📝Suzy POV

I finally resumed back to work. Work is always hectic and demanding. Attending to one patient to the other, helping out in the emergency room, and saving people’s life. But I’ve come to love my job. I had to get up immediately I was free, and moved around my office. I could feel the pain in my bu-tt, though it was a comfortable chair, that helped you relax.
I used the free time I had to visit the lab, and immediately I told them what I c@m£ for, comments from different angle, showing their excitement.

“Baby number three.”

“Mr. Stephen has finally score this time.”

“And this time around, it’s triplets.”
I couldn’t help smiling. Especially the triplets p@rt. After I just had twins, they still want triplets for me? It’s a joyful thing, but I alre-ady have two I was still coping with. A baby junior would be okay. And I know my husband would strongly agree to the plan.
I got the result that confirmed I was two months pregnant. I called Victor immediately, because he had been calling to know if the result was out or not. His voice went high with excitement, and his laughter full of joy. He couldn’t hide how ecstatic he was when I told him we were expecting a new baby.
I raised my head to look at the wall clock. It was almost time for me to take my leave. Searching around for my things, and quic-kly packed them together at one side on the desk. I heard my phone buzz telling me there was a message for me. A smile spre-ad across myl-ips seeing who the s£nder was. I immediately opened the message.

‘Mummy junior.’ That was all.

The smile on myl-ips wi-de-ned, and spre-ad all over to my face. Since I told him about not texting me anymore, my hubby was back to the old Victor he was back then. He tried to call and text to check on me, which I love.

‘Mummy the producer.’ Another message c@m£ in, brightening up my smile. I started pressing back my phone to reply his message.
‘Daddy the supplier.’ I texted back. He replied with a smile emoji, and I did too.

‘How is my little junior doing?’ He s£nt back.

I gradually moved my hand to my tummy, and ru-bbe-d my hand on it. “Hey baby junior,” I said only to have myself smiling wi-dely. “Your n@ûghty Daddy is asking of you. He loves you so much, and he’s alre-ady spoiling you before your arrival. What should I tell him?” I laughed at the silly question I asked my little baby who was still growing. But I could feel he hears like every woman imagines.
‘I’m fine Daddy. Mommy is so nice to me. I’ve been
eating since morning.’ I couldn’t help laughing at what I s£nt to him. But that was the truth. I was taking care of his baby, and the little boy has been eating to his satisfaction.
My phone buzz immediately and I laughed at his reply. He s£nt an emoji of a guy putting his two hands on his head. ‘Yee! Junior you’re starting to be
like Mommy.’ He added, and I laughed. As I was about replying him, I heard a knock.

“Doctor Stephen.” I raised my head to see Doctor Malik walked in. He was the one going to take the night shift. I greeted him, and quic-kly packed my things inside my bag. Everyone still calls me Doctor Suzy, but he chose to call me by me husband’s name which I’ve come to adapt with. My phone buzz again, and I quic-kly checked the message.

‘I’m around. Are you re-ady to leave?” I was surprised. Victor was around. I walked out of the office, and said my goodbye.
‘Honey, are you around for real?’ I s£nt back, because Victor rarely picks me up from work. Is just once in a blue moon thing. His reply c@m£ instantly, and I opened it as I check out.

‘Yes sweetheart. I’m taking you and junior home
today.’ I couldn’t help the little chuckle that escaped myl-ips. Is as if he could s-en-se I was so tired to drive myself home. Doesn’t junior nee-d a gala from mummy? He truly deserves one.
I roamed my hand inside my little hand bag and brou-ght out the gala sausage roll. I could hear my little junior singing like his brother, Emmanuel, whenever I give him gala.

🎵🎶 keep moving with gala…
🎵🎶 keep growing with gala…
🎵🎶 gala sausage roll. . .

I threw the nylon inside the dustbin as I stepped outside the hospital building. I di-pped my hand inside my bag again, to give junior another gala. Only for me to realize, junior and I has finished the gala we brou-ght for the day.

I saw Victor climbe-d down from his black, new Mercedes car which he just bought. He walked towards me. “Let’s help Mummy junior,” he said with a smile on his face, collecting my extra bag. I felt a bit embarras-sed, not able to hide the sheepish grin on my face. “Honey, will you st©p this alre-ady.”
He laughed. “I should st©p ma-king you smile.” It was like a question, but I just roll my eyes at him, and headed straight to the car. I climbe-d in, and fastened my belt. “Who is going to pick up my car?” I asked immediately he got in beside me, at the driver’s seat.

“Jato will come.” He mentioned one of the guys who worked for him.

“How was your day?” I asked him, putting my things aside. He looked a bit stressed. Like he had been pondering on a matter. But he managed to make a silly face at me. “So boring without you,” he said.

Hmm.. I didn’t believe that.

“Why looking at me like that?” He asked.

I giggled. “I was just about to tell you mine was boring as well.”
He smiled. “Well it doesn’t look like it. I guess one man has been texting you today, and the smile on your face says it’s your husband ma’am.”

I laughed. “So is only my husband that can make me smile this way?”

He nodded. “He has the keys to every smile. You want me to prove it?” He moved his hand to my side to tickle me. I laughed a little, and gr@bb£d his big hand. If we kept on with that, we would never leave there. “Victor plea-se let’s go, the children are waiting for us. And junior can’t wait to eat.” I was able to come up with something.

He laughed, and started the car immediately, as we headed to my sister’s place to pick up both Emmanuel, and Emmanuella

“Mrs. Stephen in the building.” I smiled as usual, as I stepped into my sister’s shop. My sister was fond of teasing me with that name. “I see Suzy, I see money.” Sister Blessing added her usual way of greeting me.
“You’re just looking fresh, and fresh everyday sis. Come and give me out of this cream, or I should ask for money instead.” I laughed because I knew it was just her usual way of teasing, and joking with me. Immediately I took my seat, I heard my little cuties voices as they ran to me.

“Mommy! Mommy!”

“Don’t rush me!” I never wanted to shout, but I ended up shouting, causing my sister to throw me a curious look. After all the shout, and warning reaction I threw at them, they both jumped on me.

“Easy…mommy is really tired.” I tried not to show the pain I felt by bringing down my voice a little bit low and calm.
“Mommy, where is Daddy?” Emmanuel asked.

I pointed towards outside. “Inside the car, he’s coming,” I told them, but instead of waiting, they ran outside. I was more than glad to have time with my sister. I was so happy to see how well she was doing. I could remember how things were a bit tough for her family few years back, after I got married to Victor.

The salary she was getting was not enough, so she started the hair business, and selling childrens clothes. She wasn’t fully in it because of time at the office then. After some months, and how buoyant the sales was going, she decided to resign and focus more on her business. Both Emmanuel, and Emmanuella ran back and carried their bags.

“You look tired, hope the twins aren’t giving you much stress?” Sister Blessing asked, with a look of worry on her face.
I smiled and shook my head. Really do not know whether to tell her yet or not. I stared at her worry face, and smiled at her. “We are expecting a baby.” I spilled the bean, getting her shocked. Displa-ying a look of surprise, and staring at my stomach to be sure whether the baby was really there.

I laughed. “Sister Blessing I’m pregnant.” I shocked her once more. She finally smiled, and screamed, getting the attention of the girls helping her in the shop. “Ehnn! Baby number three. Congratulations darling sister. Mom will be so thri-lled, and over the moon. She’s gonna be a Grandma again. I’m so happy sister.”
This time I took her turn, and laughed.

“As you’ve shared the news with me, we’ll come over to celebr@te with you once they are born in Jesus name.”
“Amen!” I immediately claimed it. I knew that was just preamble. If I announce to mom, I should expect, and get re-ady to write down prayer points. I was so proud of mom for the good job she did raising myself and my sister. At a point, I was scared of the life my sister lived. She had to struggle. She and her husband sold most of the properties they had just to survive.
And immediately she discussed to me about her business, I was glad I could render my as-sistance even though she felt a bit reluctant to accept my offer. But I was grateful to God she picked up, and today things are going fine for her family.
Of course, it was a case of, ‘Suzy, I should be the
one giving to you, and not the other way round’. It is normal I guess. But what will people say? That the younger sister was doing so well, and couldn’t help her sister. We talked for some time, and enjoyed each other’s company. After some minutes, I got up to finally take my leave. That was then Victor walked in to say hi to my sister.

“Our Daddy,” my sister tea-sed. I could see both Emmanuel, and Emmanuella staring somehow, like… What is this woman saying?
“Ah! Big mommy, that is my Daddy now.” Everyone couldn’t help but laugh at what Emmanuella said. I knew that look would result to something.

“We know he is your Daddy,” I told her, and she immediately kept her mouth quiet. We said our goodbyes and headed home. Since sister Blessing got her new shop, she has been helpful, and would gladly accept my children to stay at her shop with her after school, till we come for them.
