Nora asked looking terrified.
Alicia who alre-ady feeling guilty found no word to pacify her friend who was hurt by her confession.

“Well I was gonna leave town like I said before, I got a transfer letter . I was prepared for a change of new location but I just couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t do it. It seemed like the ha-rd est decision to make at the moment”
“Then why kidnap me?” Rosiana asked with a teary eye. “Why punish my mom?”

“Here, drink this, you’ll be fine”
He handed a small glas-sy cu-p with some liquid content in it to her.
Rosiana stared shortly at the drink and then to him.
” Take it plea-se, it’ll help clear your head. Its for painkillers” he said in guilt.
He feels so bad for raising his voice on her. Guess that’s what led to what Happened.
Reluctantly, she took it from him.
After she pas-sed out, Mike quic-kly made a tea with some herbs for her. He placed her on the be-d while he waited for her to wake.
Now she’s awake, he feels he’s the cause of what just happened.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have raised my voice on you. It won’t happen again I promise”
Rosiana who took a small sip on the tea nodded curtly to his word.
“How are you feeling now?” He asked.
” Tired ”
“Alright. The tea will help with it. I’ll make sure I find something to ease you with. Take your time and rest.. and if you later have a change of mind with the food, it’s right there. ”
He pointed to a small table beside the be-d before walking out.
Ana dropped the cu-p of tea on the small table and covered herself with the duvet as she la-id back on the be-d.
“David, where are you?”

Kayla asked her dad who was busy ma-king breakfast in the kitchen.
David decided not to answer his daughter. He really doesn’t know how long he could keep it with the lie.
It’s been two days in Anna’s abs£nce and it hasn’t really been easy convincing the kids about her whereabouts.
He hasn’t visited the hospital since the other day. He’s just too busy with Ana’s case. But he however gets in t©uçh with the doctor on her recovery. And from what the doctor said, there’s progress.
He hopes to believe that. Who knows if he is lying about it in other not to catch his anger?
“Daddy?” She pouted.
“Not now Kay. Go pl@ywith your siblings” he replied instead, waving her off as he busied himself with the dish.

David sighed de-eply and paused with whatever he was doing. Alicia is still un-der investigation but she proves stubborn to the allegations and refuses to tell the truth.
She even went as far to get herself a lawyer.
This whole situation is really Messing up his head.

Rosiana slowly opened her eyes that morning to the environment she’ll never get used to.
It’s been two days since her stay here and she’s so sick of this. She hates Mike more than anything and she wish he’d just doesn’t and leave her be.
But there’s nothing she can so to achieve that. Her mom’s life is at stake. Mike is just so manipulative. He’s a devil.
She stepped Down from the be-d and walked out of the room.
It’s Morning and the house looks cold. Not like it’s ever lively. It’s just that this cold/calmness is unlike before.
She hasn’t really taken her time to check out the place. She has always been in her room . And unlike everyother morning, Mike didn’t visit her room with breakfast today. Or isn’t he around?
What if he isn’t around? She can’t be too sure about that right?
No she can’t.
She began checking the rooms about six in number till she finally got to his room.
She has never been to his room before, but from the smell and arrangement, it tells of Mike’s.
“Mike?” She called out, stepping in.
The room looked void of him. Or maybe it really is.
There’s no Mike here.
Where did he go this morning?
She wondered. Walking around.
Her eyes suddenly caught a phone which was on his be-d.
Wait. A phone?
That’s Mike’s phone! Really it is.
She picked it up from the be-d and switched it on. She swiped it open and thought of what to do with it.

“Dr Mrs Romen. The result. I thought you said you won’t quote for me. The result plea-se I’m in a hurry” he cut into her words.
“She’s pregnant”
“Wait. What?”
Mike’s mouth dropped immediately he heard those words from her mouth.
“Is this some joke or what?” He cackled in disbelief. She definitely can’t be.
“Mike. She’s three weeks gone” Mrs Romen repeated again showing him the results in a white sheet.
“That bastard!” He said throu-gh gritted teeth. Hitting the steering of his car.
The rage in him is something Mrs Romen has never seen.
“You can go” he said low.
“Dr Mi–
“I said you can go. I’ll talk on phone with you” he snapped.
He has stayed away from the house for long. Ana must be awake now.
“Okay” she said and stepped down of his car.
Frustratedly, Mike ran his f!ngersthrou-gh his hair. Staring all over all over again at the result. She’s pregnant?
Pregnant for him? And to think she doesn’t even know about yeh baby. Such a pity.

“Mrs Romen” he called out, stepping out of the car to catch up with her.

Mrs Romen who was about starting her car saw Mike approaching and decided to wait up.
She wound down the window of her car…
“Anything the matter Dr Mike?” She asked when he st©pped at the side of the car.

Rosiana was about stepping out of Mike’s room when she bu-mped into Mike.
She screamed out in shock, holding her Breathe.
“Good morning to you too. What are you doing in my room?” He asked, almoy immediately.
“I…… I…. I… W..was l…. looking for you” she stuttered.
“Why look for me??” He sm-irked, taking slow steps towards her.
Rosiana’s heart began to race as she took her steps back, away from him.
“Don’t tell me you miss me alre-ady” he gave a small smile trying to t©uçh her hair but she was quic-k to re-move her face from his grasp.
“I’m… I’m hungry” she said low.
“You know the road to the kitchen don’t you?”

“The last room to your left, you have the kitchen, my love” he gave a sm-irkish smile.
Rosiana’s breathe ha-rd and walked out of his sight.
Immediately she left, the smile on Mike’s face turned to a frown.
No matter how he loves this woman, he can’t accept the fact that she’s pregnant for that ßastard. It makes him sick.
Besides she smells something fishy this morning.
What was she doing in his room and why did she react the way she reacted when she saw him?
He thought for a while when something flashed into his head all of a sudden.

He walked briskly towards the be-d and met the phone just the way kept it.
He picked it up and felt it warm . He gave out a sm-irk and nodded.
