episode 17
Mrs chioma returned back fr the village that evening, she was so happy that she was able to get what took her there.
AMARA
so, you travelled to see Grandma? why didn’t you tell me yesterday?
MRS CHIOMA
because I didn’t feel like, beside I know you, you will say you want to follow me
AMARA
I wouldn’t have ooh, not when I have something special doing here.
MRS CHIOMA
where is your sister?
AMARA
she’s in the bath I guess, how’s Grandma?
MRS CHIOMA
she’s fine…she sends her regards
AMARA
I really miss that woman ooh.
MRS CHIOMA
don’t worry, she will soon come to visit us.
AMARA
(excitedly)
I can’t wait.
MRS CHIOMA
yeah, so what did you girls cook?
AMARA
“we”? I didn’t cook ooh, you know I don’t know how to, but Amelia cooked us spaghetti and beans.
MRS CHIOMA
okay, I will go freshen up before I come eat.
AMARA
alright mum…. mum you didn’t buy anything for me?
MRS CHIOMA
what were you hoping I’d bring for you? we have everything at home.
AMARA
just go and bath, I have plenty of gist for you.
Mrs chioma smiled and went into her room, Amara opened the door and went outside to call Michael, she didn’t want anyone to know who she was talking to.
Michael was out with his friends Tony and Matt when Amara called, he didn’t know who was calling and the noise there wouldn’t allow him to speak comfortablely well with the person so he just ignored the call.
Amara called and called till she got tired and decided to go back inside.
On the other hand Tony and Matt wondered why their friend was refusing to pick his phone.
MATT
why are you not picking your call bro?
TONY
I wonder, the call could he important you know.
MICHAEL
if it’s important the person will call back tomorrow, beside the noise is too much I could ba-rely hear you guys.
MATT
then why not text the person to inform him or her that you are busy and would call back later.
MICHAEL
is that necessary?
TONY
of course….
Michael decided to do as his friends have suggested so he took his phone from the table and texted the caller “can I call you back in an hours time? I’m busy now”
After sending the text he dropped his phone and took his glas-s of wine to sip from it.
Amara smiled when she saw the message Michael sent to her, she was trying to he careful so no one, especially her sister would know she has Michael’s contact, she saved his name as “hotness”.
Mrs chioma came back to the living room after taking her bath, she went into the kitchen to dish some food, as she was coming out she met Amelia coming out from her room too.
AMELIA
mum you are back, welcome back
MRS CHIOMA
Thank you my dear, how have you girls been?
AMELIA
we have been fine, where did you go to mum? when I woke up yesterday you were already gone
MRS CHIOMA
I went home to see Grandma
AMELIA
hope she’s okay, because the trip was kind of too sudden.
MRS CHIOMA
she’s fine, she sends her regards.
Mrs chioma left her presence and went to the living room to eat and watch TV.
Amelia went into the kitchen too and dished her food before she came back to join her mother.
Amara went to Peter’s door to knock, she was hoping his alone at home and luckily for her he was homes alone.
PETER
This one you are just coming to thank me since yesterday.
AMARA
sorry dear, I would have come that yesterday but your girlfriend Gina was around
PETER
but she left later in the evening
AMARA
I didn’t know, can I come inside?
PETER
look, you can come inside but I’m really exhausted from the mad se-x Gina and I had, I can’t do another one ooh.
(he warned her)
AMARA
(She smiled seductively)
don’t worry, you don’t nee-d to work too ha-rd, I will do all the work myself.
before Peter could say jack, she pushes him out of the way and entered his room, Peter signed and locked his door before going inside to meet her…. she jumped on him immediately and started ki-ssing him and before you know it they were already nak-ed on the bed Fu*k*ng each other.
Amelia wondered where her sister has gone to so she went outside to check on her, she checked the whole compound but Amara was no where to be found, she decided to go back inside when she pas-sed side Peter’s window and heard the loud M0-ning coming from inside his room…. she didn’t want to believe it was her sister Peter was devouring like that, to he sure she dialled her sister’s number and it started ringing in Peter’s flat.
“Jesus Christ, so Peter and Amara are still doing this ru-bbish, I thought ever since I spoke to her about Peter they have stopped doing this stuff” “can you imagine the way she’s screaming like a crazy woman”?
Amelia went inside to report to her mother what she has just confirmed.
AMELIA
mum, you won’t believe that Amara is in Peter’s room right now.
MRS CHIOMA
so? do you know what she went there to do?
AMELIA
what else? I just pas-sed his window mum, you nee-ded to have heard the way your daughter was M0-ning like a pornstar.
MRS CHIOMA
amelia learn to mind your business please, your sister didn’t stop you from enjoying yourself…. I thought you have a boyfriend, does Amara interfere whenever you and Michael are making out?
AMELIA
(Shocked)
you think Michael and I are having se-x mum? how is that even possible? I’m not his girlfriend yet, beside you know how I feel about s-× before marriage.
MRS CHIOMA
(She laughed)
se-x before marriage? so you still hold on to that blind doctrine of yours? wait are you still a V¡rgin? my dear you better throw away that stupid mentally before you lose Michael to someone who is very much interested.
Amelia was really pained, she couldn’t believe her mother who was the reason she lost her V¡rginity would rob it on her face, she didn’t want her mother to affect her with her words so she quietly went back into her room.
Amara and Peter were done makiy out, they laid on the bed relaxing.
PETER
the guy you asked me to lie to, who is he?
AMARA
you mean Michael? Michael is someone my sister brou-ght home, and
she was saying but decided to change the topic, she can’t give Peter the full gist, because Peter is like a dog, dogs can betray their owner if given a bone, she feared that if Amelia gives Peter something, he might open up and tell her what’s are plans are.
PETER
you don’t want to tell me?
AMARA
it’s not important.
her phone started to ring and she jumped up immediately she saw that it was Michael calling her…. she quickly wore her gown and ran outside to pick his call.

episode 18
Michael couldn’t stop thinking about Amara, he wondered who gave her his number, he planned on asking Amelia when he get to the office but he changed his mind thinking he would cause problem in their family
since Amara lost her job with Mr Patrick, she stopped looking for another one, she feels if she has Michael to herself then she wouldn’t have to work for any person.
she couldn’t wait for her sister to leave the house so she could tell her mother all that has happened so far.
immediately Amelia left the house, she ran to the kitchen and made herself a cu-p of tea, obviously that’s the only thing she knows how to do without mistake.
AMARA
mum will you go first or I should go first?
MRS CHIOMA
How do you mean?
AMARA
Hello!!!! you are my mother remember? I know you wont travel to the village it if wasn’t important.
MRS CHIOMA
I just went to see Granny that’s all.
AMARA
tell that to your stupid dumb daughter not me….tell me what you went to do in the village
MRS CHIOMA
(She smiled)
I hate it that you know me too well, well you go first because I discovered you have been so happy since I returned.
AMARA
(she sat down beside her mother)
Michael was here yesterday
MRS CHIOMA
oh I see, but your sister didn’t mention it
AMARA
(She smi-rked)
that’s because she’s not aware thay Michael was here.
MRS CHIOMA
(confused)
your sister was out?
AMARA
I sent her out so I could have time with Michael.
MRS CHIOMA
I find this your story rather slacking, can you gist me from the beginning?
Amara took in a de-ep breathe and explained everything to her mother from beginning to the end, she even mentioned how she ki-ssed Michael and he didn’t push her away but just simply walked away.
MRS CHIOMA
sometimes I wonder if you learnt all this wickedness from me, because you are too much.
AMARA
a lion can not give birth to a goat, I took after you mum.
MRS CHIOMA
okay, so now that you have stolen a ki-ss from him, what next?
AMARA
I don’t know yet mum, after everything I told him about Amelia, I was shocked to see him brou-ght her home.
AMARA
that’s because you are too fas-ter than your shadow, I told you to wait for me didn’t I? that I always have a solution to everyone, what if Michael open up to your sister? that means she won’t trust us again and our plans will fail.
AMARA
mum I’m sorry, I was just tempted to ki-ss him, and mum I swear it was the best ki-ss I have ever had in my life.
MRS CHIOMA
that’s good, but don’t call him, or try his number again till I ask you to.
Amara wasn’t happy but she knows that whatever her mother says there must be something involved so she promised not to call Michael again.
Later that day Michael drove Amelia to a fant restaurant, amelia tbought they were just out to eat, but was very surprised when Michael went on his knees and asked her to marry him.
Amelia was in shock, she couldn’t close her mouth, she was tempted to run out of the restaurant but that would mean embarras-sing the young man.
AMELIA
Please, can you excuse me for some minutes? I will like to use the ladies.
Michael felt hurt but he was optimistic that she would give him a better answer.
MICHAEL
you can go, but I won’t stand up until you come back and give me my answer.
Amelia saw the look in his eyes, she knew he was serious , she knew there was nothing she say that would make him stand up so she excused herself to the bathroom.
Amelia took her phone from her bag and called her younger sister, Amara is the only sister and friend she has, so she’s the only one that can advise her at the moment.
AMELIA
Michael asked me to marry him
(she said immediately Amara picked)
AMARA
(Shocked)
what!!!!!!
AMELIA
I’m as shocked as you…. I don’t know what to tell him.
AMARA
Where are you right now?
AMELIA
I’m in the ladies, I freaked out when he pops the question.
AMARA
you are in the ladies? are you crazy? why didn’t you say yes immediately? Michael is everything you will never see in another man, but if you don’t love him then your decision is perfect.
AMELIA
you feel Michael is the one?
AMARA
common, I know Michael is the one…. go get you man girl.
AMELIA
thanks Amara, I knew you would give me strength and that’s why I called you.
AMARA
you are my sister and I will always have your back, now go before that dude changes his mind.
Amelia smiled and dropped the call, she ran out to meet Michael still kneeing down, she knelt down with him and held his cheeks
AMELIA
sorry for walking out on you, I wanted to be sure I wasn’t dreaming Michael, it hasn’t been long since we met, how can you be so sure I’m the one or you?
MICHAEL
my feelings are always true, I knew you were the one from the very beginning.
AMELIA
okay, if that’s how you feel then I accept.
MICHAEL
you accept to be my wife?
(his voice breaking)
AMELIA
yes, I accept to be your wife.
Michael inse-rted the ring on her finger and hu-gged her, she held him back so ti-ghtly and cried on his shoulder.
other customers in the restaurant congratulated them, some even came to hu-g Amelia and shook hands with Michael.
later Michael drove Amelia home, he came down from the car to open the door for her, she blus-hed, it wasn’t the first time he was doing that but this time around it felt different.
MICHAEL
thank you so much Amelia.
AMELIA
that’s okay Michael, you have been thanking me since I said yes to you.
MICHAEL
You have no idea how happy you have made me…. tell your mum I will be coming with my people this weekend .
AMELIA
(Shocked)
so soon? why so soon?
MICHAEL
because I can’t wait to have you go myself baby.
She blus-hed even more when he called her a pet name, she hu-gged him surprising michael.
AMELIA
I will tell my mother, and she will make all the necessary arrangements too..
MICHAEL
alright babe, you should go inside now, I don’t want you to catch a cold.
AMELIA
goodnight Michael.
Michael pulled her to his body and ki-ssed her forehead, her cheeks immediately turn read, it was her first true ki-ss.
she ran into the house shyly and that made Michael to chuckled.
she got into the living room and met her sister and mother waiting for her, Amara jumpped in her screaming as if she was happy but de-ep down she felt like poisoning her sister, it’s over her dead body that she would be alive and watch Amelia be happy with Michael.
