Starr’s POV▪▪
I smiled when Greg took me home, it was nice having him anyway.
“thank you,” i smiled
“i should be the one to say thank you,” he said.
“i have to go now, see you tomorrow,” i smile. I walked back in and meet mom at the sitting room busy typing in her laptop.
“thank goodness you’re back Princess,” she smiled closing the laptop. I walked up to her then sat down beside her.
“so how was the dinner? she asked.
“it was fine,” i smiled.
“and you looks so happy seems you and Greg are getting pretty close,”
“he has been my friend for a long time now, we are just friends,” i said.
“i and your dad are making
arrangements for you at the company and we are planing to introduce you officially to the company as our long lost Princess,” she said while i smiled.
“thanks, you don’t have to bother doing that, am a nurse and that has been my pa-ssion, am glad Dr. Greg was able to help me secured a job in his hospital and am okay with that, i just want to live a normal live,”
“i know that Princess but we just want to make it up to you because we love you,” she said holding my hands
“i know we still have a lot to do as family but am just happy with my job, being a nurse! after all Tony is more experience and smart than me when it comes to handling your company,”
“yea Tony was well trained for that and am impressed with him,” she smiled
“you must be so tired Princess,” she said while i stood up.
“yea, i will just be in my room,” i stood up while mom walked me to my room.
“aren’t you eating anything? she asked.
“no..
am okay and what about dad? i asked
“he’s busy in his study room,”
“oh! i smiled.
“good night dear,” mom ki-ssed my cheeks before leaving.
I quickly freshened up and went to the study room, glad i meet dad busy with some files.
“Princess,” he called with a smiled. i walked in fully and sat down on the empty seat opposite to him.
“looks like you’re busy,” i said while he dropped the files he was working on.
“not too busy for my daughter,” he said making me smiled.
“so how was your dinner with the Bernardo? he asked.
“it was great,” i smiled looking around the room, it so huge, neat and beautiful.
“so how are coping here? he asked.
“it feels so good am happy being with you,” i said
“am so sorry Princess it took us too long to find you and i still feel bad for not being able to get justice for what happen to you, we still couldn’t find who actually did that to you,” he said sadly.
“what important now is that am with you and i promise never to leave,”
“i could still remember everything that happen on your tenth birthday, it was saddest day of our lives and we thought we have lose you forever, we thought you were dead and i almost gave up on you, it was your mom encouragement and faith that made me believe there’s still hope that you might be alive. Mabel was so devastated but she was the only one who hoped you’ll come back to us someday,”
“it not your fault we were separated and after all it been fifteen years who would still thought a little girl who went missing might still be alive. Thank you for still loving me even in my absence,”
“and thank you for coming back to us. I promise you never to let such thing happen again, this time you’re back to us, to stay and no one will try to mess up with this family,” he said, i smiled then stood up and hug-ged him.
“thank you dad,” i whisper..
The next day….✨
I had breakfast with my family, Tony left immediately for work while Sarah was giving me cold attitude, i thought we were cool with each other.
I was surprise when i saw a call from Laura, i thought she was still mad at me. I quickly picked up the call and was surprise to hear her cheerful voice.
” i miss you Starr,” she yelled happily while i smiled, maybe she has gotten over everything.
“i miss you too Laura, where have you been and what about your mom? i asked
“we need your help Starr, please can you come over to our place i will text you the address,”
“uhmm.. okay Laura am coming right away,” i said into the phone.
“am sorry for what i said to you, am sorry for everything Starr. Even thou we are related you’re still my sister, my very own sister i knew, am sorry, she said in a shaky voice.
“am sorry too for leaving you, i will just come right away to see you,” i said then hanged up. I heaved a sighed of relief, am glad Laura was able to changed her mind about what she thinks about me.
I took my bath and got dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a top. I combed my hair and packed it in a ponytail. I walked downstairs and meet mom, i guess dad was already at work.
“are you going somewhere? she asked.
“yes mom am glad Laura called me this morning, i have to go and see her,”
“but Princess, it not safe for you to go alone and to them,” she said.
“i know that mom! but Laura is still my sister, i just need to see her,” i insisted and mom later agree to it, she asked some guards to go with me including my driver.
“please take care,” she said while i hug-ged her.
“i will,” i whisper
I followed the address Laura gave me but on our way we were attacked by some hoodlums, i was surprise when they shoot my two guards and also my driver. They forcefully pulled me out of the car and hit me so ha-rd behind my neck making me lose conscious.?
Mabel’s POV?
Everyone is home and we are damn worried about Princess, she’s still not home and i called Laura to ask if Princess was with her but she told me they plan to meet up with her but she didn’t showed up, she even came to our house looking so worried.
“you shouldn’t have allow her go out Mabel, we’ve just found Princess and we can’t lose her! not now nor ever, what about our promises to her,” Edward yelled angrily while i kept pacing up and down in tears. I tried calling Princess but her line was switched off.
“what the heck happen to Starr? Greg asked as he walked in looking so worried.
The door bell rang and they Tony went to open the open the door.
“what about am daughter? Edward quickly asked Robert and some of the police men.
“two of your guards are at the hospital and one is dead, according to them Princess is kidnapped,” the officer said while i burst into more tears.
“what! how can this happen to my sister? Laura asked so worried.
“kidnapped! not again,” Sarah sighed.
“you have to do everything to find my daughter,” Edward said so worried.
“who could do this to her! Amelia was worried as well. Why will Princess have to suffer this way, who could be the person behind this?
“i guess i have a clue officer, you have to investigate about Mrs. Kate,” i said to them while Laura looked at me.
“my mom is innocent and don’t dragged her into this,” she yelled.
“but she once stabbed Princess, what if she’s the person behind all this i don’t trust her at all not after what Princess told me about her. Your mother never liked her,” i said angrily.
“but she’s now a changed person! She said sadly.
“i don’t care, all i need is my daughter now and you should investigate about her,” i yelled in tears.
“it okay mom, Princess will come back to us,” Tony comforted but i was still troubled. The last time Princess was taken away from me it took us fifteen years to find her and i can’t lose her now.
“we’ll work on this,” Robert said.
Sarah’s POV▪▪
I went to my room and quickly called mom, could she be the reason behind this! did she kidnapped Princess again! i sighed feeling so stupid for being her daughter. What did she need again.
“mom… i yelled into the phone when she picked up.
“where’s Princess?
“huh… what sort of question is that? she asked.
“Princess is kidnapped and i know you’re the reason behind that,” i yelled back.
“i know i don’t like Princess but am not behind her kidnapped! i know nothing about it,”
“mom stop fooling me, just release Princess! am giving you just two hours to do that or else i will tell everything you did to dad,”
“go ahead and do that am not afraid of Edward. You’re just so stupid to see am doing all these for you, i should have ab-ort you a long time ago, you’re indeed a mistake to my life Sarah because you’re nothing but a fool,” she yelled making more tears flowed down my cheeks, why is she always hurting me with her words, reminding me that am only a mistake.
“why will you want to side with Princess the girl you’ve so much hate. You’re turning your back on me all because of her and just remember she’s the bit-ch y one who’s trying to take away Greg from you just the way her mother did to me,” she yelled while i quickly cut off the call in anger.
“is your mom behind this? i heard dad voice and i was shocked to see him- did he just eavesdropped in my conversation.
“this about Princess so tell me the truth,” he yelled angrily while i stood in shocked not knowing what to say… Maybe mom was right. Princess and her mom always get away with everything…
