They broke the ki-ss minutes later and Ryan immediately pulled her into a tight hug which she reciprocated to immediately
” What about your feelings for me? Do you feel anything at all for me? ” He asked, disengaging from the hug but she just kept mute
” It’s okay if you don’t love me, I will accept it that way and stop pestering you ” he added and she frowned
” What? stop pestering me? You can’t tell how I feel?” She snapped while he just stood there, confused
” Maybe you should just figure that out yourself..” she said aiming for the door. She opened it and made to walk out but she felt him hug her from behind and her steps faltered
” I’m sorry if I made you mad ” he said, still hugging her
” Can you stay with me please”.. he said after a while and she sighed
She wish she could too but then, she needed to go home else her grandmother would be worried
” I need to go home Ryan.. My Grandma would be waiting for me..” she said and he released her reluctantly
” Good night then. Call me or just text me when you get home..” he said and she nodded.
She turned around and gave him peck on his cheek and his eyes brightened
” See ya..” she smiled at him before walking out of the hostel
” She’s… cute..” he chuckled, his hands on his cheek where she just ki-ssed
” I didn’t get to know how she feels ” he sighed, slumping on the couch
He closed his eyes and giggled softly as the ki-ss kept replaying in his head
No doubt, her li-ps are addictive

∆∆ LI’S MANSION
” I accept Zhang Shao, I’ll tell my son about it tomorrow..” Li Xue said and Leyan stood up immediately from her seat
” Honey.. how can you accept such ” she asked
” Not as if they’ll get engaged tomorrow or a day after.. They need to know each other very well before going into marriage.. so its no bad idea getting them engaged” Xue said
” You’re unbelievable ” she shook her head at her husband before turning to the minister and his wife
” I’m sorry Mr & Mrs Minister, but it’s not gonna work!! I won’t accept this rubbish ” she said
” I’m not asking for your opinion woman, I’m telling you what’s gonna happen..” Xue said sternly and her eyes wide-ned
She stared at her husband then at Zhang Shao and his wife. She hissed loudly at them before heading upstairs making loud sounds with her sli-ppers as she walked
” Don’t worry Shao.. you know mothers are always protective of their child, please understand.. Xue said
” It’s fine, I should be glad you listened and even gave me a positive response” Zhang Shao stood up and his wife did same
” Thanks Chairman and please tell Leyan to take things easy.. my girl is a respectful and nice girl” Linying said
” You don’t have to worry, she’ll come around soon ” Xue a-ssured
” Alright, We’ll be on our way now” Zhang Shao said and Xue smiled as he watch them leave the house.
Thought he is still very Rich even richer than the minister but the fact they were friends and business partners, he thinks everything will go well if their two kids get married
He opened the door to his room and a sigh escaped his mouth as he met his wife sobbing
” Leyan..” he called but she ignored him
He made to touch her but she slapped his hands off
” I understand your worries but then he’s still gonna get married someday” Xue said and Leyan sat upright glaring daggers at him
” Tell me.. why did you accept the offer? ” She asked
” Because that’s what I’m suppose to do. It’s all for the company” Xue replied and she scoffed
” Everthing is business to you isn’t it?!!”
She carried a pillow and started leaving the room
” Going somewhere?” Xue asked
” I might end up dying if I stay here with you..” she snapped, walking out of their bedroom to her late son’s room. She didn’t want to sleep in the guest room
Li Xue exhaled de-eply
” They’ll come to like each other eventually. Having a minister as an inlaw isn’t a bad thing.. he muttered

” I’m home..” Violet announced, walking into the house with Jeffrey. Grandma Pamela was already asleep. She checked the time and discovered it was past 9pm
” The party was fun ” She smiled, sitting on the couch and Jeffrey did same
He stared at her as she smiled
” How is he? ” He asked
” Huh? Who?” She asked back
” The person you went to meet..” he replied
” Why are you so sure it’s a he I went to meet?” She asked blinking rapidly while avoiding his gaze
” You’re so bad at lying. Anytime you lie, you blink and always avoid my gaze” he chuckled softly
” So tell me.. how is Ryan?” He asked and she stood up
” I need to sleep now.. goodnight” She made to enter her room but Jeffrey pulled her back.
” You have feelings for him don’t you?” He asked but she went speechless.
How was she gonna tell her best friend who had feelings for her about her feelings for another guy?
” Let’s talk tomorrow Jeffrey, I need to rest now”
” Jeffrey? I thought it was Jeff” he said
” Oh that….she trailed off, not knowing what to say next
” So you love him too..”
” I..I didn’t know I was gonna fall for him” She sigh
” I’m sorry Jeff, but I think it’s high time you let go of your feelings for me..” she said entering her room
Jeffrey stared at her door sadly with tears gathering in his eyes
” Do you think it’s easy? ” He muttered. He stared at her door one last time before walking out of the house.
Violet exhaled before walking towards the bed and laid on it. She brou-ght out her phone and a message pop out immediately
She smiled when she noticed it was a message from Ryan
? HOME ALREADY?
? I’m home… She replied
? I miss you!.
He sent and she smiled broadly
? Good night Ryan..
? See you tomorrow… He sent.
She smiled at the message before dropping her phone

Ryan kept smiling to himself as he stared at her messages
” I can’t believe I fell for you..” he smiled again walking to his room..
” It’s gonna be a long night for me..” he muttered, taking off his shirt and entering his bathroom

Jeffrey staggered home sadly making his way to the sitting room
” You’re back..” he heard his dad’s voice
He stared at him without saying a word
” Jeff, is everything alright?” Stephen asked walking to him
” Dad.. she doesn’t feel anything for me, nothing at all !!” He said, letting the tears he was trying to hold, fall freely
Stephen sigh before engulfing him into a hug
” She’s always looked up to you as a brother. You’ve been a good friend and a brother to her ”
” But dad.. he called, disengaging from the hug
” Don’t worry Jeffrey, you’ll find the right one for you..” Stephen said holding his shoulder.
” Men don’t cry.. ” he said patting his shoulder
” Go freshen up and come eat dinner. Tomorrow is another school day..” Stephen said and he nodded before walking into his room
He got under the shower and the cold water came falling on his body. Instead of feeling refreshed, he felt heartbroken and he began weeping under the shower

∆ NEXT MORNING, EVERGREEN COLLEGE
Mara stared at Ryan’s direction and a smile escaped her li-ps. She couldn’t believe her dad really went to talk things out with his dad
Her mom had told her about the meeting with the chairman and the outcome. She couldn’t just wait for that day to come
The day she’ll have him all to herself
” You’ve been happy, what’s the secret? ” Claire asked
” Nothing, I’m just happy ” she replied
” Good for you ” Claire said
Mara’s eyes immediately landed on Violet as she made her way to clas-swith Jeffrey
He had decided to let go of his feelings for her though it was a very ha-rd decision.
” He can flirt with you all he want, but at the end, I’m gonna have him to myself..” Mara smiled as she watch Violet seat next to Yixuan
” Are you okay? ” Yixuan asked
” I think I’ll fine ” she said and looked at Ryan’s direction but his eyes were closed.
He wasn’t paying attention to anything happening in the cla-ss
Minutes later, a lecturer walked in.

Remy yawned ru-bbing his eyes, as he stood up from the couch
” Gosh, I’m so tired..” he said, stretching his body.
” My body feels heavy ” Fargo complained
” That’s the result of last night clubbing”.. Remy replied looking at the wall clock
” It’s still 10am? I thought it was 3pm already “.. he said walking to Reece
” I didn’t asked you to fvçk yesterday so get your a-ss up and let’s go to school.. Remy tapped him
” Yeah.. school..” Reece replied sleepily, opening his eyes.
Justin and Fargo were up already
Reece suddenly stood up and faced them.
” Let’s go to school then..” he said and began to walk to his room
” Why does it look like he’s sleep walking right now?” Fargo asked and Justin yawned, nodding his head in agreement.
” I guess no school for us today” Fargo said, staring at Reece who was now sleeping peacefully on his bed rather than getting ready for school
” I agree, I’ll get my car later and head home after closing hours ” Remy replied

” Exams are fast approaching, I hope you all prepare well..” The lecturer said
” Alright ma’am..” The students chorused
” This is the end of our lecture, have a nice day”.. She said and with that, she walked out of cla-ss
They had three extra cla-sses before lectures finally came to an end
Violet look at Ryan’s direction but he wasn’t even staring at her.
Was he ignoring her?
Mara scoffed before walking out of the clas-swith Claire
Ryan walked out of the clas-stoo and Violet stood up
” I need to go somewhere..” she told yixuan
” Don’t stay long ” Yixuan said and she nodded, walking out of the cla-ss
She got outside but couldn’t find Ryan
” Did he go home already? Or his hostel ?” She wondered, turning to the direction of his hostel.
She placed a gentle knock on his door and got in when she heard a “ come in, the door isn’t locked”
She met Ryan seated on the couch with a book in his hands
” Why did you come?” He asked
” I..
” Why did you switch off your phone? I called 50 times!! ” He said, pointing his phone screen at her
” I was..
” And why haven’t you given a reply to my confession?” He asked, dropping the book in his hands then stood up, walking towards her
” I…
” Be Frank with me Violet.. do you feel same way?” He asked, standing in front of her and she bit on her lower li-ps.
” Stop doing that..” he said seriously
” Doing what?” She asked confused
” Forget it and answer my questions..
” Do you like me? ” He asked putting his hands in his pan-ts pocket
” I don’t.. she replied and he could feel his heart tearing apart
” I don’t like you Ryan.. I don’t.. she said again
” It’s fine, you should have said It sooner ” he said, disappointedly and backed her
” I really don’t like you Ryan but..
” You don’t have to say it so many times. I’ve heard you and I’ll try my possible best to get rid of this fe…
” I love you..” she said lowly and turn to leave
” Stop.. ” Ryan said like a command and she froze
” What did you just say?” He asked
” Huh? ”
” You said something just now, can you repeat It? ” he asked, his eyes glistening as he held her shoulders with his both hands
” I said… I love you ” she repeated and his li-ps slowly curved into a smile
Before she knew it, he had engulfed her into a bone crushing hug
” I love you Violet, I love you, so damn much ” he said happily
” Be my girlfriend Violet, not just a girlfriend. Let’s spend the rest of our lives together.. I wanna share my future with you ” he added and she smiled hugging him back
” Let’s do that..” She smiled
