I staggered back in shock but Mariam rushed to me.
“St©p doing this to yourself Lily”She cautioned me and I bur-st into tears.
“Try to cheer her up,I’ll see you guys tomorrow”
“Okay sir”Mariam nodded and he walk out of the room.
“The baby is going to die?,My baby?”I stuttered with myl-ips trembling and she sighed.
“Just calm down plea-se”She pacified me and I nodded dragging my legs to the be-d.

The next morning…….
I knock on the door and he ordered me to come in in his usual cold voice.

“Okay”I nodded and wall to the table beside the ber and picked it,I met some notes there and was about to ask about it but he interrupted me.

Mariam met me on the way and st©pped me.

“He gave me the address to the hospital,I’ll be back soon”
“Okay”She nodded and I saunter out of the compound.

After paying the cabby,I knocked on the gate and a young man open it for me.
“Hi”I greeted and he nodded.
“You can come in”He ushered me in and after entering,he led me to the receptionist and I was about to ask for the doctor when she surfaced in the room.
“Oh……you’re here”She said smiling and I nodded.
“Yes,Good morning”
“Good morning dear,how was your night?”
“Fine”I replied and she led me to a room with a be-d at a corner.
“Lie on the be-d while I get the instruments re-ady”
“Okay”I said sniffing and I lie on the be-d with my legs expo-sed.
She called one of the nurses to help her arrange the instruments and when she’s done arranging it,the nurse carried the instruments in front of her while she trail behind her to start the ab-ortion.

“You look somehow off today Lucian what’s wrong?”My counsellor asked suspiciously and I sighed.
“I thought I made the wrong decision”I sighed pushing my hair backwards and she furrowed her brows.
“What have you done this time around?”
“The girl I told you about,that you said I should start taking care of her,she’s pregnant for me”
“Wow!,that’s a good news”
“That’s a bad news alre-ady because she’s ok her way to the hospital to ab-ort the baby”
“What?”She scoffed in shock and I sighed.
“What have you done?,what’s wrong with you?,How could to tell her to ab-ort the baby”She yelled at me and I sighed.
“I’m sorry”I mumbled and she scoffed.
“You’re sorry?,For what?,You should be apologizing to the poor girl,not me”
“I’m as-suring you Lucian,that nightmares you are complaining about that they are hunting you,will be the death of you if you didn’t call the doctor now to st©p the ab-ortion”
Lily’s Pov
She was about to t©uçh my legs but I st©pped her,she look at me I’m surprise and i sniffed.
“I don’t wanna do this,I can’t”I cried in pains and she sighed.
“I un-derstand you quite well dear,I also pity your condition but there’s nothing I can do about it,Lucian have his orders alre-ady,I’m also a mother of two and I know the hell I went throu-gh before I could conceived”
“Then don’t do it”I yelled in pains holding my tummy protectively and she sighed.
“I’m sorry dear”She said pitifully and made me.lie down back on the be-d,she collected the instruments again and was about to commence the operation when her phone rang.
“Ma’am,your phone………”
“I told you alre-ady that I don’t pick calls when I’m working”She snapped at the lady.
“It’s Lucian”She said and I sprang on my feet.

“plea-se pick it”I begged and she collected the phone from her and pick the call.
“Good morning sir”
“Is Lily with you there?”He asked ignoring her greetings.
“Yes sir”

“No sir,we were about to start the operation when you called”
