Chapter 68
(Ray wants a baby)
Harley entered the house and was surprised to see the light on.
“Did I leave it on in the morning?”, she wondered.
Then she heard something dropping in the kitchen.
” Is someone there?”, she asked, holding her bag as a weapon.
“You’re home”, And Harry came out of the kitchen wearing a pink apron and a pink cap.
” Cute”, Harley muttered.
“Yeah. I know”, Harry replied.
” Go wash up. I made dinner”, he added.
“How did you enter my house?”, she asked him.
” Your birthday is your code”, he replied.
“You really want to get married to me, uhn?”, she asked him.
” Yes. I’m going to do all I can to please you”, Harry said.
“Do my laundry for me tomorrow then. I’m too lazy to do it”, She told him.
” Laundry? Of… Of course. I will do it for you!”, Harry said.
Harley smiled and walked into her room.
“Good morning sir”, Sophie greeted beaming with smile.
” Morning Miss Adams”, Douglas greeted.
“Tell all the team members, meeting is in five minutes”, Douglas added.
” Yes, sir”,Sophie said smiling.
She had a thing for Douglas and she had been hinting him for a while but he seems not to notice all of her gestures.
Sophie had made up her mind to make him take notice of her.
Once a woman is determined to get a man, there is nothing she will not do. That’s the case if Sophie Adams.
Dorris entered the house and was welcomed by Miss Preya.
“Is my husband home, Miss preya?”, she asked.
” Yes, young madam. He came in some minutes ago”, Miss preya responded.
“Oh!”, Dorris mouthed.
She walked up the stairs and saw the study slightly opened. She peeped in and Ray is there working on the computer.
“Wife, you’re home”, Ray said when he noticed her.
She walked to him and sat on his lap-s.
” hmm”
“How is it at the studio?”, he asked her.
” My album is almost done. I’m so tired”, She replied.
“Sorry”, he told her.
He then nibb-led on her lower li-ps and soon took all her li-ps in his.
Dorris wriggled while he was ki-ssing her and she woke the young man between Ray’s thigh.
Ray stopped to catch their breathe.
” Dorris”, he called, his voice hoarse.
“Yes”, Dorris responded, her voice low.
He wanted to say something but decided not to and ki-ssed her again. This time the ki-ss is pas-sionate.
While ki-ssing her, he unzi-p her dress and his hands found their way into her dress and started founding the pears in her br@.
Dorris gave low M0-ns and continue ru-b-bing herself on his laos, arousing the man even more.
Ray move his li-ps to her nose, her eyes and soon settled on her ne-ck, leaving a lot of marks there.
He leaned on her, his mouth still on her ne-ck.
” Dorris”, he called again.
“Murray”, Dorris replied almost in a whisper. She is so w£t down there and wondered while he keep stopping.
” Let’s make a baby”, he told her.
Dorris widen her eyes.
“I’m feeling insecure. My parents will not give up. They care so much about family background and they would not want to lose face among their peers and they will do anything to separate us. I’m afraid! What if you leave me and travelled far away. What if I never got to see you again. What if… There are so many what ifs. And U came to the decision to make a baby. That way, you won’t be able to leave me. Even if you leave me, you won’t be able to go far away. Even if you go, you will still come back. With the baby, we will have a reason to stay together for ever. Please Dorris”, Ray told her.
Dorris swallowed.
‘Why is he saying all these? Is he not thinking too far ahead?”, Dorris wondered.
She sigh.
” You have so many reason for us to have a baby and I have reasons why we shouldn’t. My career, my dream is at stake. I have just started and I nee-d to walk fas-ter. If I decided to have a baby now, it will only slow me down. Consider me, Murray. I can’t risk having a baby now. It is not that I don’t want to have a child with you but not now okay.
Give me time. Wait! I’ve given you my word. I won’t leave you. You are my world now, Murray. Please let wait. We will surely have a child together”
Ray knew she will surely give her career as an excuse. It is not that he doesn’t un-derstand but he just wanted to be selfish. He just want a baby with her.
“I un-derstand” is all he said before he drew her in for a ki-ss again. This time, the ki-ss is rou-gh. He keeps bi-ting on her li-ps as if he is punishing her but Dorris is not feeling pain at all. Instead she is enjoying the plea-sure!

(A strong Rival)
It’s weekend. Harley is sitting on the arm chair watching TV and drinking soda with chips. She is clearly enjoying herself while Harry is cleaning the house.
“Harley”, Harry called out.
“Yes”
“Can I go into your room? I want to clean.”, He asked her.
” Of course. Change the beddings too”, she told him.
“Anything for you”, Harry responded.
Harley smi-rked and continue enjoying herself.
Some minutes later Harry came out dressed in a over all. He’s sweating profusely.
“I’m done”, he told her.
” Oh! Can you help me fold the laundry you did the other day. I’m too lazy to do anything now.”, Harley told him.
“Can I rest for a while?”, He asked.
“You want to rest?”, Harley sigh. ” And here I’m thinking we should go for a date this evening after we are done with the chores.”
Harry widen his eyes.
“Date? Of course. Don’t worry. I will quickly fold the laundry for you. What’s in folding the laundry that I nee-d to rest? I’m not tired at all”, he said.
” Really? You can as well pick my outfit for the date when you’re done. Let’s see a movie”, She told her.
“Not Horror”, Harry said in horror remembering the horror movie from that time.
” Of Course. Let’s see a R0m-nce movie”, she told him.
Harry was excited that he quickly rush to do all that he have to do.
Douglas dropped the call as Sophie walked over. He just finished calling Ashley. He was actually on a business trip with Sophie. They are meeting some investors in this city. Sophie did all she could to follow Douglas here.
“I just finished talking to his as-sistant. We would be able to meet him tonight. We can go back tomorrow too”, Sophie reported.
” Okay. What time are we meeting him?”, he asked her.
“By 6:00pm tonight”, Sophie replied wearing her usual smile.
” Let’s lodge into a hotel and rest for a while”, he told her.
“Should we book a suite? I think it will be more comfortable”, Sophie suggested.
” We should not squander the company money. It will affect our Team later so let’s just book regular rooms”, Douglas told her.
Sophie smiled.
“Okay”
The meeting with the Investor went well and Douglas is in a good mood.
“Book early flight for us tomorrow”, he told her.
“Actually, there is a restaurant here that I’ve always wanted to visit. I’m wondering if you will accompany me to the restaurant tomorrow for a meal before we leave. I’m just asking though. You can decide not to go.”, Sophie lay her cards.
Douglas thought for a while.
” Let’s just go. It’s my treat “, he said.
” Thanks”, Sophie said.
Douglas didn’t notice that she had stop using Sir for him. He just smiled.
“Go to sleep. You work well today”, he said when they got to the hotel.
Sophie was waiting for him in the lobby dressed in a blue jumpsuit and silver stilettos and silver accessories.
She is carrying a white hand bag to match her dress. She wore light make up and she is no doubt very beautiful.
Soon she saw Douglas coming out of the elevator dressed in casual T shirt and Jeans.
This is the first time she will be seeing him dressing so casually.
He looked cool, she must admit.
After all, he is the man she fell for. She don’t expect any less from him.
” Good morning “, she greeted smiling.
Douglas returned her smile.
” Have you waited for long?”, he asked her.
“Just for a while”, she replied.
” I’m sorry for making you wait. Ms Adams”, Douglas said seriously.
“It’s okay. Let’s go now. I made a reservation for us.”, she told him.
He nodded and followed her.
It’s a private room and the room looks cozy. The environment here sure is appetizing.
Sophie pas-sed the menu to him.
He make his orders.
Sophie asked for the same thing he ordered.
Douglas still did not find it odd.
He brou-ght out his phone to text Ashley.
” Babe, I will be home by evening, Latest”, he sent.
The flight from this city back home is just a two hours flight.
Soon the waiters brou-ght the food and they ate. The food is very good. The dessert is okay too. Soon the table was cleared and Sophie ordered tea.
The hot tea was served.
“We don’t nee-d to drink this. We have a flight to catch you know”, he told her.
Sophie smiled.
” I wanted to talk to you about something.”, She said.
“What?”, He asked her.
Sophie sigh.
” It’s actually my first time doing this. I mean guys are always the one running after me and asking me out. I’ve been sending you signals for a while so you should un-derstand what I’m saying.”, Sophie rushed.
“Can you be more direct? I still don’t get your point”, Douglas told her.
” Douglas, I like you so much. Let’s go out.”, She told him as straight forward as possible.
Douglas laughed.
“I’m sorry. But I’m taken”, he told her.
Sophie raise her brows and asked.
” you’re married?”, she asked him.
“I’m not but I have a girlfriend.”
Sophie scoffed internally. ‘You’re rejecting me for a mere girlfriend? See this guy o.’
“Let’s our relationship remain formal. I don’t want to hear this again. I will forget this because it isn’t your fault after all you don’t know I have a girlfriend. I’m in a very serious relationship with my girlfriend so I wouldn’t want to have any relationship with other women. If you know you wouldn’t be comfortable with me, I will try my best to as-sociate less with you in the future”
Sophie clenched her fists.
‘What nonsense is he spouting? A serious relationship with girlfriend? ‘, she scoffed within her again.
“What’s there to be uncomfortable about? Who will want to be with a man that already had a girlfriend. I’m very glad that you’re honest unlike some other guys outside. I won’t bring this up again. Let’s maintain a formal relationship. I must add, your girlfriend is really lucky to have a righteous man like you. Men like you are rare in your species”, Sophie said smoothly.
Douglas felt at ease when he heard her words.
” Miss Adams is more sensible unlike some other women out there “, he said satisfied with her response.
Sophie gave a smile again.
She checked the watch on her wrist.
” We nee-d to go back to the hotel now or we will be late for our flight”,She said in a formal tone.
Douglas was very satisfied with her actions.
