“Hello empire”He shouted to the crowd as they all screamed,standing u p,raising their voices

“Oh-my-God.D.J Khalid is hosting summer singles again this year”Mabel shouted.It have always been her favorite.It never made her summer boring and she was definitely going this year

Drake stared at Mabel,if she was going,he was definitely going too.He had been lvsting on her for long and no damn wedding could st©p him from achieving his dream
Summer singles was the perfect thing.It was a camp where by all the singles meet for silly games,shows,dinner,dance and so many things.It was just a form of hook up.I t was for one month and only for Empire university.
This made it the reason why Empire university have a lot of students coming everyday.It was totally becoming an Empire
