Starr’s POV?
I was seated at waiting area with Laura beside me.
“that guy is so grumpy, i never knew he was Dr. Greg,” i said sadly.
“was he the guy you told me about? Laura asked while i nodded.
“what a small world but am not at fault! after all, he was the one who bumped into me so i have to defend myself. The fact that he’s rich doesn’t mean am the one at fault,” i said while Laura chuckle.
“what, you still have the gut to laugh when Kendrick is in there fighting for his life,” i scolded.
“you talk too much, you need to see the way you were crying earlier pleading with him and now you’re still not accepting your fault. You’re just too full of surprises,” Laura said while i rolled my eyes.
“you know Dr. Greg owns the Bernardo’s hospital and he’s so handsome and rumors had it that he’s getting married soonest even thou i don’t how true is that,” she said while i stood up.
“that his personal life Laura, i don’t care! am just worried about Kendrick,” i said sadly walking to and fro.
“he will survived this Starr, just have faith and at least cheer up a bit,” she smiled.
“not when Kendrick is in pains,” i said trying to hold back my tears.

I heaved a sigh of relief when i saw Dr. Greg coming towards us.
“sad and good news at the same,” he said looking us.
“how is he? i asked nervously.
“we just lost two people who were badly injured but the good news is that …. by the way who is the patient to you, are you his family? were are his parents? he asked. Is that really necessary to ask now? i asked myself.
“he’s dad just left with one of my friend, the old man was having a ha-rd time and we just have to calm him down, we don’t want his blood pressure to be high,” i said.
“are you his sisters? he said again.
“we are his friends and Starr here is his girlfriend,” Laura quickly interrupted.
“oh! i see,” he said with a small smile.
“sorry to say but he’s in coma, he has a broken leg and arm but he’s gonna be fine,” he said while i smile a bit, i was so worried.
“but Coma? when… will he be awake? i asked.
“not so sure about it for now, he need to be transfer to my hospital, at the Bernardo’s hospital for further treatment,” he said then walked away.
“what! isn’t that his hospital, that’s one of the biggest hospital in the country!
“Don’t worry Starr, Kendrick will be fine once he’s at the Bernardo’s hospital, all kind of treatment will be given to him there, i guess Dr. Greg only want to help us out,” Laura said while i nodded.
” it so sad to hear the other two people died, at least Kendrick is still alive,” i said sadly.

I was at Kendrick home to check on his dad while Laura rushed home to prepare dinner for us.
“so Kendrick will be transferred to the Bernardo’s hospital? Mr. Sean asked me while i nodded.
“this simply means Kendrick need a good treatment but i still have to get more money for his bill. I don’t know why things are getting so complicated these days,” he said sadly.
“you don’t have to worry. I will fix all these. I will help Kendrick to get better, i will settle all his bills,” i said while he looked at me surprised.
“you’re not longer working, how will you even do that? and by the way, you still have your family to take care of. Starr you’ve done enough for this family, am Kendrick father and i will do everything to settle his bills. We’ll get throu-ghall this,”
he said.
“but this isn’t compared to all the good things Kendrick did to me. Kendrick was the one who gave me life to start all over again since when i was a kid. Life was more meaningful with him by my side and i won’t let him sli-p out of my hands. I love your son and i will help him out maybe this the right time to also help him just the way he usually did for me. I know i can’t repay Kendrick for all the good thing he did to me but i just want to be of help, i want to help my Kendrick,” i said in tears, more tears flowed down my cheeks and i couldn’t help but cry the more.
“but you don’t have to carry all the burden yourself,
i will also help out. I have lost their mother and also Fredrick but this time am willing to do everything to make sure Kendrick will be alive for me and for you two because i see how much you both love each other,” he said while i smiled.
“Kendrick is not a burden to me! anyway i have to go home now,” i said then stood up.
“alright dear, it already getting late,” He said..
I, dad and Laura settle at our small wooden dinning table as we have dinner, i wasn’t having an appetite to eat but dad keep forcing me to at least eat a little.
“am full dad,” i said as i dropped the fork i was holding.
“so how is Kendrick? he asked while i sigh.
“he’s in Coma and will be transfer to the Bernardo’s hospital tomorrow, i hope he’ll wake up soon,” i said.
“you worry too much Starr, he’ll be fine,” Laura said busy with her meal.
“you just have to be strong Starr, i know it not easy for you and it also not easy for any of us. Kendrick was a good kid, am sure he’ll survived this,” dad said while i smiled.
“thanks dad, i also hoped so,” i said.
“and don’t worry because am also trying to fix my problem. I prayed and hope i will get my job back soon so i can help you out and also Kendrick,” i said.
“one at a time Starr, i don’t want you to stress yourself,” he said while i nodded.
After dinner Laura and i went to our room, i couldn’t sleep and i even feel so guilty for coming home right away, i should have been with Kendrick, to watch over him. I stood by the the window side remembering all these good moment i and Kendrick shared, i can’t just lose him, not now and not ever! I love him so much.
“please stay strong for us Kendrick, for me and most importantly for your dad,” i said silently as i utter a short prayer for him…

? I couldn’t help but stare at the large building in front of me, it look so large and beautiful. The building stood magnificent as Trump Tower stood in new York. A huge blue sign display the name of the great building on the top: *BERNARDO’S HOSPITAL* This one of the popular and one of the best hospital! The Bernardo’s are great people, Dr. Greg has really gone this far. I was so stupid to have spoke rudely at him that time.

“thank you Sir,” i said to him at the same time with Mr. Sean, we were both in his office, it looked really big and nice.
“it no big deal am just doing my job, to save lives and help others! that’s my pa-ssion,” he said while i smiled.
“thank you Sir, it really an honored to be here,” Mr. Sean said while i nodded.
“he’s at the ICU, you can visit but one person at a time and please you don’t have to disturbed him am sure he might wake up any time from now,” he said while we both nodded.
I slowly wake in and was surprise to see Kendrick, he has lots of wire connected to his body, he look so pale and weak. My heart was already beating so fast. I miss him so much.
“please wake up soon Ken,” i cried as i moved closer to him and gently touched his hands.
“i love you Kendrick, always know that i love you so much. So please wake up soon for your family. I wouldn’t take it if anything bad should happen to you,” i cried.
“we’ll get throu-ghthis Kendrick,” i said with a sad smile as i gently ki-ssed him on his forehead.
Sarah’s POV?
I was already set go, to visit dad but mom won’t just allow me to be.
“am spending weekend their, you know how busy this week has been mom,” i said so fed up.
“is that so? what type of daughter are you. Why are you always bent on going to your father’s place all the time or are you two conspiring against me? she half yelled.
“no mother, can’t you und-erstand the fact that staying here is so boring. Dad has ask the police to re-open Princess case, we need to find her soon,” i said while she rolled her eyes.
“it been fourteen years now, how can you find someone who’s death or are you guys going to search for her ghost or what? she asked sarcastically.
“and what if she’s not death? i asked while she looked shocked.
“how can you even recognize her, it a long time now.. you can’t find her after all she’s death,” she said while i was speechless, mom might be right, this will gonna be difficult.
“whatever! Just be careful Sarah. Princess will never come back again you guys are just wasting your time,’ she said while i just nodded.
“if you say so, i have to go! Take care,” i said then walked out to my car parked outside. I drive out of the gate, when i sighted a black SUV jeep with tinted gla-ss, it immediately stopped right in front of my car so i have to also stopped.
“and who the fu-ckis this? i grumbles as i came down from the car ready to face whosoever that is bold to make this stupid move.
A lady came out from the car. She’s dressed in a black leather jacket, black short tights, white crop top and of course a boot! she look so bitc-hy.
“Natasha! i said in a whisper. Am not too sure it is her but Greg has showed me her photo and i have seen it several times in his phone.
“hi Sarah! she giggle as she walked up to me with two of her guards behind her.
“and who are you? i asked rudely.
“Natasha, Greg’s wife,” she said with a small laughed while i got more angry.
“as if you are even married,” i scoffed.
“well it just the matter of one week… just one week and i will be his wife, well am not here for this,” she said folding her arms.
“am hear to warn you and make it clear to you that Greg doesn’t love you. You and Greg are done a long time ago. Am back from Australia to get married to my Greg and i don’t freaky care if you’re his childhood friend or his ex. I hate being in a competition and i don’t share what belongs to me and not to people like you,” she said staring at me as if am just a piece of trash.
“and one more thing i don’t talk twice, am not gonna warn you again,” she smiled then wink at me before going back to her car. I was stunned, so much anger was boiling inside of me. I wasn’t even saying anything, i raise my head to look at them but realize they left already, i left so angry with myself. Why didn’t i defend myself, i just stood like a dumb girl staring at her when she was blabbing that nonsense.
“i guess you don’t know who are messing with Natasha, i don’t know you but from what i see now i can clearly see throu-ghyou,” i said angrily as i get back to my car and drove off.

Later in the evening…✨
I was already at dad mansion, i called Greg on phone.
“what the heck was that… is Natasha with you? i asked, i know he seems surprise to hear me ask that.
“sure.. she came yesterday… is anything…
“she confronted me today, why was she accusing me Greg, what did you told her about me! i don’t like it,” i half yelled into the phone.
“what! when… am.. sorry Sarah i don’t even know what you’re saying and i didn’t tell anything to Natasha. Am sure you know she knew you already because i was once told her you are my friend and ex and nothing more than that,” he said from the other end of the line while i sigh.
“i was just so disappointed, am so stress out and i don’t want Natasha to add to my problems. She’s not the kind of woman you should marry Greg,” i said sadly.
“am sorry about what she did Sarah i will talk to her but please you have no right tell me the kind of woman i should marry or not,” he said then hung up. I was surprise to hear him say that.
“who’s was that? Tony asked as i turn to looked at him.
“huh.. nothing,” i said with a frown.
“let me guess, is it about Natasha and Greg? he asked.
“so you already knew about it! yet you’re asking me, you’re such a jerk Tony,” i scoffed then turn to leave but he held my wrist.
“what? i asked a little bit angry.
“am not in for any of this Tony, am just too tired and i need to rest, so let me go,” i half yelled but i was shocked when he quickly pulled me into a hug.
“if you need someone to talk to, am always here,” he said while i quickly disentangle from the hug and stare at him. There was awkward silent between us as we kept staring at each other.
“thanks,” i muttered then rushed to my room upstairs.
Starr’s POV?
I went to check up on Kendrick and i felt so relief, somehow i feel he will wake up soon, i feel my mind at rest even thou i wasn’t comfortable with the current situation Kendrick is. I was about to leave when Dr. Greg walked came in.
“how is he doing? he asked while i smiled.
“he’s just stuck to that bed, connected with lots of wires! it really sad to see him like this,” i said sadly.
“you love him so much.. don’t you? he asked while i nodded.
“if i have to risk my life, if i have to take his position right in that bed i will gladly do it if that’s will guarantee his safety,” I said while he stared at me then smiled.
“hmmm.. Sir.. about the bills…
“i will take care of that, you don’t have to pay a dime,” he said while i was shocked to hear that.
“you’ve done enough already…”
“please no need to drag this issue. I just want to help you both and i want to help you and your boyfriend so allow me to do that,” he said while i smiled. I can’t just believe Dr. Greg is saying this to me, why is he being so kind all of a sudden?
“are you sure about this Sir? i asked again.
“yes,” he replied while i smiled with tears crawling down my cheeks.
“thank you, thank you so much. Kendrick will forever be happy about this, i appreciate,” i smiled while he nodded.
“thank you again.. thank you.. A million thanks isn’t enough to thank you,” i said with teary eyes.
“oh! don’t get too emotional, i just want to help and who would have thought the grumpy and rude girl i first meet is now here and seems so nice,” he teased while i smiled.
“am not grumpy nor rude, i was just angry at that time but it was you who first bumped into me.. right? i asked while he chuckle.
“you’re still pushing the blame on me… okay am sorry, i apologies. So am i forgiven? he asked while i was surprise to see him this way- looking so cheerful.
“yes, i thought first impression really matters! i thought you were also the arrogant type,” i said while he smiled.
“i guess we both have bad impression of ourselves at first but now it nice meeting you again to know the real you,” he said.
“thank you Sir,”
“so are we are now friends? he asked while i nodded.
“sure thing,”
“thanks then…
i know it too sudden and i know you want to watch over your boyfriend every now and then but i hope you’ll be able to make it to my wedding,” he said while i gasped. He’s getting married.. Laura was right!
“come with me,” he said while i followed him behind and he took me to his office, he open a drawer and removed an envelope.
“this for you,” he said while i collected it from him.
“i hope you’ll be able to make it but if you think you’ll be so busy then it no big deal,” he said.
“congratulations Sir… someone like you deserve this and am glad you’re getting married, your wife is so lucky to have you,” i said while he smiled.
“thanks,” he said.
“don’t worry Sir, i will come for sure,” i said…. thinking about what i just said… going to Dr. Greg’s wedding.. is that a dream….!!!???
