*10pm ~ Vie bar*
” What are we doing here Remy? I’m never taking alcohol again ” Justin said as they got Infront of the bar
“Chill dude… Few gla-sses wouldn’t hurt, moreover we aren’t minors” Remy said and Justin shook his head
” Let’s go guys!! Remy added excitingly and they all walked into the bar
They got a seat and sat, watching the stri-ppers dance on stage
“fu-ck, this is lit” Reece said, bit-ing his li-ps slightly
” I know right” Remy agreed
” We aren’t here for that.. let’s just party and go home” Fargo spoke up
” Boring” Remy scoff
The waiter dropped their order for them and left
“What are kids doing here by this time of the night?” They heard a voice say behind them. Remy didn’t bother to look at the owner of the voice
“I’m talking to you” The man said and held Remy’s hands.
” Do we look like kids to you old man” Remy turned to him at once
A gasp escaped his mouth after seeing the stranger
“Wait, why do you look familiar?” The man asked staring intensely at him ( Remy ).
“Stephen? Remy exclaimed and before Stephen could reply, he hit the bottle of Vodka on his head and Stephen fainted at the sp-ot
“Oh! Oh!” Reece exclaimed. Many eyes had turn to them already.
“Run!!!” Remy shouted and they immediately ran out of the bar.
The bar man and the bouncers started running after them
“Stop… The bouncers following them shouted. The barman wasn’t an exception.
“Are these even bouncers? They can’t even run. They look like overfed pigs” Remy laughed and his friends joined in the laughter
Remy and his friends were part of the athletic club in school so they were pretty good at running
“Stop right there before we call the cops.. the bouncers kept shouting while Remy and his friends stuck their tongues out at them as they ran.
The barman and the bouncers got tired and stopped running. They were already out of breath because they were too fat to run so many kilometers
They got to the house and immediately slump on the couch breathing heavily
” I Can’t believe Stephen. What could he be doing at the bar at this time of the night… Remy wonder loudly
“You know him?” Reece asked and he nodded
” Yeah, he works for my dad”
“What if he tells your dad?” Reece asked
“He won’t do that… He will keep his mouth shut if he wants to keep working for my dad.. Remy replied
“Gosh, I was scared.. Fargo breath out. “What if he dies Because of the hit?” He asked
” He won’t die but never in his life will he come to the bar” Remy laughed and Justin’s stomach growled loudly
“Wait.. what was that?” Fargo asked staring at Justin
“My stomach, because I’m famished.. Justin replied while Remy and Fargo stared at him unbelievably
” What? You ate four bowls of rice just an hour ago” Reece exclaimed
“I wonder how I got to know you. I’m sure You could eat up a full grown human and yet, you won’t be satisfied.. Fargo scoff
“Think all you want.. Justin scoff and walked to the kitchen
Fargo, Justin and Reece are the only friends Remy had since highschool. They do things together both the bad and good things.
Fargo’s parents owned different companies around Hong Kong and Shanghai. He was an only son and also the heir to his father’s companies. He was very popular for flashing girls seductive smiles and winks. His Handsomeness was breathtaking… Girls throw themselves at him but he wasn’t the playboy type
Reece is the son of a very popular business tycoon. His mom owned a fashion company and his dad was always away on business trips. Reece was quite handsome but he was a big time playboy. He had s”x with ladies and dump their a-ss. He believed a bully like himself didn’t need a girlfriend.
Justin is the son of a Billionaire… His dad is the second most riche-st in the whole of Hong Kong China. Justin is cute too but he is very shy around girls.
Remy’s parents were a mystery. He wouldn’t talk about them or tell his friends about his family but they believed his parents were quite wealthy too since he always rock the latest cars and motorcycles
The only thing he told them was; he was sick and tired of leaving with his parents so he had to leave the house to stay alone. His Friends decided to stay with him since they were best of friends and they also do things together
Remy is said to be the cutest among his friends but Ryan is leading them all.
Ryan’s handsomeness is way beyond breathtaking. He was even crowned the king of beauty on campus, yet, he is so calm, gentle, reserved, doesn’t keep friends and he’s still the most intelligent guy in evergreen college. Remy is second after him
“Tomorrow is another day, I need to sleep now.. Goodnight ” Remy told his friends and walked into his room.
“Yeah, good night.. Reece replied and pick up his phone.
“Who’s eating?” Justin asked walking to them with a plate of noodles
“Gosh Justin, I wonder how your parents cope with your eating habit.. Fargo rolled his eyes
“That’s none of your business! I’m fine as long as I don’t add weight. Justin sat and started eating from his noodles
Reece scoff and stood up, heading to his room. He sat on his bed and smiled to himself as he fed his eyes with photos of beautiful girls

Remy laid on his bed, unable to sleep. He suddenly missed his mom. It’s been weeks now since he last saw her… He sigh and immediately his phone rang
He smiled when he beheld the caller.
? Hi mom.. he said sitting upright
? My Remy…hope you are fine? His mom asked
? I’m okay mom, I’m fine… Very fine and living well. He replied
? When will you be coming home? His mom asked
? I don’t know.. when the time comes I will let you know
? But your brother….. his mom couldn’t complete her statement when Remy interrupted
? which of my brother? Is it the one who is 6ft de-eper down? Anyways mom, take care of yourself and I love you….Bye. He added and ended the call
He laid back on his bed .The memory of his late brother came rushing afresh in his mind and his eyes began to produce water. He quickly wiped them off and covered himself with the quilt

“It’s late already, you should get going now. Violet told Jeffrey
They were outside watching the stars. They’ve been together since they left work
” Who said I’m going home? I’m spending the night here.. Jeffrey said while Violet stared at him
“What type of joke is that? She laughed but Jeffrey didn’t.
“Wait, Are you serious? She asked when she noticed He didn’t say anything
“I’m serious.. he replied and push her gently out of his way as he walked fully into the house. ” Not as if we are strangers and it’s not my first time spending the night here” he added
“Yeah , I know.. but you only spend the night here when you have an a-ssignment to do.. She replied as she entered the house too
“Here is my book” Jeffrey raised a book up. ” I brou-ght an a-ssignment and I also need you to explain it to me” he added sitting on the couch
“You should have told me this since afternoon Jeff.. violet frowned
“I’m sorry beautiful, but it really did escape my mind.. he replied
“It’s fine… But before that I need to eat” she said and walked into the kitchen. Her dinner was served already. She walked back to the sitting room and placed it Infront of Jeffrey
“Let’s eat first.. she said and he nodded…
The began to eat and Jeffery couldn’t stop stealing glances at her.
“Tell her your mind.. his subconscious mind told him
“No, I’m afraid I’m gonna make her angry if I do.. he sigh worriedly
“What’s wrong? Violet asked after noticing his worried look
“Oh, nothing don’t mind me. What of granny?.. he asked
“She’s asleep.. she replied as she cleared the dishes.
“Here ” she stretch the gla-ss of water to Jeffrey
“Thanks.. he said and collected the gla-ss from her. He gulped down the water and followed her into the kitchen. They did the dishes and went back to the sitting room minutes later
“If you’re tired, we can just do it tomorrow morning before I go to cla-ss”
“No.. you know I hate it when my sleep is interrupted. I’ll still be in bed until 10am or more. Violet said and he smiled
” You’ll never change…Aren’t you ashame?” He grimaced
” Why? Not as if sleeping is a bad thing” she shrug
” You’re telling me you do wake up late? You should be ashamed of yourself? ” Jeffrey asked and she scoff
” Wèishéme?( Why? ) You’re my friend… anyways, let’s see what you’ve got today.. she said and sat closer to him.
Jeffrey brou-ght out his books and placed them on the table. Violet opened the books Infront of her and went throu-ghthem. She stood up and entered her room, she got a text book and went back to the sitting room
She sat down and brou-ght out a book and a pen and began solving the questions
Jeffrey stared at her as she solved the maths questions with ease. He couldn’t help but admire her pretty face and silky hair. He wanted her even though he knew he was being selfish but he couldn’t help it
She was done minutes later and began to explain. Jeffrey was de-eper in thoughts as he stared at her
She was done explaining but he was still staring at her
“You don’t un-derstand?” She asked, looking at him
“Hey.. she tapped him and he quivered
“Have I been talking alone again?” A frown creased her forehead
“Oh!, I’m sorry.. he apologized
“If you continue this way, maybe you should stop bringing your questions to me… Violet said
“I’m sorry.. I was just thinking about something.. he said
“What were you thinking about?” She asked
“It’s just…. a guy….. He replied
“Don’t tell me you’re into guys!” She exclaimed
“Don’t be ridiculous” he flic-ked her forehead
“Ouch.. she wince
“His name is Ryan… Jeffrey said
“What about him? Does he have difficulties in his studies too? Violet asked
” No, it’s the opposite. The dude is very intelligent, he was even nicknamed ‘Google’ ” he replied
“If he’s that good , then why don’t you go meet him so he could help you out with your a-ssignment rather than coming to stress my brain..” she rolled her eyes
“That’s the problem. He’s calm, cold, doesn’t make Friends… And he doesn’t talk too.. Jeffrey said and violet found the story interesting
“He doesn’t talk? Does he have bad breath? Or Is he dumb? Gosh, he must’ve been humiliated in that school.. she said
“Not that, he speaks just few words a day.. some say he speaks just seven times a day” Jeffrey said and violet furrowed her brow
“That’s more…. ridiculous. She scoff
“I’m serious…
“That’s his problem. Anyway, I’m done with the questions, I’ll explain tomorrow, I’m so tired right now.. she stood up
“Alright, I will go throu-ghthem. Jeffrey said and she nodded
” Wan’ān ( good night) she yawned before heading to her room.
Jeffrey sigh and laid on the couch. He pictured violet’s face and he smiled
“I don’t know why my heart doesn’t want to keep you as just friends” He sigh and closed his eyes

Violet laid on her bed tossing from one end to another.
He’s intelligent, calm, cold and doesn’t keep friends.. Jeffrey words kept ringing in her head.
“From Jeff’s description, he seems like someone who’s going throu-gha lot emotionally” She sigh and closed her eyes
“Worry about yourself violet.. she sigh again
“Can’t believe I made $1000 in just a day” She gushed happily and started jumping on her bed
“Grandma will be so proud. Can’t wait for evergreen to start their scholarship program. I need to finish school at all cost” She smiled and laid back on the bed closing her eyes again, this time, sleep came without warning.

Ryan sat Infront of his laptop, operating it. He checked the time and discovered it was forty five minutes after Eleven. He has been in his room since he left school and he hasn’t eaten anything since morning.
He walked out of his room and headed to the fridge. He took an apple with a juice and made to take the stairs when the door opened
His gaze met with that of his father who just walked in
” Huānyíng ( welcome ).. he said and turn to leave when his dad spoke up
“How can you think of food when you are supposed to be reading?” His dad asked sternly while his mom watch from upstairs
“He has been reading since he got back from school and hasn’t eating anything today.. Leyan said walking to meet them
“Is that so?” His dad asked but he walked out on them quietly
Of course that’s what his dad wanted. He only wanted him to read and read and read. Apart from that, his Dad didn’t want him to do anything else but he wanted to be free. He wanted freedom yet his parents wouldn’t un-derstand him
“You must be tired. Layan kis-sed her husband.
They both made their way to the room
Ryan sigh as he stared at the apple in his hands. He exhaled de-eperly before taking a bite from it. He drank from the juice. He sat back Infront of his laptop and resumed doing his a-ssignment
In minutes he was done and his head started to hurt badly. He sobbed silently as he laid on his bed. The headache was just too much that he had to bath the Fourth time.
He left the bathroom minutes later and sighed when the headache relieved him a bit. He sat down on his bed then laid on it.
“It’s all my fault. If I weren’t stubborn back then then none of this would be happening” he sighed guiltily and closed his eyes embracing sleep
