Océane sat up and looked out the window “Thank you” she said and her hand went to the door handle
Kyle gr@bb£d her arm and turned her to face him
“I was wondering…” he prompted “Have we met before?”
“I… I… ”
“Océane!” Adele called interrupting Océane “Is that you?” she approached the car
“Goodnight” Kyle greeted and re-leased Océane.
Taking one last glance at Kyle, Océane opened the door and got down. Océane was disappointed but what could she have replied if Adele had not come?
She watched Kyle as he drove out till he was out of sight.
“Good evening” Océane greeted Adele
“I’ve been worried sick” Adele said as they walked in the gate
“I had to cook before coming back”
“How’s Maeva?”
“she’s fine now”
“I want her to come back, that Lovane doesn’t like her and I don’t want anything to happen to Maeva” Adele said with concern
“Maeva is going where fine, she’s a fighter”
Lying on her be-d, Océane thought about the day’s e be my and how fun it was cooking with Kyle. It reminded her of 8 years ago when they were friends.
She smiled when she remembered how stupid she was searching for dinner. Kyle had LATRR explained the different meals to her. She kept thinking about Kyle till she drifted into a long, peaceful sleep.
HERNÁNDEZ GROUP 🏭
Kyle sat in his office staring into space as he thought of the previous night with Océane. He finally un-derstood why Maeva loved her dearly and couldn’t stay without her.
“Can you share your happiness?” Melvin asked zoning Kyle out of his thoughts
“when did you come in?”
“Few seconds ago but you were smiling to yourself”
“I had a dream last night” Kyle lied
“and what happened?”
“I fought with a gorilla” Kyle laughed
“you and I know you’re lying”
“Forget about that Melvin and tell me why you’re here”
“I have no reason for being here, I just c@m£ to say ‘Hi’ that’s all”
“Thanks for remembering me” Kyle said sarcastically
“Fine, I nee-d a favor from you” Melvin stated
“what favor?”
“That girl Océane, hook me up with her”
“I can’t do that” Kyle blurted out
“but why?”
“you can’t take advantage of her because she’s my maid”
“I don’t plan on taking advantage of her”
“I don’t care”
“C’mon Kyle, just this once”
“Not Océane”
“Then who? Lovane?”
“None”
“C’mon Kyle”
“Melvin go to a brothel”
“am trying to change so I nee-d a good girl to b!ow my mind”
“Ninon is a good girl”
“Nah! I want Océane, the chic is h0t” Melvin insisted
“Then go get her”

Kyle couldn’t st©p thinking of what he told Melvin as he drove home from work that evening.

Melvin is a flir-t and Océane doesn’t look like a bad ads girl.
He hit the steering like he was actually hitting Melvin.
Kyle arrived at his house and pu-ll-ed his car to a st©p. Kyle walked in the living room expecting to see Maeva and Lovane fighting but to his surprise, they sat together on a sofa watching a movie.
“Good evening hermano mayor” Maeva greeted when Kyle walked in
“Good evening” Lovane also greeted with a beam
“My little princess” Kyle pe-cked Meava’s cheeks
“we’re getting along” Maeva whispered to him then added “for now”
“How’re you doing Lovane?”
“am okay, thanks to Maeva” she grinned at Maeva
“Hermano mayor are you hungry?”
Kyle nodded
“Lovane cooked” Maeva said trying to hide her laughter
“you did?”
“I realized you would be hungry when you return so I decided to cook”
“Hermano mayor go eat your food” Maeva urged
“I have to shower first”
“No, it’s best served h0t”
“Maeva… ”
“just go it” Maeva cut in
Kyle looked at her suspiciously then proceeded to walk to the kitchen
“wait!” Maeva prompted “sit me on my wheelchair”
Kyle carried her and placed on the wheelchair.
“let’s go” Maeva chuckled and wheeled herself behind Kyle.
“It’s special and it’s all for you” Maeva said as he sat on a chair facing the food
“did you really cook this?” Kyle asked Lovane as he opened the dishes
“yes” Lovane blu-shed and bur-st into laughter
“what’s funny Maeva?”
“Nothing hermano mayor, just eat”
Kyle looked at the food and immediately lost his appetite. The food was a total mess. Spaghetti bolognese that wasn’t well cooked.
“am all sweaty, she nee-d to take my bathe”
“you’re going to hurt her, she spent so much time preparing that meal, you can’t turn it down” Maeva said and Lovane nodded while Kyle sh0t her a scowl and picked up a fork from the table. He glanced from Lovane to Kyle before scooping a spoonful into his mouth. He froze at the sour taste with the spoon still in his mouth. He wasn’t chewing it nor spitting it out cause he didn’t want to hurt Lovane’s feelings.
“what’s wrong?” Lovane asked
Kyle chewed slowly then swallowed had with a fake smile “this is the best food I’ve ever eaten”
“Really?” Lovane giggled “I’ll get you more, Maeva refused to eat and I don’t like it” she said and ran into the kitchen
“why didn’t you tell me?” Kyle asked Maeva in a whisper
“you told me to be nice”
“Here! I cooked a full pot” she returned with a pot and a cooking spoon
“This… uhm… Lovane… ”
“it’s a good thing you like it” Lovane said adding more spaghetti in his plate “Maeva didn’t like it and I think it tastes bad”
Kyle glanced at Maeva who was laughing her lungs out
“look Lovane the food is really delicious but am not hungry”
Lovane’s smile faded “but you said you were hungry”
“I’ve lost my appetite”
“Hermano mayor…”
“Maeva wants to eat” Kyle cut in
“Me?!” Maeva thumped her che-st
“I’ll be in my room” Kyle got up and headed for the stairs
“Hermano mayor what about the food? ”
“eat it Maeva” Kyle shouted from the stairs then ran into his bathroom and started throwing up.
“carry me up the stairs” Maeva joked Lovane then she sat Maeva on one of one of the chairs and carried her wheelchair up the stairs. She returned shortly and carried Maeva up.
“Hermano mayor?!” Maeva called entering Kyle’s room while Lovane returned downstairs
“Maeva?!” Kyle snarled coming out of the bathroom “His eyes were just red as if smoked weed)
“she’s a bad cook” Maeva whispered
“very bad” Kyle agreed
“I’ve been hungry but I couldn’t eat the food”
“what are we going to do? Am starving”
“That’s why I’ve been in peace with her, am so hungry” Maeva drawled “let’s call Océane”
Kyle stared at her thoughtfully “don’t you think it’s going to be like we’re pestering her?”
“No” Maeva shook her head “Océane wouldn’t get annoyed but the thing is what we’re going to tell Lovane”
“she doesn’t necessarily have to know” Kyle replied “I’ll tell her am going to visit a friend then I’ll go pick Océane”
“she’s going to see Océane when she’s cooking”
“you’ll keep her busy at the backyard while I cook with Océane”
“Perfect! let’s get going, am starving”
Kyle pusher Maeva to the living room and Lovane was still waiting for them in the dining.
“uhm… Lovane…” Kyle scratched his hair “I’ll be out for a while”
“what about the food?”
“I’ll eat it when I get back” Kyle and Maeva exchanged glances then he entered his car and drove out.
Driving towards, Hernández mansion, Kyle sighted Melvin standing outside the gate. He parked his cat along the road and sat back in his car watching Melvin. The gate opened and Océane walked out.
“What?” Kyle g@sped but didn’t get down.
Océane and Melvin talked for a while then Melvin gave her a phone before entering his car and drove out. Océane stood transfixed staring at you he phone. It was obvious she didn’t know what it was. Kyle turned on the engine of is car and drove to Océane. When he got to her, he alighted and walked to her.
Océane simply bowed but said nothing
“what’s that?” he asked pointing at the phone she was holding
“Melvin said it’s a phone”
Kyle chuckled “and you obviously don’t know what it is”
Océane shook her head
“are you busy?”
“no”
“Maeva wants you”
“I’ll go tell Adele then put on something else”
“forget about your Adele, your dress is nice” Kyle said and dragged her into his car
“what’s the emergency?”
“it’s a matter of the stomach”
They arrived at Kyle’s house and Kyle got down “wait here, I’ll go see if the coast is clear” he walked into the living room, Maeva and Lovane weren’t in. He checked the backyard and they were there but they didn’t see him then he ran back to his car.
“come, the coast is clear”
They entered the house and went straight to the kitchen.
“we have to cook quic-kly, Maeva is staving”
Océane kept the phone on the breakfast table and ties her apron. Kyle looked at the phone and wondered what Melvin was up to. He boiled water with a ring boiler and poured the h0t water on the phone.
“am sorry” he apologized pretentiously
“you poured h0t water on the phone” Océane accused
“it was an accident”
“so what’s going to happen to it?”
“it’s spoilt”
“How?”
“You can’t use it anymore but don’t worry, I’ll get you a new one”

Lovane and Maeva sat on a sunlounger at the backyard laughing their lungs out as they talked. Maeva was only pretending to like Lovane cause she was hungry but she realized Lovane had a nice p@rt in her.
“mphe… mphe… ” Lovane sniffed “what’s that smell?”
Maeva sniffed too and realized it was the aroma of whatever Océane and Kyle were cooking.
“The neighbors are cooking” Maeva lied
“but it’s coming from inside”
“No, there’s no one cooking”
“let’s go check”
“Forget about the smell”
“It smells nice, I want some” Lovane insisted then got up and started walking out
“Lovane!” Maeva called but Lovane continued sniffing and tracing the smell
“Kyle we’re doomed” Maeva said to herself. She was sitting on a sunlounger and her wheelchair was far so she couldn’t go after Lovane.
Lovane Tracee the smell and arrived at the kitchen. Her eyes shone in surprise as she saw Océane and Kyle laughing and discussing as they cooked.
“what are you doing here?” Lovane asked Océane with a scowl
“Maeva wants… ”
“after what she did to Maeva you still let her in here?” Lovane snarled ” you still rejected my food and now you’re cooking with her” she broke into fake tears
“Lovane am sorry, I didn’t reject your food but….” he moved closer to her
“you’re not going to eat her food right?”
Kyle glanced at Océane “am not” he reluctantly said. If that’s going to make Lovane happy. Lovane sm-irked at Océane and Océane looked away. Lovane was taking her place and she had to do something about it.

“I want this” Maeva pointed to a row of chocolate. They were shopping and Océane was pushing Maeva on her wheelchair while Kyle was pushing an almost full shopping cart and Lovane was clinging on to him.
“mom! it’s time for the mermaid show” a little girl cried out dragging her mom
“am almost done pearl”
“Mermaid show?” Maeva thought
🔊 The mermaid show and sea water displ@ystarts in a second.
The speakers announced
“wanna watch the mermaid show?” Kyle asked Maeva
“no, I hate mermaids” Maeva replied and Océane shuddered. Is Maeva going to hate me is she finds out am a mermaid?
Océane wondered
“I wanna watch the show” Lovane said but her reason was the sea water. It was her opportunity of getting sea water and ex-posing Océane in a mall was the right place.
“you guys can go ahead, I’ll be with Kyle at the recreation center” Maeva said then wheeled herself to the left and Océane reluctantly followed.
Lovane and Kyle walked to where the show was Benn displa-yed. There was a fake mermaid in a walk glas-s pond filled with water.
“fake mermaids” Lovane scoffed then looked around and saw a queue of people buying sea water that was been fetched from the pond.
“Is that real sea water?” Lovane asked Kyle pointing at the queue
“I guess”
“I want some”
They joined the queue and after few minutes it to their turn. Kyle paid and Lovane was given a bowl of sea water
Perfect!
She sm-irked
“I’ll be back” Lovane said then went out in search for Océane.
She didn’t want Kyle to go with her so he wouldn’t st©p her.
Lovane asked for directions to the recreation center and found Océane and Maeva pla-ying video games.
“Hi Océane!” Lovane sm-irked and walked up to them
“where’s Kyle?” Maeva asked
“he’ll soon be here to take Océane to the fishermen” she laughed and poured the water on the Océane.
Everyone in the room g@sped and silence reigned and anticipated for the drama that would unfold.
“Nothing is happening” Lovane said in confusion
Océane looked at her b©dy, she couldn’t un-derstand what Lovane was up to.
“Lovane?!” Kyle walked in
Suddenly, Océane’s legs started turning to a tail.
“she’s a mermaid!” people started shouting and children were running in fear.
You’re doomed Océane
