Episode 79.
A little sleep pas-sed throu-gh my eyes while i was waiting for the guy to get back to me, but I got woken up with a loud scream.
I fearfully looked at Linda and we knew it must be one of the guys screaming, who knows what they are doing to him.
Great fear held me and I tried covering my ears but the screams kept piercing throu-gh,
“I will kill you, I swear na me go kill you! I heard Linda Crush said and I shook my head.
“You still dey talk ba? Don’t worry we go see, I heard a strange voice said and we heard as the door was shut and the one just next to us was opened.
“Bros bros, how you dey na? I heard the same guy asked but the place was quiet.
“Shebi I been say when i ask Una question just rush answer, he shouted and I heard a ha-rd hit and the guy shouted “arhhhh!
I don’t know what happened, but a struggling sound was heard and it was as if someone was thrown on the wall and we felt the effect the other side.
“He won’t survive it, he’s dead, I cried silently on Linda as we alre-ady left the wall.
“I told you alre-ady Dora, nothing good will come out when we fight, Linda said and the door opened.
Surprisingly to us, it wasn’t the person we thought was dead.
“Let’s go, he said with his ba-re b©dy filled with bruises and we were too weak to lift our b©dy.
“Go get the rest, Linda said and he ran out to the other rooms.
We managed and took ourselves to the door but met our enemy coming,
“What! He shouted and put his hand at his back probably to take his gun but he was sh0t immediately.
I saw the guys and couldn’t believe my eyes, I and Linda condition was more better than theirs, in fact they couldn’t walk and I feared how we will leave the building with our condition.
“Na who you shoot eh? One of the guys ignorantly c@m£ out to see what’s happening and he was silenced.
“I think that may be all, they were only 3, I said.
“I know, Uche said and I couldn’t even look at him.
Only Uche and the guy next to us was strong enough to help the other 2, especially Linda crush, I’m sure they broke his legs.
“I’ll go check the outside, the guy next to us said searching the guys they silenced and gave us their weapons, while he left to spy the outside before we leave.
As he left i went to the dead guy br@vely and took his phone,
“Will you still call your husband? I asked Linda.
“He messed up, she angrily said.
“He didn’t know, but that will be later anyway, I said putting the phone In my pocket and the guy ran to us.
“There’s a car outside, we can use it, he said helping one of the guys to stand.
“Where’s the key to the car? Linda asked.
“Here, he said showing Linda the key and she got it from him,
“I’ll do the driving, she said.
“Let’s hurry up before someone else drive in, the guy said and we weakly took ourselves outside, got into the car and drove off.
“Where to now? I asked.
“Good question, Linda said looking at the guys.
“There’s a place we do hideout but I don’t know if the place has been fished out by now, one of them replied.
“We can’t go there, i heard you mention your husband, can he help? Uche asked and Linda heaved and got the phone from me and dialled his number.
After 2 rings he picked up,
“Hello? he said.
“Why did you tell Manfred? You wanted killing me right? Linda asked.
“What Linda? Where are you? I’m so sorry is not what you’re thinking, I’m right now in his premises asking about you, he said.
“oh that’s good to know, but we have escaped and we have no place to stay, he’s coming after us soon, Linda said.
“That will never happen, drive down to one of my properties I’ll s£nd you the address right away, he said and she dropped the call, the next minute a beep entered giving us the address and we drove to it.
We got to the place and saw the nice building and she horned at the gate and a young Man c@m£ out. Seeing us he quic-kly opened the gate bowing to Linda as she drove in,
“Welcome ma, what happened to you ma? The man asked.
‘plea-se no question, are the door to the rooms open? She asked.
“The keys are inside, he replied.
“Good, help me out Here, Linda said and he quic-kly helped the guys out taking them inside.
We got into the beautiful building like deserted refugees covered with blood and bruises, the man quic-kly gave us water and we drank like that was our life.
The man seeing us drank such amount of water knew we just escaped from de-ep $h!t.
“Is there food Here plea-se? Linda asked.
“No ma but I can order for food, he replied.
“plea-se do, hurry up before we Die, Linda said and he nodded and ran out.
I looked at the guys and saw them so helpless and weak and a horn c@m£ on the gate.
“Your husband? I asked Linda.
“It should be, she replied getting up and a new jeep drove in followed by another br@nd new car.
“Its him, she said and staggered outside while we remained inside, but I looked throu-gh the window to look at then.
An elderly man probably in his 60s c@m£ out hurriedly from the jeep,
“Linda! Who did this to you? He asked holding her.
“Manfred men, she replied and bur-st out crying.
“No no no you mean Manfred did this to you? He told me you are safe and not hurt, that he is only keeping you captive because of your friends he is keeping imprisoned so you won’t disclose their whereabouts, so he lied to me! He shouted.
“That’s not true! Manfred called you a weakling and that you can’t beat him. He starved me Tunde and treated me like a criminal, just look at me, Linda said crying and his face changed.
“You said Manfred called me what? He dare said i can’t do anything to him? He asked and she nodded.
“He said he will use me to give you a cl@p back for what you did to him, he also said he will be waiting for you when i told him you will come after him. You nee-d to see my friends, if not one of them was br@ve enough to fight for me he would have killed us all, Linda said and he hvgged her.
“Its okay let’s go in, he said taking her in and I quic-kly adjusted myself.
When he walked in, we quic-kly tried getting up to give him that respect but he asked us to sit down.
“What manna of wickedness is this? What did you all do to him? He asked.
“Absolutely nothing, weren’t you at the congress yesterday? Linda asked back.
“I was there, Why? He asked and Uche told him all that happened.
A little projection of some nas-ty stuff c@m£ up, but it was taken away before we knew It, but I didn’t notice there was something like that going on. So you bec@m£ a victim of it? He asked Linda and she nodded.
“Ahh Manfred, you had the guts to say that to me? Look at a small boy still trying to come up, Linda husband said shaking his head and heaved.
“Its alright, take care of them and their bruises till I get back, you, you and you come with me, he said appointing some of His guys to us.
“Where are you going to? Linda asked.
“He said he will be waiting for me, I have an unfinished business and I’ll be back soon, he said and left and Linda weakly looked at him.
“Ermmm let’s go in plea-se, the guys he appointed said to us and took us in……………
I can’t tell if the guys were doctors, because i felt life returned to my arm again, same to everyone of us.
Just as I thought, Linda crush leg was broken, probably he gave them a lot of stress that they did that to him, but he was as-sured his leg will be okay soon.
We had something to eat and weakly sle-pt off without any of us talking to each other concerning all that happened, it was alre-ady evening and our b©dy nee-ded that peace of mind.
The guys promised to wake us up anytime Linda husband arrives because we wanted thanking him, honestly he just c@m£ to us at the right Time and I wondered why Linda found it difficult to love him………..
