How I wished this was a dream, but hell no! It’s really happening. It’s Micheal, it surely is him.
“He looked cute right?” James tea-sed and all of a sudden my eyes felt soar.
Applauses could be heard from ever corner of the room, but my eyes were glued on Micheal. I just can’t believe this. Just as he was to bypas-s towards our table, our eyes locked but he ignored me by looking away as if I were a total stranger to him. Ofcourse, I no longer have impact on him.
He walked hand in hand with the president, to their prepared seats
“You may now take your seats”announced the director of ceremony.
“Courtney, what are you doing?” James whispered to me. I looked around and everyone was seated exept me. Honestly, I felt so weak to even seat down till James pu-ll-ed me on my chair.
My mouth was slight opened agap, tears were knocing in my eyes and my head was ban-ging me like crazy. I am trying so ha-rd to st©p myself from shedding tears.
“Ladies and gentle men, once again, I welcome you to this great event tonight where by the president would like to award the most intelligent student of the year . It’s rare for the president to personally award a student, but the way this p@rticular student pas-sed his final exam, it was a great surprise and shock to the whole world. Its really an honor to have the president here. A p@rty will follow after the president awards our bright student”said the master of ceremony and people have their applause.
All this while my eyes were fixed on micheal, he would look my direction say something to the president and would laugh or smile
“Don’t hope too much, he didn’t come back because of you”James said.
“I know that very well, so don’t remind me”I said while wh!pping the tears that we’re about to fall.
“May I now call the owner of Shire Highland academy to make his speech”said the mc and to my surprise, it was James that walked to the podium.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am James ,the son of the owner of Shire highland acadamy. You might be surprised that am standing before you instead of my father, yes,ofcourse I have to coz I am the future heir of the school. So this is the perfect time to get rid of fear. Well,first,I would like to talk about our celebrity of the day.”he paused and looked at me, then shifted his gaze to Micheal.
” Micheal, I know Micheal very well. Other of you might be surprised how I got to know Micheal though he was just a poor driver’s son.”James took a breath and looked at me.”i met Micheal for the first time when I visited my fiancee’s house for the first time. He was introduced to me as my fiancee’s driver’s son. He was a great boy and everything he say was wise. ”

Yes, I am back, all thanks to Miguel who’ve made me change my mind and made me strong enough to come back home.
It was not an easy decision to make, I expected to see Tiny at the p@rt but I didn’t expect to see her looking at me in such a way. She seem as if she was shocked to see me,as if she was not expecting me.
Well, maybe she is just pretending ,so let me just pl@yalong. I was really happy to see my friends also at the event,I can’t wait to say hi to them.
In no time,James walked to the podium and for that moment,I knew that he was up to no good.
“Well, some of you might be wondering how a mere driver’s son manage to attend such an expensive school. Well,it’s all thanks to my future father in-law who treated Micheal as a son and more over,thanks to our school that has a no disclaimer rule between the poor and rich but treat everyone equal. Micheal is a bright student and he is not selfish, I am glad that our school got to teach such an intelligent guy. Sometimes I was afraid that Micheal would take away the girl I dearly loved coz of his intelligence,b
But I guess intelligence is not all,my fiancee was never tricked by his intelligence ,that was a joke”he said and everyone laughed.
“Well,finally I believe you all heard of what happened to Micheal few days before the finale exams. He was accused of r@p£ and our school turned a blind eye to him. I believe that you just recently heard that it was all I lie. It was my fiancee that framed Micheal and after realising her mistake,she apologized to the world,and she was the one who pleaded with the school to let micheal sit for him finale exams. I am here by sincerely apologising to Micheal in place of Shire highland academy teachers and students. We really did something bad to you. plea-se forgive us. And in place of my fiancee,I am really ashamed of her behaviour,this I ask for you forgiveness”he took few steps away from the the podium and made a bow.
I don’t feel his sincerity,I wonder why he is doing all this.
“Lastly,I want to encourage all Al poor students out there. If Micheal ,a poor driver’s son has become a hero out of nowhere,it is also possible for you. Your Excellency ,honorable ministers,ladies and gentlemen,I now rest my case” James looked at me and sm-irked. Gosh,what a long boring speech.
“What a boring speech”I whispered to myself.

What a cra-ppy day, I cannot believe people are giving him applauses for such a nons-en-se speech.
Wait, so it Courtney who pleaded with James’ fathe to let me seat for my final exams? Wait, if it’s so the James I know will never agree without someone in return.
I g@sped. Wait, perhaps….. No, Courtney cannever do that. Is there a reason behind courtney’s change of character during the finale examination of mine?
I looked at Courtney honestly, she looked all drained, she’ve lost a lot of wait in only four days.
“Ladies and gentle men, plea-se allow me to call upon the president of this country to make his speech”said the minister of education and everyone stood up.
“You may all sit down.”said the president as soon as he stood on the podium.
“I knew that Korea is blessed with intelligent students, but I never thought that someone will pas-s exams this amazingly. I believe that if intelligency is treated well, it might be helpful to the country. That’s why I’ve decided to award Micheal personally as to set example to other students out there so that they must also work ha-rd .”he paused for a while.
“Well, I am just happy and glad to hear that despite all the painful events this child has experience in his life, he never gave up and yet he become the best students of all the kids in our country. Both the young and poor. For being a good example, I will treat Micheal as my own child. I will pay for his
tertiary education and will go straight to work once he finish his studies. I will accommod@t£ him with a place to stay in while attending Boston University and I would like to apologise for the shame that the country brou-ght upon him. In place of my citizens, sincerely apologise to you”he said with a bow and I stood up and bowed as well.
“Come,”he said and I walked to the podium. He hvgged me and gave me my award.
“Congratulations”he said and I bowed again, this time everyone stood up. The president went and took his seat and i was left to make a speech .
I looked around and saw that Tiny was very emotional though she was not looking at me.
“Hello everyone, I am Micheal Roche. Well, I am over joyed that I feel like crying. The time I was seating for the exams, was very hectic for me and for me to receive this award, it’s like a dream and am very honored”I bowed as people gave me hands of applause and cheers. I could see others shedding tears of sympathy.
“Well, I would like to give my special thanks to my father who always support and trust me. He believes in me no matter what kind of situation I am in. He is the best father one can ever ask for.”I paused for a while.
“I would like to thank Mr Andrea, for treating me like his own son and older brother to his only daughter. I thank him for supporting me and for providing my basic nee-ds, it’s all thanks to him that I attended such a prestigious school and I am in this position today.”I said
“As for the scandal that happened before exams, everyone do make mistakes, eventually it was not her fault, i caused it all upon myself,thus do not worry i have arleady forgiven. Lastly,I would like to advise my poor fellow students out there that being rich is not everything but ha-rd working. I am a driver’s son but yet I made it here today. It’s me a driver’s son and not some rich kid. plea-se do not be swayed away that poor people can not be recognised by the world, gr-ab every opportunity that comes your way and show the world what you can. Thank you, I wish you all the best. I promise to go to the university and become a reliable citizen of this country”I said and people applaused. I made a bow and return to my seat.
“Ladies and gentle men, it’s now time to p@rty, drink and eat to your heart content”said the mc and in no time the p@rty begun.
I excused myself and went to meet my friends.
💖 TINY’S POV💖
I promised Michel that I won’t show up here, am sure he come here hoping not to see me. Definitely he thinks that I planned it all.
I encouraged him to return home coz I missed him. I have to do everything possible to avoid him thus, I excused myself to gr-ab a drink.
“Well, how shameless of you to show up at this p@rty after causing such mess” someone said. I looked up and it was Missy.
“plea-se Missy, I have no time for you”I said.
“You’ve got no time for me?ofcourse you don’t nee-d to have time for me after giving my b©yfri£nda ha-rd time”she said.
“He was never your b©yfri£ndand Infact, j arleady apologised to everyone”she said.
“Apologised to everyone?” She rolled her eyes “yeee I can see. To be honest, whenever I see you now, I fell like throwing up. Someone like you do not deserve to be alive at all”another schoolmate said.
“Just go and die courtney. If I were you, I would not even raise my head I would have been dead by now. Do you know that you look like a stain to me? Should I show you how a stain look like?”Missy said sarcastically as she walked towards me and poured some wine on my dress and that made me furious.
“Enough! do you thing it’s easy for me to face Micheal? Do you think I planned to come here? Do you know how ha-rd it if for me arleady?”I said in tears.
“Do you think it’s easy for me to face him? Do you think I can easily breath? Do you think …my heart is hurting”I said in tears. My heart felt so heart broken that I wept like a little baby.
“Then just go and die”Missy said and I could not help it but found my way to the bathroom.
I sat down and cried my heart out. I just pray that I don’t bu-mp into Micheal coz that will be the end of my life, I could not st©p hitting my che-st with my hand. My heart is about to explode now.
