We arrived to the huge mansion and i feel so nervous. So this where i belong to? but why will i have to suffer this way before getting to know my real family. I and Greg walked inside and i was surprise to see Laura at the sitting room. I can’t believe she’s the first person am seeing here..
“you again! Laura half yelled while i stopped on my track.
“hi dude! Tony called referring to Greg when he saw us
“Starr,” he said happily while i manage to smile.
“seems you two are pretty getting alone now,” he said.
“so is your mom around? Greg asked while Tony nodded.
“Greg! a calm voice called while i turn and saw the woman. She’s my mom, she’s the woman i saw in the picture and also in my memories. I stare at her while she was also staring back at me, her gaze was fixed on me as she walked closer to us.
“where did you get this? she asked referring to the necklace on my neck. I can’t believe she still recognise it.
“you gave me this..,” i said trying to hold back my tears, i looked at Greg while he nodded with a smiled asking me to go on.
“you gave me this during my tenth birthday! i said while she gasped. Laura also stood up looking so shocked.
“how.. how…” she wanted to say something and i could say words couldn’t come out from her mouth at that time.
“yes aunt Mabel.
Starr here is your real daughter. She’s Princess and we were all stupid not to have know her all this while. Laura is just an imposter and she fooled us all,” Greg said to her while she smiled, her eyes were already clouded up in tears, she quickly hug-ged me tight, so tight that she don’t want to let go.
“you can go for a DNA test to confrim it better,”
“you’re Princess? she asked while i nodded in tears, i couldn’t help but cry. I can’t believe am standing right in front of my mom, my real mother.
“what’s going on here? am confused,” Tony said while Greg explains things to him.
We disengaged from the hug and she stare at me then back at the necklace.
“you still have the necklace… am so sorry Princess, am so sorry for failing you as a mother. I couldn’t even protect my own daughter,” she cried holding my hands.
“you don’t have to feel sorry, it wasn’t your fault,” i said in tears.
“what’s going on here,” a man asked, he was just coming down from the stairs with a woman who i guess to be his mother.
“Edward.. Edward,” Mrs. Mabel smiled then held my hand.
“look at this? she said pointing at the necklace on my neck while he looked surprised.
“she’s Princess! she back to us,” she said in tears then hug-ged him.
“Princess is back.. but what about Laura?
“you don’t have to worry grandma, Laura just fooled all of us,” Greg said to her.
“come here Princess,” Mrs. Mabel said while i also joined them in there hug. Now i feel so happy having my own family back.
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I sat down so frustrated at the sitting room at mom’s place. She seems so restless when i told her Princess is alive. I shouldn’t have tell her this.
“Princess is alive mom but am telling you this not to kill her again because grandma Amelia told me everything,” i yelled at her while she turn and look at me in anger.
“you said Star turn out to be Princess, and you she was adopted by someone. Do you still think you will have Greg to yourself once Princess is back. I told you that wretched Mabel and her daughter are nothing but a husband snatcher, is in there blood that’s why Starr inherit it from her. I just want the best for you Sarah,” she yelled back.
“i know mom! i love Greg and am not gonna kept quiet about this. Am also not gonna tell anyone about the real identity of Starr,” i said.
“you better do so!
“but mom am not as heartless as you are and just know that if anything bad should happen to Starr i will blame you and tell dad all your dirty secrets,” i said then hurriedly walked out. I got a call from dad asking me to go right away. I wonder what’s happening this time!
I arrived home and was surprise when i saw Starr and Greg. What are they doing here! i remembered when i saw them ki-ssing- what is she even doing in his house? are they having an affair? did Greg like that much… lots of thoughts kept running throu-ghmy mind. I love Greg and am not gonna share him with anyone!
“Sarah! Greg called while i smiled then walked up to them.
“your sister is back to us. Princess is here with us,” Mom Mabel said while i stood speechless as i stare at Starr. How did they even know this? did they read her dairy?- i was thinking of keeping this a secret and now my plans are ruined! i turn to Laura who was already in tears.
“am sorry, i thought this was the best opportunity to get enough money for my mom after my father’s dead,” she cried while i rolled my eyes.
“you fooled us and you just expect us to forgive you just like that. I guess it’s better we have you arrested,” I spoke angrily at her.
“please don’t do that, am sorry,” she pleaded in tears.
“no Sarah! i understand Laura, please forgive her for that she’s still my sister,” Starr said while i rolled my eyes.
“but she fooled us! what if she succeeded with her plans,” i yelled at Starr.
“it okay Sarah, i understand you. But i guess Starr is right,” Mom Mabel said while i frowned. Now Princess is back and everyone will be taking her side.
“did you know they implication of what you did? i guess it better you leave this house before we have you arrested,” dad said while i nodded.
“i know and am sorry for everything. Am willing to go back to my mom after all,” she said.
“our house has completely burned down Laura i don’t know what happen but all our things are gone,” Starr said while Laura seems surprise to hear that.
“what! how did it even happen? Mom Mabel asked.
“i have to go,” Laura said then quickly rushed upstairs to get her things i guess, i can’t believe they even spend much to buy her new cloths..
▪▪Starr’s POV▪▪
Laura was about to leave when Mrs. Mabel stopped her to gave her a cheque.
“i guess this will help you a lot and your mom and thank you for taking care of Starr when she was with you,” she said while Laura nodded then collect the cheque from her.
“thank you,” she said then walked outside while i followed her.
“Laura! i called..
“how did you know the whole truth? she asked.
“and why did you keep the truth away from me? i asked
” i guess it’s better i leave..
“but we have no house to live in again.. i will still plead with them so you can stay with me here,” i said.
“am going to mom’s place and beside i don’t need your help Princess or Starr or whatever you call yourself now! just know that you’re the reason why my family has turn out this way and that won’t change the hatred i have for you now,” she said then turn to leave but i held her back.
“please Laura just stay with me here i will talk to them but just know am not a bad luck as you think, it wasn’t my fault your father found me! i said trying to hold back my tears.
“i have nothing to left to discus with you Starr,” she yelled then hurriedly walked out. I sighed as i watch her leave- this wasn’t what i wished for! and why was she angry with me, i should be the one angry because she keep the whole truth away from me i just want to have the old Laura back as my sister….
▪Laura’s POV▪▪
I arrived at mom’s place and gave her the cheque Mabel gave me.
“this money isn’t enough! she yelled while i sighed.
“but mom you should happy this woman gave me this money despise the fact that they all knew i fooled them, what if they have me arrested!
“they will never do that because Starr will never allow that,” she said
“and why will you have to burned down our house, they house dad suffered had to build! i asked in anger.
“i wanted to get rid of Starr but my men were so stupid not to have go in and check if she was inside her room. Starr escape death this time and but i won’t spare her,” she said bitterly
“look mom i know i don’t like Starr now, i feel she just destroyed our family and now that she have found hers she just left but please you don’t have to kill her,”
“but she was the reason your father died. Wise up Laura, Arnold is gone because of Starr. We lost everything because of her,” mom yelled..
“i thought you were for real mother, what are you up to now? i asked surprised. I guess mom will never change..
▪▪Erica’s POV▪▪
I can’t believe what Sarah told me. So Princess is alive all this while. I quickly called Max to unleash my anger on him, he couldn’t’ even do his job well.
“am sorry Ma’am.. i thought she was dead because she lost so much blood at that time,”
“then you should cut off her head completely! i yelled.
“go and clean up your mess Max. Don’t allow me to get angry with you. You know how dangerous i can be,” i yelled then hanged up.
Mabel took Edward from me and Princess have to pay for that…i don’t care if they just find her. Edward and Mabel will never be happy not when am alive…
Later in the evening…✨
?Mabel’s POV?
“am happy she’s back to us now,” Edward smiled while i nodded, i also felt so happy and complete.
“am so happy for you Mabel and Edward. Now that Princess is back i guess it better you keep it a secret from everyone,” Amelia said.
“i know that mom, am not planning to tell anyone about this yet because we don’t want to lose her again. We still don’t know the person who actually want her dead at first,” Edward said while i agree with him.
“you so much believe Princess will be back and am glad she’s here,” Amelia said while i nodded.
“yes even thou i nearly believe Laura was Princess at first i guess i was just desperate to see Princess anyhow,”
“i will just go and see how she’s doing in her room,” i said while Edward nodded.
I headed straight to her room and saw her sitting on the bed quietly, i wonder what must be going throu-ghher mind now.
“Princess,” i smiled the walked in fully.
“do you like it here? are you comfortable with the room? i asked
“this three times bigger than my room back then, you don’t have to worry i like it this way,” she smiled while i sat down beside her.
“i know you have lots of questions to ask us and we also have questions to ask, but we just want you to rest for now and also to feel free with us,” i said while she nodded.
“are you having difficult time to sleep?
“i think so… my mind is just filled up with lots of things,” she replied while i smiled then held her hand.
“when you were still here with me back then, i use to tuck you to bed and read bedtime stories for you, if you want i can do that now,” i said while she smiled.
“am no longer a kid now and am not used to being taken care of, i do things on my own,” she smiled while i stared at her i know she must have suffer this much and i miss her so much.
“you’re safe with us, i promise you this i will protect you this time with my whole life,” i said trying to hold back my tears.
“thank you so much..
“you can call me mom,” i said and she smiled.
“all throu-ghmy life has being miserable without a love of a mother, i never get to experience that,” she said while i hug-ged her in tears.
“you’re right here with me dear, thank you for coming back to us,” i smiled. She lye down properly on the bed while i covered her with a blanket.
“tomorrow we will get you all the necessary things you need,”
“you’re safe with us here,” I said caressing her hair softly until she later fall asleep.
I guess i spent the whole night staring at her, at her beautiful face even thou she look so sad. I don’t even know anything about my daughter?, i don’t know what’s bothering her but i promised to be close to her again, to know her better to know all that happen in her life and be part of her again. I swear to protect her even if it will cost my own life. I was still lost in my thought when Edward walked in.
“she’s asleep,” i said while he moved closer and sat down at the edge of the bed.
“she need some rest because i could tell she looks so sad,” he said while i nodded.
“whoever that took Princess away from us will have to pay no matter what Edward. Princess was taken away for such a very long time now,”
i said wiping away my tears while Edward held my hand.
“you know how much i love Princess and now that she’s here with us we’ll protect her with all our lives and give her the good life she truly deserves, we have to make it up to her for all those years she wasn’t with us, we have to make it up to her for all the lost years this time around no one will dare take her away from us, i promise you this Mabel, our daughter is safe right under our roof,” he said while i smiled then hug-ged him.
“thank you Edward, our family is now complete,” i smiled…?
