“thank you Starr but i have to go now,” i said then disentangle from the hug.
“you have to be more careful Sir,” she said while i nodded then walked out. I rushed outside and ask my driver to drive me straight to the station.
▪▪ “so it’s you,” i said angrily as i walked up to Derek with one of the cops.
“i have a clean evidence to prove you were behind what happen Derek,” i said as i removed Natasha’s phone from my pocket then show it to the cops.
“this are all his messages and threat, he planned all this and it a good thing Natasha told me everything before she died and one more thing, i recorded our conversation,” i said while Derek looked surprise.
“yes, when Natasha told me you were the one threatening her, i recorded our conversation even without her knowing nd i know this will be a good evidence. She told me about her son Damon and don’t you dare hurt the little boy,” i gritted my teeth in anger.
“and who are you to tell me what to do with my son,” he yelled back.
“don’t deny anything Derek because you might only end up ruining your reputation,” i said.
“or you might be the one to ruin your reputation, why are you blaming me for all this! he yelled.
“okay then, let see who will win this. We shall met in the court you animal! I snarled then walked out in anger. Today was such a long day.
I arrived back home feeling so depressed…

▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I waited for the girl to leave so i can go and showed this to her boyfriend.
It almost thirty minutes and am damn tired of standing here i was about to leave when i saw her leaving, seems like she’s leaving already after all it getting dark outside.
When she finally left i heaved a sigh of relief and went straight to her boyfriend’s room.
“hey,” i called, then stood at the door.
“who are you? he asked, i smile then fully wake in.
“you’re Starr’s boyfriend right? i asked.
“and what do you want here? he asked.
“to help you, to help you keep your woman,” i said
“and what that suppose to mean?
“take a look at this? i said then hand over the phone to him. He held a surprise face as he stare at the photo. I smirk-ed.
“Greg and Starr are hugging and who knows they might have ki-ss,” i chuckle.
“what are you trying to insinuate?
“Greg might end up stealing your girlfriend,” i said while he looked kinda confuse.
“look i don’t know who you are! but Starr is a good person she told me about his fiancee’ death, this nothing but just a friendly hug,” he said.
“friendly hug! did you just say friendly hug, well it all started like this. Greg is my man and i want you to warn your girlfriend to stay away from him,” i yelled at him.
“and look who’s talking, from the look of things it like you’re the one forcing yourself on him, yourself the desperate one here and not Starr and who knows whether it you who killed his fiancee’ just to have him to yourself. Look woman,
i know how to handle my woman, so keep your man while i keep my woman and don’t try to be the bad guy here or else i will tell Greg about your plans are! he said taking me by surprise.
“it okay do as you wish! but don’t be so surprise when you wake up one day and notice your girlfriend is in love with Greg, you will be so heartbroken. Well let just watch and see,” i scoffed then angrily walked out, this guy is something else.
▪▪▪ I arrived home back home late that evening, i couldn’t even talk to Greg and my plans are just ruined because the guy wasn’t cooperating.
“were you able to talk to Greg, how is he now? Mom asked while i stood up angrily.
“how do you expect him to be while he just lose his Natasha,” i yelled.
“calm down and why are you yelling at me, am your mother for crying out loud,” mom squeaked.
“why can’t Greg seems to love me mom, why can’t be love me back as before,” i cried then showed her the picture of Starr and Greg hugging.
“i couldn’t even get to talk to him, he’s always busy with that girl,” i sniffed.
“look Sarah, that’s what happen between me and Edward your dad, he’s such a jerk and he couldn’t love me back but then am glad i had my revenge on him, i was able to hurt him so badly, i took away something he cherish, i took away his joy and left him with that stupid Mabel to mourn. That the best way to punish your enemy, don’t just kill them but make them pay, take away the very thing they so much cherish. If Greg can’t love you back then get rid of the stupid person blocking ways for you,”
mom said in a rush, her voice was filled with so much anger and pain. But what did she mean by- she took away something dad cherish so much and she left him and Mabel to mourn. I was quiet for sometime.
“what do you mean mother? what did you do to dad and mom Mabel? i asked while she looked surprise all o a sudden.
“huh? nothing.. i hurt him so bad by trying to split him and Mabel but it didn’t work, that’s it,” she smiled.
“but you said you took away his joy and left him with Mabel to mourn,” i said again trying to figure out what she actually meant by that! OMG, hope is not what am thinking..
“you need to rest Sarah,” she said.
“mom did you have anything to do with Princess disappearance? i asked while she looked at me- shocked.
“what! are you now accusing me? she yelled.
“that explains all what you said to me, that’s the only thing i could think of because dad and mom Mabel so much love and cherish Princess back then, were you behind everything? i asked in tears, i hope it not true.
“i know i hate your dad for not loving me even thou i still have some feelings for him but i can never hurt the innocent child, Princess was innocent and how can i even hurt someone who denote a kidney for you. That’s pointless Sarah, how could you even think so low of me,” she yelled again.
“am sorry mother.. you just got me thinking with what you said. Princess is my sister and you saw how close i was with her, she’s my everything and even now i still miss and wish she’s here i just hope you’re not behind everything mom because if you’re part it i don’t think i will ever forgive you for doing that to my sister and also for hurting everyone feelings,” i said angrily then walked out on her.
“come here Sarah, how dare you think of that.. i can never do such thing,” she yelled but i didn’t reply back, i only rushed to my room upstairs. I just hope mom is telling me the truth if not what did she men by taking her revenge on dad by taking way his joy…? their’s more to what she said and i have to find out about this.
Greg’s POV▪▪
I sat down at the sitting room with Hilary beside me and also mom.
“Greg does it still hurt? Hilary asked referring to my arm.
“you need some rest Greg, just leave everything to me and your dad we’ll handle Derek’s case,” mom said.
“no mom, stay out of this. i will do that because i this between me and Derek,” i said angrily.
“but your life is in danger now,” Hilary said.
“i know that,” i stood then went to my room..
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I woke up in the morning having a bad headache, i recalled what happen last night- seeing Greg with Starr breaks my heart and also the quarrel between me and mom. I was lost in my thought when mom walked in with a tray of breakfast. I was surprise because i forgot when last she did that to me- like serving me breakfast in bed.
“breakfast is ready,” she smiled then kept the tray on table beside my bed, she sat down beside me on the bed.
“so how was your night? she asked while i rolled my eyes.
“it was terrible,” i mutter.
“it is because of yesterday?
“maybe,” i shrugged.
“please forgive me Sarah but i want you to know how important you are to me. I know am not the best mother because am not perfect but am badly hurt by what you told me yesterday. You were accusing me of what happen to Princess,” she said in tears, i was shocked to see her cry, it breaks my heart.
“i wasn’t accusing you mom, i guess i just didn’t understand what you meant by that,” i sat down then patted her back.
“i admit i was angry with your dad and Mabel back then but i couldn’t stoop so low to kill their innocent daughter, Princess was like a daughter to me too,” she said while i hug-ged her.
“i understand you mom and i know you can’t possibly do that but whosoever that is behind this will surely pay for it someday,” i said.
“okay dear, to lighten up our mood. Do you actually want Greg to love you back? she asked while i nodded.
“sure,”
“i gat an idea,” she smiled…

▪▪Greg’s POV▪▪
I was at Natasha’s big mansion where her mother lives and probably with her son too.
“Derek is in the custody of the police now and the court hearing will be on Monday after Natasha’s funeral,”
“thank you Greg, i will make sure Derek pay for his crimes,” Mrs. Helen said.
“grandma,” a tiny voice called and i turned to see the little boy, as he run up to his grandmother.
“where’s mother, isn’t she home yet? he asked.
“is this Damon? i asked staring at him, he look so cute and resemble Natasha.
“you still haven’t tell him? i asked Mrs. Helen.
“he’s just a kid, i don’t even know where to start, my poor grandson is now an orphan,” she said in sad tone.
“don’t worry Damon, everything will be fine,” I said to him as i squat to his level then hug-ged him.
“if mummy is not here, i’ll always be here for you because am your mummy’s friend,” i said while he smiled.
“really! he said with a smile while i nodded.
“what happen to your arm? he asked staring my left arm which has a bandage.
“oh, it just a minor accident,” i said.
“okay Damon, just go to your room,” Mrs. Helen Said while he nodded then left.
“i will make Derek pay and once he’s in jail i guess it better i and Damon return back to Switzerland and start a new life even thou it will be so difficult without my dear daughter. I have to take Damon far away from his damn father. Derek lose his right on Damon and i won’t allow him to ever set his eyes on my grandson,”
“Derek is such an animal, if only Natasha was smart enough to tell me all this on time, this wouldn’t have happen but don’t worry because i have enough evidence to sent Derek to jail, i recorded my conservation with Natasha before she was killed, and i will try to look for a witness,” i said while she nodded..
My phone rang and i was glad it was Tony calling.
“hi dude,”
“okay am coming right away,” i said then hanged up before leaving.
▪▪Sarah’s POV▪▪
I smiled when i recalled what mom told me- on how to win Greg’s love again, it just so simple and i hope it works out. I remembered that Hilary of a girl still lives with Greg family which make me more angry but i shrugged it off.
I arrived to the Bernardo’s mansion and i know for sure Greg will be at home, i walked in and i was surprise when i saw him with Tony by the pool side, they seems to be in de-ep discussion. Well that’s won’t stop me from executing my plans. At least Natasha is out of the way and as for that Hilary i know exactly how to handle her…
▪▪Starr’s POV▪▪
Kendrick will be discharged tomorrow i was so happy about it just that we didn’t get to see Dr. Greg ever since that night he left! I called Laura and she’s already on her way to help me pack some of our stuff, mostly Kendrick’s stuff.
“you’ll be out of here tomorrow,” i smiled, he was already sitting on the bed.
“am glad everything is now over,” he said looking a bit sad.
“but Starr can i ask you something? he asked
“sure,”
“are you seeing Greg? he asked.
“you always ask dumb questions Ken. Greg is your doctor why wouldn’t i see him, to know how you’re doing,” i replied not knowing where’s he’s heading to with this conversation.
“okay then, why were you hugging him? he asked while i was surprise to her that, how did he even know.
“huh! are you now stalking me? i asked.
“of course not, how can i even stalk you when i can’t even walk properly,” he said while i rolled my eyes.
“Dr. Greg just lost his fiancee’, i have told you about that and i guess he just need someone to talk to,” i said.
“and you volunteer to be the person! you’re so stubborn Starr. People are already suspecting you, because you two are quiet close already. Can’t you understand why his fiancee’ was killed just as you said, they might also kill you the same you she was killed. Don’t be so dumb Starr! just stay from him,” he yelled while i kept quiet.
“hmm.. i still don’t know why we have to argue about this ken, can’t you at least trust me,”
“i trust you Starr am only protecting you, if you truly love me as you said then stay away from that man. I will be discharged tomorrow, promise me you’ll never come back to him again, you’ll keep your distance away from him, a million miles if that’s possible,” he said…
“do i have to prove that to you? i asked calmly, my voice was low and my eyes were clouded up with tears already.
“yes and that’s the only way i will know you’ve not fallen for him,” he said aggressively….?
