. ” You should break up with her.” The words repeated in my head. I’m hurt and truth be told Lou is trying to help.
” Why should I do that ?”
” Because you love her.” Lou said. I shake my head sideways and turn to walk away.
I nee-d to find Dawn and I’m really tired of listening to their conversation. Why am I always naive ? I mean I knew we can’t be together but yet I was selfish. I wanted to be with him because I thought we could walk this throu-gh. My eyes were alre-ady heavy but I’m a strong woman , I won’t cry and by the way Arden isn’t planning to break up with me.

” It’s ha-rd Lou , it’s not that easy . She stole my heart. She makes me feel different.”
” I un-derstand your point. You turn your back on your coven and also abandoned Jasmin your betrothed because of her. I know you did all this because you loved her. You should think about yourself and her importantly. If you go on with her , they will kill her.”
” I won’t watch them do that…” I huff and sit on her couch.
” A long time ago , witches started a war with Havens. It was bloody cause most people died. So since then..”
” You guys decide to st©p any relationsh!pthat transpired between witches and of course vampires. That’s stupid. She wasn’t p@rt of that damn war , she’s from Amazon for Pete’s sake. Your kinds stole them , f0rç£ them into slavery because of your hatred for them. What does that even mean to you ? Don’t you think it’s high time you all put a st©p to this nons-en-se. Look at dad , he loves a witch and you all c@m£ together and put an end to that , ending him with a dead mother. You’re talking about some crazy war witches started and I’m really certain vampires started this damn war.”
” Arden…”
” It’s fine , I’m just gonna leave.”
” Arden listen to me..” Louisa said and sit close to me.
” I know you love her. But if you love her safety you nee-d to give her up for now. Fine , don’t break up with her, just let her go for now. They won’t st©p till they are sure you’re not with her anymore.”
” So I should act like a coward and let her go because of what.”
” Because you love her Arden. That’s what people do. If you love someone dearly , give them up. When everything is settled , you can have her to yourself. I can’t talk to every elders of this coven in just one day. It’s gonna take a lot of time and efforts.”
I sigh and lean back on the couch. How did I become a vampire ? Stupid rules. I heard a whimper outside of Louisa’s room and it sounds like Alita. The door to Lou’s room swings open as Alita walks in with Scott gripping to her arm.
” Is this the witch you decide to leave Jasmin for ?” He scowl holding onto her arm.
” Let her go Scott.”
” What are you gonna do , Arden ?”
” St©p asking me damn questions , let her go. Except you’re willing to handle whatever thing that happened to you six years ago.”
” I’m not scared…”
” Scott.” Lou snap at him.
He hiss irritatingly and toss Alita to a corner. I quic-kly caught her but that didn’t st©p me from punching the hell out of him. Lou had to st©p me and f0rç£ me to sit down.
” Control your temper.” She scolded.
” Why would I do that ?”
” Because he’s a person like you.” I scoff and look at Alita. She f0rç£ a smile and I could tell she’s tired.
” And what’s going on ?” Barron ask walking inside Louisa’s room. Things aren’t gonna go well. I so hate him.
” Oh , Arden , you brou-ght the witch home.” He scowl and look down at Alita.
” You have any problems with that ?” I ask him.
” Arden..” Lou narrowed her eyes at me telling me to shut up because he’s a stupid elder.
” I have rights here. I’m royalty and he’s just some elder who likes poke nosing.”
” You’re still a rebel. What did you do to Scott ?” He ask me.
” I punched him ha-rd . You can see he’s bleeding.” I scoff as Barron turn to look at Scott who’s been pinching his nose like forever.
” There’s a gathering upstairs. You’re nee-ded Arden.” He said with clench teeth and motion Scott to come with him .
I bit my l!pand watch them walk out of Louisa’s room.
” Sit.” Lou said to Alita. She sigh and take a seat. Now I feel stupid , I shouldn’t have brou-ght her here in the first place.
” Have you find a solution to himiko ?” She directs her question to Alita.
” No. They keep saying same thing.”
” What thing ?”
” That she’s gonna die. Same old story , it’s crazy.” I ru-b my forehead and lean back properly on the couch.
” t©uçhed her yet ? Arden i mean you.” I raise my head to look at Lou who crossed her arms in front of me.
” Not yet. Said I’m gonna die if I dare.”
” She should go back to Amazon. She’s a spell.”
” Same bull$h!t.” I mutter and scoff.
” Arden , language.” Lou snap her f!ngersat me.
” I’m sorry. I’m just tired. I wanna run away.”
” Only cowards run away. You should go upstairs for the gathering.”
” Nah , I’m taking her home. If I stay for too long , I’m definitely gonna fight with someone.”
” You’re skipping the meeting ?” I sigh and look at Alita. She’s my damn distraction.
” I’ll be fine.” Alita said to me. I roll my eyes and refuse to look away from her.
” She’ll be fine in here. Nob©dy’s coming into my room. I’ll be behind you , just go.”
” Doesn’t matter , does it ? They are still gonna say the same thing. Rules and guidelines on how to manage my life like I’m 16. Why should I go up there ?”
She roll her eyes and turn to the door.
” Don’t stay too long here. I’m waiting outside for you.” She says and walk outside shutting the door.
Alita still look disturbe-d. I stood up and sit close to her.
” You’re okay ?” I ask her tou-ching her loose hair.
” I’m not okay. I feel like I don’t belong here.” She svçkherl-ips and rest her head on my shoulder.
” She said you should break up with me right ?” She ask. I stayed quiet stro-king her hair. Alita sit up to look at my face.
” You heard that ?”
” Yeah I did. What did you tell her ?”
” I can’t leave you. Just stay right here and I’ll be back to check on you. I just wanna hear their rantings upstairs.”
” Alright.” She smiles broadly and k!ssmy cheek.
” Becareful.” I stood up and walk out of the room.
Lou turn to look at me before walking ahead of me.
” She’s too good for your terrible as-s.” Lou snorts.
” Why will you say that ? I’m not really that bad.”
” Who said you’re not ? Dylan’s a bit better. Everyone around Havens sees you as a rebel.”
” I don’t listen to anyone doesn’t make me a rebel.” I scoff.
” Seriously.” Lou sigh and cross her arm as we walk side to side.
How am I supposed to tell her I’m breaking up with her. I don’t wanna hurt her not for anything. What if I can’t save her. I’m just confused. We take the stairs and appeared upstairs. There they are , useless elders. I sigh and stuck my hands inside my pockets looking at everyone of them. I take the seat next to Lou and sit down.
” Arden.”
” You all ask for me, now I’m here. ”
” We heard you brou-ght a witch.”
” I did.”
” And why if I may ask ?”
” Because I choose to. Why does everyone care to know about my business ? You don’t care about a vampire keeping a witch as a pet but you have issues with a vampire keeping a witch as a bride. If I may ask, why ?” I ask them.
” Because witches are bad news.”
“fv¢k me. That’s not even a reason. You don’t hate people because of their origin , it’s really stupid.”
” Arden , mind your language.”
” And why should I do that ? I’m supposed to be the next elder by blood. I turn down that offer because I wasn’t re-ady to be p@rt of selfish people who cares about themselves. I have every right to make my own decisions.”
” Then get re-ady to fight every single person of this coven. It’s not a threat arden. We won’t watch you change every single rules in Havens because you’re a rebel in exchange for a prince.” Barron scoff.
I clench my fist on the arm chair glaring daggers at them. Lou pat me gently on the back. I scoff and stood up.
” Arden , where do you think you’re going ?” I ignored them and stomp out of the room.

The drive was terrible. Arden isn’t saying a word and I’m worried. Did he fight with someone ? I sigh and look at him. His jaw is clenched and he looks tensed and really stressed. He parked his car in the garage and storm out. I pursue suit and call out to him.
” Arden..” he didn’t reply but shut the door aggressively. He gr0@nde-eply and punch the wall endlessly. He pause and lean his head on the wall.
I stood behind him and t©uçh his shoulders , he flin-ch a bit but didn’t move.
” Just breathe.” I whisper tou-ching his back slowly.
His shoulders fall back a little and I could hear him breathe.
” Everything is gonna be fine. I’m here and I’m not leaving.” I hvg him from behind and rest my head on his back.
He breathe out slowly and turn around still hvgging me. He pu-ll back a little and k!ssme at once. Unexpected , I k!$$£d back and he was a bit hungry for myl-ips. He spin me around and lean me on the wall still k!ss!ngme desperately. His hands alre-ady trail on my th!ghs as he take in myl-ips with his ton-gue.
” I don’t wanna loose you.” He m0@n s in my mouth and k!ssme de-eply. His hand was a bit rou-gh on my h!ps and I un-derstand , he’s angry.
He st©p k!ss!ngwith his eyes still close. His forehead lean on mine and his hands curl around my w@!st.
” I’m sorry.”
…..
. It’s been two days since we left Greece. Arden have been acting weird. He’s ba-rely at home and usually return at night time. I sit opposite Dylan pla-ying chess and I’ve been loosing terribly.
” How was your trip ? You really haven’t talked about it.” He grins.
I giggle.” It was nice, just stressful. Your people are really ha-rd sometimes.” He chuckles.
” Yeah. It’s crazy. You look different a little.”
” How ?” I ask him and meet his eyes.
” Beautiful. Like really beautiful. Arden is such an as-s , he took care of you i guess.” I blus-h and sigh.
Yeah I really like to talk to Dylan about Arden’s new behavior. I noticed it’s his council but that’s not really a great excuse.
” Have you visited the palace lately ? Maybe yesterday ?”
” Yeah. Things are just complicated. You’re okay ?”
I shrug and nod.
” I’m glad you’re.” I sigh and abs£ntly tap on the table.
” You’re sure okay ?”
” I’m not.” I whine and lean back on the chair.
” Arden’s been acting weird lately. He’s ba-rely at home since we got back. He leaves in the morning and return at night just to awkwardly ignore me. It’s not like he’s ignoring me though , I think he’s thinking too much.”
” Why ? You’ve asked him ?”
” No. I’m just worried.” I sigh de-eply and ru-b my temple.
” It’s okay. You should ask him tonight. He is gonna talk to you no matter what. Just breathe and everything is gonna be fine.”
” Relationsh!pisn’t easy.”
Dylan chuckle and smile broadly.
” Yeah. That’s the best joke I’ve heard this winter.”
” That’s not a compliment.” I laugh. ” It’s the truth though. A lot of pressures and a lot of decisions. I can’t even imagine going back to that single me without being broken.”
” You’re not going back to that single you. Not for anything. We’re still handling the council and according to Arden, Lou said she’s helping gradually.”
I nodded and smile.
” I saw your new phone.”
” Arden bought me that.” I blus-h.
” Yeah , I noticed.” I cross my legs on the chair and slurp noisily on the jui-ce Dylan offered.
That evening Dylan drop me off and left. I walk Inside the house and shut the door. I climb upstairs and entered Arden’s room. He lean on the rails of the balcony and I could see his shi-tless back. He’s so damn h0t.
I re-moved my hoodie, left with just my sports br@ , I step on the balcony and hvg Arden from behind. We really nee-d to talk about his weird attitude. His shoulders is tensed and I hate to see him that way. He turns around and smile.
” Hey.” I said.
He smiles broadly and tuck back every of my loose hair.
” Dylan’s ?” He ask.
” Yeah. I was bored.” He nodded and look away from my eyes.
” Is there something you wanna talk about ?”
He stay silent for a minute before cu-pping my cheek and k!ss!ngme. It’s been two days since we last k!$$£d and it feels like six months.
” I’ve always fought the feelings you know..” he sm-irk and look at my eyes without saying a word.” The first day I met you , I knew I was gonna fall for you. I tried to fight it but I couldn’t. I knew it’s gonna be risky but I was selfish. I still wanted you. Then I try to pick on you , fight with you so that I can just ignore whatever thing that’s growing inside of me. But it’s never working. It seems the more I fight it the more I noticed i can’t fight it at all. I doubt what I felt, but I realized that when I ask you to move to Dylan. I wanted to stay away from you but…”
What is he saying ? And now I’m scared because my mind is over thinking alre-ady.
