I sighed staring at my plate of salad and turkey with no appetite to eat.
Dave asked me out and I am so confused.
On one hand, I feel something for Dave but a feeling is slowly developing in my heart for Ryan.

I feel so confused.
I really do not wanna make a silly mistake.
After dinner, I opted to watch the stars meters away from the building.
Maybe some cool night air might do me good.
I ran my fingers throu-ghmy hair letting out a sigh.
“Hey! Nitwit!”
I turned to see two girls approaching where I stood.
“You got no tongue?” Lesley snapped and I scoffed.
“What is it?” I asked with an eyeroll.
“Stay away from Ryan.” Paige snapped like a venomous reptile.
” Ryan is not your cla-ss nor type. Go get your own boyfriend and let Ryan be . I am seriously warning you now,the next time I see you anywhere close to him…”Lesley warned with a tough glare and left with Paige leaving me stunned to the core.

I get the fact that he is good looking and friendly but, I feel alot more better around Dave.
He isn’t so popular and I have no one to drag him with but in the case of Ryan, I would possibly have to fight a planet of girls before I find peace with him.
After my last relationship, Dave captured my heart no doubt.

“I can’t” I muttered with a pang of pain.
“Falling for Ryan is one thing, accepting it is another which is so ha-rd especially when I can’t have him”I muttered worried.
” Diana..who are you talking to?”I heard Denise call out to me and I froze then turned to see her and Delia.
“Oh!..” I let out a nervous chuckle.
“Um…” I itched my hair.
“No one really. I always talk to myself. It’s alot more relieving”I said and they chuckled.

As I applied my lotion after returning from the bathroom, I heard Denise gasp.
“What happened to your wai-st Diana?” She asked and tou-ched the sp-ot Ryan had held me that night.
It had actually grown a temporary scar.
“It’s a finger print” Delia added.
“Finger prints” Denise corrected and they faced me.
“What?” I asked pulled on my long sleeved bu-tton up shirt.
“How did you get that scar?” Denise quried and I sighed.
” I kinda bruised myself okay?”I defended and they stared at me as if they knew I was only lying.
I seriously can’t tell them I kis-sed Ryan and got that scar, they would freak out.
“I am fine girls” I groa-ned and prepared to wear my socks and flats.

As cla-sses went on, I hoped Dave had already gotten the note I sent him about me wanting to see him.
I have decided to move on from my past break up and try again.
No doubt, Dave is the perfect one for me.
No sooner, the bell for long recess came and I felt my heart miss a beat.
I packed up my books and headed out of the cla-ss, straight for the orchard.
Since he asked me out there yesterday, I would give him the answer there today.
“Diana!..” I froze upon hearing that familiar voice.
I turned facing Ryan who had a boyish smile on.
“Hey!..” He cooed and I only gave him a light smile.
“I was wondering if we could hang out. We really haven’t spent time together after… ”
” No!.. Don’t say it”I interrupted him.
” Don’t remind me”.
Ryan pulled on a crumpled look.
” I need to go somewhere. Am busy right now” I said with a sigh and hurriedly left.
Why did he have to show up!?.
He always succeed in messing up my thoughts whenever we meet.
As I approached the large orchard, I took in long de-eper breaths before walking in throu-ghthe gate.
I headed for the sp-ot I was at yesterday and met Dave there already as he turned to see me and pulled on a wide smile.
“Diana…” He cooed and pulled me into a long warm hug which I really needed.
After a while, we disengaged as I tucked hair behind my ear.
Dave never moved his gaze off me making me feel flattered.
“You look pretty today” He complimented and I smiled.
“Thanks alot Dave” I replied and he only smiled.
” You wanted to tell me something”He suddenly said.
” Oh!.. yeah.. right”I stuttered and sighed.
“Um.. about your proposal” I began and Dave arched a brow in obvious suspense.
“It’s a ‘Yes'” I notified and Dave beamed happily
” I will be your girlfriend Dave”I added and he sighed de-eperly pulling me into a longing hug.
“Thank you so much Diana. I love you” He sighed happily as I held him so close.
” I love you too”I cooed and he broke the hug staring into my eyes.
“You have made me so happy today Diana. I am so lucky to have you as mine now”Dave said and I felt my cheeks heat up badly.
” Let’s go have our first official lunch together” Dave suggested holding my hand as we made an exit.
I expected to feel happy totally but only a part of me felt happy.
Something felt so off to me..

I took a tireful sip of my soda and sighed.
“Dude, what’s wrong with you? I hate the downcasting look on your face”Nathan said.
” Am fine”I muttered and sighted Diana walking into the building and I let out a smile which vanished as fast as it came.
She walked in with Dave as they even held hands. ?
My gaze was glued on them as they made their order and occu-pied a booth not too far from mine.
I watched as they began to eat and talk in an obvious happy manner.
Dave would occasionally say something which would make Diana turn red and it made me so uncomfortable.
I noticed a senior male student walk up to their booth and said something earning a ha-rd glare from Dave.
The boy tried touching Diana which made me almost jump out of my seat but relaxed a while as Dave stood up.
“Back off Andrew!” Dave snapped as the boy laughed irritatingly.
The students attention by that time had already been captured.
“Why? Is she your Juliet you mor*n. I wasn’t talking to you okay” The Andrew boy said and Diana stood up.
” Quit it okay? You have fooled yourself enough. Now leave”Diana spat and Andrew scoffed.
” I am your senior hottie, mind your tongue” Andrew warned.
” Like I care. Go find your own girlfriend okay?” Diana snapped and stormed out of the building.
” Hold on.. did I hear that newbie right?” Carl said.
“I thought I had suddenly gotten an ear defect. Are they dating? “Nathan asked which made me glare ha-rd at him.
” Stop it Nathan”I growled as they stared at me surprised.
They can’t be dating. Am certain of it. ?
I looked over at the booth where Dave stood gathering the snack as Andrew chuckled darkly.
“Romeo..” He teased and Dave glared at him before leaving.

“Babe!” I heard Dave call after me and I turned sharply to see him hurrying to me while holding our snacks.

” Yeah. I gave him a reply today only for that bully to come and ruin our lunch”I replied.

All the whispers around the senior grade was about the said to believe fact that Diana is dating Dave.
The more I tried to believe that it is not true, the more I sp-otted Diana and Dave acting like love birds.
After cla-sses, Dave carried her bag with his as they walked to the dorm area holding hands.
I bounced the ball around with all my might and aimed at the net throwing the ball in and missed.
That was my tenth miss this evening.
I ran my fingers throu-ghmy hair and sighed heavily staring at the empty basketball court I stood in.
Memories I never wanted to come in fought their way into my head.
I can’t believe Diana went ahead to date Dave.

I know I never asked her out but I like her so very much.
I feel so hurt within and hated the feeling.
I fell for her f**lishly and now I have to get out of this horrible feeling.

Diana made the right choice by dating Dave.
Now I know my Ryan is all mine.
But.. for the fact that Diana betrayed me by sticking close to Ryan, I will make her pay dearly.
I smrinked watching Ryan feeling so down.
He would need me now more than anything or anyone but a part of me growled angrily about the fact that Diana dating Dave is affecting him this much!
I pulled on a concerned face and walked into the court, heading for where Ryan stood.
“Ryan…” I called tenderly and he turned to see me and hug-ged me suddenly like I would vanish soon enough.

I laughed heartily as Dave chased me around the open field and finally caught up with me.
“Told ya am fast” Dave grinned pulling me close to him in a hug and I chuckled.

” I love you so much babe”Dave cooed and I blus-hed.
These past two weeks has been so much fun.
I saw less of Ryan which was a relief and more of Dave who made my life colourful. ?
He is way better than my st*pid grade 9 ex.

I broke off from the hug and began to run as fast as I could.
“Oh no you don’t!” Dave said and began to chase after me. ??

While I spoke to Ryan as we strolled, I noticed him stare absently at the field only to see him watching Diana and her boyfriend having their normal lover’s play. ?
“Um.. Ryan” I called.
“Mmh?..” He replied sharply facing me.
” I seriously don’t un-derstand you offlate. You tend to forget that am with you and it hurts”I began acting out my lines and he sighed.
” Am so sorry bestie. Am just… stressed” He groa-ned.
” That’s not an excuse Ryan”I pouted.
“Ok fine. What can I do to make it up to you? “Ryan offered and I smiled.
” Are you really asking me?” I beamed.
“Yeah. I really want to make it up to you Corriene”He replied.
