CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Gabrielle arrived at the condo Kathy stayed and found her car still parked in the garage. “I won’t take long.” She told the driver before stepping outta the car and walked towards the exit.
She didn’t bother knocking and just stepped Into her apartment.
“Kathy?” She half yelled and walked towards the kitchen.
Katherine who heard her best friend’s voice whom she thought would never see couldn’t help but think she was hallucinating.
“Kathy are you in here?” She heard the same voice again but this time she listened and rushed outta the kitchen to find Gabrielle also walking towards the kitchen.
“Oh my goodness!” Kathy pulled into a heart felt hu-g and almost bawled her eyes out.
“Where the fuc-k have you been Gabby? What really happened that day?” Kathy had so many questions but didn’t even know where to start from.
“Calm down okay? I’m sorry I didn’t tell you anything because I kinda lost my phone.” Gabby pulled away and hu-gged Kathy again.
“You better start talking right now!” Kathy pulled away and towards the couch with a frown plastered on her forehead.
Gabby chuckled softly and joined her on the couch too.
“Okay first of all I’m sorry for not reaching out on time and also not telling you about my wedding to Lord Xavier Williams.”Gabby said in one breath and Kathy almost choked on her saliva.
“You what???????” She was glaring at Gabby for answers immediately.
“Woah calm down okay I can explain.” Gabby as-sured but Kathy wasn’t having it.
“What do you mean you got to married to Lord Xavier ? The lord Xavier? You were married to Harry remember?” Kathy looked at Gabby with so many questions hovering over her head.
“I never got married to Harry or rather I found the real reason he wanted to marry me so I got married to someone powerful than him.” Gabby decided not to tell her friend about the circu-mstances around her for-ced marriage.
Kathy observed her best friend carefully for any leakage of emotions but found nothing.
“Why do I feel like you’re hiding something?” Kathy said with raised eyebrow but Gabby wasn’t gonna come clean.
“Trust me lord Williams is not what you think he’s. He’s a loving and caring partner any woman would wish for.” Gabby almost puked from her terrible lies.
‘loving and caring my a$$.’ her inner self mocked.
“Wow if that’s the case then I would love to meet him soon. You look more beautiful than the last time I saw you so I’m quite satisfied he’s indeed doing a great job.” Kathy finally relented.
“God I’ve missed you so so so much babe.” Gabby squeaked and hu-gged her again.
“Me too. Come on let’s go have brunch together.”Kathy stood up and pulled Gabrielle towards the kitchen.
The two friends happily prepared lunch without any care in the world.
Xavier Williams on the other hand took the car keys from his driver and without another word he drove outta the company garage while turning on the tracking device on his other car.
Drove like a wounded lion rushing to get treated, he broke the speed limit and in no time he arrived at the condo downtown.
He found the car parked by a condo with a minimalist exterior Design. He got outta his car and walked towards the driver who was frightened by his presence.
“Where’s she?” He Gr0-n and the driver pointed at the condo indicating that she’s inside.
He didn’t say anything more and walked towards the doorbell and rang it impatiently.
The door pulled opened almost immediately and the people at the door almost died from shock.
“Excuse me, is my wife here?” Williams asked calmly and it took a minute for Kathy to calm her beating her.
Was God playing tricks on her or what? First Gabby now Xavier Williams? The devil!
“Who’s that Kat?”Gabby called from the kitchen and Kathy almost burst into ripples of laughters but controlled herself.
“Yes she is, why don’t you come in.” Kathy opened the door wide enough for him to come in.
Williams walked into her condo and sat down on the couch unhurriedly and Kathy couldn’t help but praise Gabby for her good taste in men.
“Gabby someone’s here to see you.” Kathy didn’t say his name so she could watch her friend’s reaction.
“Who is tha…” Gabby’s sentence got stuck in her throat when she saw who her visitor was.
‘what the heck is he doing here?
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN.
Gabrielle was dumbstruck when she saw him staring at her with a cunny sm-irk.
“Hello wife , did you miss me?” He intentionally sounded s-×y , Gabrielle was surprised he could sound so cheeky.
“Tsk! You wish.” Gabrielle rolled her eyes and sat down beside him.
Thanks so his dramatic appearance she would have to act like the lovin’ couple Infront of Kathy to avoid suspicion.
“Yeah I do wish you would miss me, ain’t you gonna introduce me to your friend?”
Williams turned to Kathy who was seriously watching the two love bird have their cute fights.
“Ah ehn, I’m Katherine, Gabby’s childhood friend. It’s an honor to finally meet the man behind my girlfriend’s beautiful smile.” Kathy couldn’t help but alittle bit dramatic with her introduction.
“Oh I guess I don’t really nee-d to introduce myself anymore,my darling wife already did me the honors.” Lord Williams planted a ki-ss on Gabby’s cheeks and Gabby glared at him stylishly.
“Stop feeding her dog food.” Gabrielle said in between gritted teeth and Williams winked at her seductively.
“Well I guess I’ll just go back to the kitchen and make lunch for everyone.” Kathy’s cheeks was burning red from embarras-sment.
She couldn’t stay around the two love birds else they were gonna feed her dog food.
“I’ll come with you!” Gabby stood up immediately but Williams pulled her wrist she lost her Balance and fell directly on Williams.
“No! Don’t bother, you can stay here withP him.” Kathy covered her crimson red face and ran towards the kitchen.
“I never knew my wife was a seductress.” Williams whispered into her ear teasingly making her almost flinched.
“Let go of me!” Gabrielle glared but instead he made her sit on his thigh with his hand tucked around her wai-st.
“Why? You were very comfortable fli-rting with me Infront of your friend.” Williams held her earlobe in between his teeth making her shiver in delight.
His touch ignited alot of things in her and she couldn’t un-derstand anymore.
Her insides made chumming sounds as his fingers stro-ked her abdomen gently making almost melt into a puddle.
“Ofcourse I wouldn’t want her to know why you got married to me in the first place and can you please stop doing it?” If he continued to stro-ke her abdomen like that she won’t be able to take it anymore.
“Stop what love? ” He feigned ignorance and Gabrielle wanted so badly to wipe that smug look off his face.
“Argh! Why are you here in the first place?” She asked with raised eyebrow.
“Why did you hang up on me?” The seriousness in his eyes made Gabrielle giggle.
“You’re so unbelievable lord Xavier.” Gabrielle preyed his hand open and got off his lap immediately and sat down beside him.
“Yes I’m.” He took out his phone and typed a message for his secretary before dropping his phone back to stare at his stubborn wife.
All he wanted to do was tie her to the bed and spa-nk her a$$ pretty badly.
“You’re not seriously expecting me to believe you came all the way here because I hung up on you?”
Gabrielle didn’t know how to react to this piece of information. Sometimes she wondered how the billionaire CEO’s br@in functions.
“What if I did ? Do you have a problem with that bu-tter cu-p?” He was obviously teasing her and she decided to just ignore him for the time being.
The atmosphere had become weird but fortunately Kathy came on Time to call them over for lunch.
“Lunch is ready love birds!” She called out from the dining room while setting the table.
Williams stood up with Gabby’s hand in his and pulled her along with him.
She could only hide her grievances till she’d left the place then she’s gonna give him a taste of his own medicine.
“I didn’t know you would be coming over so I made a few of my specials so I’m wondering if you’re kinda picky with your food.” Kathy asked the moment Gabby and lord Xavier took their various seats.
“It’s okay I’m not much of a picky eater, the dishes are impressive.” He complimented which filling his wife’s plate with various types of delicacies.
Gabrielle was beyond shocked The devil actually complimented someone.
“What did you just do?”
