Mabel stood at the balcony staring at Princess photo right in her hand, she couldn’t help but kept wondering if her daughter is still alive because, it a very long time now! she still don’t want to give up on seeing her daughter someday but then everything points out to her that her daughter is never existing again.
Mabel,” Edward called as he walked up to her then stood beside her.
“what are you still doing here, the celebration is about to start,” he said then stare at Princess picture in hand.
“i know how you feel, it still hurts a lot Mabel but sometimes in life one has to move on and be strong,” he said.
“move on… Edward we couldn’t even find any suspect about who did this to Princess. what type of parents are we! that we couldn’t even get justice for what happen to our only daughter. If Princess is truly death like everyone said, then we should try to figure out who try to kill her,” Mabel said in tears.
“we did that Mabel, haven’t i try enough. Princess is declared death already she might died due to the gun shoot, remember she was shoot,”
“i know but why do i still feel my daughter is still alive somewhere. Can you even her yourself Edward if Princess is truly death then why couldn’t we find her death body,” Mabel yelled.
“mom, dad! Tony called then quickly rushed to them.
“everyone is waiting for you. Remember its your anniversary,” Tony said while Edward nodded then walked away.
“mom.. what happen? is it about Princess? are you blaming dad? he asked.
“of course not, am just angry! am angry about everything and we couldn’t get justice for her. Edward isn’t doing anything, he also believe Princess is death already. Why am i the only one perceiving my daughter is somehow alive somewhere,” Mable cried.
“you look so beautiful tonight to cry, please mom wipe those tears. You suppose to be happy today we can talk about that later,” Tony said while Mabel nodded then wipe her tears as they walked out to the garden. It was a small but beautiful celebration, only Edward and Mabel business a-ssociate, friends, loved ones and family came.
“mom Mabel,” Sarah quickly rushed to her then hug-ged her.
“you’re all welcome Sarah, you look so beautiful tonight,” Mabel smiled.
“you look so beautiful too, but you don’t look happy mom? is it about Princess? i know you wish she’s here to celebrate with you!
“yes Sarah but am fine, am still trying to get over all this even if its not easy! let enjoy the party,” Mabel said with a faux smile while Sarah nodded.
The celebration was cool and Mabel was beside Edward all the time but all she could think of was Princess- if only her daughter is here!
“happy anniversary Ma’am,” Greg said happily and Mabel was surprise to see him.
“Greg, i thought you’ve went for the medical mission,” she smiled.
“not yet, am hear to celebrate with you. You know i wouldn’t miss this,” he said while Mabel laughed.
“thank you for coming Greg,” Edward said with a small smile.
“you can always count on me, this just like my second home and most importantly i miss Princess,” Greg said while everyone’s mood change.
“huh! am sorry for saying that, i actually don’t want to open old wounds but even thou Princess is not here, she’s still part of our lives,” Greg said while Mabel nodded trying to hold back her tears.

Edward and Mabel stood beside each other and Edward give out their vote of thank, appreciating all those that came.
“it our 29th Anniversary. The journey hasn’t been easy but God mercies kept us all moving. With the help of my lovely wife who has been supportive and also my son Tony,” he said while Tony smiled from where he was seated, he felt so lucky having Mabel and Edward as his parents, even thou they’re not his biological parents.
“even thou we lost our first daughter, we still hold on to each other as a family should do. Life will always want to throw you much problems but its determine by how to choose to carry it. I know somehow someday we will get justice for what happen to Princess,” he said.

There were a lot of food to eat and drink but when the party was getting over lots of people were leaving already.
“dad,” Sarah said with a smile and she walked up to him.
“Sarah, what about your mom! i thought i invited you both? he asked.
“sure dad. You know how mom can be atimes, she said she’s busy,”
“okay, so are you sleeping here tonight?
“no dad, i have an early meeting tomorrow at the company and i needed to work on something tonight so i need to go home,” Sarah explain.
“okay.. i will just ask my drive to drive you home,”
“i can do that myself, am no longer a kid dad,” she smiled.
“but you’re still my little girl if you don’t know,” he said while Sarah laughed.
“that sound funny,” she smiled then looked at her dad.
“dad, i saw how mom Mabel was earlier, she look so sad! her smiles isn’t genuine, did you guys got into an argument? Sarah asked.
“no! she was just sad and am sad too because Princess is not here with us. It just a normal thing Sarah, on a special occasion like this we couldn’t help it but get more frustrated about Princess disappearance,” he said sadly.
“i miss my sister too, if only she let the man shoot me, i should be the one missing and not her..
“don’t say that,” Edward said..
“i was the main target of the shooter dad, i was behind him while Princess was the person who saw him, she saved me again. I don’t know why she always have to risk her life for me and now she went missing which all left us with a wound that can never be healed. How can i ever forget Princess,” Sarah said in a cracking voice, trying to hold back her tears.
“it okay Sarah, the truth shall always prevail. We’ll get to the root of all this someday,” he said while Sarah nodded.
“i have to go now dad,” Sarah said as she hug-ged him before leaving.

“Sarah,” Greg called when he saw her leaving.
“i thought you’ll sleep here tonight! why the rush to go home? he asked.
“i have lots of things to do at home,” she said.
“uhmmm okay.. please take care,” he said while she nodded then quickly left with tears clouded up in her eyes, it hurts her a lot to know Greg is getting married to someone. She felt so angry and even wonder why he’s even being so nice to her, all she wanted to do is to avoid him and get rid of that feelings she have for him.
Greg watch Sarah hasten her steps as she rush to her car, he sigh, realizing how hurt Sarah is, he wonder why she seems to avoid him..

“hey bro,” Tony said with a smile when he saw Greg.
“let have some champagne,” Greg said.
“sure…
“isn’t Sarah sleeping here tonight, dad told me she left earlier,” Tony said.
“yes, maybe she is avoiding everyone,” Greg said sadly.
“i thought you’ll never hurt her. Greg you promise to always take care of Sarah back then in high school, you use to be cool with each other,” Tony said while Greg sigh again.
“am sorry Tony and am sure you know me too well. I and Sarah broke up many years back, i don’t want to hurt her again, all i want is for her to be happy for me as a best friend,” Greg said while Tony scoffed.
“i have always thought i and Sarah has a future together but i guess am mistaken because she never liked me! anyway i don’t want to for-ce things especially with you in the picture Greg. Am glad you’ll soon get married maybe i still have a chance with her,” Tony said.
“i hope so. Sarah is a good person and deserves to be loved. That makes me remember about Princess, i miss her so much, i sometimes wonder if she’s still alive, living a luxury life or a poor life… i wish i could do something to bring her back to me, to us and to her family, we use to be the best of friends,” Greg said with a sad smile on his face.
“mom is always sad, i just wish i had the chance to see my sister. Princess, the girl everyone has been talking about, i miss her even thou i have never seen her nor know her,” he said while Greg smiled.
“i will tell you more about her. Princess is beautiful, she has a killer smile, charming dimples and a good heart and if she’s still alive i know she got the se-xy shape,” Greg said with a smile..
“huh.. that’s so sweet you know. You’re already flirting with her, with someone who isn’t here. Natasha need to hear this,” Tony said teasingly while Greg laughed.
“am not flirting.. am just stating the real fact to cheer up our mood you know. Natasha still remains the love of my life,” Greg smiled.
“Awwwnn.. you’re just being so sweet now,” Tony teased.
“seems you guys are having a good time,” Mabel smiled as she walked up to them.
“yes mom,” Tony smiled while Greg stood up.
“Greg, i thought you’ve left already? she asked.
“not yet, but am leaving now. It already late,” he said.
“is that so, anyway thanks for coming once again,” she smiled
“thanks too Ma’am, just always have faith that Princess might still be alive. I haven’t lost hope and i hope you also do so,” he said.
“I Haven’t lost hope Greg, i just hope my instinct are right.,” She replied. Greg wave bye to both of them as he left.
“mom,” Tony said while Mabel sat down next to him.
“Edward,” Mabel called when she saw him walking upstairs, but he didn’t replied as he walked pa-ssed them.
“i will just talk to your dad, am coming right away,” she said to Tony then quickly rush after Edward.
“Edward.. are we fighting? i thought we are cool with each other? she asked as she fully walked to there large bedroom.
“say something Edward,” she snapped.
‘what else do you want me to say and what were you insinuating back then at the balcony. You always make me feel as if i have never loved nor care for Princess! She’s my daughter too and everyone knows how much i love and cherish her. Do you think i don’t always get sad whenever i wake up only to remember that Princess is missing and will never come back again,” he yelled angrily. Mabel was speechless when she saw how angry Edward was.
“uhhh.. that.. that’s the point Edward, why you do always believe everything they investigators told you. All am trying to say is that we should re-open her case and try search for her again! i know it been years and it won’t be easy but we don’t have to give up just like that,” she said, as tears slide down her eyes.
“do whatever you want Mabel, i guess you’re pushing all your frustration on me not realizing am more frustrated than you are, we just have to stay strong at least we have Tony and he’s a good son, he’s now our child, Princess is only a history now. She’s our past while Tony is our present and future,” Edward said then walked out sadly. Mabel burst into more tears.
“mom..” Tony quickly called then hurried to her and give a warm hug.
“i heard your conversation with dad, i thought today is your anniversary and you suppose to be happy,” he said calmly.
“no Tony, everyone has given up on Princess, why am i the only one worried about this,” she cried.
“that’s what you think, but it not you alone. Dad is right about what he said, am also worried and concern, Greg too is worried, even Sarah and also dad. You’re not the only one mother! I will help you look for Princess, i and Greg will do that for you, just stop worrying,” Tony cooed while Mabel wiped her tears.
“thank you Tony, i love you so much. Thank you for coming into our lives,” she smiled
“i should be the one thanking you, for giving me such a good life, i will help you look for your daughter, i will do everything in my power to do that,” Tony a-ssured her.
“you just have to sort things out with dad, we are family and we shouldn’t blame each other..
“am not blaming your father Tony, am only worried and sad because even Edward seems to give up on Princess, he thinks she’s truly death and will never return back to us,”
“it okay mom, i will talk to dad myself,” Tony said.

▪▪Greg arrived home that night, so exhausted. He freshen up and headed straight to his room. He couldn’t help but think about Princess, his childhood friend. It been fourteen solid years without her. His eyes sighted their picture on his table- that was the picture of him, Princess and Sarah when they were kids, he kept staring the picture as lots of thought ran throu-ghhis life. What will life be like if Princess was in our lives?
“if only i can change the hand of time, i would have save you Princess, please come back to us,” he said sadly, he fixed his gaze on the picture again.
“just one wish oh God, if Princess is still alive let us path cross,” he said silently to himself as he smiled.
▪▪Edward sat down on the couch next to his mom Amelia who seems so worried.
“why will this have to happen in the first place mom! first it was Princess and then my dad. I sometimes feel their’s enemy within but what i still don’t und-erstand is why Mabel feel as if i don’t care,” he said bitterly.
“i guess you both just misund-erstood each other. Today is your anniversary and even if Princess is not here with you, i just want to see you happy. Mabel is a woman and she have a fragile heart am sure you saw how traumatize she was when she lost her both parents and also when Princess went missing, she’s okay now but she haven’t gotten over it completely. Mabel might be right, your daughter might be alive somewhere,” Amelia said.
“i love Mabel mom, i love her so much that’s why i chose her over Erica and i will still choose to be with her even in my next life. I want to support her but Princess was shoot before she was taken away by the man, even the police said she might be death already. It hurt a lot to hear that but i just want to accept my fate like this, i don’t want to have high hopes about it because i don’t want to get hurt in the end. I have accepted my fate. I don’t have a child of my own but am happy with Tony now. I just want Mabel to move on, i don’t want her stay stuck in the past,” Edward said sadly trying to hold back his tears.
“I und-erstand your point but this the time you have to und-erstand her the more please…” Amelia said while he nodded…
Two days Later…✨
It was on Monday afternoon and it was such a hectic day for Greg and his team at the medical mission..
“their’s is an accident Sir,” a man said in a loud voice while all cynosure of eyes were on him.
“some people were brou-ght here! a bus got into a fatal accident and only two people survived,” the man said while an ambulance quickly rushed in, the casualties were rushed into the hospital.
“Pretty,” Greg quickly called one of his nurse from the team.
“make sure everything went on well here, i need to make sure those people survived,” he said while she nodded and he hurriedly went in. Lots of people were staring at him and were surprise to see Dr. Greg. He rarely shows up at the local hospital there but now he came with his team with lots of medical facilities and drugs for the patients.

“he need to survive nurse, please do everything to save my son,” Sean, Kendrick father’s said in a cracking voice, he couldn’t stand the fact that he’s son was so unlucky to be among those badly injured. He already lose Fredrick and he don’t want to lose Kendrick now. Starr was walking to and fro, she couldn’t help but kept crying for the survival of Kendrick.
“nothing bad will happen to Kendrick. He will survived for his loved ones,” Starr a-ssured his father.
“what happen? Laura asked as she ran towards Sean and Starr.
“is it true Kendrick was inside the bus.. how did it even happen? Laura asked sadly, her eyes were already filled up with tears.
“he’s badly injured Laura. I won’t survive it if anything bad should happen to my Kendrick, i just can’t take it! he have to wake up soon,” Starr cried while Laura hug-ged her.
“Kendrick loves you so much and he’s a strong man, am sure he’ll get throu-ghthis, we’ll get throu-ghall this Starr,” Laura said in tears.
Suddenly one of the senior nurse walked up to them.
“how is he? Starr quickly asked when she sighted her coming.
“it a good thing Dr. Greg is here today and he’ll take care of them, am sure with that there might be a chance of their survival,” she said while Laura seems surprise hearing Dr. Greg. Was he the one she have been hearing about? she asked herself..?
“oh! he’s here already,” the nurse said.
“please Sir… ” Starr said but stopped when she notice it was the same man she met a week ago, they one she bumped into at the grocery sto-re.
“huh! she said very surprise to see him.
“you? what are you doing here? he asked with a straight face staring at her.
“Dr. Greg! she muttered.
“please Sir, you have to save my son and all those who were injured,” Sean pleaded while Greg sigh.
“you have to help him out, Kendrick means so much to me Sir, am sorry for what happen the other day, am sorry for being so co-cky. Kendrick need you to survive this,” Starr pleaded as she kept on crying. Greg was stunned as he kept staring at her alone- even thou he only meet her once, he thought she was so arrogant and badmouth but today there seemed something helpless about her, he felt a tenderness for her- to help her out…
“it really nice to see you crying like a baby now,” he teased then quickly walked away…??
