Starr’s POV▪▪▪
“am sorry Greg… am not in for any of this,” i stuttered…
“just tell me what your heart feels then, because i love you so much and am not gonna hurt you, you should know me too well by now,’ he said staring de-eply at me.
“it okay Starr, i will just let you think about this or maybe i was true you’ll never get to love me,” he said and i could see the fears in his face and how he sounded so hurt, he turn and was about but i quickly held him- by his wrist.
“there’s no point in hurting you and also hurting myself as well. I thought i will never get to love again but it all happen because of you. I thought this heart of mine was meant to love only Kendrick but i was wrong! sometimes things don’t always go the way we planned. I love you Greg but i think it was wrong to love not until now. I love you so much and that’s because i’ve already gotten over Kendrick,” i said in tears while he smiled then hug-ged me pa-ssionately.
“are you sure about his? he asked in a whisper when we disengage from the hug while i nodded.
“am very sure about this.. i love you, i love you so much,” i said happily, he carried me up, my feet wasn’t touching the ground as he swirled me around making me giggle.
“i love you so much and i mean every single word i said,” he a-ssured me while i smiled.
“i promise never to hurt you nor allow anyone to hurt you Princess. I feel so happy hearing that from him. I love him so much and am glad he feels the same way for me. Kendrick is now my past, he left without even telling me and am glad while he was away Greg was there, while he was away i was able to find a new love, new home and hope.

✨It a good thing no one was against my relationship with Greg, our parents approved of that and Sarah was happy for me as well, am glad she’s has gotten over him and was so happy for me, same thing with Tony. Everything seems to be going well and i appreciates God for that.
Mom told me about Tony and how he was adopted and she said she did her investigation but they only thing they couldn’t find was Maria, the woman who look after him at the orphanage- maybe she has a clue of what happen to him. I was surprise to hear the name Maria Lenzo, this was the same name Kendrick and his dad always talked about. Kendrick’s twin brother’s was once missing too. I told mom and dad everything and Tony was surprise as well.
“i can’t possibly be a twin brother to that grumpy ex boyfriend of yours,” Tony said while i laughed.
“he’s not as grumpy as you think and beside am not sure about that, am just suspicious and my instincts are telling me you might be his twin brother.. am just so confused, i guess we need to find Maria, i still have the old address Kendrick was once told me i don’t know if she still lives there or not, i don’t even know if she still exist,” i said.
let just hope for the best,” dad said.
“then why didn’t we look alike? Tony asked.
“it because you’re not identical,” i answered..
“…the first time i saw him i kinda feel connected to him but i just shrugged it off.. am fu-cking confused now,” he said.
…We went to see Maria but we were told she wasn’t living there anymore, we all felt like all hope is gone now but things later changed when Cole one of her old neighbor and a friend directed us to where she lives now. I was surprise when i saw her, she looks quiet old and she’s the same woman Kendrick told me about, he even have her picture and i wonder how he get that from. But why didn’t she tell them the truth at first, she only told them that Fredrick might be death during the fire outbreak that once happened. Now lots of thoughts keep running though my mind, am so confused.
I ask Maria everything and she told me all that happen, she asked about Kendrick and his dad but i told her there not here with us.
“It wasn’t my fault either. Fredrick was brou-ght here by Hannah and his named was Simon before taking him to the orphanage. I don’t know what later happen to him and i just told his family that he might be death or probably adopted. Am sorry for keeping this away from all of you,” she pleaded and i turn to see Tony who wasn’t saying anything. Sarah was seated beside him to comfort him..
“i guess i need a good explanation for this,” Tony stood up in anger but mom held him back.
“am glad you’ve get to know your real parents Tony and it someone you know already. Fate has it own way to bring our families together just they way we found Princess, you also found your brother and dad,” mom said to him.
“where are they now, they don’t fu-cking care about me, they are nowhere to be found,” Tony yelled.
“they care about you and Kendrick couldn’t stop talking about you whenever am with him. Especially your dad, he missed you so much and have always wanted to see you, that was your mother’s last wish before she died,” i said sadly.
“before she died..? she dead already? he asked, his eyes were already filled up with tears. OMG, did i just add to his pains i shouldn’t have tell him this…

✨It been a some months and yet no trace of Kendrick and his dad, i tried contacting him but his line wasn’t reachable, Sarah told me we can just ask one of his friends maybe they still have his current contact and we can get to tell him everything on phone. It a good thing i was able to contact Bryan his friend and he gave me his current number.
This time it was Bryan who called him and he picked up- it now clear to me that Kendrick might have move on too, it been a year since he left and he never for once care to call me talk more of picking up my calls, i guess he just want to be far away from me. Bryan told him that he found his brother but he haven’t told him is Tony. Kendrick insisted to know who his brother was but i told Bryan never to tell him that. If he really want to know about his brother he should come down to here to see him for himself.
I thanked Bryan for his helped after the call and he told me that Kendrick and his dad are coming right soon..
✨We were all having dinner and i invited Greg to come over,the house was filled with laughter and chatters but everything stopped when Kendrick walked in.. Bryan directed him here and am glad he came. Kendrick has so much changed and am glad he’s now a better man. He stood in shock as he watched us all, his gaze was on me they all time.
“Bryan directed us.. am confused now, are in a wrong place? Sean his father asked while i walked up to him.
“i miss you Starr, what a very long time,” he said while i smiled then hug-ged him. Mr. Sean seems so happy to see me while Kendrick was still surprised.
“what are you doing here Starr? Kendrick asked almost in a whisper.
“it’s Princess if you don’t mind and meet my family” i said while he looked more confused.
“i guess we both need to seat so we could talk,” dad said while i nodded…

Mr.Sean was so happy when we told him everything, he quickly walked up to Tony and hug-ged him, everything was so emotional, Kendrick was just seated saying nothing.
“this whole shit is just like a drama, what the heck is going on here? he asked.
“Tony is your brother, he’s Fredrick and you can confirm that by doing a DNA test,” i said.

I went outside and stood at the balcony so lost in my thoughts. Kendrick is back and if not for this maybe he wouldn’t have come.
“Princess…,” i heard this familiar voice as i turn to him.
“Kendrick.. hope you’ll get alone with your brother, Tony is also like a brother to me and he’s a nice guy,” i smiled while he nodded then kept staring at me.
“looks like you’ve moved on?
“and looks like you’ve also moved on… what the heck was wrong with you Kendrick why did you ever leave? you left without telling me and you didn’t even care to pick my calls back then, you’ve deleted everything about me. You left without a single words and it hurts so badly,” i said trying to hold back my tears, i don’t have to cry or show how weak i am in front of this jerk!
“do you miss me, i bet you still love me,” he smirk while i rolled my eyes.
“i’ve moved on…
“with Greg…? he asked mockingly…
“yes and i guess he’s far better than you because he values and cherish me, he never took me for granted,” i yelled, this time with much tears in my eyes.
“that’s the point Starr, you’ve always wanted him because of his money…
I didn’t wait for him to finish saying what he wanted to say, i slapped him.
“Greg is far better than you Kendrick, i guess everything happens for a reason because when you left i was so devastated, i almost got ra-ped at the club it was Greg who helped me, i was almost killed because our house was burn down completely and if only i was there i would been a death person. You have no idea what i pa-ssed throu-ghbut it a good thing Greg made me who i am today he was the one who was there when you left,”
“but you always choose him over me, just tell me the truth Starr, you’ve always loved Greg,” he yelled back.
“i was you i loved, i have always love you but you ruined everything and you left, and about Nica did you also go with her? where is she? what about the baby? i asked in a low tone feeling so sad about everything.
“yes and she have given birth,” he sadly then moved closer and held my hands.
“okay am sorry Starr, am glad you’ve found your parents and you’ve also helped me found my brother, am sorry let go back to how things were, i still love you and i don’t want to lose you, i left because i thought it was the right thing to do, but i still love you,” he said staring de-ep at me.
“you weren’t even planing to come back and if not for Bryan who helped us out you wouldn’t have come. This heart of mine that once love you so much was broken by the same you, am sorry Kendrick you have a family already, you’re now a father i guess it better you sets things right with Nica and be more responsible. I love Greg and that’s what’s important to me now,” i said..
“Princess! Greg called as he walked up to us
“i’ve been looking for you..” he looked at me then back to Kendrick.
“you look sad? he asked.
“am fine,” i replied with a faux smile, Kendrick stare at me one more time before leaving..
I quickly hug-ged Greg so tight and let out my tears.
“whatever it is.. just stay strong okay,” he cooed then patted my back.
“thank you so much Greg,” i smiled wiping away my tears.
…..Kendrick stood at the door as he watched them, his eyes were filled with eyes. He just lose Starr.. he lose the girl he have always loved ever since they were kid and it really hurts a lot. He felt so angry with himself, for leaving her behind- it was all his faults for letting his stupidity, jealously and hot tempered get the best of him. He thought it was just the right thing to leave so that Starr could realize that he’s the only one she could love, if only he knew this would happen he wouldn’t have leave without her but now he just have to accept life they way it is. Nica has already given birth to a baby girl and he have no option than accept the baby and be responsible.

Kendrick and his brother Tony reunite again ad they thanked Mabel and Edward taking good care of him until this age, they told him everything about his family and also visited there mother’s grave. It was a good moment for the two brothers..
Princess later got married to Greg and have a happily ever after…
Happiness is an inside job, don’t give anyone that much power over your life….
