Mother why
Episode 15
Amara brou-ght the idea of cooking for michael so he will have something to eat when he comes, Amelia accepted because Michael told her earlier he couldn’t eat what roserosemary cooked because he isn’t happy.
when the food was almost ready, Amara checked her time and saw that Michael would be arriving anytime soon, so she played a fast one on Amelia.
AMARA
don’t you think you nee-d to go get him a bottle of wine?
AMELIA
wine? but we have jui-ce in the fridge, he can drink that one.
AMARA
Common, when you visited him did he give you jui-ce to drink? I’m guessing he gave you the most expensive wine…. yours don’t nee-d to be expensive.
AMELIA
I know you gave me an expensive wine, but Amara, he will soon be here, look at the time? Beside I don’t have any money on me
AMARA
take a taxi, it would be fas-ter and as for the money don’t worry I will give you some.
AMELIA
you must really like this guy ooh.
AMARA
(She smiled)
yeah, I like him for my big sister …. I will get the money.
Amara went inside their room and counted some cash, she took a pen and a sheet of paper and wrote down plenty things that she didn’t nee-d so Amelia can buy it for her, at least that would give her enough chance with Michael.
she went to the kitchen to meet her sister, she gave her the list and amelia opened her mouth in shock.
AMELIA
you want me to get you all this?
AMARA
I’m sorry, but please yes, I just found out that my period have started, and you know how I use to feel whenever I’m seeing it, else I would have just gone myself.
AMELIA
(Feeling concern)
will you be okay?
AMARA
yeah, just get me all those things on the list….please.
AMELIA
alright, I will be back soon, don’t serve the food yet so it won’t get cold.
AMARA
no, I won’t
AMELIA
Good, and if Michael gets here before I return, can you do me a favor and keep him company?
AMARA
(She chuckled)
of course, his our guest.
Amelia collected the money from her sister and left the kitchen, she went inside and change into something more decent and outing, she came back to the kitchen to inform Amara that she has gone.
Immediately amelia’s taxi drove out of sight, Michael came horning at the gate, Amara ran to open the gate for him.
Michael drove into the compound and parked, he was surprised that it was Amara that came to open the gate for him.
when he came down from the car, Amara hu-gged him so ti-ghtly that made him wonder if it was her he actually came to visit, that moment he wished Amelia could hu-g him like that so he could be very happy.
Michael felt awkward that his girlfriend to be sister was hu-gging him R0m-ntically so he stylishly pulled out from the hu-g so as not to embarras-s her.
MICHAEL
(he clears throat)
you must be really excited to see me.
AMARA
(She blus-hed)
of course, I’m super excited…. please let’s go inside.
she led the way shaking her big a*s violently so Michael would see, but he looked elsewhere so he wouldn’t fall into temptation.
They got into the living room, and Amara pushed Michael to seat on the couch seductively, Michael smiled even though he didn’t get what she was trying to do.
AMARA
sorry I smell like this, I just finished taking my bath….. I want to quickly shower, give me a minute.
MICHAEL
wait, are we not forgetting something here, where is your sister?
AMARA
oh forgive me, she went out to see her boyfriend.
MICHAEL
(Shocked)
what do you mean by that?
AMARA
this morning I was with her when you called her and told her you were coming, she agreed and immediately she told you she was busy? that you guys should talk later, it was Peter that was calling her, he told her to come so when she dropped your call she took her bath and left.
Michael didn’t want to believe what Amara was saying, because Amelia look different, his mind wouldn’t have lied to him about her.
MICHAEL
I’m sorry, I’m not trying to say you are lying but it’s just too difficult for me to believe.
AMARA
do you want me to prove it that Amelia went to see her boyfriend?
Michael was silent for a very long time, if he says “yes” that means he doesn’t trust Amelia and if he says “no” that means he has taken away sleep from his own eyes because his conscience will be asking him why he didn’t find out the truth.
AMARA
Are you up for it?
(she asking touching his arm)
MICHAEL
okay, prove it.
Amara smiled and went inside, her initial plan was to send her sister out, so she could se-duce Michael, but with the way he pulled from the hu-g she already knows his kind of men, that you nee-d to break them before you se-duce them, and she knew the only way to break him was to tell him that Amelia was with someone else.
she excused herself and went into her room to take her phone, she quickly texted Peter her se-x partner who stay next door to help her play this game, and Peter being a player agreed immediately and said his girlfriend is there that he would convince her to speak like amelia.
she quickly deleted the text message and went back to the living room to meet Michael.
AMARA
here is my phone, are you sure you want to do this?
MICHAEL
just get it over with already.
He said with a shaking voice, praying and hoping that what Amara is saying isn’t true….. Amara dialled Peter’s number but he didn’t pick, he dialled again still he didn’t answer her phone, she became worries thinking maybe Peter’s girlfriend has refuse to play along.
she decided to try one last time and Peter picked, what Michael and Amara was hearing was a loud M0-n like to elegant were fighting, the M0-ning was so loud and disgusting.
PETER
Amara allow me to Fu*k your sister in peace, why are you disturbing my line?
AMARA
stupid boy, I thought I have warned you to stop going out with my sister, you are a bad influence to her.
PETER
(He M0-ns)
yeah, yeah, like that baby, ride me just like that.
AMARA
peter tell my sister to come back home now that Michael is here.
PETER
she’s here but I’m sure she wouldn’t hear you because she’s in another land trying to buy Orgasm. if you know what I mean.
Peter intentionally didnt end his call so Michael and Amara would hear him and his girlfriend M0-ning.
Amara turn to look at Michael, she could see how disappointed he looked, how hurt he looked and she smiled within, her plan has clic-ked and Michael has believed her.
she went to seat beside him to console him, Michael couldn’t move or say a word, he lacked how to express his feelings.
AMARA
I know you are hurt and confuse right now, but I want you to know that I will always be here for you, I wonder how my sister will leave a man like you for that dog called Peter, I just wonder.
MICHAEL
I feel like I’m dreaming Amara, why would your sister act like this? she would have just told me in truth that she has a boyfriend maybe I would have given up.
AMARA
That’s because she has another plan, she want to make you her money bag so she will collect from you and give to Peter.
MICHAEL
my head is spinning right now, I want to go home..
He got up and Amara got up too, before Michael could say jack, Amara ki-ssed him pas-sionately, but Michael pulled out immediately and turn to leave without saying a word but Amara grabbed him and begged him not to tell his sister he had exp-osed her else their will be war in their family…. Michael made her a promise and left.
she followed Michael outside and opened the gate for him, he had already gone far when she remembered she didn’t collect his number.
immediately Michael drove out of sight, Amelia’s taxi packed in front of their gate.

episode 16
Amelia got into the compound and was surprised that Michael hasn’t showed up yet, she went inside to meet her sister dancing.
AMELIA
this one you are so excited, what’s going on?
AMARA
(turn to look at her )
oh you are back, welcome.
AMELIA
Thank you, Michael hasn’t come yet?
AMARA
I haven’t seen him ooh, I would have called you but I don’t have credit.
AMELIA
(She dropped the stuff in her hand and sat down)
he hasn’t come? this is almost 4pm.
AMARA
maybe you should call him and see.
AMELIA
You think so?
AMARA
yeah, I mean he said he will be here by 3pm, it’s 4pm already.
Amelia checked her phone and saw that it was 4pm already, so she decided to call Michael.
AMELIA
that reminds me, how come you are dancing? I thought you said your period was on?
AMARA
it’s a miracle sis, I ate and the pain just disappeared…
AMELIA
hmmm, okay ooh….. I don’t know but his not picking his calls.
AMARA
maybe his in a meeting?
AMELIA
Michael doesn’t work on weekends, according to him weekend is the only time one can recover from the week stress.
AMARA
I don’t know what to think, I think you should give him time, he will call you back.
Amelia dropped her phone on the couch and went into the kitchen, she forgot to lock her phone so immediately she was out of sight Amara took her phone and copied Michael’s number from it.
she quickly saved it on her phone and locked her sister’s phone back.
Amelia tried to reach Michael all throu-ghthe day but it just kept raining without him answering…. on the other side Amara was in her best mood, she felt like it was her birthday because everything was going well for her.
The next day which was sunday, Amelia decided to drop by Michael’s house on her way back from church, the gate man showed her in.
she got to the front door and knocked, rosemary came and opened the door for her….. immediately rosemary saw her she smiled.
ROSEMARY
Good after miss
AMELIA
(She return the smile)
yeah rose, how are you?
ROSEMARY
I’m very well ma, how are you?
AMELIA
I’m good…. thanks.
ROSEMARY
Please come inside.
rose opened the door wilder for her to go inside.
Amelia sat in the living room while rose went upstairs to inform Michael that Amelia was around.
some minutes later Michael arrived downstairs looking so very sad.
AMELIA
(she got up immediately she saw him)
good afternoon boss
MICHAEL
Amelia, what are you doing here?
(he asked her without replying her greeting)
AMELIA
I came to see if you are okay, you said you were gonna come yesterday but you didn’t show up.
immediately she finished her last statement, Michael already knew Amara didn’t tell her he came there.
MICHAEL
sorry, I wasn’t too well yesterday, I should have call you to inform you.
AMELIA
oh okay, so how are you feeling now?
MICHAEL
I’m fine…. seat down.
AMELIA
(she took her seat)
so, have you eaten?
MICHAEL
I’m actually not hungry, but I will eat soon.
AMELIA
more of why you should have answered my calls yesterday, all mg effort was just wasted.
MICHAEL
What do you mean?
AMELIA
I made something very delicious for you yesterday, Amara even made me go to the supermarket to get you wine, I came back expecting you to be there but you weren’t.
Michael was beginning to put one plus one together, but the answer wasn’t clear yet so he decided to asked her another question.
MICHAEL
I’m sorry I couldn’t come…. so tell me, how’s Peter?
AMELIA
who is Peter?
(she asked back confusedly)
MICHAEL
I don’t know, I just had this dream about peter.
AMELIA
I don’t know who pet….
(she paused)
MICHAEL
what is it?
AMELIA
Are you talking about Peter that stays in the same compound with us? how did you dream about him? have you guys met before?
MICHAEL
there’s a Peter in your compound?
AMELIA
yes, she’s Amara’s friend though, because as you already know I’m not the type that socialize, but Amar, she’s a free spirit person.
Michael finally got the answer he was looking for, his mind went back to the way Amara hu-gged him seductively when he drove in, how she ki-ssed him after telling him trash about Amelia, how she begged him not to tell her sister because it will ruin the family.
AMELIA
hey, what’s wrong? you look worried.
MICHAEL
(He smiled)
I’m sorry Amelia, I’m sorry for doubting you, and I promise I will never doubt you ever again.
Amelia was confuse, she didn’t know where all those words were coming from, the last time she checked, she and Michael didn’t have any disagreement so what was he talking about?
AMELIA
what are you talking about?
MICHAEL
Nothing, I’m just excited to see you.
AMELIA
really? okay if you are that excited to see me, that means you will do me a favor?
MICHAEL
ask for it and you will have it.
AMELIA
I want you to go and eat something please.
Michael was shocked, he thought she wanted to ask for money just as Amara has told him, that she would be collecting money from him and he giving it to her boyfriend.
MICHAEL
that’s the favor you want?
AMELIA
that would make me very happy.
Michael agreed to eat so she went to look for rosemary, she met her in the kitchen, it seems like she just finished cooking so she asked her to serve him his lunch.
ROSEMARY
I’m really glad you came miss, the whole of yesterday my boss refused to eat anything, around 1pm yesterday I went to his room to inform him lunch was served but he told me he was going out and that he will eat there….. he came back not long after looking very sad and angry, he didn’t even reply my greetings. I’m sure wherever he must have gone to yesterday really got him pissed.yp,
Amelia was confused, Amara said Michael didn’t show up, and Michael confirmed it now saying he wasn’t too well yesterday so he couldn’t go out…. could they he lying?
AMELIA
Thank God I’m here now, please serve the lunch.
she excused herself and went back to the living room, she kept thinking of what rosemary told her, she was so tempted to ask him where he went to yesterday but feared rosemary might lose her job so she just let it slide.
Around 4pm Michael decided to drop Amelia home since she was complaining that she didn’t want her mother to come back and not meet her at home.
He parked in front of their gate, Amelia came down from the car but he still say inside.
AMELIA
you want to come inside?
MICHAEL
no, I will pas-s.
AMELIA
Amara would have been so happy to see you.
MICHAEL
send my regards to her, I have to run along, I have other appointments.
AMELIA
alright, see you tomorrow.
MICHAEL
take care dear .
she moved back from his car, Michael started his car and drove away while Amelia went into the house…. she was so grateful her mother hasn’t return yet.
