Episode 56
Ethan Logan’s POV
I’m left with no choice than to explain things to Olivia but the question is, will she ever forgive us for hiding such important thing from her?
“Dad…….. go on” Olivia said jolting me out of my thoughts
“Ohh…. sorry” I took in a de-eper breath, closed my eyes and opened them again before I explained everything to her.
When I was done, I expected her to react or at least be shocked but she just stared at me.
“Dad you know I’m really tired so stop playing pranks on me, It’s fine if you don’t want to explain things to me. I will be in my room” she said standing up probably headed for her room.
“No Olivia, it’s high time you know the truth. What I explained to you just now wasn’t a prank but the truth. Your biological parents is the President and his wife. Sit down and listen to their explanation”
“Are you being serious right now? The only parents I have is both of you and it will continue to remain like that. Excuse me” she said finally walking away
“Sorry to bu-tt in, but are you really serious about Olivia being the President’s daughter?” Nelson asked after Olivia left
“Yes, it’s the truth” I answered him
“How come?” he further asked
“That’s not really important right now, the most important thing now is for you to find a way to talk to Olivia so she can believe what we told her”
“That won’t be possible if I don’t know the full details of what happened. How did she get separated from her parents before you saw her?” Nelson demanded
“The President will explain that” I said turning to the President
He cleared his throat before taking us back to what happened 17 years ago.
Their story is touching but they still shouldn’t have abandoned a little baby.
“I’ve heard your explanation and I will talk to Olivia but I’m not promising you anything.” Nelson said and went upstairs to Olivia’s room.
“We will be leaving for Korea now to avoid any suspicions but please help us talk to Olivia” Mrs. Park said to Katherine
“It depends on Olivia’s choice. Safe journey” my wife said and also left.
After few minutes of staring at them, I finally left them too. I’m sure they would have left before we get back to the sitting room.
Nelson’s POV
When I got to Olivia’s room, the door was locked. I just hope she’s fine. I knocked on the door thrice but there was no response.
“Olivia it’s Nelson, open the door please” I said but if she heard or not, I don’t know because she refused to open the door.
“Do you want me to leave?” I asked but got no response
“Fine then. Just have it in mind that if I leave, we don’t know each other anymore” I said and turned to leave but the door opened almost immediately
“Come in” Olivia said and went back inside. Why is she behaving this way?
“Olivia what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, I just want to be alone” she said not even sparing me a glance.
“You heard what your Dad said few minutes ago, right?”
“I didn’t hear anything, he was only joking”
“No he wasn’t. The President and his wife are your biological parents”
“That’s not true” she said with her already trembling voice and with that, she left the room.
I ran after her and caught up with her in no time.
“Olivia the earlier you accept the truth, the better it will be for you. Please just stop all these.
I know it won’t be easy but you have to try okay?” I said making her burst into more tears
“Why me? I’ve never complained about my family status. I’m okay with living a simple and happy life with my small family.
I don’t want to be addressed as the President’s daughter and I’m not going to believe what Dad said downstairs.
They are the only family I have, I don’t want any other person. I… I” she couldn’t complete her sentence because of the tears.
I pulled her into a de-eper hug and consoled her until she calmed down a bit.
“How are you feeling now?”
“Better, thanks. I want to take a nap”
“Okay” I took her to her room and kis-sed her forehead after tucking her to bed.
“I will be here tomorrow. Take care of yourself and don’t forget that I love you”
“I love you too” she replied lowly and I left.
*South Korea*
Park Chang min’s POV
The second hospital that carried out the test also presented the same result, does this mean Olivia is my sister?
Only Mom and Dad have the answer to this question but Mom gave me a work that is going to take a week before I finish it and I’m not to come to the main mansion until I finish it.
She also gave Jimin a work to do and he can’t also go home until he’s done with it. I think something is fishy and I will have to go home to confirm it.
When I got home, everywhere was quiet.
“Where is Mom and Dad?” I asked one of the maids
“They are in their room sir but they don’t want to see anyone for now” the maid replied with her head bowed making me scoff
“I’m their son and I have every right to see them whenever I want to” I said and walked past them to Mom and Dad’s room.
I was surprised when I saw some maids and armed men guarding my parents room. What’s going on?
“What’s the meaning of this?” I directed at no one in particular
“The President and First Lady don’t want to be disturbed by anyone” the head maid said
“Move out of my way now, I won’t like to repeat myself” I said each word extremely slowly and coldly
“We can’t do that Young master”
I pushed them out of the way but the armed men blocked me when I got to the door.
“I’m only going to count to five. If you don’t leave my way, it means you want war because I’m going to call my guards over.”
I noticed the fear on their faces when I said that. Good, exactly what I wanted.
“1… 2…. 3…. 4” they quickly moved out of the way when they discovered I wasn’t joking.
Actually I was joking, there’s no way I will start war in my parents house.
I went inside just to discover the room was empty. I ransacked everywhere to know if a prank was being played on me but it was truly empty.
“Where is Mom and Dad?” I said to the maids and guards when I got outside
“We don’t know sir”
“So you lied to me about them being in their room”
“We’re sorry Young master, that was what we were asked to tell you”
“Great! Just great!! Give me a call when they return home” I said and left there.
They definitely have a detailed explanation to make when they get back home.
Stephanie’s POV
My informant has given me a complete detail on what I need.
She told me Olivia is the President’s long lost daughter and fortunately for me, Olivia is here in England right now.
I have the right boys for the job. The plan is really simple. The guys would stay around Olivia’s house for three days.
I know Olivia and Nelson will go out together within one of those days so on the way, the boys will double-cross them and kidnap Olivia.
I’ve told them to take Nelson down first if he tries to play Knight in shining armour for Olivia, I don’t have time for ru-bbish now.
Once Olivia is gone, the President and his wife will have no choice but to accept me as their daughter.
They will apologise to the media for the misun-derstanding and I will be at the top once again.
I can’t wait for my perfect plan to be put into action.
*So someone asked me to talk more about Nelson and his family, I’m going to give a brief explanation on that.
Nelson is from a rich home. His Dad is a politician but apart from that, he has different companies all over the world.
His mother has big malls in England, Korea and USA so that was why he was able to talk to the journalists in Korea and they didn’t object.
Nelson himself is a model and he has built three companies at his young age of 19 but he has different people that manage the company on his behalf
OLIVIA
Episode 57
Olivia’s POV
After Nelson left, I stood up and walked around my room for a while before sitting back on the bed.
So I’ve lived a fake life for 17 years or should I even say 18 because I’m going to be 18 in a month’s time.
I’m never going to accept the President and his wife as my parents so it would be better if they just replace me with Stephanie.
Seconds later, I heard a knock on the door and I need no soothsayer to tell me who it is.
I got down from the bed and opened the door to see Mom and Dad staring pitifully at me.
I rolled my eyes and went back to sit on the bed and they came in afterwards.
“Olivia, we…. we’re sorry for hiding the truth from you all these years, we only did it to protect you” Mom said softly
“To protect me from who or what?” I asked her
“Since you were abandoned, we thought your life was in some sort of danger, so we did everything in our power to make sure no one finds out you’re not our biological daughter. Believe me when I say that’s the truth”
“Okay I believe you, I want to be alone now”
“Dinner is ready, come downstairs” Mom said
“I’m not hungry” I replied already covering myself with the duvet
“Olivia….. please even if it’s little” Dad spoke for the first time
“Please Mom……. Dad, I want to be alone and I will appreciate it if you guys respect my decision and let me be” I said sitting up again
“Okay then we’ll leave but please don’t do something stupid” Dad said and stood for a while probably waiting for my response but when none came, he left the room with Mom.
Next morning
I took my bath and stayed in my room patiently waiting for Nelson’s arrival. I’ve tried his number several times but it’s not reachable.
I haven’t eaten anything since last night and I’m really hungry. I don’t want to go downstairs because I know Mom and Dad will for-ce me to eat.
About an hour later, Nelson finally arrived. I ignored him and pretended to be mad at him.
“Olivia, I know you’re mad at me and you have every reason too. I’m really sorry, I was attending to something” he said but I didn’t answer him
“Olivia………” he drawed
“What were you busy with that is so important than I am?” I finally asked facing him
“Nothing is more important than you are and you know that. I’m sorry okay?”
“Tell me what you were attending to” I demanded
” (sighs) fine then. I was selecting the guards that would guard you from now on. Few will follow you anytime you go out while the rest will follow behind secretly.
You know you’re the President’s daughter and information might have gotten out to some people, like maybe some of his rivals so I have to take preventive measures. I wouldn’t want something bad happening to my cu-pcake” he concluded leaving me surprised
Wow! Even I myself didn’t remember I will be needing guards. Apart from the fact that I’m the President’s daughter, I’m already kind of like a celebrity.
Being Nelson’s girlfriend and also the winner of the K-Pop contest has made me known almost all over the world.
I definitely have the best boyfriend ever.
“Thanks” I said giving him my best smile
“You’re welcome. So what have you eaten today?”
“I haven’t eaten anything”
“Why?”
“I don’t want to eat here”
“Common Olivia. Does that mean you didn’t eat last night?”
“Yes, but I’m going to eat soon. Let’s go to an eatery” I said standing up
“No. You should eat the food your Mom prepared for you”
“I will eat anything she prepares when we return home. Please, we can even make it a date” I said trying to convince him
“Fine then, just for today”
I hurriedly changed my clothes and we were on our way in few minutes.
Nelson’s POV
I got into the back seat of the car with Olivia and the driver took off while two other cars containing the guards followed behind us.
Olivia focused her attention on her phone while I just stared outside throu-ghthe window.
It wasn’t l that long before I noticed a car trailing behind us. At first I thought it was a coincidence but within the twinkle of an eye, the car double-crossed us.
What’s the meaning of this? The guards got down from their car to meet them but the men were stronger than the guards so they subdued them in no time.
The men marched towards our car and shot the driver on his leg before coming for I and Olivia.
“Release the girl to us and continue your journey peacefully” the person I a-ssume to be their leader said but I shook my head
“I can’t release her to you, take me instead please”
“I’m going to repeat myself for the last time, release the girl to us” he said again but I still continued shaking my head
“I have no choice then” before I could process what he said, he shot me on my left leg making Olivia let out a really loud scream.
“Ne……. lson” she said squ-atting before me with tears dropping from her eyes and I let out a painful smile
“I’m fine” I managed to say but that only increa-sed her tears
“Are you going to release her to us now or not” the leader asked again
“I will never release her to you” I said and he brou-ght out his gun to shoot me again but Olivia stopped him
“I will go with you. Please, just don’t touch him” she pleased in tears
“O.. livia, what are… you doing?”
“I’m sorry Nelson but this is the only way” she said and stood up to meet them while the leader let out a sly smile
Immediately Olivia got to where he stood, he brou-ght out his gun and aimed at me.
“Farewell” he said and shot the gun
I closed my eyes expecting the bullet to hit any part of my body but when nothing happened, I opened my eyes to see Olivia falling towards the ground with the men’s eyes wide opened.
Don’t tell me….. No, it can’t be.
It was not until Olivia gave a painful smile before I un-derstood what just happened. She took a bullet for me! Tears drop like rainfall on my face instantly
Why? Why did you do this to me Olivia? I eye searched her body to know where the bullet touch and I saw bloodstain on the side of her stomach.
The men quickly carried Olivia and drove off with her. I almost screamed my lungs out but they didn’t stop.
I’m going to sack those guards today. What have they been doing since?
My eyelids were almost closed before some guards came to take me to the hospital.
I tried telling them to search for Olivia instead but I lost consciousness.
