?Hyuna’s POV?
I was lying on the m@$$ive be-d, gazing blankly at the high ceiling while wondering if I’ll ever see the people I care about again
Will I ever see Oppa again?
Will I ever see my family again?
I don’t even know where I am anymore….
Am I still in Singapore?
Gosh, this is torture……I haven’t even been able to close my eyes and have a good sleep. All I do is lie on this be-d and think until my br@in is too tired to do so…
A loud cli-ck from the door broke into my sad thoughts. I sat up quickly and waited to see who was coming in…. my eyes wide-ned when Suho’s sister walked in with two men who were wearing masks
“You?” I gasped, looking at her while sliding down from the be-d. She smiled at me and came to stand face to face with me
“Hello, miss Kim Hyuna. Do you remember me?” she asked in English
“Of course I do, you’re Suho Hamatoyuoshi’s sister” I replied and her smile wide-ned
“Well I’m so glad you recognized me. By the way, my name is Karai Hamatoyuoshi. The only daughter of the prese-nt Earl of the Hamatoyuoshi empire” she said proudly and I stifled a snort
“Well I would have said that it was nice to meet you but since you’re obviously the one who had me abducted…. I can’t say so” I uttered and she giggled
“I totally un-derstand and I promise not to hold it against you. I also promise not to hurt you, as you can see we’ve been taking quite good care of you”
“I just want to know why I’m here. What do you want with me?” I snapped irritably but she smiled again
“You’re here because you’re the only person my brother truly cares about apa-rt from our mother. So I’m using you as bait to get what I want from him” she mouthed and I gasped
“I’m afraid you’re terribly mistaken, Suho doesn’t care about me…. I’m like a slave to him!” I said and she laughed
“Don’t bother denying it…..I know that the two of you are lovers and these pictures prove that” she remarked and one of the men handed her an envelope.
She took it from him and p@$$ed it to me. I snatched it from her and pulled out the printed photos……..there were about 4 of them and they were all pictures of Suho and I together.
The first one was when we were standing by the sidewalk the day he took me shopping……….. the second was a picture of him carrying me in a bridal style at night time right in front of the hotel we were staying in.
The third one looked like it was taken from a hidden angle. It was the day I requested to talk to him by the pool side. And the last one was a clear shot of him and I at the prime minister’s pa-rty; with my hands placed on his che-st and his wrapped around my wa-ist while we stared into each others eyes
I scoffed and looked back at Karai
“These pictures don’t prove anything…… it’s not like we were ki-ssing or hu-gging in any of them” I mouthed and she shrugged
“That’s true…..but I know my brother very well; he’s rarely seen with a woman more than once. You’re the only woman he’s been sp-otted in public many times with so how can you deny the fact that you’re his lover?” she replied and I shook my head tiredly
It was clearly no use arguing with her, she’s going to think whatever she wants anyway
“Well, I just came to say hi…. I was actually on my way to go meet up with your boyfriend. Don’t worry, he behaves and does as he’s told; then you’ll be out of here by tomorrow” she uttered and my eyes beamed
“See you later then” she added and flounced out of the room with her guards trailing behind her.

My driver pulled the car over in front of the warehouse and I alighted. I stood right before the entrance and looked to the east, the sun was getting ready to set…. I hope Karai gets here soon so we can get this over with already.
The sound of a car coming towards the warehouse made me turn to it’s direction. I watched as a black transporter pulled over and all the doors swung open. Ritchie and 5 of my men jumped down from it and walked up to me
“Hey Ritchie, I’m so glad you came. I’m really gonna nee-d you when Karai arrives. How was your grandmother’s funeral by the way?” I said to Ritchie and he shrugged
“It was like any other funeral; the women crying and wailing while the men just stayed quiet. I boarded a flight back here as soon as I got your message” he replied and I nodded slowly
“I still can’t believe your sister took Hyuna though……. I mean what thefu-ck was she thinking? Hyuna doesn’t deserve to be dragged into all of this!” he uttered and I exhaled
“Well she never should have gotten to Hyuna in the first place. It’s all my fault…. I should have known better” I muttered, bi-ting my lower li-p with my eyes fixed on my shoes. Ritchie sighed and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder
“Don’t beat yourself up too much….. …let’s just find out what Karai wants and see if we can give it to her” he remarked and I snapped my head up to meet his sky-blue gaze
“What the hell do you mean by; ‘see if we can give it to her’? We’re not exactly in a position to choose if we’re going to pla-y along or not. We don’t have a bloody choice! Hyuna’s safety is at stake here, I’ll do whatever that bitc-h Karai says cause I know what she’s capable of when she’s pissed. I won’t let her take out her anger on Hyuna!” I rasped and he kept quiet
?”Boss, they’re here”
One of my men announced as three SUV’s pulled up before us and the doors swung open. Karai and 12 of her men alighted. We waited for them to get to us, Karai was smiling mischievously and I rolled my eyes at her
“Brother, it’s so good to see you again!” she mouthed in English and I scoffed
“Can you stop being unbearable for once in your life, Karai? Just tell me what thefu-ck you want in exchange for Hyuna” I said and her smile wide-ned
“Oh, you know what I want” she mused
“No, I honestly don’t….. just spit it out!”
“Fine……..I want you to sign this docu-mment that states that you wish to transfer your inheritance to me. This means that you will have to forget all about your silly dreams of taking over the empire from father” she uttered while holding up a file to me and I heard a loud bang in my head. I blinked rapidly and paused for a while
“What’s wrong, brother? Can’t do it? Can’t give up the empire for your lover?” she taunted and I scowled at her
“You can’t do this, Man. You’ve come so far to give up everything now. You can’t give your father and Karai the plea-sure of watching you wave the white flag so easily” Ritchie whispered to me
“You can keep everything you found in the safe that’s here in Singapore, you can also keep SELTOS…….but you have to take your eyes off the empire” Karai mouthed
“Forget about it, Karai…….he’s not gonna do it. He’s not signing that bloody paper!” Ritchie growled at her and turned to me again
“Don’t do it, Suho. There has to be another way…..I can’t stand here and watch you give up everything!” he rasped and Karai’s eyes blazed
“Suho!” she called and I turned to her. She was unsmiling now and looked very determined
“I wouldn’t listen to your foreign friend if I were you…” she uttered in Japanese and I narrowed my eyes
“If you don’t sign this docu-mment, I’ll pump the girl with bullets and dump her bo-dy in the South China seas!!” she threatened in Japanese with her eyes blazing like a maniac
“What the hell is she blabbing on about? Don’t listen to whatever she’s saying, Suho” Ritchie enthused
“Sign the damn docu-mment or I’ll cut off the girl’s head and se-nd it to you as a wrapped gift!” Karai continued issuing out threats in Japanese and Ritchie kept trying to persuade me not to listen to her
I stayed silent the whole time, I wasn’t even listening to them. I was having a mental debate of my own;
Hyuna? OR the Hamatoyuoshi empire?
I had to choose one…..
If I don’t sign the docu-mment; Karai will kill Hyuna before midnight……THAT, I’m sure of
But if I sign the docu-mment; I’ll never wear the family’s heirloom. I’ll never sit on the throne of my family’s vast empire. I’ll never get to see the look of shock on my father’s face when he sees me ascend the throne
I thought about what it would feel like to wear the ring, the power and influence I would obtain from it. I saw myself sitting on the throne with people bowing down to me…. just the mere thought of it felt nice
Then I thought of Hyuna…..I thought of that night we had spent together when she was drunk. I thought of how wild her ki-sses had driven me, how good it had felt to hold her in my arms…….. the thought of all these didn’t feel NICE.
It felt wonderful, exhilarating, amazing and awesome all at once!
I was in love for the first time in my life and I’m definitely not going to let my lunatic of a sister murder the woman I’m in love with all because of an empire…..
“Enough!” I snapped and Ritchie and Karai kept mute immediately. I looked up at Karai who was staring at me with expectant eyes
“Alright….. I’ll pla-y your game, Karai” I muttered and her eyes beamed, Ritchie growled and cli-cked his tongue
“Wise choice, brother. Very wise” Karai mouthed as she handed the docu-mment over to me with a ball pen on it
I swiped them from her and fli-pped the docu-mment open. I scanned throu-ghthe printed lines which said that ;
*I would not come 2 metres close to anyone in the family
* I would not step foot in any of the family’s properties apa-rt from the ones that are already in my possession
The terms and conditions were endless but I made sure I quickly scanned throu-ghall of them. I looked over my shoulder and saw that Ritchie was reading it too, our eyes met and he threw me a resigned look
“Do you nee-d your lawyer to be prese-nt before you sign it?” Karai asked
“I went to law school bi-tch , I’m hisfu-cking lawyer” Ritchie growled at her and I chuckled at her angry expression
I picked up the pen and scrawled my signature onto the provided spaces before fli-pping the docu-mment shut and handing it back to Karai who was beside herself with joy
She peered at the docu-mment with a smile on her face before handing it to one of her men
“So where is she?” I asked
“She’s in Japan”
“What! You flew her all the way to Japan?!” I shrieked and she huffed
“Do you want her back or not?”
“Of course I do”
“Then be at our former house in Japan before tomorrow” she uttered and walked away with her men trailing behind her. They all climbe-d into their cars and zoomed off
“Well……. now what?” Ritchie breathed and I shoved my hands into my pockets
“Now….. we go to my home country” I replied while gazing into space
