The members of the Delgado didn’t wait for the doctor to state the obvious from the look on his face before they began mourning.
“Grandpa can’t be dead yet, he’s a fighter, he can’t just leave us like that” Edna cried bitterly.
“We are sorry, we did our possible best to save him but his organs were failing and like I had said earlier. It was a fifty out of fifty. I am pretty sure if he was younger then he would have survived” the doctor said sadly.
“Then can we go in?” Mason asked and the doctor nodded at him.
Taking a deep breath, the Delgado family slowly walked in. The monitor wasn’t beeping anymore and there was a body covered in a white cloth from head to toe and they could already tell that he was the old man.
Some of them couldn’t move anymore, they slumped on the floor and began to cry. It was Mason who courageously and slowly moved forward.
He slowly brought his shaky hands to the white cloth and pulled it down gently. Presented before him was the lifeless face of the old man.
His eyes were closed and even though he didn’t plan to die now. Mason could tell the old man was at piece knowing everything are into place and knowing he experienced his great grandchild calling him great grandpa.
A tear dropped from Mason’s eyes as he slowly covered the old man corpse with the white blanket.
“He’s gone, grandpa is gone” he muttered with a sad look on his face.
“Who said I’m gone?” The sudden voice made all of them pause for some seconds before slowly turning to where the voice came from.
The old man who looked dead some minute ago was suddenly wide awake like nothing had happened. The Delgados were looking too stunned to speak.
“I don’t understand, what is happening?” Carson was the first to speak, nothing but shock filled his entire system.
The doctor then walked back in with an apologetic look on his face. “Your grandpa insisted we go for a little prank not me, please don’t get mad at me” he apologized to the family that was still in shock.
“Do you really have to put on this show old man!” Mason didn’t know how to feel. He was happy and angry at the same time but happiness got the best of him.
At least the old man wasn’t dead.
“Don’t do that again Grandpa” Skyler went to the hospital bed to hug him followed by the other Delgados.
After a bit of tears of happiness. The old man faced Mason who was standing with Jacob.
“Are you trying to say that you wouldn’t even burst out in tears if something happens to me?” Grandpa Mario had some sort of disappointed look on his face as he stared at Mason then his eyes moved to Jacob.
“And you’re slowly following his footsteps. I think it’s about time I force both you and Hudson to get married” he also scolded.
“So this was what it was all about?” Mason frowned before walking out of the ward.
The old man sighed in a bit of regret for playing with his family’s feelings like that.
“I truly apologize for the prank, it’s the last time I’ll do something like this, I promise” he gave them a pleading look.
“We forgive you grandpa” Edna smiled and the family turned happy once again.

FEW DAYS LATER; DELGADOS’ MANSION★
Grandpa Mario was forced to stay few days in the hospital before he was released. Ivy and Maya were also out of the hospital and the moment Maya was out, she was taken to jail to serve her life punishment.
Currently the family were gathered in the living room. It was time to have a good discussion, the old man walked in and pass an envelope to Mason.
“Today we are letting everything out in this family. I’ve been hiding something from everyone for long” the old man sat down.
The family knew about what happened days back. What Dylan and Maya did and they were down about it, especially Emily not knowing she had a daughter who had been in this family all these and Rosa who had been blaming herself from herself for her husband’s death.
Ivy has also been down ever since she was released. She had been down with that thought that she had been in a relationship with her brother all these while.
“Your grandma committed suicide” the old man started. “But before she did that, she left a letter and she said I should give it Dylan and also Mason when he gets mature” Grandpa Mario urged Mason to open the letter.
When Mason did, he found out that Dylan wasn’t only his father but wasn’t the old man son too. When Juliana and Mario married, their parents weren’t really in approve and Juliana wasn’t feeling well. After given birth to her first son, the doctor said the chances of the boy surviving was low.
Juliana exchanged her baby with a woman that claim she was not ready to have kids yet which was Dylan and ever since then what she did had always haunted her. Each time she close her eyes, she hears the cries of her son as she put him in the arms of another woman and she isn’t even sure if he was alive or dead now.
She wrote the letter because she was so afraid to tell them to the late head of the Delgado, Sergio Delgado the late father of the old man that ruled the family with an iron fist.
Mason folded the later when he was done.
“I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do with this information. It has nothing to do with me, Ivy should be given this instead” Mason said and Ivy looked at him.
“He’s right Ivy, Dylan is not actually your father. He’s not my son and he’s not a Delgado, you’re not related to him or Blake in anyway” Grandpa Mario said then continued.
“Your real father is from the Salmond family. He divorced Emily when he thought she couldn’t give birth” the old man said before looking at Mason again.
“When Maya was put behind bars, I came to pay her a visit and I asked about your whereabouts. She told me everything, I went there and your wouldn’t believe that the man she ran from was actually the son Juliana abandoned” the old man finally let it out.

NEXT DAY★
Mason arrived with Skyler and the old man to an old familiar house. He looked at Grandpa and when grandpa Mario nodded at him, he slowly knocked the door.
It opened revealing Miguel in a white singlet. He seemed like he was just waking up from sleep.
He looked surprised to see the Delgados standing in his doorstep. Mason and Skyler were also surprised to see him.
“Is your father in?” The old man asked.
Miguel was still stunned to reply when a hoarse male voice sounded from behind.
“Let them in Miguel”
Mason, Skyler and the old man were sitting and paying attention to all they just heard. Johnson, Miguel’s father was actually Julian’s son that she gave out. He wasn’t dead and was surprisingly cured from his illness.
He married Maya and she abandoned him, taking his baby (Mason) to the Delgado family. Mason and Miguel were brothers of the same father and Mason was actually a Delgado and still the Grandson of the old man.
“I knew he looked familiar when I saw him” Skyler said while looking at Miguel. There was a tinge of familiarity between his face and Mason’s. Turns out they were brothers all along.
That was my Miguel stepped back from Edna when his father explained to him. The person that adopted his father from Juliana actually told him everything before he died.
“I don’t blame you, I know that if you had known I was your son all along then you would have come find me since. It’s still so weird to accept that we are actually apart of you guys and we would need some time to accept it” Johnson said to the old man.
It would also take Mason and the other Delgados some time to get used to what they just found about themselves.

THREE MONTHS LATER★
Everything was moving on slowly by slowly. Everyone were finally getting comfortable with themselves especially in accepting that there was a new Delgado among them.
Edna was the one having a had time the most especially when she had a sort of thing with Miguel.
Ivy just arrived at the police station after so long. She went to see Maya and spilled to her how much she hates her, when she was on her way out, she decided to pay a visit to Blake.
“Ivy, I thought I’ll never see you again!” Blake said the moment he got to the visitation room but all Ivy did was to look at him in disgust.
“You really think I came for you Blake? You’re so vain” she let out a chuckle.
“I get you hate me now but I’m really sorry Ivy, I regret everything I did to you please can you forgive me” Blake pleaded.
Ivy stared at him, he looked like he had suffered a lot, they were a lot of bruises on his face and she felt really happy.
“I came to see if you’ve suffered enough and I’m sad to see not. You deserve everything and many more to come” she scoffed before standing up and leaving.
Skyler also came to see Maya.
“Are you here to tell me you hate me too just like everyone did?” Maya couldn’t look at Skyler’s face out of shame.
“You indeed did lots of evil things Maya and I should hate you but I don’t because I believe no one is born bad. There’s still time for you to change Maya, I want you to for once close your eyes and see that you did wrong for once and promise yourself that if you get out of this mess one day you will follow the right path. I’m telling you this cause you’re still Mason’s mom, you’re that grandmother of my kids and they wouldn’t be happy to hear this story of you when they grow up, that’s all” Skyler said before standing up to leave.
“Skyler” Maya called and she turned back.
“I really envy you a lot. You have a good heart and you’re good at making everyone love you. I’m sorry Skyler for everything I did but I don’t need your forgiveness. I just want to say I’m grateful you came here to talk to me” Maya said.
Skyler only smiled at her before leaving completely.

It was the twins one year old birthday. There was a party in the mansion for them, the twins were dressed in matching clothes and had a cake each.
The family sang them birthday song and took pictures with them. The party was a blast but that was not all.
Mason knelt in front of Skyler with a ring.
“I had thought of this long before now. I really don’t know what would become of me if I didn’t bump into you on the street. It’s like you blessed my life and I don’t want our marriage to happen because I was desperate. I want it to be because I really love you so I’m doing it the right way. Beautiful, will you marry me?” Mason’s eyes were sparkling as he waited for an answer.
Skyler was speechless and happy at the same time. When did Mason planned all these? But she was really excited to have her dream wedding with him.
“Oh my god, yes of course!” Skyler was glad, she stretched her third finger and Mason slid the ring on her finger.
Everyone clapped, Mason pulled Skyler up and pulled her for a kiss.
“Mama and dadda?” Scarlett pointed at Mason and Skyler as she looked at Carson with a confused face.
“Yes they are kissing” Carson smiled.
“Ka bo bo ta ta?” She said while giving him a curious look.
“Uncle didn’t get that but yes they are getting married” Carson replied.

EPILOGUE★
Jacob was dressed in a neat tuxedo as he sat on the empty table waiting for his blind date to show up. Grandpa has been forcing him to get into a relationship and he had to do this to make everything stop.
His chair moved and a woman sat in front of him. Looking at her face, she looked a little familiar but he don’t know where he met her.
“It’s you!” She exclaimed.
“You know me?” He gave her a surprised.
“You saved me, hit me with your car and took me to the hospital when I was kidnapped” she reminded him.
Jacob recognized her now. She looked different in a good way, she was well dressed with some make up.
“I see you’re getting better, I didn’t catch your name” he said.
“It’s Ariel and I know you, you’re Jacob Delgado” she replied with a smile.
Jacob thought she had a nice smile. Maybe he can try to see if he could actually work things with her.
“So would you like to eat anything?” He then asked and Ariel only smiled.

“How does it look?” Skyler opened the manikin.
She just finished designing her wedding dress and unlike last time. It was better than the one she made for Felix.
“You’re so talented sis” Ivy couldn’t help but smile.
“I’m not surprised” Ashely rolled her eyes and they all laughed.
Kiara moved towards Skyler and held her hands.
“Mason is a good man, please make sure to treat him well as well as he treats you” Kiara said to her.
“I promise ma” Skyler smiled and they both shared a hug.
Mason already planned that after getting married they would move out of the Delgados’ mansion. He has been having a house built to start a life with just Skyler and his kids.
Finally it was the wedding day. Mason stood with Miguel, Hudson and Jacob as he watched his beautiful bride walking towards him at the altar.
Her dress was really beautiful, he knew she did it herself and couldn’t help but get even more proud of her.
The family members were sitting with the audience. The old man was at the front with his Maxwell while Kiara carried Scarlett as they watched Skyler with a smile.
Skyler got to Mason and they both faced eachother.
“Mr Mason Delgado, are you willing to take miss Skyler Wang as your loving wife and stay with her in the time of sadness and happiness and stay true to each other at all times?” The priest asked Mason.
Mason stared at Skyler with an affectionate look.
“Yes I do” he replied.
“Miss Skyler Wang are you willing to take Mr Mason Delgado as your loving husband and be with him all the time, be happy when he’s happy and be sad when he’s sad and stay true to each other at all time?” The priest asked Skyler.
“Yes I do” Mason could see Skyler smiling through her vail.
“Then it is done, I now pronounce the both of you Hudson and wife. Mr Delgado, you may now kiss your bride” the priest said.
Mason pulled the vein from Skyler’s face and cupped her cheeks. “You’re so beautiful” he whispered to her.
“I love you” she smiled and he caressed her cheeks even more before leaning closer to capture her lips in a sweet and loving way.
Everyone couldn’t stop clapping and the rest of the day and their lives were filled with nothing but happiness.
