“Please, Tell me that it’s not true…Tell me that everything I found out is all a lie and that am just imagining it” Cynthia demanded starring at Chris with a pleading look on her face.
“Cynthia I….”
“Stop! I think it’s best that I don’t hear it. I will forget everything have seen today and even think it to be a dream. You should do the same too” Cynthia cut in as she pick up her bag and book, prepared to leave but Chris stopped her
He stood in front of the door not giving her a chance to leave.
“I won’t let you leave until you’ve heard me” Chris stated.
“I told you that you don’t need to…”
“I have to…it’s been hard trying to hide it and am glad that you finally found out ” he interrupted.
“I know you will find it crazy and weird for a younger boy to be interested in you but its the truth. I love you Cynthia, have been in love with you for years now” he admitted while Cynthia stared at him in silence.
“Cynthia I…” He made a move towards her only for her to move back.
“Can’t you forget about me being young and try to see me as someone who is very much in love with you?”
“I can’t. All I see in you is a little boy” Cynthia confess.
“Am not a little boy. Am nineteen, old enough to know what I want. Old enough to be a man for you and very old enough to be the guy you love”
“Chris, I suggest you think this through and you will see that am not the girl you love. A girl befitting, will surely come your way and…”
“I want no one else but you” he said in affirmation.
“I don’t feel the same way you do ” Cynthia replied and made to walk past him but he took hold of her hand.
“You are lying. If you hadn’t felt something for me, you wouldn’t have kiss me back in the pool”
“That was because….you took me off guard and…”
“And that you aren’t immune to my kisses ” Chris finish for her. When she had nothing to say, she stared at him in silence.
Closing the space between them, he held onto her cheek, smiling down at her.
“I want to kiss you ” he admitted and on hearing that, she pulled out of his hold.
“Like I said earlier. I will pretend this never happen and you should do the same” she said, heading to the door.
Her hand was on the door knob when she heard him say.
“I won’t give up Cynthia. I won’t let you go until you realise that we belong together”
Not bothering to give a reply, she left the room.

^^ Next Day ^^
Dressed in a plain T- shirt and Jeans. Tessa made her way out of the mansion.
She was about to set off on foot when she heard a car horning beside her.
“Get in” Connor said.
“You don’t have to…”
“I want to and besides what man will drive past the girl he loves without offering her a lift” he injected making Tessa heart skip.
“Just get in or I will keep driving beside you to wherever you are going” he threatened and that got her getting into the car.
“Where are you going this early?”
“To get some few necessities since Nicole is still asleep” she replied.
“And is the thing you need to buy very urgent?” He asked while she shook her head in reply.
“Fine then, you might as well accompany me to the company today” he told her mildly.
“I can’t. Nicole …”
“I will call Nicole and make sure he knows where you are. So stop fretting and relax, my gorgeous fiancee”
“Am not your fiancee” she stated.
“Really? I thought you took hold of my hand two nights ago and made that fact clear to me” Connor said.
“You know that it’s only a show we put up for Seven” She said losing her cool and that got him laughing, his gaze on the road while he drive.
“I know and I intend to change that. Soon you will be my fiancee for real” he said and somehow that calm her down.
“Can you just drop me off at the mall” she said wanting to leave his company.
“If I drop you at the mall then I won’t be able to spend more time with you. Am only going to the office to deal with a client in person and after that, we will go wherever you want” he said and taking hold of her hand, he gave it a kiss sending tingling down her spine.
“Fine then!” She replied, snatching her hand from his.
A while later, Tessa stood in front of the company which belong to the Hank family.
She wondered just how many people are working in there and how many of them are getting payed just like she is.
Connor was already walking off, speaking on the phone and immediately she went after him only to be stopped by the security guard.
“You can’t go in” he said.
“But I came here with him” Tessa said pointing towards Connor who was still walking off, deep in conversation.
“I don’t think so. If you had arrive with the boss, he wouldn’t leave you behind and besides a lot of girls like you have been wanting to see the boss lately and you must be one of…”
“Tessa!” Connor called as he approach them. ” I was busy in that Convo that I failed to notice you were no longer behind me. Is everything okay?” Connor asked and Tessa could only nod in reply.
Taking hold of her hand this time, he pulled her past the embarrassed security officer and into the company.
All Tessa could think of as he walk hand in hand with her was the look his employees sent her way.
They must probably be wondering what a guy like him would be doing with someone like her, she thought starring at her outfit and at Connor who was perfectly dressed in his tailor made suit.
As soon as they got into the elevator, he went back to talking to whoever was on the phone not noticing Tessa.
“Is Mr Parker in the meeting room?” Connor asked a lady who Tessa presume to be his secretary.
“Yes sir, he’s been waiting for a while now” The sexy brunette replied giving Tessa a dismissal look.
“Take care of her for me Juliet, I will be back soon” Connor said to his secretary and giving Tessa a wink, he went into the meeting room.
“You can take a seat” Juliet offered and slowly, Tessa sank onto a sofa.
She could feel Juliet’s gaze on her and so, she decided to ignore it but when she kept starring some minutes later, Tessa could no longer ignore it.
“Why do you keep looking at me?”
“Well, I didn’t want to say anything at first but since you’ve asked, I better say it. What are you to the boss?”
“Pardon?”
“Judging from the way you are dressed, you obviously can’t be his girlfriend neither can you be his lover since the boss has impeccable taste. So what are you? Probably his maid or the driver he thought of hiring some time…”
“Juliet!” The raging voice of Connor got her standing up.
Tessa got up too having notice the angry look he had on.
“How dare you insult her!” He yelled.
“I…I wasn’t insulting her…I was just…” Juliet stopped on seeing the look he gave her.
“Tessa is someone very important to me. Mess with her and you mess with me. Get your belongings, you are fired!” He barked at her and taking hold of Tessa hand, he pulled her into his office.
“Connor you…”
“How can you just seat there and let her say those thrashy words to you!”
“I have nothing to say since…”
“Nothing to say? For Pete’s sake, you are my fiancee”
“Who will believe that am your fiancee dressed like this!” She yelled in return.
“The truth is that I am nothing by your side. Just look around you…all of this belongs to you whereas I have nothing to my name. This is enough reason to make you realise that there can’t be us” she added.
Taking hold of her hand, he pulled her into his arms.
“There can be a us. Having lots of money doesn’t give you happiness. My happiness can only be given by you” he whispered into her ear.
“I love you Tessa and if it will take me years to show it to you then I will” he added as he pulled back to stare at her.
Tessa didn’t know why his words felt good in her ears even when she knew that a relationship between them will end up bad.
But right now, she didn’t care. All she wants is to kiss him and she did just that.
Connor was at first stunned by her action since he has always been the one to initiate a kiss between them and now….
Letting go of his thoughts, he pulled her closer and kiss her more thoroughly.

★ MEET ME IN THE CHEMISTRY LAB, I WANT TO HOLD YOU ★
On reading the text, Fiona let out a smile .
“Isn’t he gorgeous and by the way he has a beautiful name, Ken ” Stacey, Fiona’s best friend asked as she showed her a picture of the transfer student who just arrive.
“He is ” Fiona replied wondering what sort of excuse she could give to leave.
“A lot of girls have been going crazy over him, I wonder which of them he will pick. Even Grace, the school prettiest girl is…”
“Am sorry Stacey but have got to go or I might just ease myself here” Fiona lied and luckily her friend bought the lie.
Running out of the cafeteria with a mischievous smile on her face, she collided into someone and would have fall if he hadn’t caught her.
“Are you okay?” Ken asked and she nodded.
“Can’t believe I ran into you” Fiona let out softly as she pulled away from him.
“And why is that?”
“Just some few minutes ago, my friend was telling me about you and then this happen…she would go crazy if she knew that I spoke to you since that’s what she craves for the most” Fiona replied pushing back a strand of her hair.
“And what about you?” Ken asked obviously intrigue by her beauty.
“Sorry to disappoint you but am not amongst those who are drooling over you. Have got to go ” she said as she quickly ran off.
“Who’s she?” Ken asked as he kept watching Fiona go.
“She’s Fiona Hank, Chris’s sister. Why do you ask? ” His friend asked.
“She’s pretty” Ken replied.
Mean while Fiona got to the lab only to see Frederick standing by the window.
Letting out a chuckle, she ran towards him and gave him a hug from behind only for him to pull away.
“What’s Wrong?” Fiona asked.
“What were you doing with the newbie?” Frederick asked having witness the scene earlier.
“Oh that! We collided into each other and he saved me from falling” Fiona replied.
“Do you think he’s handsome?” He asked and she shook her head.
“Liar, it’s obvious that you were smitten by him just like every other girl in the school is. I wonder what they see in him” Frederick let out, his jealousy showing.
Cupping his face, she smiled up at him.
“To me, Ken is not handsome and I am not smitten by him cause I have you who’s more handsome and most importantly, you own my heart” she said which earn her a smile from him. ” So stop being jealous, it doesn’t suit you” she added as she let go of his face.
As soon as she did that, He held her by the waist and pulled her towards him.
“Am glad to know that you aren’t into that guy like everyone else but you are just too beautiful and….” He was cut short when she gave him a kiss on the lips.
“Will that do?” She asked smiling up at him.
“Just so you know, you started this” he muttered before smashing his lips on hers.
He nip, lick and suck her sexy lips while she moan into his mouth.
He pulled back to stare at her and a sad whimper came from her.
“Don’t worry, am not letting you go. I just want us to stay in a more secluded place” with that said, he lifted her into his arms and walked her to the end of the room which was dark and a good spot to hide.
There he began the task of kissing and touching her….

“I think you’ve taken the wrong route, Connor” Tessa said as he drove down the main road.
“I didn’t”
“But you agreed to take me back to the mall”
“And I will but first, I have something to show you” he said as he stop the car due to the traffic light.
The sudden horn of a truck got Connor feeling scared. His breathing became uneven and he had to loosen his tie just to breathe well.
Tessa noticed this and began to call for his attention but he got out of the car, kneeling on the floor while finding it hard to breathe.
“Connor! Take it easy, look at me” The scared Tessa said trying to get his attention and also to help, and that seem to work cause his breathing became normal again.
“It’s okay, you are fine now” Tessa said and help him back into the passenger seat this time.
She got into the driver’s seat and drove the car heading to the hospital but at Connor insistence, she took him back home.
“You don’t look well, let me take you to the hospital” Tessa pleaded but he refused.
“I will be fine. This is not the first time” he said as he got onto his bed to sleep.
During the time he slept, Tessa sat by his side, watching over him.
She’s used to seeing him laugh all the time that seeing him this way got her feeling scared. She was scared of losing him…she admitted this to herself.
“You’ve got to be okay, I can’t afford to lose you” she whispered as the tears she’s been holding back began to pour.
“Am taking that as a confession” Connor said and she stop sobbing to stare at him.
“You do love me right?” He asked and instead of replying, she got into the bed with him, wrapping her arms around him while he did the same.
“It’s okay. Am fine now” he said lightly kissing her forehead.
“Do you know how scared I was?” She muttered against his chest.
” When I was young, I got into an accident with both my parents. An accident which led to their death leaving me alive. Each time I hear the horning of a truck, I get hyper and find it hard to breathe. Have done my best to get rid of this weakness but there’s nothing I can do about it” he said while she tightened her hold, wanting to give him comfort.
“Am here for you” she said getting him to smile.
“You have no idea what your word mean to me” he replied giving her a kiss on the lips this time.
“Do you know that you look more handsome with your hair tousled?” Tessa said lightly which got him laughing out.
“If it’s your plan to make me laugh, you’ve succeeded ” he let out as he pulled her closer.
“Thanks for being here with me” he added as he claim her lips and if the passion between them hadn’t been so intense, they would have notice the person who came into the room.
“What’s going on?” Nicole asked….
