Our vehicle c@mĀ£ to an abrupt halt after a two hour drive. I stepped down alongside the officers.
We got here safely by Alicia’s description and just like she had requested, I let her come.
” This is the place David. We can start by searching round the woods till we find a clue” Alicia spoke out.
“You heard her inspector Davis. Dispatch your men for an immediate search. They can litter round the woods so the search will be fas-ter.. while I’ll go alone on search of anything too”
“Uh… Uh.. not just you. I’m coming along. Remember” Alicia cut into my words
“Not this time plea-se. Alicia stay in the car. It’s dangerous”
“I knew that before coming here. And if you refuse me again, I’m charging you to…
“Okay fine. Quit the charges if a thing will you. You can come along if you want”
I sighed out frustratedly.
She’s just a…… Ugh! Whatever.
“Good” she sma-cked.
“Officers prepare to charge in. Keep your heads up for any clue. ” Inspector Davis ordered his men.
And before he left, he handed me a short gun.
“Be careful Mr David”
“You too, inspector” I nodded.
“Hey. I get to have one too right??” She interrupted m
“You can go now inspector Davis. I don’t think she nee-ds one of these”
“Okay” he nodded and tarried along behind his men.
“Why would you say such? He was so close to giving me. Off course I nee-d a gun to protect myself too. Not only you neeeds protec-tion”
Sh slightly pushed my arm.
“,If you really wanna protect yourself, stay in the car”
“Oh. Whatever. Let’s just go” she waved off.
“Follow me. Let’s take that p@rt of the woods. I have a feeling we’ll find something that might lead us to Mike”
“As you say MƵnsĆ³ire” she said in a different accent.
I just shook myself with a small smile.
With the headlights on our heads, we both walked towards the route.
My instincts kept leading the way.. the plan is to be alert and search for anything.. you Don’t really have to know the way.
It’s an instinct thing.
I just followed mine with the high hope of finding Anna.

“Help …. ! SomebĀ©dy…! He…help!”
I f0rƧĀ£d the words out of my mouth as u tried to blindly hold on to something.
It’s stupid. Cause I think no one will hear me.
Gosh! I’m in the middle of nowhere at this odd hour. This place doesn’t even look random for someone to be in it.
As I blindly looked for what to hold on to with my hand, I felt a ha-rd and rou-gh shaft. Like the bark of a wood.
I held on to it and felt if firm to the ground. I exhaled sharply and pu-ll-ed my other hand towards it.
The wood was stocked to the ground. It made me happy cause I saw it as a stepping stone out of this bloody tra-p.
Without much hesitation, I pu-ll-ed with f0rƧĀ£ with my two hands gr-abbing on to it like my life depended on it. On which I consider a ‘Yes’ cause right now, my life really depend on it.
The muddy water was way past the level of my mouth now.
The more I pu-ll-ed, the more I lose my balance and I likely go dee-per in the shower thick sinking mud.
I could alre-ady feel it above my head’s. My face gradually buried into it. I tried to f0rƧĀ£ my head out but I just couldn’t.
I bec@mĀ£ completely blind and oblivious of my environment. I couldn’t s-en-se where the wood was anymore. Cause in the cause of struggle, my hands sli-pped away from it.
I tried to scream out. But how impossible it seemed cause I was alre-ady swallowed in it.
My hands waving above the mud for help. Like someone was anywhere close to help.
It didn’t take long, and like a dream, I felt a strong hold on me. pu-lling me out.
I was being pu-ll-ed out by something. Or someone rather.
“Oh my God! This is bad. Is she still Breathing,?? Can she hear us??”
Angels?? I thought in my head as I faintly heard voices.
I felt water-pour on me and a soft material wiping off my face. The dirts actually.
“Ana. Can you hear me?”
That voice.
Is it in my head??
“Ana.” He called again.
I wasn’t so sure. What if this isn’t real?? What if I’m still inside the water and it’s just a mirage??
“A–am I st-still dr-drown-ing??”
I struggled the words out and heard a short cackle.
“No. Baby. You’re safe now.”
“David..”
My eyes lit up in tears.
“It’s really you. I thought I’d never see you again. I thought I was imagining things. God I’m so happy to see your face again”
I sobered up and pu-ll-ed him into a ti-ght hvg
“Hmm .. hmm.. you can thank me too later.. no problem with that”
I tilted my head and stared up at a familiar face.
i could see her face throu-gh the dim Torchlight on her head.
“Alicia?? You c@mĀ£??”
I looked suprised.
Well, I am suprised. I didn’t really expect to see her.
“Yes. David nee-ded some backup. And there was no better person to tag along” she win-ked.
I smiled in appreciation ” thank you”
“Like I said before, you can thank me later. But first, where’s the douchebag that brou-ght you here??? He certainly nee-ds to be taught a real lesson”
“Alicia Don’t worry about that okay. The police will handle that. Let’s just focus on getting Ana back home. Is that okay?”
“Nope. Not okay. Where’s the fun in that?? I really want to li-ck some a$$es. ”
“Alicia!?”
“Okay fine!” She exhaled in defeat.
“Hope he didn’t hurt you.” Alicia asked me.
“No he didn’t”
At least I didn’t let him.
I said within myself as I remembered the potion he used one
“David. I nee-d to tell you something”
I said tiredly.
The thought that I was about to die moments ago with a life in me scared the hell out of me.
” Babe before anything,. let’s get you safe first” he said and carried me up into his arms in a bridal style.
I rested my head on his shoulder nad felt a bit relaxed and safe.
I’m in the safe hands now.
I’ve never felt this secured for the past days.
He wra-pped me up in his arms as we gradually walked out of the woods with Alicia following behind.
“How did you find me?” I asked.
If he didn’t come to me earlier, I’d be Dead.
“The pictures you sĀ£nt remember. Besides while I and Alicia toured round the woods, we heard a voice calling out for help. We followed the sound and when the voice c@mĀ£ clearer, I figured how familiar it sounded… That’s how we got to save you ”
“Thanks for coming you both”
I felt a relief in me.
At this time, I began to feel dizzy. I feel tired alre-ady. So falling asleep wasn’t any problem at all. I’m safe now.
I feel secured in the arms of the man I love so much.
Sleep, was what I craved for now. slee-ping like a baby in his arms.
With each bold step he took, I felt myself drifting into Oblivion.
I didn’t fight it cause it’s what I wanted. To fall asleep and wake up in a place I’m familiar with.
A place I call home…

“She never told me anything like that doctor”
“Well maybe she had her reasons”
“Yeah. Maybe. So doctor, aside that, is there anything else? Anything in supposed to know concerning her health?”
“No. Not really. She’s perfectly fine. No form of bru-tality. Aside the news I alre-ady told you, there’s nothing more”
“That’s a relief then. Thank you doctor”
“You’re welcome. She’ll be awake soon. I’ll come later to check on her”
“No problem doctor”
After a short while, I heard a small noise from the door.
Slowly, I opened my sleepy eyes, blinking away the tiredness, I stared at David who stared throu-gh the window.
“Is it Morning yet?”
“Oh jeez! You’re awake.” He jĀ£rked a bit and stared fully at me. His hands on my forehead.
“You look fine” he attested.
“Yeah “. I sat up on the be-d.
“How long have I been asleep?” I asked, dabbing my eyes.
“Five. Six hours” he replied
“Wow. It was more like a five minutes rest though” I stated a fact.
A true fact. I haven’t sle-pt to my fill. Not the way I want it though.
The faint voices I was hearing actually woke me up.
“You never told me you’re pregnant” he said.
My heart began to race nervously.
He knows.
“I was gonna tell you. I got to know about it just yesterday, from Mike”
“Mike? He knows too?”
“Yes. I overheard his phone call. … He was …..”
I paused for a moment. And then continued.
“He Tried to terminate it”
I gulped ha-rd almost choking at my own words.
“What the heck??” David exclaimed in shock.
“He tried to…? To terminate my baby??’
“Yes.” I nodded.
“He wanted to do it by adding a liquid potion on my food. He tried Killin the baby thinking I know nothing about it’s existence. ” I narrated.
“That mother fu-cker’s gonna pay for this. Good thing he’s being apprehended”
My eyes lit up.
“He is?”
“Yes BBY. The police caught up with him. He actually tried to make a dirty move for an escape. He got sh0t in his leg. Good for that įŗastard”
He cussed bitterly.
I felt relieved by the news.
“After his treatment, the Ćastard’s going to jail. I’ll make sure of that” David vowed.
“David…”
I called, remembering the main reason I was held back with by Mike.
“Yes?”
“Mike. He did something to my mom. He threatened that if I want my mom to be safe and alive, I wouldn’t try any funny idea to run…”
I ranted out.
“Babe .. your mom is fine and awake. She even wants to see you”
He cut me off.
I stared at him with hopeful eyes.
“She’s… She’s awake??? Awake from coma??”
“Yes. She is.”
He gave me an as-suring smile.
“Can I go see her now? plea-se??”
“Yeah. Sure. If the doctor says you’re good to go, sure. We can go see her”
He agreed.
“Oh thank you so much” I pu-ll-ed into his as for an embr@ce.
“And just so you know, the kids can’t wait to see you either”
He whispered into my ears.
“Me too. I can’t wait to see them.
After paying my mom a visit, we’re going home to them. Or we could see the kids first then we can all go to the hospital.

My mom really loves children. She’ll be so happy to see them”
I suggested.
It’ll be a great idea.
“Guess you’re right. So what about my baby growing inside of you? You gonna tell your mom about it? Or not yet.?”
Hmm…
“Should I??” I bit my lowerl-ip, trying to figure if it’s a great timing to do so now.
“Well if you ask me, I’ll say you should k!ssme instead”
I chuckled lightly At his words as he pu-ll-ed me into a de-ep k!ss.
I’ve really missed this. So much.
I thought within me as I de-epened the k!ss.
The door suddenly opened and…oh my gosh!!
We broke from the k!ssimmediately.
“If not my people having a major l!plock” she tea-sed with a grin.
I lowered my head with a smile. A bit embarras-sed.
“Alicia.” David breath out frustratedly.
Who wouldn’t be frustrated.?
She just bu-mped into our favorite moment.
“David.” She called back with an eye roll.
“Jeez! What do you want??” David gro-an ed.
“The police are outside. They wanna have a word with you. It’s about Mike” she announced.
“Good. Go tell them I’ll be there shortly”
“Okay” she nodded and was about leaving when she stĀ©pped and turned back to the both of us
“You two should get a room. Not the hospital” she puffed and then went out.
“Great” David breath out in relief.
“So where were we?” He drawled with his de-ep ‘$exy’ voice, about pu-lling me back to another k!ss, the door suddenly opened.
“fu-ck! Alicia just go out!” He half yelled in frustration.
Causing a small laugh from me.
“Babe. It’s the doctor” I chuckled with a whisper.
‘” the doctor? Oh my. ” He blinked back in realisation and got up immediately.
“Sorry. I didn’t know it was you”
He apologized. Nervously. ma-king him look really cute
“No problem Mr. I can see you and your wife are having a good time” he threw me a satisfied smile.
Wife? Wow. His wife?
I really like the sound of that.
“Yes. We are having a good time” he nodded with a wi-de smile.
I studied his face, seeing how relaxed he was while replying the doctor.
The doctor just referred me as his ‘wife’ which clearly I’m not.
Though it actually fluttered my heart. Did it do anything to David’s?
What if it didn’t?
Does he even have plans in maky me his wife??
All this clouded my thoughts and I didn’t realize the time the doctor left.
“A Penny for your thoughts?”
He snapped his f!ngers, jĀ£rking me back to reality.
“What’s on your mind?” He asked. Placing a light k!sson my back Palm.
“Uhmm. Nothing?” I replied.
The response sounded more like a question from me.
“You sure?” He asked, trailing k!sses up to my shoulder , then my nĀ£Ā¢k.
“Y-yes”
It was giving me goosebu-mps.
“The doctor said you’re fine now and we can leave” he added. Hisl-ips now on my chin.
“Really? That’s great news” I Breathe ha-rd . Feeling the effect of his tĀ©uƧh on me.
Is he trying to turn me on? In a hospital??
Geez! Cause it’s seriously getting to me.
I bit my lower l!pas he k!$$Ā£d all over my face.
Then finally, hisl-ips found mine.
Did I mention how much I was craving for him now? It’s just so crazy.
“You know I miss doing This” he said amidst the k!ss, di-pping his hand into my shi-t.
“I miss that too” I admitted truthfully, b!tt!g myl-ips from m0@n ing.
“… Hmm. Hmm. And you two can’t afford to ‘miss’ my invitation too”
“Jesus Christ!!” David shouted. flin-ching from me.
“What??” Alicia gave an innocent pout.
“I swear I didn’t see anything” she shrugged. Looking away from us.
“I thought I told you not to…
“Chill dude. I c@mĀ£ here with an invitation. It’s my bestie’s wedding this weekend. I’m inviting you two”
She di-pped her hand into her medium-sized bag and brou-ght out a card.
David snatched it from her.
“Careful okay. That’s your gate pas-s”
She replied.
I gave out a small laugh. She’s a handful.
“We are not coming” David stated matter of factly after glancing throu-gh the invitation.
“Like you have a choice” she scoffed.
“Oh yeah?? Watch me”
“C’mon David. I helped save the love of your life. You owe me. Big time”
“Okay. Yeah. We’ll surely come. I promise”
I cut David from speaking further. I know he’s re-ady for an argument with Alicia.
These two are so dramatic.
“Thank you” she smiled and walked out.
“What if i don’t want to go?” David arched a brow at me.
I took the card from him.
“You will.”
“Whatever. Just come here” he di-pped his head and almost picking myl-ips, the door opened again.
“You two should get a room okay. I forgot to tell you that the police after still waiting for you”
“ALICIA!!!!!!”
Yeah we lost it. I and David.
We screamed her name to the roof tĀ©p.
She finally giggled and slammed the door shut.
