” This is interesting..” Remy laughed and walked to his room, leaving his dad who had a shock expression on
” Did you see that? Your son just insulted me, he talked back at me” Xue faced Leyan
” That’s what you get for trying to make everything for him. For goodness sake, he’s grown up now!! ” Leyan said and walked back to the room
? You did well son.. just take care of yourself and call me when you’re in need..” Leyan dropped her phone and started sobbing silently

” Where are you heading to by this time of the night young master?” Brown asked but Ryan didn’t say anything to him as he drove out of the compound
He made a rash decision but there was no way he could go back on his words
Where would he go?
He was still thinking when his phone beeped
? You can use my hostel, I haven’t been living there so they won’t think about it.. the code is Lishu’s date of birth..”
It was a message from Remy
” I’ve finally gotten your number..” he muttered before speeding his way to school.
He got in front of Remy’s hostel and got into the mansion after putting the code. That was the first time he will be entering Remy hostel
” It’s cool.. he muttered, slumping on the couch.
A sigh escaped his mouth when he remembered the drama of moments ago
He couldn’t believe his dad could go to such lengths.
He was in tears when his phone rang. He checked the caller and cried even more when he discovered it was Violet. He couldn’t pick up at that moment so he just let the phone rang without picking up

” You did well Ryan.. I think I’ve misunderstood you all this while..” Remy sigh staring at his ceiling
” No one is born a slave to their parents, they’re some certain things parents need to stop, and that’s making decisions for their children but Li Xue isn’t ready for that conversation”
” It’s gonna be a long night” he sigh again, closing his eyes

Ryan watch as his phone ring for the tenth time before picking it up. He stared at it till the call came to an end before deciding to message her instead, so she wouldn’t be worried
? You should sleep okay? I’ll see you tomorrow.. he sent
Violet immediately sat properly when she viewed the message
‘ I thought something happened again..’ she muttered before replying the message
? Alright, take care of yourself. I love you..
She sent
Ryan giggle softly after viewing the message. He dropped his phone afterwards and then headed to one of the rooms
‘ Two rooms?’ he wondered. He stared at one in front of him which “ TO THE MOST ANNOYING BROTHER” was boldly written on it
He chuckled softly when he remembered how Remy will always tell him how annoying he was after every single mistake he made back then, while Lishu will just laugh
” STAY OFF MY TERRITORY” was written on the last door..
He smiled before entering the first room which was well decorated
” It’s been long we all slept in a room..” he sighed, falling on the bed

NEXT MORNING
Remy yawn, leaving the bathroom. His hands subconsciously held his cheek when he remembered the slap he received from his dad the previous night
” Gosh, I’m very angry right now ” he puffed out air from his mouth while ruffling his hair
He arranged his hair properly before walking out of his room
His dad was just descending the stairs. He didn’t even bother to look at him as he made his way out of the house ignoring his dad totally
Li Xue sigh but didn’t utter any words.. He couldn’t sleep at night cause he was thinking about his business and company
” It’s gonna be fine..” he a-ssured himself before leaving mansion. Leyan just stood at the door, staring at her husband since She wasn’t going to work with him

EVERGREEN COLLEGE
School was damn scanty that morning. Everyone was preparing for the exams so no one had come to cla-ss
” Claire.. ” Mara called
” Hmm.. ” Claire hummed in response, her attention on her phone
” If you hear that Ryan and I are getting married, what will you do?” He asked and Claire immediately dropped her phone and faced her properly
” Why would Ryan even marry you ? Why will he marry a girl he doesn’t like? Oh please Mara, stop saying impossible things” Claire rolled her eyes
” I just asked a simple question and didn’t asked you to remind me he doesn’t like me..” Mara snapped
” Gosh.. you always take things seriously ” Claire rolled eyes at her
” But if you two get married now, it means you must have asked your dad to threaten his dad with his company..” she added and Mara’s eyes dilated
She didn’t tell Claire about it then how did she know?
” Who told you something that ridiculous? ” Mara laughed
” Well, I’m just guessing cause I know Ryan can never marry you. So if you both are getting married, it’s gonna be an arrange marriage which you both won’t enjoy…You might just end up being single or marrying me.. Claire laughed
” But why are you talking about marriage when you’re just 19?” Claire asked
” I never said I was getting married, I’m just saying it ” Mara rolled her eyes
” Why would you say such when you know even in your dreams, it won’t happen? ”
” You’re so harsh with words..” Mara snapped
” Sorry, didn’t know I talk too much..” Claire rolled her eyes before picking up her phone
” Marriage? Mara and Ryan?” She laughed

” Good morning ma’am..” Violet greeted with a bow and Mrs Zhan laughed
” What’s with all the formalities?” She asked
” My exams are in two days time and I won’t be coming over until I’m done with it..”
” It’s fine, just don’t stress yourself and read well else I’m gonna get you arrested.. ” Mrs Zhan threatened jokingly
” Come to think of it, I don’t even know your home.. I know Mujin stays a street from here.. ” she added
” So? ” Violet furrowed her brow..
” Let’s go to your house.. two minutes will do, just want to know where you’re living..” she said and Violet nodded
” Jin, I’m coming okay? Take care of the cafe” Mrs Zhan said, picking her bag while Mujin nodded
” Good luck with your exams Violet..” Mujin said
” Thanks Jin..” she smiled as she entered the car with Mrs Zhan and they drove off

” Is this your neighborhood?” Mrs Zhan asked looking around
” Yeah.. ” Violet replied as she led the way to her grandmother’s home
” Violet.. ” Kira called walking to them with her sister
” Who is she? She’s pretty.. very pretty..” Kylie said
” Maybe the good boss she has always been talking about..” Kira replied as they all entered granny Pamela’s house.
Mrs Zhan sat down comfortably as if it was her home. She smiled at Violet but Violet just gave her strange stares
” What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me that way?”
” Don’t you feel irritated being in my house?” Violet asked
” Don’t be Sîlly and get me something to drink..” she said while Violet shook her head before leaving to get her juice
” She’s beautiful and nice..” Kira smiled
” You two, what are your names?” Mrs zhan turned to the twins
” I’m Kira and here, my twin Kylie ”
” Awwn, You both look beautiful.. ” she compliment and they blus-h while Violet scoff
” Beautiful indeed..” she said, walking to meet them with the glas-sof juice
” Will you like to eat something? ” She dropped the juice
” Nah, I think I should be on my way now, two minutes is over. I don’t want Mujin to feel lonely..” Mrs Zhan said and Violet nodded
” Don’t worry, I’ll visit some other time when I’m chanced..” Mrs zhan stood up and Violet did same. They were about leaving the house when Granny Pamela entered the sitting room
” Grandma, you’re back..” the twins hug-ged her
” Welcome Grandma ” Violet greeted. ” here is my boss Mrs Zhan, The good boss I was talking about..” Violet said and her granny stared at Mrs Zhan and back at her granddaughter
” Yo..your boss?” She asked with a little stutter and Violet nodded
She staggered backwards but Violet was fast enough to hold her
Her hands were suddenly shaking, she tried holding on to it but it wasn’t working
” Are you okay ma?” Mrs Zhan asked and made to touch her but she shifted back
” It seems grandma doesn’t like me, but I’m harmless granny. Don’t worry I will prove that to you.. ” Mrs zhan smiled, before turning to Violet
” You don’t need to see me off, I’ll find my way myself, Just take care of your grandma.. bye” she waved before heading out of the house
” Grandma is everything okay?” Violet asked
” She’s the good boss you were talking about?” Granny Pamela asked with trembling voice and Violet nodded again
” Huh?” Her Granny’s eyes wide-ned again. ” Can you stop going to the shop? ” She asked
” Why? ” Violet asked staring at her Grandmother strangely
” Cos That’s the only way you will be save from dead Violet..” Granny Pamela held her hand
” What are you saying?” Violet asked, already confused but her grandmother didn’t utter any more words as she made her way to her room trembling slightly
” Grandma..” Violet called but got no reply. ” Grandma are you okay?” She asked again but she still didn’t reply
” What’s she talking about?”
” Grandma, I’m off.. see you tomorrow okay?” Violet said but Granny Pamela still didn’t reply.
” Is she alright? I’ve never seen her this frightened .. is Mrs Zhan a bad person?” She wondered
“No matter how bad she is, as far as she’s good to me then she wouldn’t harm me. If she really wanted to do that, she would have done so long ago..” she muttered, walking out of the house
She got a cab and headed to evergreen college at once. She couldn’t wait to see Ryan and also couldn’t wait to ki-ss him
She smiled to herself enjoying the breeze that blew on her throu-ghthe cab’s window
The cab dropped in front of the school and she inhale before walking into the school premises. She texted Ryan about her arrival and he smiled broadly before leaving the hostel to meet her
He didn’t tell her he wasn’t using his hostel for the main time so she was still heading to his hostel when she came across Mara
” Hey wîtçh, what are you doing here?” Mara asked walking towards her direction.
Violet looked back, she didn’t want to believe Mara was referring to her as a wîtch..
” Were you talking to me?”
” If it’s not you then who dummy..” Mara rolled her eyes
” Look here mara, just because I didn’t say anything the day you asked jelly to push me off the cliff doesn’t mean I don’t have eyes on you.. and bet me, you’re gonna pay that even the minister will beg for mercy on your behalf..” Violet said
” What can you possibly do you lowlife?” Mara scoff
She raised her hands to slap Violet but Ryan held her hands before she could even bring it down
he pushed her away rou-ghly and she fell to the ground
” Lay your filthy hands on her and I’ll make sure I end your existence ” he said and held Violet
” Are you okay? Are you hurt?” He asked, touching her face all over which made her smile
” I’m okay.. ” she said and he immediately pulled her into a hug.. Mara eyes wide-ned at once at his actions.
