Chapter 78
( It’s time for the big blast)
Harry’s wedding is held in one of the most biggest event center in the city. Ray and Dorris arrived early as Ray was the best man.
Dorris saw Harriet and she quickly walked towards her to carry Isabelle.
“Wow! Isabelle is looking cute this morning”, Dorris said as she carried the baby.
“Oh my! So cute”, she said looking at the wriggling baby in her arms.
Harriet laughed.
” Trust me, Dorris. You won’t say she is cute if you see her crying and troubling me. She liked suc-king too much. Such a br@t”, Harriet said.
Dorris laughed.
“That’s cute too”, she said.

‘Trust me. You will un-derstand when you gave birth that it isn’t cool at all.’
Dorris was still holding Harriet’s baby when she saw the ushers leading Ray parents in. She saw Ava and an older couple probably her parents.
“Let’s go greet your parents in law”, Harriet said and Dorris took a de-ep breathe and walk towards Ray’s parents.
“Hello auntie and uncle”, Harriet greeted.
” Oi.. Our darling Harriet. How’re you?”, Mrs Dalton greeted.
“I’m fine ma”, Harriet replied smiling.
“How is your husband and daughter?”, Mr Dalton asked her, his gaze warm.
This us the first time Dorris will see Ray’s parents showing their kindness.
Each time she saw them, they are always cold.
They must really hate her!
Dorris hope there is something she could do to please them. She hoped there is a solution apart from leaving Ray.
She also knew that if she didn’t leave Ray they will never like her.
” My husband is here too. This is my daughter Isabelle”, Harriet said.
The moment Ray parent saw her standing behind Ray.
Their gaze turned cold.
“Hello ma ,Hello sir”, She greeted.
Mrs Dalton bat her lashes and walk away.
Mr Dalton also cleared his throat and ignored her too.
Dorris expected it so she did not feel bad at all but Harriet felt the awkward atmosphere.
” You….”, she wanted to say something but she just kept quiet.
The wedding ceremony started in ernest some minutes later.
The bride and groom cut the three tier wedding cake and everyone applauded as they ki-ssed.
The couple danced with a lot of people. Harry was so excited and he kept dancing and drinking.
“Tsk tsk. When a long time bachelor eventually got married, this is how they usually do”, Harriet teased.
Dorris laughed.
” Now it’s time to catch the bouquet!”, the Mc voice rang out.
“Let’s have our spinsters out here”, he said and all the unmarried ladies around stood up.
” Go Dorris”, Harriet told her.
Dorris raise her brow.
“Why? I’m married.”, she said.
” But you still haven’t held a wedding. Go catch the bouquet and tell Ray you are ready to get married.
At Last, Dorris went out. She saw Ava too among those that came out.
Soon Harley threw the bouquet and all the spinsters were at alert…….
“Wow, someone caught the bouquet. Does that mean that’s our next bride. You can as well invite me to anchor your wedding programme”, the MC said.
Dorris laughed.
She was excited to catch the bouquet. She walked down the stage with the other girls. She went to Ray.
” Babe, my mind skipped a bit when I saw you outside with the spinsters”, he said.
Dorris smiled.
“Harriet said I should go out after all, we haven’t held a wedding ceremony”, she replied.
Ray pinched her cheeks.
” You really want to marry this superstar?”, he asked her.
Dorris scoffed.
“What superstar? I only want to get married to the man I loved.”, she told Ray.
” Babe, let’s go home”, he said, his voice hoarse.
“Why should we go home now. I still want to taste some dishes”, Dorris said.
Ray hu-gged her.
” What are you doing,Murray? People are watching!”
Ray hu-gged her ti-ghter.
“Who cares? Baby, let’s go home, huh? I don’t think I can control my self. Let’s jilt Harry’s wedding and make babies”, Ray said shamelessly.
Dorris wouldn’t budge but when she heard ‘….and make babies’, she suddenly feel like going home especially when she remembered cute isabelle.
” Won’t Harry look for you?”, she asked, her voice tiny.
Ray smi-rked.
‘It works’
He knew she is giving in already.
“Don’t worry. That guy is busy with his new wife. I’m sure he wants to leave too. I’m sure he can’t wait to consummate his marriage.”
Dorris swallowed.
“Let’s leave then”, she said almost in a whisper.
Ray is so excited. He can finally remove that cloth. Yay!!!
” Harley, can’t we leave?”, Harry asked.
Harley sigh. He is asking the question for the umpteenth time.
“How can we leave? This is our own wedding!”, she responded in the same way she’s been replying him.
” I don’t un-derstand why you suddenly wants to leave! ”
Harry sigh.
“Who asked you to look so beautiful today? Whose fault is it?”, he asked her.
” Who is it that is out to se-duce me. Isn’t the main wedding ended? I’m getting frustrated!”, he told her.
Harley rolled her eyes.
“Who is seducing you? You’re the one who couldn’t control yourself! You should hold it in. The wedding is ending soon”, She told him.
Ava was enraged when Dorris caught the bouquet. She wanted to catch the bouquet and then tell Dorris that her wedding with Ray is the next and also tell Dorris that she was invited.
When she saw Dorris walked to Ray after catching the bouquet, her che-st ti-ghtened.
” That wench”.
And when she saw her flashing her seductive smile, a vein popped in her head.
‘I knew it! She charmed him. That temptress.’
She was watching them when Ray hu-gged her and she saw the way they are whispering to each other.
She was so upset when she saw the way they are interacting with each other lovingly.
She made up her mind.
‘I’m not going to hold back anymore. It’s time for the big blast’
And when she saw the way they sneaked out of the party. Her hated Dorris the more. She felt like strangling her to death.

(I will do anything to get Ray)
Vickey was at Toby’s. They are playing video games together. Whenever they are together,they will play video games, and do few indoor activities. They couldn’t go on dates like every other couples. They must not even leave any cue that lead to people founding out about their relationship. Toby’s career will come to an end immediately his fans find out that he is dating. He us at the peak of his career and he couldn’t afford to end it right now.
“I won again!”
Toby sigh.
“Let’s play something else. I don’t know how to play this”, he said.
” Not anymore. I just want to you to cud-dle me to sleep”, she told him.
“Do you think our relationship is boring?”, he asked her.
Vickey closed her eyes.
” What kind of question is that? “, she asked.
” I mean we couldn’t even go to fancy restaurant for dinner. I can’t take you on dates to the amusement park. We can’t go on a picnic and we can’t even go camping. I’m sorry baby”, he told her.
Vickey sigh.
“Boo,”, she called and sat up.
She cu-p-ped his face.
” I’ve decided that no matter what, no one can know about our relationship. Even if we can’t see our self for weeks, I wouldn’t mind. I know what will happen if your fans find out about us at this stage. I will wait patiently. After all, I still have to blow too”, she teased.
Toby was relieved when she heard what she said.
“Of Course, you have to be popular too.”
“So don’t worry about me. Let’s date secretly for years okay. It will be fun, trust me”, Vickey said.

Dorris woke up early that morning feeling sick. She had an advertisement later that day so she knew she had to be well. She washed up sluggishly feeling cold even though she used warm water.
Ray noticed that she is not her usual self.
“What’s wrong?”, he asked her.
Dorris sat down before the vanity table wrapped in her towel.
” I can’t even explain how I am feeling”, she replied weakly.
“Do you want to go to the hospital?”, he asked.
” I still have to shoot a commercial today and it is very important. I will just eat and use drugs”, she replied.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine”, she as-sured him and plugged the hair dryer.
Ray colleted the hair dryer from her and he dry her hair for her gently.
After that, he help her change into her dress.
He then carried her to the dining to eat her breakfast.
She ate small bits of the toast but immediately she drank the milk, she felt like puking. Ray put one of the bowl before her and she threw up in it.
” Are you okay, Dorris? I don’t think you will be able to go to work today. I will call your manager. They should postpone the shoot. I will take you to the hospital myself.”, Ray insisted.
Miss Preya sprinkled water on her face.
“Are you okay, young madam?”, Miss Preya asked.
” I’m fine”
“You’re not. Let’s go to the hospital”, he told her.
Dorris pouted.
After series of tests, the couple were seated in the doctor’s office. The Middle aged man is the Dalton family doctor.
The doctor entered the office holding the white envelope.
Dorris is already feeling slightly better.
The doctor sat down before them.
” Ray, why do you look so tense? There is nothing wrong with your wife. It’s rather a good news”, the Doctor said.
“She will feel strange for a while, it’s normal. It is also likely that she will experience the morning sickness. Do not fret. It is normal.”
Dorris felt that the doctor’s words are quite familiar…
Could it be….?
“What are you driving at, doctor?. What’s the good news?”, Ray asked the doctor.
” She is pregnant. Three weeks”, The doctor said when he saw how impatience the man is.
The couples showed no reactions for a while.
“You mean Dorris is with child?”, Ray finally asked.
” Yes. You have to take better care of your wife from now on. It will be nice if you could get a nutritionist for her too. You should also give her more of your attentions…….”
The doctor was still saying when Ray hu-gged his wife.
“I love you so much baby”, he told her and ki-ssed her.
” I’m really carrying your baby?”, Dorris asked.
“Yes, baby. It’s our baby. Thank you so much, Darling.”, he told her.
And they ki-ssed.
The doctor cleared his throat.
” I must warn you that you guys nee-d to be careful during the first trimester. It will be good if you could avoid doing it”, he said.
“Doing what?”, Ray asked.
The doctor cleared his throat again.
” That thing you did that led to you having that baby. Ray, you nee-d to control your hormones”, The doctor said.
“Thanks for the Info, Doctor Morgan. Please, do not tell anyone about this”, Ray said and walked out, holding Dorris carefully.
Dorris was in the shopping mall with Ashley.
” Don’t worry. I’m going to pick the best maternity dresses for you. We have to pick s-×y ones so that you won’t look old to your husband. You have yo continue teasing him even while pregnant”, Ashley said.
Dorris blus-hed.
“But the doctor said wr can’t do it. Why tease him?”, Dorris asked.
” You guys can have a slow s-×!”, Ashley said bluntly.
Dorris cheeks turn pink.
“Can you lower your voice, Ashley?”, she asked.
” Don’t worry. We are both adult”, Ashley said.
“Is this how you will be teasing my brother?”, Dorris asked.
Ashley laughed.
” Don’t worry about your brother. He likes it when I tease him “, Ashley said.
Dorris shook her head.
She tried to walk ahead Ashley and she bumped into someone.
Ava pushed her away rou-ghly and Ashley quickly held Dorris.
” Madam, what’s wrong with you? How can you push someone like that?”, Ashley asked.
‘Woman?’
Ava couldn’t believe that someone is addressing her as a madam.
“Why did she bump into me in the first place?”, She asked.
” Oh! It’s the gold digger that snatched my fiance”, Ava said pretending she just noticed Dorris.
Dorris smi-rked.
“You know this ugly vizen?”, Ashley asked Dorris.
” She is the fiancee that couldn’t even hold on to her own fiance”, Dorris replied.
Ava clenched her teeth.
“You…”
Before she could even think of what to say, Ashley and Dorris walked past her.
“We shouldn’t waste our precious time talking to people like that”, Dorris said.
Ava was so angry, her veins popping in her head.
‘Let’s see if you will still be able to talk to me like this in three weeks time. By then, you would have been six feet un-der the ground. I will do anything to get Ray. Even if I have to kill you’
Ava eyes flic-kered in a dull light……….
