The vibration on the phone caught Miguel’s attention and that’s when he noticed Austin’s phone on the table.
“Where is he? He wondered as he eyes-searched him but couldn’t see a glimpse of him.
“Nadine, have you see Austin? He asked.
” He went this side, maybe inside the house” Nadine said while Miguel nodded and walked out of the garden.
“Sir.. Miguel..,” one of the maid quickly ran to him when she sight him coming.
“What’s wrong?
“Ca-ssie… The new girl.. someone is trying to take advantage of her,” she said all at once trying to catch her breathe.
She was about talking more food to the garden when she saw them, she try to stop Austin but he wouldn’t listen.
Miguel quickly rushed to the sitting room, shocked by what he saw.
“Austin! Miguel yelled in rage, he dragged him away from Ca-ssie and punched him.
“How dare you” Miguel punched him again but this time Austin retaliate back and hit Miguel.
” Who is she? And why are you hiding her in here? Austin asked in rage.
“That’s none of your business! Miguel sneered at him while he laughed.
“Miguel…. You always think you have everything. First it was Dianne then Stacy and now this girl, you should have let me have my own way with her,” Austin fired back trying to hit Miguel but he dodged it and from there they began to exchange dangerous blow. Ca-ssie watch in horror, sacred of what they outcome might be.
“Please stop,” she yelled.

@ The Garden..✨
“The two friends are fighting we need to stop them,” two of the guards quickly rushed and reported to Mr. Josie.
” Which of the friends? He asked icily.
” Sir Miguel and Sir Austin,”
Nadine eyes wide-ned in shocked. They were cool with each other just few minutes ago so what would have cause the fight between them,” she thought.
She quickly rushed to the house to see for herself.
“Miguel.. what’s wrong with the two of you? She fumed when she walked in.
“Please stop them Nadine,” Ca-ssie cried.
“Can you just stop! She yelled.
” you’ll always be the failure that you are,” Miguel growl at Austin, he held him by the collar then pushed him. Austin staggered back pushing Nadine who was behind to him.
“Nadine! Julianna yelled, shocked to see Nadine on the floor when she walked in.
“Ah… My stomach,” Nadine yelled in tears.
“Nadine,”
Miguel quickly rushed to her as he help her stand up.
“My baby,” she cried.
“What did you do to her? Leonard asked glaring at Austin who just stood watching what was happening in fear.
“She’s bleeding,” Ca-ssie yelled…

Nadine was quickly rushed to the hospital while Austin left the house. Ca-ssie seems so confused not knowing if she should follow them or not.
“It’s because of you all this are happening. Austin and Miguel are very good friends and nothing in this world have ever come between them but you did! Ever since you came things has not been going on fine in this family and you want to involved my children to help you take whatever useless revenge you want. Am done with you in this house, now leave,” he ordered.
” Am sorry sir.. am sorry,”. Ca-ssie whimpered as she fell on her knees and pleaded with him.
“And if anything bad should happen to my grandchild you’ll definitely pay,” he snarled.
” Now leave!
“I will leave tomorrow morning but it’s already late,” she pleaded.
” I don’t care,” he said, then called the security guards to throw her out.
Ca-ssi checked the time on the wall clock and noticed it getting to 9pm and she don’t even know anyone around here, how can she possibly leave this night.
“Throw her out,” Mr Josie ordered the guards and they dragged Ca-ssie out and locked the gate.
She held her little bag and wondered what next to do, she can’t possibly move an inch because she have no money, nothing at all but she need a shelter to sleep for the night…

“Push….. Julianna said, with the midwives behind her. That same night Nadine got into a force labor due to the fall.
“I can’t mom… Am going to die,” she cried.
“Just give it a try.. it’s your baby’s life at stake Nadine, ”
Nadine closed her eyes in pains as she remembered Lorenzo. He’s dead already and she can’t afford to loose his child again, her son have to survive..
“En… Zo……”. Nadine yelled in pains as she held the bedsheets so tight and whimpered.
And in few seconds, she heard the cry of a little baby…
“My son Eric,” she muttered, as she slowly closed her eyes.
“Nadine! Julianna called in shocked as she checked the heart rate machine
connected to her. The top wavy line on the hospital monitor were going straight
“Nadine!!!!!!!!! ??
” It’s shows a straight line, no heartbeat,” one of the nurse said .
Julianna held Nadine’s arm trying to check if there’s pulse..
“There’s no pulse,”

“Thank you so much,” Ca-ssie thank the man as she got down from his car. She had no where to go and she decided to just go to the Montes Medical Center to know how Nadine is doing and to see Miguel maybe he can be of help. She felt relief the man was kind enough to drive her down there for free.
“What if Mr Josie sees me? She thought as she walked in.

“How is Nadine doing? Josie asked when Julianna came out of the ER.
“She’s stable for now. I thought am gonna lose my daughter. I don’t know what I would have done if anything bad should happen to Nadine, ” she cried while Josie pulled her into a hug.
” Nadine is a strong woman, she’s a fighter just like you. I know she won’t easily give up on us and most importantly her son, he need her now, ” he cooed.
” Where is she and the baby? He asked, then broke the hug.
“Let go and see them,”

Josie trail behind her as they got to the next room. Josie walked straight to Nadine who was still unconscious on the bed.
“You have to survive this Nadine,” he said with a sad voice. He wondered why all these have to happen.
“Mom, dad! ” Miguel called as he walked in seeing his parents there.
“I chase that Ca-ssie away,” Josie said to him.
“Ca-ssie! When?
” This night, ”
” But she have nowhere to go, ” Miguel said.
” I don’t care Miguel, remember it’s your carelessness that lead your sister to this condition if you haven’t fought with Austin then all these wouldn’t have happened, ” Josie scolded him.
” Can you just stop pushing the blames on Miguel. All that happen has happened already so why pushing blames. We should be grateful that Nadine is stable now and her son is doing okay, ” Julianna said, she walked to the crib to see her grandson.
” Am sorry dad! It’s all my fault,” Miguel sigh as he walked to the crib of the little baby.
“Welcome home,” Julianna smiled.
Miguel just stare at the little baby, his mind was filled with lots of worries, he silently pray his sister will recuperate fast to be with her son and what about Ca-ssie? Where could she have gone too this night?

Ca-ssie sat down at the waiting area hoping to see Miguel by chance, she wondered how Nadine is doing.
“Miguel” she called, surprised to see him. She was scared she might get to see Mr. Josie first.
“Ca-ssie! Miguel was as well surprised to see her but he felt so relief.
“Dad told me everything, am sorry about it,” he said
” I should be the one to apologise. I think I have overstayed my welcome in your house. Your dad is right, ” she sighed.
” No Ca-ssie,” he said
” How is Nadine? She quickly asked.
“She’s fine and her baby is fine too,”
“Baby? She gave birth? Ca-ssie asked with a light smile, she felt so happy for Nadine.
“Yeah,” Miguel nodded.
“Am so happy for her, ”
” We have to get out of here first, ” Miguel said as he walked out while Ca-ssie trailed behind him until they got outside.
“Enter the car I want to take you somewhere safe, ” he said..

⏭️The drive was quite long and they both kept quiet during the drive until they arrived to their final destination in a very huge beautiful mansion.
“You’ll be staying here,” he said, when they got down from the car. Ca-ssie was surprised, staring at the beautiful mansion in front of her.
“Let’s go in,” he beckoned her to follow him and she did.
“Wow.. where is this place? She asked when they got inside.
“One of my Mansion. This the closest one to town, am sure you’ll be safe here, ”
” Alone? Ca-ssie asked.
“Yes.. why asking? Are you scared?
” I appreciate but…
.. The dark clouds gather outside and the thunder rumbled sending terrifying sounds.
“What! Ca-ssie said looking around, she felt scared already.
“It’s gonna rain anytime soon. Maybe I will stay here for the night. Make yourself comfortable,” He said then headed upstairs while Ca-ssie quickly trailed behind him.
“you can stay here,” he said pointing to the opposite room to his room there.
“Thank you so much … Mi..guel,” she smiled then walked to the room and heaved a sigh of relief, she wondered how her life would have been if she haven’t gone to the hospital to meet him and right now it already raining so heavily. She would have been wandering helplessly in such heavy rain. The heavy downpour and the thunder were so loud and scary that she quickly jump on the bed and got into her duvet.

Few days Later…

“Do you still think am the bad guy? Austin asked perplexed.
“What you did would have left the innocent girl in trauma and Nadine have to suffer for it too. You’re just too crazy Austin, try not to get on my nerves again,” Miguel warned.
” I was drunk, I didn’t know what I was doing. You should know me by now Miguel I will never do such thing to hurt anyone,”
” You should have yourself to blame. Something doesn’t seems right with you anymore, maybe what Lorenzo have been saying was just the plain truth about you. Anyway it’s okay,”
” What are you insinuating with that? Austin asked.
“It’s nothing,”
“And who is she by the way? And why being over protective towards her, it’s not like you care because I know she’s just probably one of your toys..
“How dare you say that! Miguel moved close to him raging in anger, Austin chuckle seeing how angry he was already.
“Whoah…. You need to see yourself, getting angry for nothing. It’s okay Miguel the most important thing is that the girl is safe and Nadine has put to bed successfully, that should be our celebration,” Austin smirked while Miguel shook his head and left without saying anything.
“I need to know who that girl is..” Austin said to himself.

Nadine smiled non-stopped as she kept staring at her little baby.
” This all I’ve got now, the part of me that I will never want to let go, my own flesh and blood,” Nadine smile as she held her little baby.
“How is he doing? Leonard asked seating next to her.
“Perfectly doing fine” she smile.
“Am glad you fought so ha-rd to be here with us Nadine. We all thought we’ll gonna loose you,”
” I have to fight back by all means for my baby Leonard. I promise never to let my son suffer what I’ve pa-ssed throu-ghin this cruel world,”
” We will raise this child well, I promise to be the best dad ever,” Leonard said so excited.

Kendall read the letter and look so confused. This the third time he’s seeing this letter placed on top of his car outside.
“Is it the letter again? Audrey his daughter asked.
Kendall nodded as he open the small envelope and was shocked with the picture he saw..
“He’s dead… I killed him.. he died with all his family, this can’t be true,” Kendall yelled in horror.
” Calm down dad.. this just an empty threat,” Audrey said trying to calm him down.
” Does that mean his ghost is hunting me down? No one dare threatened Kendall,” He whispers to himself.
“Let’s get to the root of this matter dad. This same man Harris was your former driver years back,”
” I want to be alone! He snarled then went to his office.
Kendall run back to memory lane as he remembered Harris his former driver..

“Dad, uncle Terri,” Ca-ssie yelled in excitement as she quickly rushed to hug-ged them.
It’s 7pm already and she came with Miguel to San Francisco to see her family.
“Ca-ssie,” her dad hug-ged her tightly trying to hold back his tears. They all thought they won’t see her again.
“You’re still alive! My little Ca-ssie,” Terri said in excitement and pulled her into a hug.
“I missed you so much uncle, am sorry it took me this long to come back to you, a lot has happened me,” she cried silently.
Miguel stood and watch as the family reunite together, this must be the happiest moment of their life. To see their daughter again.
“Dad, uncle… This Dr. Miguel Montes,” she introduced and they all look surprised.
“It’s a long story,” she shook her head in sadness.
” What actually happened? This really a dream come true. Where have you been? what actually happened? Kamil was so worried about you, he did everything he can to help us find you but to no avail, he later got married to Audrey,” Terri said while Ca-ssie felt so angry knowing that he was only deceiving her family.
“How are you ? Mr Vicente asked Miguel who was quiet.
“Am doing fine sir,”
“I don’t know what happened but thank you for bringing my daughter back to us,” he said.
Ca-ssandra told them everything that happened, she narrated how she was stab and almost killed by Kamil, Audrey and her dad.
“That was the reason why we warned you Ca-ssie. I’ve always knew that Kamil was up to no good, how dare he do that to you and still acted so nice to us ,” Vicente said so angry as he stood up.
” You mean Kamil did all that to you? Terri asked still in shocked.
“Was that the reason why he married Audrey just a month you went missing… And that explains who murdered Tomas. He was shot by some unknown gunmen and till now we don’t know anything. When you went missing Tomas suspected to be them, so he confronted them which lead to his death,” Terri said.

… Ca-ssie felt so happy to see her family but getting to hear how things are now working in Kamil’s favor broke her heart. Her dad and uncle were so angry and sad that but she promise to avenge whatever they did to her.

She couldn’t sleep throu-ghout the night, her mind was occupied with lots of things, checking the time she noticed it 1am already. She missed her room and everything in the house. She walked to the parlour and saw Miguel who was sleeping on the couch, he seems to be uncomfortable there, coupled with the mosquitoes around. She went back to her room, carry her blanket and came to cover him with it but he opened his eyes.
“Oh.. your awake…,” she said
” It’s getting cold and the mosquitoes here are much maybe you can make use of this,” she said then hand him the blanket.
” But i thought your uncle said this is the only blanket left in the house and this belongs to you?
” Yes… But you can use it,”
“That’s not necessary Ca-ssie, why are you awake?
” I can’t sleep,” she muttered then sat down on a chair next to him.
” Thank you for your sacrifice, for coming here with me and even sleeping over in this small house. Am sorry the place is a slum and i know you’re not use to this kind of life,” she said.
” It’s nothing, we are in this together, am glad you’ve reunite with your family, we’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning,” he said while she smiled.
⏭️She felt okay having him on her side to help her execute her revenge.
At first she thought Dr. Miguel isn’t that humble and kind to even think of helping her but he prove her wrong, she wonder why he’s interested to help her and fight this battles with her..
” Or maybe our destinies are intertwined ?, ” she thought.
” Thank you so much Miguel,” she smile.
” I promise myself that when next am coming to San Francisco, in this province I will take my revenge and bring down Kamil, he will have a taste of all the pains he made me pa-ssed throu-ghand same thing with Audrey and Kendall. Am back here and I will be there worst nightmare…
