How can he say I should forget about what we had. Because of what ?
” Arden !” He sigh and turn to look at me. He’s guilty and sadness flows in his eyes. Why’s he trying to hurt me ?
” It’s not what you think. I can’t look out for you. You got sh0t because of me and they are not st©pping there.”
” So you think leaving me like a coward is the best solution ? What did I do to you ?”
” It’s not about you. It’s about your safety. It’s not really because you’re a witch it’s just , most people are my rivals there. They will keep on hurting you because of me. I just nee-d to let you go so that I can look out for you.”
” You’re a coward.”
” Lita, it’s not what you think.”
” What do you want me to think ? That you’re breaking up with me because you think it’s the best thing for me. What makes you think it’s the best thing for me ? Do you even know what’s best for me ? You don’t even care about my feelings or how I feel. You’re just selfish. How am I supposed to move on ?”

I wipe my eyes and turn to leave.
” Alita , plea-se wait.” I st©p right at my track and I could feel him beside me.
” I’m sorry.” He said. I turn to look at him and he’s staring right back at me.
” Why ? Because you’re leaving me ? Or because you hurt me ?” He tuck back my hair and cu-p my cheek before k!ss!ngme.
I didn’t k!ssback but he his k!sses was desperate. He looks lost. I break from the k!ssand shake my head.
” Thanks for everything.” I tell him and wipe my eyes again. He proceed to t©uçh me but I swat his hands away.
” Don’t t©uçh me.”
” Alita , plea-se un-derstand.” I turn to leave but his hands grip to my arm.
” Leave me alone.” I yell and sl@pped him.
I’m about loosing and I’m crying like a baby. I rush out of his house and rush down the streets. I don’t even know where to go. I’m not even in the mood to go to Dylan’s , he’s definitely gonna remind me of Arden. I stuck my hands the pockets of my hoodie and walk down on the street. I blink my eyes several times and sniffles.
My phone ring in my back pocket. I stuck it out and look at the caller. Dylan. I ignored the call and throw the phone away after smashing it. I wanna go back home and I nee-d help. Home is definitely gonna make me forget about Arden and whatever thing that happened between us. how could he ? I look around this familiar road and I’m close to Elna’s. I walk down the street and ring her doorbell.
” Alita.” I hvg her at once as she pu-ll me inside her house shutting her door with her feet.
” God , what happened to you ?” I emptied all the tears I’ve been keeping on on her shoulders.
” It’s okay. Sit , I’ll get you coffee.”
I sit on the couch and fiddle with my f!ngerssniffing back my tears. Why did I even fall in love in the first place. He’s such an as-s-hole. How am I supposed to move on from this stupid trauma.
” Here.” Elna gives me a coffee. I received it and drank it.
” What happened ?”
” He broke up with me.”
” Broke up? With you ? Who ? Arden ?”
” Of course it’s Arden. He said we can’t be together because he thinks it’s the best for me. His council hates me and they want us to be ap@rt.”
” And he left you ?” I nodded and gulp the coffee.
” No way.” She pu-lls her phone out and dial an unknown number.
” Come on , it’s not time for that . Alita is crying because Arden finally broke up with her. What’s wrong with him ?”
” Yes..” she reply after few seconds. ” He told her to move on because he thought that’s the best solution for whatever thing that happened. He should have just said they should pretend to not be together and give each other some space and not breaking up with her. She’s hurt for fv¢k sake.”
Elna sigh and ru-b her temple.
” Better. Tomorrow I’m visiting him and I’m definitely kicking his bu-tt. She’s my best friend and I won’t watch anyb©dy hurt her.” Elna roll her eyes and hang up.
” Just breathe and follow me upstairs. You’re taking a bath and having a nice app. Arden won’t kill your vibes , bestie.”
I f0rç£ myself to laugh and wipe the last tear that sneak out of my eyes. She helped me up and lead me to my room.
” Don’t hurt yourself by crying too much okay. I know that feeling just forget about what he said and breathe.” I nod like a kid and smile.
” You’ll be fine.” She adds and I nod again.
” Good girl.” She k!ssmy temple and smile at me. I sigh and smile.
” Goodnight.”
” Goodnight , sweetheart.” I smile and shut the door.
How am I supposed to sleep when someone that i really want just broke up with me. I slump on my be-d and cry my eye out. I couldn’t st©p crying and thinking about him till I finally fall asleep.

I don’t even know what to say. I’ve been an as-s all my life and I’m still an as-s. It wasn’t Intentional and I thought it was the best for her. What was I supposed to do ? Endanger her life and get her killed.
” Arden.” Derek snap and narrow his eyes.
” I don’t have a choice.”
” You have a choice. By ma-king her happy and not dumping her.” Dylan said.
” I didn’t dump her.”
” You broke up with her , man. That was too low for you.”
” I’m not really leaving her. I just want her away , I don’t even know what’s the coven’s next step. They are gonna hurt her every single minute just to see me hurt too. Since they can’t come throu-gh me , they think the best thing to do is hurting her and probably getting her killed. I’ll be so selfish to keep her for myself because I love her.”
” Wow. That’s the reason ?”
” You can’t fight Havens. Can you ?” I ask both of them.
” You should have possibly tell her you nee-ded space so that she would be safe.”
” So how long are we supposed to have that space ? They are not willing to change a thing , because of their stupid and selfish reasons. I’m hopeless here.” I sigh and roll my eyes.
” Do you have any liquid here. I’m getting dehydrated by your speech.” Dylan says walking to the bar to get a drink.
Derek sigh de-eply and lean on the couch.
” Will there ever be a final solution to this misery ?” Derek ask.
” Yeah. Havens have about 20 covens around the globe…” Dylan said walking back to the living room.”Arden is their crown prince and he’s highly respected by most elders and of course non royals. Each coven has about six elders. Most of the female elders will definitely side Arden because he’s good looking and a genius of his kind. After getting the elders who will definitely be by your side , you kill the rest , it’s easy.”
I blink my eyes and stare at Dylan. Derek bit his l!pand stare back at Dylan.
” What ?”
” You’re drun!k?” Derek ask.
” I don’t get drun!k. It’s the truth.” He turn around and sit on the same couch with me.

” I’m in if Arden approves this.”

” Arden , okay that’s enough. I’m still angry at you for hurting my homegirl. I called her last night and she ignored the call. I called again and it doesn’t connect.”
” Elna said she throw her phone away.”

” Yeah. She was mad at you.” Derek remark and I feel guilty again.

” Talk ? I remembered you had an affair with her.”

” Is Alita aware ?”
” I don’t wanna hurt her so I really can’t tell her I mess around a lot. She sort of knew I was an as-s before her but she’s fine with it.”

” Talk later, Lou. I nee-d to have a word with Carina.”

” Sure.” I hang up and sigh. Coming here always makes me sick to the bone.
” Arden..” she smiled when she sees me. I scowl at her other counterp@rt Louis. as-s-hole.

” Okay.” She shrug and dismissed Louis before leaving with me.
I shut her door and gr-ab her arm. She spin around and sm-irk.
” You’re back ?” She sm-irk , looking down at my hand that’s still gripping to her arm.
