Linda met us later and saw me sitting quiet while the guys were exercising.
She just greeted them and sat beside me taking my chin,
“Still worried? She asked and I sniffed not replying her.
‘Breakfast will soon be served, she said.
“I’m not hungry, you all can go ahead and eat, I said.
“Dora! Uche said but I ignored and la-id down on the be-d folding myself up.
“Its alright, guys breakfast is served and Dora clean up okay we will be going out, she said.
“Going out? I don’t have any wears to go out with, I said and Tunde guys walked in.
We greeted them but they c@m£ to check and clean up our wounds,
“Okay when you guys are done I’ll be waiting in the dinning, Linda said and excused herself and one of the guys c@m£ to me.
“Didn’t sleep well? He asked seeing my face and I shook my head as he gently re-moved the bandage. I just closed my eyes ti-ght covering my mouth with my palm,
“Sorry, it will hurt but for a while, the guy said and I nodded.
“How is your leg? I heard one of them asking Linda crush.
“Nna eh, the charm you put work wella by tomorrow I fit heal all o, I been think say I don lose my leg finish, he replied and the guys laughed.
“You still nee-d to un-dergo treatment on the leg but it will be absolutely fine, the guy said.
“E don alre-ady fine my brother nothing remain, he said and the guy only smiled and applied what he wanted applying while I was here enduring my own pains.
When the guys were done they left after we thanked them,
“We haven’t talked about Benson ever since our ordeal, where is his b©dy? The guy who rescued us said and I bowed my head.
“Linda said he’s in the mortuary, though I haven’t seen him because I was in the hospital, I replied.
“Despite our sacrifice to see he survives, they still killed him, the funniest of the guys said and we only heaved.
“Guys! We heard Linda voice outside.
“We are coming, we shouted inside and left to eat our breakfast including me that said I was not hungry…………
Linda still insisted to take me out, at least to get me wears, though her husband earlier gave her few wears he picked for her to change up with which she gave me one of it.
“Can I ask a question? I asked her on the way as she sat behind with me while the guy Tunde asked to follow us was driving.
“Okay, she said..
“Do you know where Manfred stays? I asked and she shook her head.
“No Dora and plea-se don’t start, she said..
“I am not starting anything Linda, but put yourself in my shoe and see if you won’t be more worried than I am. I am not going to confront him, I just want to see If my brothers are okay plea-se I beg you, i said.
“Dora don’t you un-derstand? I don’t know where he stays, she said.
“I do, the driver said.
“You do? plea-se can you just let me have a glance of it? plea-se, I pleaded.
“I was given a strict warning and that I will keep, you can’t go there, he said.

“Its okay by me, I said and she threw her face the other way.
I know she wasn’t happy I was stubborn, but I had to give myself this as-surance that it was only a bad dream.
We stuck the bags at the back as we also picked some wears for the guys to change up with as they were putting on the clothes Tunde guys gave to them.
I was anxiously at the car waiting to be shown Manfred house, but as the driver got into the street he stays, we saw people kind of gathered around the street.
“What’s happening? I asked as we couldn’t ask anyone because of the windscreen on.
Then we saw flames,
“A building is on fire, the guy said and my heart skipped while Linda looked at me.
“Whose building? Linda asked.
“Manfred building is on flames, he dropped as we saw the beautiful edifice on flames.
“Edward! Samuel! Was what c@m£ out of my mouth as I screamed struggling with the door, before they could say JACK! I was alre-ady in front of the gate hitting it violently.
“Why can’t anyone open it? Why can’t the gate be open! I shouted at anyb©dy I saw.
“No one is inside the building and no one too is interested to call the fire service after all is a big man and he can replace the properties and the building within a week, so its none of our business, a man said and I was violently hitting on the gate.
“Dora st©p, Linda said holding me and I looked at her with my eyes red,
“My brothers are in there i can feel it, plea-se hear the request of this orphan and safe my brothers I beg you, they are the only family I have plea-se! I screamed and fell on my knees crying in pains.
“Someone is inside? Someone asked.
“Yes plea-se children are inside, we nee-d to open this gate, Linda replied.
Right there the people began hitting on the gate violently using anything they see trying to break it throu-gh, alre-ady Linda has alerted her husband to inform him of what is going on now while I was just there on the ground praying very seriously.
“plea-se God, don’t let my brothers go for what they don’t know about, plea-se God don’t let me be alone in this world, I kept praying and boom the gate was open.
I was the first to push myself and ran inside,
“Edward! Samuel! I shouted running to and fro outside to every windows.
“Sister! I heard someone screamed.
“Edward! Where are you? i shouted again and I saw them hitting on the aluminum window alerting us where they are.
The building by now was burning on a p@rticular side and i attem-pted to run in but someone held me and it was Uche,
“Stay here, he said and the guys were alre-ady there with Tunde.
The 4 of them ran into the building even when others refused to in the name of they can’t die for rich man pikin when they have their own family to take care of.
“Edward, Samuel, plea-se hold on, sister is here! I will shout.
“Sister plea-se help us, Samuel is fainting on me, I will hear Edward say despite he was crying.
“Hold on plea-se, someone is coming to take you out of there, plea-se hold on Sister loves you, I will shout there jumping at different positions.
At a point I couldn’t hear my brothers voice as I kept shouting their names,
Probably the smokes must have knocked them off totally and it almost drove me crazy.
Linda just hvgged me ti-ght crying too as I nee-ded no consolation at that point, I saw myself dying alre-ady as I saw the house increasing in flames.
People began running out from the compound while Tunde kept ma-king calls shouting on the fire service to be quic-k.
“Honey we nee-d to leave this place, i am getting chocked up alre-ady, Tunde said to Linda.
“I’m staying here, if here is this choked up and h0t, how will the inside be? Will my little brothers survive this? What about the guys who risked it to go in there? Oh God! I cried out.
“plea-se go if its not good with you, I’ll manage Here, Linda said to him.
“Are you sure about this? Tunde asked and Linda left me to talk to him, but I quic-kly ran inside the burning house without knowing,
“Dorothy no!!!!!!! Linda screamed as I staggered into the dark house screaming on Uche……….

Episode 82.
I met the guys coming as they tried finding their way out,
“Dora why are you here? Uche asked when he saw me and I saw they were only 3.
“Where’s one person? I asked ignoring him..
“He’s in but we can’t help him, let’s go, one of the guys replied me and they staggered out but I refused to go.
I went in without them noticing and saw Linda crush on the floor, something fell on his legs and the guys couldn’t help him.
The flames were approaching and when he opened his eyes to see trying to raise the stick up he shouted on me,
“Get out of here, go! He shouted and my eyes fell on a sp©t.
I stubbornly raised it up and shifted it aside and began to cough uncontrollably,
“Dora plea-se I appreciate but you nee-d to go, he calmly said this time and I looked at his face and saw he was re-ady to die.
“No I won’t let Manfred win again, I said and raised the stick and he was able to shift his leg out.
I helped him up and we staggered out, things began to fell down but we smuggled ourselves out and met the guys very scared waiting for us.
The guys got him and I ran to look for my brothers but saw them about to be put in the ambulance,
“They survived right? Did they get burnt? I asked but i was st©pped.
“They are still breathing but has inhaled a lot of smoke, and yes they were p@rtly burnt but not too serious, a nurse there replied me and the door of the ambulance was closed which I couldn’t even see their faces and Linda t©uçhed me.
“Dora they will be fine and you also nee-d to treat yourself, you and the guys, she said and I looked at myself to see bruises but the truth was I didn’t feel it and I sadly looked at the guys and went to them,
“Thank you so much, I said.
“Thank you for helping me back there, Linda crush said and the fire service arrived.
“What are you coming to do? Return back, get out! Tunde shouted on them.
“I’m sorry sir but we had…….. “I said get out! Go back your services is not nee-ded anymore! He shouted at them and his guys began pushing them back which they drove off.
“ru-bbish! Stupid! Tunde angrily said and looked at us.
“You nee-d to go to the hospital and don’t worry, I’ll surely fish out Manfred no matter where he will hide, Tunde said.
“Believe us sir when we say we are fine, we don’t nee-d the hospital as long as the children are there, the guys said.
“What about you? Your legs…… ‘Don’t worry about me, your doctors can take care of us, and plea-se let’s get out of here, Linda crush said.
“Okay if you say so, plea-se take them all home I still have somewhere to go, Tunde said.
“plea-se sir I nee-d to see my brothers in the hospital, I said.
“Don’t be scared, 2 of my guys followed the ambulance, you nee-d to rest Dora, Tunde said.
“If you want I can go to the hospital for you, just rest okay and get your medications, Linda said and i had no choice than to accept.
“But I’ll surely see them today right? I asked.
“That’s a promise, Tunde replied and i got into the car with the guys and drove off while Linda left with her husband to the hospital.
“Sorry we doubted you, but what took you there? Uche asked while we were going home and i told them what happened.
‘You’re stubborn yes, but I think its good, Linda crush said and I sniffed and coughed.
“What really started the fire? And why was only my brothers at home? I asked and the guys heaved.
“The fire was very deliberate. The gate was locked, and when we got in, the children door was locked and they were tied on a chair. We had to break the door open which took our time, and had to untie the boys because the ceiling fell on them. Your uncle is a Devil, he wanted roasting your brothers alive, this must be a sacrifice, Uche narrated.
“Remember when i told you your uncle is wounded and can do anything? Looks like he wanted to do this to have more power because of what Tunde did to him, Linda crush said.
“And now he didn’t succeed, if this was a sacrifice it will surely hunt him. You don’t disappoint powers, they come after you when you fail to give them the food they want, Tunde boy who was driving added.
“plea-se I don’t want the powers to just strike him like that, he nee-d to die a painful death, it will be too cheap if he dies like that, the funniest of the guys said.
“I want to kill him myself, I promised him that, I said.
“I won’t let you stain your hands with blood Dora, Uche said.
“My hands won’t be stained with a human blood but that of an animal, a beast for that matter! I shouted and coughed loudly.
“Its alright guys, boss said he will surely deal with him and i will suggest you leave it to him. Trust me when I say Manfred will be good as dead with boss, The driver said.
“That’s better, looks like its not every battle that was meant for us to fight and win, he may be our designed help to finish what we started, Uche said taking my hand and i weakly placed my head on his shoulder………
We got home and the guy who drove us asked us to rest our b©dy as the guys who we do call doctors are busy out there.
“You’ll be around right? I asked him.
“Sure, I’ll be outside, and if you nee-d anything just call on me, he replied and left.
We drank few glas-ses of water and I felt like talking to Chinwe, I know she must be worried sick about me but none of us had our phones anymore to call her.
“Worried about your brothers? Uche asked.
“Thinking about Chinwe, she will be so worried about us and we don’t have her number, I replied.
“Dora that is not important now, I know she will be worried but let’s handle things one after the other, Uche said and i nodded and la-id down to rest but I couldn’t take my mind off the awful sight I witnessed minutes ago.
I can’t tell how long I sle-pt off but I was woken up by Uche and i felt very sick.
I couldn’t even lift my b©dy from the be-d and our doctors were around to attend to us.
“What’s wrong with you? One of them asked checking my temperature but it was very very High.
“Relax relax, you’re stressed up I un-derstand, the guy said.
“how are my brothers? Have they woken up yet? I weakly asked him.
“Your brothers are receiving treatment and no they haven’t woken up yet, but they will. They really got in enough smoke, let’s just hope for the best, he replied and i attem-pted to get up but they held me down.
“I nee-d to see them plea-se, I said.
“Not in your condition Dorothy, you seeing them won’t make them conscious either, you nee-d to think about yourself now before you break down just look at you, the guy said and I tearfully looked at Uche
“He’s right Dora, you’re not strong let’s hope by tomorrow you’ll have a little strength to go see them, Uche said and i closed my eyes and eventually sle-pt off.
There i saw myself in the village, I was entering right into father compound and I was wondering what i was doing there.
Then i saw my mom c@m£ out from the house and saw me,
“Ahh Dora you finally c@m£? Why are you looking like that? She asked me as i was looking at her surprised.
“I thought…. I thought, I just said pointing at her not able be complete it but she only laughed and got my bag from me.
“Welcome, come in i prepared your favorite for you, you’re looking so fine, she said when i got in and sat down still uneasy with myself.
“Thank you, and you also, where’s daddy? I asked.
“He has gone to work but he will be back soon, she replied and started laughing again as i kept looking at her.
“Is it that I’ve changed a lot? This one you are looking at me like this, she said and i weakly smiled.
“Maybe you’ve become more beautiful than the last Time I saw you, I said and she sat down.
“That’s because you’ve made me happy, I and you father is so proud of you. You just gave us rest and peace of mind, and we know having you, your brothers is very secured because you will take Care of them. They are so lucky to have a sister like you my child, but why are you feeling this weak? She got up and t©uçhed my n£¢k.
“You’re h0t, wait here I’ll be back, she said and went in and i looked at the wall and saw my family ph0togra-ph.
She c@m£ out with a glas-s of water and some tablets on her palm and i slowly got it from her and drank it giving her the empty glas-s,
“Thank you, I said to her.
“Good it will strengthen you my child, lie and have your rest, she said arranging me on the sofa and i woke up.
I saw everyone there including Linda and they didn’t notice I have woken up, I saw it was morning and to know my mom visited me after so many years and gave me drugs made me began to cry as i still la-id on the be-d.
“Dorothy? Linda called out and help me up keeping my head on her che-st.
I told them the dream i just had and Uche cleaned my tears,
“Your mom c@m£ to give you strength, and they have seen all your efforts to have your brothers back. Don’t make her feel bad she visited you when you should be strong, Uche said.
“I have always wanted to talk to her, it hurts I couldn’t, i said.
“Its okay Dora what matters is she c@m£ to do what she nee-ded to do, honestly Dora you were severely sick and weak, and with the dream you just had, how are you feeling now? Linda asked.
“I’m feeling better, I replied.
“That’s good, now don’t trouble yourself anymore, she said and i sniffed and nodded.
“Can i now see my brothers? I asked and they all shook their heads smiling at me……….
