When Br@ndon said he wasn’t gonna ask me out again,he really meant it. the worse is I’ve not, I’ve not seen him with one of the dumb half dress girls he normally goes out with. he just buried himself with work ever since. His mom was so worried about him yesterday. I glanced at my watch and frowned as I watched him fix a car. and to think he hasn’t eating this morning, I picked the tray of sandwich and orange jui-ce and walked over to the garage.
” hi Br@ndon” I said and he glanced at me. he’s just the definition of se-xy. too bad he’s a f***boy . I stared at his tattoos and the way swe-trolled down his arbs . I quickly looked away when our eyes met. stop it Mildred you already told the guy you can’t go out with him ,so stop eye ra-ping him.
” Mimi ” Br@ndon called and I snapped outta my thoughts. ” Br@….n..don” I said trying to keep a normal posture.
” you know if I was the one staring at you like that,you would have @$$umed I was out to fu-ck you” he said and I stared at him wide-eyed.
” wh…..at….did..you just say ? I asked feigning innocence.
I keep forgetting this guy’s mouth has no filter.

” so that’s all for today ” Mrs may our science teacher said and the Bell rang for school dismiss. I have to leave for my mom’s bakery, one of her workers took a leave so she nee-ds extra hands. I’m so grateful to the heavens that ion have to tutor Nora today, that girl is just plain dumb , anything you teach her enters from one ear and leaves from the other.
” hey Wes ” I heard her call out to me talk about the devil.
” hi Nora ” I said and she smiled. ” are you heading home ? I can drop you off” she offered shyly and I smi-rked. is she really trying to hide the fact that she has a thing for me ? I mean she literally stares at me throu-ghout our lessons.
” no thanks it’s outta your way “I said and she looked hurt. ” Wesley I just wanna help please” she pleaded. ” okay” I said by the way who doesn’t like free rides? if she wants to go outta her way to help me, that’s her business who am I to stop her ?

” good afternoon sir, how is your head now ? I asked Mr Alexander as he walked into the sitting room dressed in a white sleeve and red shorts paired with a diamond laid sli-ppers. he looked handsome and younger, I stopped staring when I remembered what I discussed with Loli and Lola in other not to fall crazily in love with Mr Alexander,I had to avoid thinking about him.
isn’t it too early to start liking someone already ? and besides everything is happening so fast my feelings are all so messed up.
” are you okay Emerson ? Mr Alex asked and I breath out.
” yes sir” I said quickly and he gave me a suspicious look and still brush it off. ” sir are you not going to the office today ? I asked and he looked at his watch. ” nope, I’m taking my day off” he said and my eyes grew wide.
” you what ? I screamed in shock.
” EMERSON” sir scolded
” I’m so sorry it was just so surprising” I said and he blus-hed in embarr@$$ment.
” sir are you blus-hing ? ” I teased and he looked away. ” no….I don’t blus-h ” he said avoiding eye contact.

” oh really now ? I asked and he bit his lower li-p. ” Emerson you talk too much” he said and I frowned while he chuckled. ” so what are you doing now ? he asked and I turned to him.
why is he acting wiered lately ? he never asks what I’m too. ” no…thing sir Mia’s out and won’t be back from school till later in the day” I said and he gave a nod. I was about to live when he called my name again.
” how about we go out together ? he asked and I froze ??
” wait…not.. like go out…in that way” he said panicking. ” oh I un-derstand” I said and he calmed down.

” so ?he asked and smiled. ” I’ll just go get changed sir” I said and headed to my room.

” I’ll just go get changed sir” Emma said and went upstairs. did I just asked Emma to keep me company ? this is not good. my phone rang immediately, I checked the caller ID and it was vida.
wow so she finally remembered me . I wonder what’s up with she and Morris . ” hello vee what’s up” I asked and we exchanged greetings.
” no I’m not in the office,I took a day off” I said. and she screamed. she screamed so loud I had to shift the phone from my ears. “Dela Cruz has anyone told you noise can cause headache” I asked and she burst out laughing.

” so where are you spending your day off ? I hope it’s not in your study room ” she teased.
” no… I’m going out with Emma to the…I was saying but she caught me off with her loud screams. I guess I’ll be deaf before the end of this.
” you finally asked her out ? she asked and I frowned.
” ask who out ? I asked and she stopped screaming.
” are you that dumb Xander ? you have a thing for that girl” she said.
” vee it’s just a crush , it’ll fade away soon . besides she’s off limits for me, I mean she’s same age as my youngest sister ” I said and vee laughed.
” you wanna use the age difference card as an escuse now ? Alex just one advise . Make the right decision about what you wanna do with your growing feelings towards that girl. you know how wild You’re” she said and I bit my lower li-p.
” vee calm down Ive never looked at her in that manner okay, I’ve never been se-xually attra-cted to a woman after Diana ” I said and she paused for a while.
” Alex I don’t know okay, the Emma I met screams innocence I won’t be surprised if she’s a V¡rgin. I don’t want you to hurt her, you’re still hung on your wife so if you’ve not decided what you want from Emerson….” she said and I could detest pain in her voice.

” I’ll call you back vida ” Mr Alex said and cut the call. ” I’m ready sir ” I said and he turned to me. I was dressed in a white shirt with stri-pes and an ash coloured shorts paired with white fancy sli-ppers.
I hope I don’t look childish. ” sir …” I called and he snapped outta his thoughts.
” so where are we going sir ? I asked and he smiled. I’ve noticed he’s smiling a lot lately. ” shopping to buy clothes for Mia ” he said and I jumped excitedly.

” really sir…I didn’t know you did the shopping yourself” I said and he chuckled.
” you always look shocked each time you find out something about me Emerson, I’m a normal human like you” he said as he walked over to his car.
” like me ? oh no sir, you and I are very different. I don’t act cold , I enjoy life and my eyes are the mirror to my emotions, but you are a mystery sir . you ha-rdly let someone in. I know you’re a good father to Mia , buh you hide your pains perfectly” I said and he opened the door for me to go in and then sat on the drivers sit.
” I didn’t know you tried reading my emotions” he said after a while and I froze.
” Emerson sometimes it’s best you don’t dive into the de-ep, it might change things for the worse. he said and I could see pure pain in his eyes. I guess he’s thinking of mrs Diana .

he’s one of the strongest people I know. I don’t know why but I joined my hands with his in comfort. he smiled at me and I smiled back.

He agreed to be my friend and we went for the shopping and told Mr Alexaander to pick me them up into the car . it’s the Time for lunch and I swear I’m starving.
” you know you can tell me you’re hungry ” sir said amusement shinning in his eyes. and I blus-hed in embarr@$$ment there’s a restaurant there let’s go” he said and grabbed my hand . he walked in front and I couldn’t stop staring at our joined hands.
we walked into the restaurant and everyone was staring at us. especially the ladies.

we ordered our food and I didn’t waste time to eat. I heard Mr Alexander chuckling and I looked up to see he had ba-rely tou-ched his food.

” you eat a lot but you don’t get fat ” he said and I chuckled. he wiped the corner of my li-ps with his thumb and my heart beat increa-sed as we got into an eyelock. he looked away and muttered something to himself.
some minutes we where both coming outta the restaurant laughing as he told me about his fight with blue .
” seriously sir ? I looked at him while laughing.
” EMERSON” I heard someone scream. I can recognize that voice anywhere. ” Erik ” I muttered in fear. I turned in shock.
” so this is the reason you’ve been avoiding my calls Emerson ? you’re seeing a richer man now ? he screamed and I couldn’t form a word.
” Emma what’s the meaning of this” Erik bursted angrily. I can’t believe he did something like this in front of Mr Alexander.
” Erik let go of my hand” I said and he glared at me.
” why ? so you can go with him ? he said glaring at Mr Alexander. I watched in shock as sir pulled my hands away from his grip.
” you don’t do that in front of me” sir said camly but there was this aura of power around him. while Erik glared at him. ” don’t interfere when I’m talking to my girlfriend” Erik said and sir stared at me then back at Erik.
” it’s clear you don’t read the handwriting on the wall , you’re her ex now, and do you know what that means ? it means an example of something a person should never go back to Emma has moved on now” he said and held my hand before I could break down. he stared into my eyes comforting me silently.
he then turned back to Erik. ” this should be the last time you try to grab what’s mine like that ” he said sm-irking at Erik and I stared at him in shock. ” did he just claim me ?
