MY
DAYS AT CROWN SCHOOL🎓

#Episode_41

The service was finally over, and everyone was congratulating the newest couple. I gr@bb£d love beside me, and excused myself from Austin. “Want to say hi to Victoria.” I told him before leaving.

“Suzy!” I heard that voice that belongs to someone I’ve always admire. I turned around and I was gr@bb£d by Temi who hvgged me so ti-ght. We talked on phone, but it’s been three years since we’ve seen each other last. I couldn’t recognize who stood at my front. “Where is my model?” I actually said that out, and she laughed.

“This is p@rt of the change o.” She chuckled. “Now I hit the gym everyday since my fiance complained I’m getting too fat.”
Oh my! She’s now fat. The guy was right.

“Don’t worry,” I told her. “You’re as beautiful as always, and you still remain my model.”

She giggled. “Suzy o..You also look breathtaking. Smashing. Beautiful. Stunning, and that b©dy, the guys be staring like watching African magic.” She hvgged me again, and I bur-st into laughter. “Thank you Temi.” I blu-shed.

She drew Love’s cheeks with her two hands. “Hi pretty little girl. Hope your big aunty is taking care if you?”
Love smiled, and nodded.
“Less I forget,” Temi said. “Come meet my Mom Suzy. She has been so eager to meet the scholar girl of my set in Crown school.”
I laughed, as Love and I followed behind.
“Mom,” Temi tapped a tall, dark woman who was busy having a serious discussion with someone. If that was her mom, there was no crime in Temi getting fat. She was just like her Mom in stature.
“Mom,” she said loudly this time before having the woman turned towards her. “Mom meet Suzy. The Suzy James Victoria and I always talk about.”
“Really!” The woman was alre-ady smiling at me, and hvgged me to her b©dy. “Wow! You’re the scholar everyone had been talking about.” A smile appeared on my face. “How you doing? Now a doctor right?”
I laughed. Guess they’ve told her so much about me. I nodded.

“Congratulations dear.” She wra-pped me to her b©dy again. “Is this your daughter?” She pointed at Love.
Temi laughed, while I just smiled. “Mom, that’s her niece.”

“Oh!” The woman smiled. “Thanks for coming to celebr@te with your friends. Don’t hesitate to call on me once our groom is standing.” She tea-sed, raising her eyebrows at me.

“Yes ma. Thank you ma.” I said, and she was back ordering some people around for preparations.

“I don’t think you’ve talked to Victoria this morning?” Temi asked.

“No. plea-se take me to where I can find her.”
We headed outside the church, walking towards a car. “She’s here. I want to get something.” Temi excused herself, and I knocked on the glas-s of the car. It was tinted, so I couldn’t see anything.

She opened the door of the car and gave me a heart warming hvg. “But you c@m£ late Suzy.”

I laughed. “Take it easy Mrs. Donald. You should let me congratulate you first.”

She blu-shed, and pout at me. “Thank you ma.”
I laughed. “Aunty Victoria, congratulations.” I heard my little niece beside me.

“Aww, my baby come to Aunty.” Victoria lifted Love from the floor.

“Hey, easy with her. You shouldn’t be carrying something heavy.”
Victoria looked at me with one eye. “We’ve see you doctor. You people should continue ganging up on pregnant women.”
Haha.. I laughed.

“It’s for your good ma’am.” I was alre-ady laughing, knowing the reaction she would give me.
“Victoria.” A familiar voice called and opened the door. He saw me and immediately looked away.

“Victoria, mom said she had been calling since. Where is the driver. You guys should leave alre-ady. ”

“Victor wait,” she st©pped him before he could escape. “There is no way Mom would reach me. Temi is holding my phone.”

“Okay. Take mine,” he handed his phone to Victoria. “Have someone return it.”

“Hi,” I heard Love’s voice, trying to make Victor notice her. I wish I could cover her mouth, but I couldn’t.

“Hi baby girl,” Victor smiled at her, raising her chin with his hand.

“You didn’t call me beautiful, or pretty.” Love accused Victor.
I couldn’t help but have a smile on myl-ips. Austin actually calls her that.
I heard Victor’s rou-gh, and thick laugh. Not loud, but I heard it.

“What’s your name?” He asked instead.

“My name is Love,” she replied.

“You know what Love. There is only one pretty girl like you I call that.” He looked up at me, and I quic-kly looked away, pressing my phone.

“Really!” My niece said in surprise.

What does she know?

“Will you tell me about her?” She said again.

Victor laughed. Happy, and full of fun, and I couldn’t help but steal a quic-k glance to see his smiling face. He always look so handsome whenever he smiles. He smiled at Love. “That’s one of the things I love talking about,” he said. “To tell everyone how much she drives me crazy, and how much I love her.”

“Crazy! You’re crazy. You want to run mad?” Everyone bur-st into laughter at the reply Love gave.

“No,” Victor laughed. “Come, let’s continue this in pri-vate. Your big aunty will come get you, when we get to the hall.” He scooped Love on his shoulder. “Anyone about to disagree.” I knew he was looking at me, but I refused to look up.
“Aunty Suzy bye bye.” Love said, and I heard the door of the car closed.
“Hmm…” Victoria cleared her throat, and giggled. “And they are still denying what they feel for each other.”
“Victoria.” I looked up at her.
She smiled. “Don’t fight it,” she said. “It’s obvious you still like him too. And I very much know he really like you. Since he c@m£ back, he had been stylishly asking about you, but I didn’t speak up because I know you’ve moved on. Though I know his relationsh!pto Gabi was mom’s doing. What I don’t know is if he wants you back, and re-ady to prove his love for you this time around.”
A smile appeared on my face.
“See you, you’re smiling.” Victoria tickled me, and I laughed more ha-rder.
Wait! I didn’t know what smile stands for?
Victoria wasn’t saying anything funny.
Well, it’s good to smile right.
It’s good to smile all the time.

“plea-se hear him out when you guys see each other at the hall.”

“Vic…”

“I’m not asking you to quit your relationsh!p.” She quic-kly added.

“All I’m asking is that you should plea-se hear him out. If truly you guys have moved on, you shouldn’t see each other, and not be able to say common hi. So will you?” She dragged my hand up to her.

I gigled. “I’ve heard you.”

“Is that a yes?”

I gave her a nod instead. I wasn’t sure if hearing him out was the best decision to make.

💊💊💊💊💊💊💊

We got to the hall, and to my surprise, Temi got there before us. Victoria got down, and I adjusted her go-wn before she could go in. She was about to leave with Temi, when she turned back. “Oh! Suzy plea-se help with this.” She trusted Victor’s phone in my hand.

I didn’t see it coming. But whether I like it or not, I knew I will to have to see him to get Love back. I glanced around the busy compound of the hall. Asking some of the people if they’ve seen the bride’s brother.

“I just saw him earlier carrying a small girl.” The fourth person I asked said. “You will have to walk down beside the hall. I saw his friends there. He should be there too.”

“Thanks so much ma.” I made my way towards the place immediately.

As the woman said, they sat in group, laughing at what someone was saying. They threw their heads to the back almost breaking their n£¢k. He was also laughing, and I could hear him from afar. Almost getting closer, I recognized someone immediately. Crazy hair cut, beautiful white teeth, and over pinkl-ips. As I was about to reach them, he looked up, saw me, and walked up to me first, calling the attention of the remaining guys at me.
I smiled, and he moved closer, k!ss!ngmy cheeks. “So good to see you again Suzy.”

“Same here Yomi. Where are you growing to?”
He laughed. “Isn’t that what you girls like. Tall and handsome.”
I giggled quietly. He has not changed.

“Your niece have been entertaining us since. She told us how you injected her telling her it won’t pain her, but will only make her eat biscuits, and li-ck sweets very well.”

I laughed as I remember the scene. I had to say something so she could take the injection. “Isn’t that what they want to hear?”
“Exactly!” Yomi nodded, and smiled. “She’s so proud of her big sister.”

We kept on talking, and I laughed as I couldn’t help it. Yomi knows how to add humour to whatever he says.

“Guess you’re here for our little Love?” Yomi asked.

“Yes,” I replied, and walked towards them at the table. My niece was holding biscuit with her right hand, while the second one was with a bottle of yoghurt.
See enjoyment.

“Love get up, let’s go.”

“No,” she whined. “I don’t want to leave uncle Victor.”

“You know what,” Yomi interrupted. “Let’s have a little trip.”

“Yes!” Love quic-kly shouted happily, and was smiling again. And immediately, God knows how they signal to each other. The other guys gave silly excuses and left also. The person I was here for was taken away again. I remembered I wasn’t here for Love alone. I stretched out my hand at Victor. “Your phone.”

He took it, but gr@bb£d my hand with it.
I raised my eye brow at him.

“Hey, let’s talk. You can’t keep ignoring me all day.” He was keeping his voice down. “How are you?”

“I’m fine,” I said, retrieving my hand away from his.

“Won’t you sit?”

“Victor I’m not sitting. Let’s say whatever we want to say here.”
I saw him smiled. “I miss that voice.”

I looked up at him, and he was still smiling. “Doctor Suzy. How does it sounds like? Beautiful just like you.” He was having fun teasing me. I turned the direction of my two eyes to look at him, and he started laughing.
.
“You think that is funny?
“You actually make me act weird, and I love it.” He put his two hands in his pockets, and I couldn’t help but smile.
“Yes, that smile. She’s finally smiling at me again” He moved closer, and I moved back.
“Hmm.. Victor.”

“Hmm… Suzy.” He did his own.

“Can you just act normal?”

“How can you expect me to act normal when I’m with you.” He mimicked in a girl’s voice, and I started laughing.
“You haven’t changed at all.” I finally allowed myself to stare at his fine face.

He chuckled. “So is my feelings for you never fade at all.” He brushed my hair with his hand.

“I have Austin.” I said to him like a whisper, and he heard me well.

He hissed. “Austin again. You and this Austin sha!”

“I didn’t like the way you talked to him earlier. And I’m sorry for the sl@p.” I apologize, and moved back away from him.

He giggled lightly. “Austin, Austin, Austin. He get the k!ss, while I got the h0t sl@p.” He ru-bbe-d his cheek, ma-king it obvious.

I bur-st into laughter, knowing the sl@p was h0t though. “I said I’m sorry. You can just take paracetamol.”

He laughed also, and I joined him. “So, paracetamol is now working for h0t sl@p now?”
I couldn’t suppressed my smile. “Just use it to prevent you from having serious headache.”
“No,” he shook his head. “It is you that can prevent the serious headache. And that Austin of a guy is my serious headache.”

“Do you realize you’re talking about my b©yfri£nd?”

“And can’t you see he’s hurting your future husband.”
Like seriously…

The guy was saying crazy things, and I couldn’t help but giggle when he acts so silly.

He laughed at so many things, and he did his best to make me laugh so ha-rd too. I couldn’t recognize myself anymore. This was something I told myself I won’t do with Victor anymore. But no, it was happening again. My phone buzzed. “Excuse me plea-se.” I checked the message that c@m£ in.
📨
✒”Where are you?”
Austin✔✔.

“Guess we’ve had so much talk today. I nee-d to leave.”

“Okay,” he just said, not adding anything to it. I turned to my heels and headed back into the hall. My phone buzzed again.

Austin I’m almost there. I said to myself, and quic-kly opened the message to reply him back.
📨📨
✒’Ever beautiful. Don’t you think I nee-d to come
around for check up soon. We nee-d to do something
about that h0t cheek. And I’m looking forward to
Doctor Suzy performing surgery on it with her
hands.’💊

No doubt who the s£nder was. A smile crept on myl-ips. I blu-shed, and shook my my head. Immediately, I locked my phone back. Where he got my number wasn’t strange to me. From Victoria.
