Chapter 59
(How dare you bully my wife)
Louis could not believe his ears, this people just came suddenly and started throwing his things out.
“You have to vacate this place now”, one of the men said. Louis found it funny.
” Why? “, he asked.
“Rich people don’t nee-d excuses you know. They can do whatever they like”, a man said.
Louis found the voice familiar. He look very well and it is that guy from before_the secretary.
” What are you doing? This is my means of livelihood!”, Louis yelled.
The man smiled.
“You were warned weren’t you? It’s your place of work today, tomorrow it will be your house. Oh…. Your son lost his job too. By this time tomorrow. You will be on the street. And your precious trump card? She will regret meeting Ray. Trust me, this is not just bluffing”, the secretary said.
Louis was angry.
” How can you be so heartless?”, he asked.
The man laughed. He is really enjoying the look on Louis face. He like the helplessness written all over his face.
“I’m just doing my job. Congratulation on getting a long holiday”, he said.
He turned to leave then he paused and slowly turned around like he just remembered something.
” Let me give you one idea though, don’t bother hiring lawyers. You can if you wish to lose all your money though”, then he left.
Louis watched the men breaking things in his shop and felt like crying. He felt like breaking down. He felt like going to a bar and get drunk but he didn’t. He remembered the man’s words and called Dorris.
Dorris got down from the bus. Her dad said it is urgent. She walked into the street where her family house is located. She should have taken her own car but she taught it will be too flashy. Even though Dorris is wearing a mask, fans still recognized her. They’ve gotten intel that Dorris will visit that area.
Dorris felt something hit her. She tou-ched it in reflex and it was sticky. The fans came out of their hidden places and started throwing eggs, water and dirt on her.
Dorris could not even run. She was practically surrounded.
“We’ve gotten this bitc-h finally!”
“You think you can win it his heart? Keep dreaming”
“Ray is for everybody. You can’t try to selfishly go out with him. ”
“You’re so shame less.who you think you are to crush on our Ray. I feel
like crushing you to death”
“You’re just a lowly girl. You are incompatible. Stop day dreaming!”
“Leave Ray alone, you gold digger”
“You lowly thing. Ray is not for you!”
“Don’t tell me you think Ray is serious with you.”
“I’ve been seeing shameless girls but who knows you are one too”
Dorris wanted to cry. She wanted to breakdown. She felt embarras-sed. How can they do this to her in public. This is too much.
Dorris also knew this is not the much the fans can do but still……
Suddenly nothing is hitting her any more. She felt a warm embr@ce envelope her.
Ray had just found out that it was Ava that had found someone to announce his relationship with Dorris.
Ray knew it must be someone in power who can go against him.
He immediately call her but she ‘s not picking up. Ray knew she is not answering the phone.
He sent her a text message
“How dare you bully my wife”, he sent. Then he dialed Dorris’ number. The phone is jist ringing, she is not picking up.
Ray dialed the number again and she still isn’t picking up.
When the girls saw someone hu-gging Dorris, they all stop throwing things at her. One of the br@ve one among them asked.
” Who are you to interfere? Can’t you see we are punishing a bitc-h?”, she asked.
Immediately she asked the question, the guy hu-gging her turned to fave them.
“You….”
“O my God! It’s Guy”
“What’s his relationship to Dorris. Aren’t they in the same band before?”
“Is he standing up for her?”
“I think they are kind of close”
Before Guy could even say anything, the police siren was heard and the girls all scurry off. Guy led Dorris to het father house just two blocks away.
“Sorry”, he told her when they enter the elevator.
” I should be thanking you”, Dorris said.
Guy smiled.
“You’re welcome”
Dorris sigh. She just didn’t know how to behave around Guy after all, he confessed to her and it really looks like he liked her?
Soom the elevator opened.
“Go on. Clean your self and don’t step out today. They may still be around”, he told her staying back in the elevator.
” Hmm. Thanks”.
And the elevator closes.
Dorris looked down at her self. Another one of her outfit is gone. She wondered how to explain her current look to her dad.
She rang the door bell anyway.
Soon Douglas opened the door for her.When he saw her appearance, he was shocked.
She entered the house.
“What happened? Why are you like this?”, he asked.
” I met some weird fans just now”, she said casually.
“What? The fans have started bullying you? And you’re saying it so casually? You know they will never stop right. They can do something even worse than this!”, Douglas told her.
Dorris saw Louis came out of his room.
She stopped Douglas.
” It’s okay. Stop exaggerating things!”, she told him.
“Dad”, she greeted.
” I think you have to break up with Ray Dalton”

(I’m really useless)
Dorris thought she heard wrongly. Even Douglas was surprised.
“Dad”, he called.
Louis sigh.
“I don’t want to do this but I can’t help it. I mean….”, he sigh.
” I don’t know what to do. I’m scared! This people are really people we can not go against. I am afraid I won’t be able to protect you from them. Dorris, can’t you just leave him?”
Dorris did not say anything .
“Dad, what are you saying?”, Douglas asked.
” They came over to the shop earlier today. My means of livelihood was taken away. They even saud they are behind you loosing your job. That’s not the point, the point is they are swearing on Dorris life! I’m so scared. I know this might sound as nonsense but I feel like those are not empty words”
“They came over to your shop?”, Dorris asked surprised.
” They did.”, Louis replied.
“You lost your job too?”, Dorris asked turning to Douglas.
Douglas only nodded.
” I’m really sorry”, Dorris said.
“This is all my fault”, she added.
” Sis, what are you saying? We are family. Family don’t say such things as sorry to each other. We are here for one another”, Douglas said.
He turned to his Dad.
“Dad, don’t worry. Dorris will be fine I promise you.”, Douglas told his father.
” Stop worrying about nothing”, he added.
He looked at his sister. What is that guy doing that he allowed his sister be bullied by his fans?
“Sis, you go and wash up. Sleep over, I will call Ray”, he told Dorris.
Dorris nodded and walked to her room.
Douglas fist his hands and sent a text to someone.
Douglas entered the bar and saw him there.
” Dorris?”, Ray asked immediately he saw Douglas.
“I heard she was bullied today”, he added.
Douglas ignored him and sat down. He pour himself a drink.
” Is she at your place?”, Ray asked again.
“She is at home”, Douglas simply said.
” Her dad’s place…. Your place?”, Ray asked.
“Yes. Home”, Douglas replied.
Ray sigh.
” How is she?Hope she is not hurt? Have you checked at the hospital? Is she okay? Is she really mad at me? I am really sorry. Everything is my fault. Is she not coming home tonight?”, he asked all at once unlike himself.
“She is already at home. Which other home are you talking about? Do you expect her to go back to the house of a husband that can not even protect her? ”
Ray eyes darken.
“What are you talking about?”, Ray asked.
“Are you saying you’re not aware that it is the people from your side that are targeting my family? They made me lose my job, they destroyed my dad place of work and now my sister is hunted by your fans!”, Douglas told him.
This is the first time Ray will be seeing Douglas so serious.
Ray sigh when he heard all Douglas said.
” I’m really sorry”, he said.
“I promise to take care of all this. Just take care of your sister tonight. I’m sure she will be upset with me.”, Ray sighed again.
” I’m really useless”, he said and downed a glas-s of liquor.
“I can’t even protect my woman. I’m so useless”, he said again.
Douglas watched him and felt he was too harsh with his words but he just couldn’t help it.

Dorris slept in. She couldn’t sleep early yesterday night. She missed Ray. She wanted to run to him but she didn’t. Maybe she was really a coward. She felt bad for leaving her husband immediately something happened and she made up her mind to run to him early in the morning and apologise for being so weak and for being wavered for a while. She was not able to sleep until she made that decision.
She woke up to someone calling her.
“Sis! Sis! Sis! Are you awake?”, Douglas asked.
There is some kind of emergence in his voice.
” Come in”, she told him, sitting up and ru-b-bing her eyes.
“Good afternoon bro”, she greeted after glancing at the wall clock.
” Yeah. Sis, hurry up and start packing. We nee-d to move now or we will be thrown out. We can only pick few things though”, Douglas told her.
“What?”, Dorris was surprised.
” I mean why are we moving? Dad bought this apartment, didn’t he?”, she asked.”Are we relocating or what?”, she asked.
“Just take few important things. We have no time to waste. We just nee-d to leave this place now”, Douglas told her.
Louis entered the room.
” Are you done? They gave us two hours to vacate this place, hurry!”, he said.
“But dad, where do we go?”, Douglas asked.
” Still don’t know.”, Louis replied, his eyes sad.
“Dad, is it my husband parents again?”, Dorris asked.
Louis cleared his throat.
” No time for Small chat. Hurry”, he said and walk out of the room.
At the same time Ray is doing a press conference.
A lot of reporters are at Rays entertainment. The hall is full.
Soon Ray walked in followed by Dorothy and Jerome.
Dorothy took the microphone.
“The press conference will now start. All your questions should be about the scandal involving our President please. This press conference is meant to clarify things.”, She said.
The reporters have so many questions. They are so happy when they were notified that there will be a press conference and they prepare several questions that they are sure the people will want to know.
” Chairman Ray, I’m Gold from sissy TV. Is it true that you’re seeing an artiste signed with your company? “, she asked.
” Yes”, Ray simply replied.
Ava was watching the press conference on her Tab. She thought Ray is going to deny Dorris on camera and that will be a good opportunity for her. She is going to publicly announce that she was Ray fiancee and that they will be getting married soon. She is so sure that the netizens will not be able to do anything to her after all, she os a socialite.
But Ray admitting to their relationship just ruined her plan.
“Is that artiste Dorris, a former member of the Rays?”, another reporter asked him.
” Yes”, Ray replied again.
“Your fans as-saulted her yesterday, are you aware?”, another reporter asked.
” Yes. That’s the purpose of this conference. I want to tell all those that as-saulted her yesterday that they are a disgrace to their families. They are not my fans. My fans will want happiness for me and will not hurt the person I like and as a matter of fact, I’m no more in the entertainment industry. I’m now a business man. I am sure none of you will want to see my other side. I am not the popstar you know. No one is allowed to bully my wife. Whosoever bully my wife again will regret it all their life. I will make sure of that”, Rat said.
The reporters were surprised at Rat words.
One of them quickly asked.
“Chairman Dalton, do you just call Dorris your wife?”, she asked him.
” yes”, Ray replied.
“We are married. We just kept it away from the public”, Ray answered.
“You didn’t hold a wedding did you?”, Another reporter asked.
They are all excited about this news. It is such a hot potato. The most eligible bachelor around is taken.
” We didn’t. We will hold one soon”, Ray replied.
“The conference has ended”, he said and walk away. The reporters are frantic. They still have so many questions.
Ava fisted her fingers.
She was so angry. How dare him publicize their marriage? Is he not afraid that it will stain his family reputation. Ava was even more angry that her parents will see this. They will probably tell her to give up. They might try to set her up with other guys from nice families but Ava didn’t want any of them. All she wants is Ray. Why is he so difficult to get.
Just what is it that the girl possess that she didn’t have? How can she lose to a wretched girl.
Over her dead body. She will marry no one but Ray. Nobody else will do. Only Ray is enough.
He is manageable. She wants Ray!

She must get him!

It’s only normal to face a lot of challenges in love. This is one of the obstacles of love. She have to cross it. She will do anything in her power. She will do everything she can. She will not lose to that wretch girl.
